They say that most stories have happy endings

.... how happy can that story be if everyone you knew is either gone, or completely different than when you last saw them?

Your friends, who sure, were a couple of years older than you, are now teenagers. Already able to fight when you haven't even hit double digits.

You were told once that you were the last of your kind specifically... you didn't understand what that meant aside from that no one else had stripes like yours. You didn't care at the time, preoccupied with clinging to your favourite caretaker.

Then there's being trapped in one room for eight years, unable to age but still experiencing every excruciatingly lonely second. You cried out for a long time, hoping for someone to free you from your prison where it reeked of blood but never reeked of rot.

YO OKAY SO. I INITIALLY WANTED TO DO SOMETHING MORE HAPPY FOR THIS BUT THEN I REMEMBERED OH YEAH, KIRBY'S ANGST

Anyways here's some non angst to fix that

Little bit of backstory for him - Kirby's from the Apocalyptic timeline of Doublestep (of which I still haven't put up on AO3). His egg was found near a canister of mutagen and in efforts to recover him, his egg was exposed to it and hatched early.

He was originally named Callisto, but the name never stuck, as he always responded to Kirby, the name of April's father and his primary physician/uncle.

His favourite toy is named Floppy, thanks to the nature of its floppy arms. It was made for him by Mona Lisa and was his only toy for a while. He is almost never seen without it. Any other soft toys he receives from members of his bale are kept in a little cove-like nest he made, and are his comforts when he gets overwhelmed and needs to cry.

He also has isolophobia (morbid fear or dread of being alone) as a result of the collapse and being trapped alone in a room for eight years (while never aging past the age of three).

Decided to have fun and draw my favorite boyo Alec tonight. He's frustrated, and with good reason.

I'm about 10 pages into my rewrite of his entrance into the weirdness of fnaf, but it's pretty chaotic, and the insanity spreads like the plague. Might have to edit it a bit. XD I'm probably going to rewrite his story in a few different ways; he'll have his own self-oriented story featuring the help of a rather quirky idgaf Michael, which I'm writing now, and he'll be worked into my jeremike au that I put the breaks on a while back due to lack of motivation.

Hopefully, I'll have the time and motivation to work on both of these in the coming months. I'm doing it more for me than for anyone else, but I figured I'd update anyone who was actually interested. 😅

o because of his age in movie (like literally only a few days old), if he actually fully turned into a donkey, I think he'd be a baby donkey (baby donkeys are actually so cuteee!!!!)

o Geppetto calls him various endearing names in Italian (mio figlio, tesoro, dolce ragazzo, mio amore, etc. etc. etc.). ajksnjwoijqwe;knkdiuyqwnwe

o Pinocchio will sometimes just give sweet little gifts to his father (such as picking a small bouquet of wildflowers in the schoolyard and giving them to Geppetto) 🌻🌼🌷

o He really likes dried apples with cinnamon and sugar 🍎

o Pinocchio (unlike other children) doesn't protest often about going to bed. Rather, he actually likes sleeping. He loves his naps(eg. after his ordeal, Pinocchio wasn't sent away to school for a long while and just stayed home with his father, and he was so exhausted that Geppetto let him sleep in and take naps. Cuz his little body just couldn't handle being awake for very long periods of time after his trauma.)

o He's definitely insecure (the poor boy 😭). His ordeal has been ingrained into his mind; he did actually explain it to Geppetto, and Geppetto knows that it's not his fault (that he was too naive and didn't mean for it to happen, and it was entirely the fault of those who wanted to take advantage of him). But Pinocchio still feels so badly about it and he's doubtful about his self-worth and sometimes just doesn't feel worthy of Geppetto's love. But Geppetto's just so patient with him he loves him so much 🥰 And uses so many words of affirmation to help him

o He likes wearing cozy clothing and sweaters. (he loves that they make him feel safe and warm)

o He loves playing outside; he especially loves playing outside in autumn and winter (jumping in leaves, making snowmen, etc.)

o His favorite hobby is being with Geppetto. That's literally his favorite thing to do 😭❤️

o He loves hot chocolate (especially after a long day of playing in the snow and coming inside to warm up by the hearth)

o During his first Christmas season, Geppetto asked him what he wanted for Christmas. Pinocchio, after thinking, was like "Father, I have you and Figaro and Cleo. I don't need anything." And then he proceeded to ask for gifts for his family instead of himself in his letter to Santa

OH MY HEART 😭😭

o sometimes he'll sketch ideas for new toys for Geppetto (cuz he loves drawing and is actually quite good at it)

o He HATES dark chocolate. It's too bitter for him (ironically, Geppetto LOVES dark chocolate)
