#still thinkin' about that motherfucker Cormac from the Thieves Guild #and how he lives rent free in Ariadne's brain #and therefore my brain #and how i have to deal with the fact that she wouldn't think about #that as much as she's plagued with conflicting feelings about this motherfucker #i honestly don't think that there's much reason that she would've made as much of an impact on him as he has on her #and it's driving me insane #like he got under her skin instantly because the first time they met she had just used her inspiration point only to roll two nat 1s #trying to get a crowd to disperse before things got rough #and this motherfucker sweeps in and does what she couldn't while also kind of shitting on the temple #which she couldn't even really argue because he wasn't really wrong but also this is the thing that makes up her identity #and she was fuckin' pissed #i mean we did also get sent to make a deal with him to keep the city chill while rise of the zombies was dealt with in the high district #so she #the temple's Brand Newest Paladin in full fuckin' armor gets sent into the den of the Thieves Guild #to talk with the guy who's been pretty openly (and frankly fairly) dunking on said temple #and we come out of it having to do a favor for him to get his help #and as much as she'd love to cover it with 'well we're really doing it because the prince wants us to and it's for the good of the city'#the fact that at the end of the day they were doing something on this motherfucker's orders was such a bur under her saddle #i think he got the party drinks while we were talking with him but ariadne didn't touch hers #because A) she's pretty sure someone would've spit in it and B) fuck u cormac fuck ur hospitality and fuck u #ANYWAY #all this happened over a year ago irl (not sure how long in-game) and YET #there's also the problem that our sessions have been shorter and more sporadic #which gives me more time between sessions to obsess over stupid shit #like a NPC who we haven't seen in a fuckin' year

Talking a little bit about 'boycotting Eurovision' under Keep Reading, feel free to scroll down if is not what you want to see.

The most used argument on the matter of banning Israel from Eurovision is the fact that Russia got banned from Eurovision, which is the worst argument anyone could bring.

Kindly reminder that Russia didn't get banned because of the war with Ukraine. Russia got banned because many countries has threatened to withdraw from the competition. Sadly, that's a big difference.

Yes, the countries has threatened to withdraw because they support Ukraine and see Russia as the party in the wrong. That was their reason. EBU's reason for banning Russian was because those countries threatened to withdraw, not because the war was bad and Russia must be stopped.

This situation isn't the same. Why? Because many countries support Israel in their genocide. Because this time around Palestine is the party in the wrong. Because we're taught to believe that Israel isn't in the wrong here.**

Boycotting Eurovision won't work. There are people out there who don't know the truth and want to watch Eurovision. There are people out there who don't care and will watch Eurovision regardless of the situation. There are people out there who, despite having the facts, still don't see Israel as the bad guy in this situation and will watch Eurovision. Sadly, boycotting won't work unless everyone does it.

The only way Israel will get banned, in my opinion, is by going through the same thing as Russia. If other countries threatened to withdraw- and not any countries, but the ones investing the most in Eurovision, then yes. That will get Israel banned.

Otherwise? The only thing we do is hurt artists that don't deserve it. Artists who use Eurovision as a way to get more exposure and experience. Artists who deserve to be heard.

Don't vote for Israel's entry. Don't stream their song either. Heck, turn off the TV when is their turn to perform.

**This whole situation (the war, not Eurovision) isn't only black and white. Civilians die daily because of this, all of them from both sides. Innocent people who has no fault. Let's not forget that

honestly i think one of my favorite things about reading artemis fowl as an adult is that it has found family relationships that you can't categorize neatly into traditional familial roles.

like, yeah, there are varying degrees of it-- you can pretty straightforwardly say that root is a father figure to holly, and artemis and juliet have definite sibling vibes even if they're not quite aware of it and it's complicated by the fact that he's her boss.

and then there's butler and artemis and it's like. they're brothers, they're a father-son duo, butler is artemis' only friend for years. artemis in charge because butler works for him, butler's in charge because artemis is a child. it's butler's job to die for artemis. artemis would do anything to save butler's life. neither of them explicitly express affection except in the smallest of ways.

AND DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED on artemis and holly. there is no existing familial relationship, or combination of relationships that could even come close to encapsulating everything they mean to each other and everything their friendship encompasses and THAT'S the beauty of found family.

you can have relationships that shift and change over time and that resist neat categorization while still being able to clearly hold them up as important and meaningful and say "this person is family".

She'd grow up a happy normal "one of the gang" kids of the Endless Heirs, though she would have an interest in the magical side of their family, I kinda like the idea of her becoming an apprentice to Joanna Constantine, all enthusiastic to Joanna's grumpiness x)

And of course Eulalie would have to play a part, so here's a doodle of her as a young cambion with her parents

So yeah, still very earlier stages but definitely want to try and do a sequal sometime soon...

#changed my screen protector bc it was cracked in a couple points and I hadn't changed it for three years #and i thought the purple/bluish specks on the screens were due to air bubbles #but they're still here after I changed it so 🥲🥲🥲#honestly they don't bother me but 🥲 i need to be extra careful now i want my phone to last for at least two more years #since i don't think replacing the screen would be much doable due to my phone being a chinese brand only sold online (+ id have to ask my #brother to do it for me)
