I think my biggest problem right now is that the way Sabine’s story progressed and ended made enough sense for Ahsoka Sabine, but feels deeply unfitting for Rebels Sabine, not in a “she’s changed and grown since then” way but in a “this is a different character” way, and I think a lot of that is centered on the decision to make her a jedi.
From her first appearance in Rebels, Sabine is competent, strong-willed, and determined to fight for what she believes is right. As we go through the show, we learn more about where that came from. It’s pretty clear that she considers the Ghost crew family, and that she found new hope and meaning in working with them, as well as that her Mandalorian heritage is a huge part of how she was shaped into the person she is. Furthermore, we see that she’s driven by the need to make amends for her past mistakes, to protect her loved ones where she previously helped put them in danger, albeit without intending to.
When Kanan trains Sabine with the Darksaber, we see that it doesn’t work well for her to train exactly like a Jedi, because she’s not using the saber as a Jedi, she’s using it as a Mandalorian. It is another weapon in her arsenal and, more importantly, a symbol that she can use to help bring her people together—and she uses it to do so.
Sabine’s arc is so cool and so special to me because her path as both a character and a member of the rebellion are just as important as Ezra’s: she is given depth and interests, and the fact that she isn’t a Jedi doesn’t make them worth any less.
A prime example of this is Sabine’s art. It’s a BIG part of her self-expression throughout Rebels. It’s a connection with her family, a way to express herself and commemorate moments, and—in the most Mandalorian move possible—a weapon she uses against the enemy, both symbolically via the symbol of the Rebellion and literally, through the use of explosive spray paint. And sometimes this is played as a joke (think Sabjne painting the bunk crash on Zeb and Ezra’s wall) but it also legitimately comes into play (think Sabine interpreting the mural entrance to the world between worlds or Thrawn commenting on her art).
Rebels Sabine brings so much to the table, and there was so much in her character that could have been explored without making her a Jedi. Not everyone is a Jedi, and it’s good to remember that even heroes can be normal people who stepped up.

So Ezra grew up on Lothal without any kind of guidance in the Force. He didn’t know why he knew things, what places were safe to sleep, what people wouldn’t hurt him, who would hurt him and how to get away. It was just a part of him.
The way I picture it, you’ve got Kanan, taught and raised with the Force as a part of life. Talked about and studies with philosophy and debate and scholars from across the galaxy.
Then you’ve got Ezra. Who knows the Force in the way we know hearing or smell or touch. It is. Is always has. It’s just there.
so when Kanan talks about mantras with really vague wording and how to properly channel the Force into you, Ezra has gut instinct.
You know that trope where there’s a magical student or scholar that’s learned from a textbook and from teachers in academia, that can quote lists of texts and proverbs from memory, with potions that have to be just so; and the person who knows street magic, the mundane things like how to heat up clothes and blankets, to keep food for longer, that’s taught through seeing and experiencing but is never replicated one to one, where it’s more feeling and intent than rigid structure.
So Kanan would probably have to think of different ways to describe the Force and learn how Ezra talked about.

The Ties that Bind Us
Hey remember that fic I’ve mentioned a few times? The one about Ahsoka and the 501st that’s over 50k words already? I finally posted it!
-
When Ahsoka Tano had joined the 501st battalion, she had made an effort to keep herself at a distance from her men, she was their commanding officer after all. However she finds her self drawing closer and closer to a certain group that also finds themselves being drawn to her. Their resulting bond changes nothing, and everything. Can it change the universe?

I have this bad habit of applying chakra-based abilities to force wielders because apparently the two are the same in my mind. This means that I have to constantly re-write a scene because no, they can’t just stand on the wall. That’s not how the force WORKS Alternatively, I get scenes where obi-wan (standing normally) is talking to anakin (standing on a wall) and either Rex or Cody (who have never seen such a spectacle before) come in and do a double-take because what the fuck

Because I have just seen this specific thing for the second time, I would like to say:
If I reblog your art, I do not expect you to reblog (or share!) my fic in return
If I comment on your fic, I do not expect you to comment on (or read!) mine in return
My enjoyment of anyone's work does not come with strings or expectations
My friendship is not a bill that you will have to pay later
That's it!

you see price sitting like this when you walk into a room post mission- and you know exactly what it is he needs.
he's licking at you and holding your thighs open with his rough palms- and you can't take it. his calluses and his beard and the fabric of his sleeves are rubbing at your legs just right- but not enough for you to lose focus on his hot tongue rubbing on you and in you and you've never been wetter in your LIFE.
his only problem? you're still moving too much. he can't reach where he wants to inside of you because you keep wiggling out of his way. his hands want to touch you everywhere- not just hold your thighs still. this is when he begins to squeeze at you everywhere, and tell you to rest your thighs on his shoulders.
"b-but price- hhnngh ohmygod- i c-can't. they're too big. thighs are too big"
you whine at the loss of contact, but then you look down and see him staring at you with massive pupils and a wet face. "lovie- my shoulders are broad for a reason. rest your thighs on em and i swear they'll have enough room"
and you listen, and you're crushing his ears with your thighs, and he's never been happier. the next time you look down? he's rutting into the mattress and you see his hips stutter when he groans into you and your vision goes white
(@chamomiletealeaf and i had SUCH A HORNY discussion about this and she told me to post it so here i am- and also omg photo creds to her. we've gotta reign it in lmfao)
