What If... Hunger Games
I recently watched The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and my head was instantly filled with ideas. This is probably my dumbest idea yet, but I also started thinking about the SCP Foundation which led me to thinking of another What If Scenario. Though now I'm not sure how it should even play out if it could even play out at all.

I don't know maybe I'm looking at it all wrong or maybe I'm missing something. I'm just posting it for now and maybe I'll pick it up as an actual concept for the SCP: Horror Movie Files later. Who knows, maybe in a few weeks I'll come up with a more fleshed out idea. Or maybe someone more talented than me will look at this and decide how to make it better. Either one is fine.

RESEARCH: FICTIONAL NATIONS
Many games have their own fictional nations and regions. These serve to improve immersion within games and also to generate a unique experience. They can also be useful components added by developers to fictionalize reality and create lore points for story elements.
I intend to research several of these (particularly those in the Just Cause franchise as it is the largest inspiration for my game) in an effort to brainstorm names for the fictional nation in my game.
EXAMPLE 1: REPUBLIC OF MEDICI [1]
The Republic of Medici is the fictional Mediterranean island nation where the entirety of Just Cause 3 is set. It appears to be named after the Italian word for "doctors", however, it also may possibly be named after Emílio de Medici - a Brazilian Military Dictator, or the House of Medici, a historical political family. The latter two could be intentional as both of these tie in with Just Cause 3's themes of corruption and capitalism. Many locations in Medici also are named using Latin for words that relate to their lore - for example, Vigilator Nord, Latin for "North Watcher", is a military radar base within Just Cause 3 that is said in the lore to be responsible for spying on the rebellion. This name obviously connects with the purpose of the military base and also ties in with the Medician language, which appears to be a mix between Romanian, Italian, French and Latin.
EXAMPLE 2: SOLÍS
Solís is the fictional nation in which Just Cause 4 takes place. It's name is possibly derived from the Spanish "solo" (alone), which possibly makes sense as the island seems to be located very far away from other land-masses, or the Spanish "Sol" (sun). It, much like Medici, has many locations with relevant names. Nueva Voz, for example, is the capital city of Solís and translates to "New Voice" from Spanish - this likely represents the city being "future-forward".
