fandom tumblr was another casualty of streaming services. we used to be on here posting about the episodes that were coming out weekly and posting gifs and writing insane shit about the tv shows we liked. now a new season of a show will drop and we’ll talk about it for a week. two weeks tops. and then that show will leave collectively conscious for 1+ year till the next season drops. there’s a reason succession sundays was a blast on here

It's always "why do you have a bunch of watch chains clipped into your face?", "what's with the guy with metal through his face?", "Edward what's that embedded in your skin what happened here??" And never "how are the new facial piercings are you enjoying the new piercings?"

📙 What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun? She has a GREAT love for literature and art probably more than anything else. She would happily discuss the philosophical implications of themes and narrative for hours on end with anyone willing to listen. She loves going to a good Art Gallery, and seeing a good play, or opera. But that's not to say that her tastes are restricted specifically to that of high brow entertainment. She'd find just as much worthy critical rigor in a brothel as she would the london opera house. If her travels have taught her anything it's that art not only has the capacity to mimick the world but also inform one's perception of the world around them- whatever form it takes. And she never ceases to find amusement in it. She especially loves a good dirty limerick.

💛 In general, how in control of their emotions is your OC? Do they have a good hold on them or do their emotions control them, not the other way around? What do you think is the reason behind this and is your OC ever concerned about their lack of or good control? ooooh that's tricky. In a lot of ways I do think she has a great capacity to control her emotions, and does so a lot of the time without difficulty as something she has had to do in order to stay sane through much of her life, but even for her there are some situations in which that can be much more difficult for her to maintain, and certainly I think over the course of her narrative she becomes more comfortable in not controlling it more and more- and to that end even using it to help her survive in order to match the situations that she's met with. In a lot of ways, her actively eschewing control in favor of speaking her mind and do things that she probably shouldn't really benefits her in the long run.

💖 Has your OC ever been in love, be it romantic or platonic or otherwise? Who with and did they ever express their feelings or keep it private? How long did these feelings persist / do they still feel this way? Oh man... Lady Terror's relationship with love has always been complicated. She's been courted a couple of times, but always felt the practice unsavory and disingenuous (considering that they would gain inheritance of her father's business capital, and also by extension her mother's good social standing... she never really fell under the illusion that any of them were there for her and not for what they could profit from marrying her, which made her reject all of them). Other than of course, Francis... she did have some feelings once for a young Edgar Allan Poe, especially in their childhoods, but nothing ever much came of it due to his return to America and subsequent marriage to Virginia Clemm (who also took some great interest in Lady Terror at one time).

😊 What can make your OC smile even when they’re feeling down? What cheers them up and makes everything feel better for them? Is your OC genrally a happy person and do they enjoy making others smile? What about your OC makes others happy? Honestly, any good joke (but especially a dirty one) will never fail to make her laugh (and this is why she and Blanky are besties tbh. He is the only person who understands this and is chill enough to say this kind of shit with a woman). In general though I would say that Lady Terror is generally an actively happy person as like. A necessity for her own mental health (in the like... Everything Everywhere All At Once "it's strategic and necessary" kind of way), but also there are a lot of times she feels she can't truly show this side of herself because she's wary of others and how they might react if she's a little too outlandish for their tastes, and as a result her circle of true friends is few, but full of good humor at the very least. And honestly, she lives to make Francis laugh. And she's frightfully good at doing it too, in spite of not sharing the same rapport that he has with Mr. Blanky. And Francis sharing their sense of wit does appreciate having another person to cordially converse with. It makes him in an odd way feel just a little less alone.
