Just a song that made me think of Sebastian 🖤🐍
Lyrics
Gonna make you feel it's alright all along
You and I both victims 'cause we played it wrong
If there's a future we could leave behind
See in reverse, I've got my hands tied
Floating again we'll see clearly, red oceans collide with the skies
Roses can't grow in dead cities, our hands in the after life
New Gods coming down to Earth
Our soulless eyes in our deep inside, you’ll be forever mine
I’ll fight with you until you're mine
Oh-oh-oh
I’ll die with you, I’ll prove this time
Is forever
You got me thinking it’s the afterlife
I’m losing grip, I’m sliding down the knife
Floating upside down I’m finally free
Conformed and lost, I can’t disagree
Floating again we'll see clearly, red oceans collide with the skies
Roses can't grow in dead cities, our hands in the after life
New Gods coming down to Earth
Our soulless eyes, conformed and lost, I can’t disagree
I’ll fight with you until you're mine
Oh-oh-oh
I’ll die with you, I’ll prove this time
Is forever

The bands music-map.com generates as similar to The Birthday Massacre.
Vs. Bands that actually remind me of The Birthday Massacre:
Kat Von D (all instrumentals, structure of songs), Night Club (the 80's beats + synth rock sound). Mr. Kitty (the 80s synths), The Anix (the rock sound + synths), Sky Ferreira (some vocals, the 90s rock sound + slight 80s vibe), Poppy (the vocals, lyrics, dark+light mix of sound).
I still listen to many of the bands that music-map generated, but most do not actually make me think of TBM, and I think are generated more from band history and the music scene that The Birthday Massacre has been involved with for 2 decades, rather than what is newer and what currently sounds like them :)

Anyway, twtr drama aside. What are ya’ll listening to lately?
I’ve gotten some artists recommendations on Spotify recently.
- The Hardkiss (band from Ukraine, they’re SO GOOD and their music videos are so theatrical & deep lyrics, I highly recommend watching the video for “Sestra” )
- Rok Nardin (I really liked the song “Whispers”, beautiful & haunting vocals. Will definitely check them out)
- Adrian von Ziegler (”Odyssey” was quite an experience).
- Disturbed (It’s always a great pleasure to see when Disturbed puts out new music no matter how many years have passed TT )
- The Wise Man’s Fear (’been looking for something HEAVY to listen to for awhile and this group has it, I really enjoyed “Mazerunner” and “The Rival”)
- ONE OK ROCK (”Luxury is a Disease” SLAPPED).
- The Anix (because YES bitch, you NEED to listen to them, especially give a listen to “Just Like You”. If you’re into Chase Atlantic you might like the vibe).
- Jeff Satur (the baddie who played Kim in KinnPorsche and stole our hearts with his beautiful voice. I still cry over “Why Don’t You Stay”, and now “Stranger”)
- Rustage feat. Jonathan Young (”Lost in the night” from Chainsaw Man is just *chef kiss* )
- Xavier Mayne, ELIO & Chase Atlantic (have you listened to “FOR HER” yet? This is your sign to do it now).
- Caleb Hayes, Jonathan Young, Jude & Jury (”Idolize” put on your headphones, close your eyes and just vibe)
