The way Aziraphale leaves is so heartbreaking because it is so in character for him. This is the angel that will only go against Heaven to a certain extent, never leaving though. Unlike Crowley who (even gave up the position of power of being a Duke) was happy to leave it all away, the idea that Heaven is always good despite everything is so ingrained into him. Even Gabriel didn't denounce Heaven just said he found something better, the key difference is Gabriel has always been in a position of power. Unlike Aziraphale, leaving Heaven would be an "institutional problem".

Aziraphale has always chosen Heaven, always choose good and even when Crowley is on the line he will find a way to make it Crowley and Heaven come out on top. Some have already pointed out and I agree, this is reminiscent of a the rebellious child from a toxic home/religious traumatic background.

Not to mention The Metatron appealed to Aziraphale's better side. Brought him a coffee and told him he also ingested things, something Shax had just mocked Aziraphale for. He pretty much bombed him with compliments and reassured him of his leadership status, something Aziraphale has been cautious about since Eden. He dangles what Aziraphale wants, to go to Heaven. To be GOOD again. But Aziraphale has been on Earth for so long, surely there is something to make him stay? I mean he lied to God, the archangels and is regarded as a traitor what could make him really want to go? Crowley. If Metatron can guarantee that Crowley will be there too Aziraphale will surely go and he does.

Yes these two are in love and like Nina said, they don't talk. THAT is their downfall. Crowley never told Aziraphale everything. As @baggvinshield put it in their post, Aziraphale has no reason to believe none of this won't work out.

Listen, I just feel like having one (1) incoming ice age would have been conflict enough for Game of Thrones. You can have all the mounting time pressure, the survival challenges, the snow imagery, the incredulous masses, yadda yadda yadda, and you don't have to address the EXTREMELY WILD biological and societal implications of having unpredictably sized seasons.

I mean. Not that he did address the wild implications. As far as I know. Which again, begs the question of why put it in the text, if it's never gonna influence anything?

I think the thing I'm most irritated about this season with the firefam dynamics shake up is that it isn't actually GIVING us any depth to anything or any new information on the characters so it just comes off as comic relief (Eddie and Chim) or weirdly off (Hen and Buck).

Like, Eddie and Chim have some real similar traumas this new on-screen friendship could be exploring and we're getting NOTHING out of it. We could get Chim being frustrated about something while he and Maddie are trying to work things out (instead of just brushing past it and pretending things are fine) and Eddie being someone who understands that unique situation and them having a heart-to-heart about it, which would give us a reason for suddenly seeing this pairing more, because that discussion COULDN'T happen with anyone else.

Same with Buck and Hen. I have always loved their friendship and have wanted to see more of it IN ADDITION to the other dynamics we know and love. And the talk about Lev made perfect sense to be with her since she was acting Captain, she made the call, and he looks up to and respects her because she "always has the answers". The initial sperm donor talk made sense too because her and karen have seen the other side of that and he's clearly worried what Eddie, Bobby, and Maddie will say about it. But him tagging along with Hen but NONE of the rest of their crew who had kids that would all clearly enjoy the ren fair are around was a reach, especially because he's not really having scenes with anyone else! If he had gone to the dance with Eddie, or helped with Chris trying on the suit, or called Eddie about Jee, or had a heart-to-heart with Bobby or Eddie when they found out about the sperm donor arc, it wouldn't have been so noticeable but the fact that he's not getting scenes about anything going on with him with anyone but Hen is WEIRD. It doesn't track with 5 previous seasons of this show and we aren't being given a reason WHY.

If these new dynamics we have been asking for had some depth to them, and were giving us either a) conversation that could ONLY happen between those two, or b) an ON SCREEN stated reason why the person can't/doesn't want to have the conversion with the person they normally would, and were used in ADDITION to them having scenes with people they typically have scenes with, I would be absolutely OVER THE MOON happy. We NEED to see more of the firefam intetacting in different configurations and showing us the depth to all these individual friendships. But they cannot come at the cost of abandoning every other dynamic, especially without telling the audience why it's happening, like Chim and Eddie needing to talk to someone with a similar experience or Buck clearly stating he's avoiding talking to Eddie or Bobby or Maddie for some reason.

Who the fuck okayed that, why was all this character development over the whole season thrown out for a cheap drama and why ED was the only one who was allowed to care and grieve when it was only him completely avoiding any consequences of his actions. Ed is the only one who benefits from Izzy being gone and who the fuck cares, I’m not saying hurt him like he hurt everybody but for fuck’s sake why does Ed get to keep the family that Izzy built and protected and fought for root and nail.

This is such a good question because for a metropolitan area that is absolutely dripping with sports teams and social media admins who are up in each other's grill constantly, we truly do not have that many juicy inter-team pairings. like obviously you are a scholar who has opened the minds and hearts of hundreds to the truth of Tony Kemp/Mike Yastrzemski and that one is elite. And why are the San Jose Barracuda and San Jose Giants' cursed fucking mascots always acting out with each other. BUT I think my favorite might be Buster Posey/Steph Curry for the NARRATIVE PARALLELS bc u know I love a parallel. drafted to shit tier teams! dragged them to greatness! the fall from grace and then the return! and they are both so cute in such an American way! idk if you read that Tim Kawakami dream diary piece on the two of them a couple years back in the Athletic but it literally rewired my brain. Like I had a legit mental breakdown reading it.

the parallels have become less powerful with Buster Posey retiring, but I literally dream every day of a urban fantasy fic where they are arranged married at draft bc the Bay Area faultlines are held together by ARRANGED MARRIAGE and SPORTS MAGIC and they have to right the sinking ships of their teams to stop the Bay Area from being destroyed from an earthquake (just roll with it) and along the way kind of grow into love and grow into companionship. This is ambitious bc your team is in hell and my players are in hell and while I am starting to feel hope that the Vegas deal falls through I am NOT feeling hopeful about my hockey blorbos' chances of success in the Sharks franchise now or like ever... but basically I want Nick Cicek of A's Hat Wearing Fame to fall in tender love with an A's player (unsure who, I need to familiarize myself better with your boys) and for both of them to either spend their careers in the Bay Area forever OR for both of them to absolutely firework for a season and then they both get traded and all I am left with are memories and my tears, as is typical of a sharks fan.

This is also very ambitious bc hockey and baseball is a hard crossover event since their seasons don't overlap and most North American hockey players somehow all end up in either Michigan or Toronto to train during the offseason so why would Nick be in the Bay Area during the offseason?? How would they meet?? But I dream of him being an A's wag and riding the Bart in anonymity to see his boyf 🥲 Need another public transit romance. Chain and the blind child end up portal in to a beach and it's hot day out so time allow the group to have fun, which the boys are happy to do and wild the first to put down his stuff and go to the water then wind,hyrule next to go as blind help the other set up a spot then hear them go so blind try to walk to were they hear the waves but they get picked up by twilight.

Twilight: were are you going blind?

Blind: it feel the waves.

Twilight: can you swim blind?

Twilight chuckle as warrior arrived and chuckle too to heard the conversation.

Warrior: how you forgot blind?

Blind was going to speak but a sound of wave coming and splash the three and twilight, warrior chock but the two see that blind isn't in twilight hands and panic but blind cough and rub the sand water off their face as wind see them in the water and help them out though trying not to laugh cause the blind have a starfish on their hair.

Wind: let's help you on swimming first blind.

Hyrule watches nervously from the the shore line. "Are they going to be ok?"
