Happy Holidays @starrisapphire ! I was your @touhousecretsanta this year. Sorry to keep you waiting. Hopefully you and the girls were waiting warmly.
I’ve never really drawn Star Sapphire much before so I hope I did her justice. I wanted to make a cold, wintery northern lights feeling for this drawing. Please enjoy!

So like, ever since I started playing Reverse 1999 I just had this idea in my head, so let this be the start of a series that I would like to call, "Stupid Touhou Crossovers" title explains itself, it's just really dumb crackfic doodles between the 2hus and other fandoms I'm in or have been in

watched Murder in Psuedo Paradise, which was really good and hooked me for the first like 10-12ish episodes up until around when the (horribly mischaracterized) Alice showed up and then I just got really confused, from then on out it wasn’t even a touhou fanwork anymore it was like it’s own thing. I can’t say it was good but it wasn’t completely bad? It just dragged out in the last third and felt like nothing was happening.
Art style was absolutely baller throughout and the main op is probably one of my favorite 2hu music videos ever tho
also satori is hooked up to a IV with a blend of opium and peach juice the whole time lol
Warning for rapid flashing colors at some points in the op, and major character death (and gore I guess?) in the series (like, a lot. So, so many people die)

fire emblem echoes shadows of valentia may be hard to look at in the modern day as a fantastic fire emblem game and people may question the halo it gets among some people but it helps to consider the context in which it released.
prior to echoes, fire emblem content ever since awakening had forgotten every single game prior to it (with maybe a little bit of marth added for flavor.) look at the casts of TMS#FE and FEW 1 for comparison; the character bias is undeniable. look at the cast of fire emblem heroes in the early years, for that matter.
fire emblem awakening and fates also have a very particular type of storytelling issue that despite the modern fe games releasing after them not having... stellar... writing they are not comparable in this sense. this storytelling issue is that there's the entire excuse plot to dating sim bait otaku into buying this game because the characters are sexy.
(yeah it's not like fire emblem doesn't have waifubait characters in general, but fire emblem is not, on average, a "which 2hu fuck" series. even in three houses, where the player can s-support pretty much everyone, the game is not focused around shipping.)
people prior to echoes' release were convinced that this was what fire emblem was now. it was otakubait dating sims forever and never mind what made it successful in the first place.
then echoes released. a remake that had no avatar. a remake that was so faithful the maps were exactly the same. sure, there were some story changes, but it was emphatically not a fateswakening style game. people were fucking overjoyed that the game wasn't 45% waifubait. people dunked on reporters being mad you couldn't pair celica and saber.
so, yes, the story of echoes doesn't really hold up over time. it made some really dumb changes that were, in hindsight, hallmarks of kusakihara's difficulties writing women. and maybe it could have stood to change the mechanics a bit more.
but in 2017 for anyone who had played a FE game before awakening and loved it it was everything.

I kept joking about a chupi 2hu, it becomes realer than ever and I didn't fucking notice
Chiyari is inspired by the blood-sucking chupacabra of American folklore, as well as the tenkajin, a blood-sucking will-o'-wisp from folklore in what is now the town of Tamamura. It's said that once the tenkajin was slain, the trail of blood left behind led to the corpse of a horse-sized mujina.
