~Storytime With Barbz~
❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
So, I’ve been trying to raise my new son Itto after almost a YEAR of having Ayaka as my main DPS. I love her so much, but obviously I want to have fun and experiment with new characters and teams! But, lemme tell you-in my humble F2P opinion, she is BUFF. (Btw if you’ve got Venti and Ayaka, THEY LITERALLY WORK SO WELL TOGETHER ITS INSANE) anywho, like I said, she’s buff.
Apparently so buff enough that she can haunt my dreams?
MISS GIRL WAS TRYING TO BABY TRAP ME IDK HOW WHO WHAT WHERE WHEN WHY HOW LIKE MISS GWORL
Seriously. You may say she’s pixels on a screen, but I beg to differ. She knows that she’s not going to be the 100% center of attention anymore and she will not have it. Miss mam is 💫Jealous✨

The Most Popular Yaksha in Teyvat part 1
So uhh Hi! I’m alive! And c*vid positive, f my life. So I rewrote the first part of that Xiao fic I tried to post but got deleted a while ago. Enjoy Xiao fans
Dream a Dream isn’t cancelled I’m just a little stuck.
Your Grace Darling is supposed to be neutral gender as usual, but if I slipped somewhere and used female pronounce just send me an ask or something and I’ll fix it as soon as I can.
"Your grace, if I may ask... Which of the nations is your favorite one?", Lumine asked you during one of your adventures together. Accompanied by Fischl, Kokomi and Keqing, you had stopped for a quick meal in an abandoned camp after a walk through Watatsumi island. You wanted to collect some pearls, and everyone was eager to go with you. "Hm...", you placed your finger to your chin in thought: "it's gotta be Liyue!" You smiled to yourself, unaware of how Ayaka and Barbara slightly wilted, while Keqing straightened up proudly. "Hm, true, we finish almost every adventure by returning to Wangshu inn.", Lumine hummed to herself, and Keqing, eager to chase the topic, inquired curiously: "What is it that you prefer about our Liyue, your grace? Is it the culture? The food? Our archon?" "Xiao's there!", you answer with no hesitation, causing Keqing to choke on air.
“Adeptus Xiao? Just because of him?”
"Well, I love all the nations I’ve visited with Lumine really. They’re all amazing and have their good points. But Xiao's my favorite! So I've come to like Xiao's home the most by association." "Hey, Paimon thought Paimon was your favourite!", Paimon's indignant squeak interrupted the conversation. "Of course, Paimon is my favorite travel guide companion! And my favorite emergency food!", you pulled the fairy into your arms and hugged her with a giggle ignoring her squawk of offense, oblivious to the calculating stares three of your companions were wearing.
And so, by the end of the week, everyone in Teyvat knew of your favoritism.
Everyone but the person of your affection, that is.
Tumblr media
It started off on a quiet morning, when Xiao left the inn to hear a familiar and soothing melody echoing through the marsh. He followed the sound slowly, until he saw the familiar form of a bard clad in green, a flute in his hands playing the song that was so familiar, from so long ago.
Xiao leaned against a tree and closed his eyes, letting the melody wash over him, feeling the wraiths  that haunt him quiet down. He stayed like that, unmoving, until the melody slowly finished.
With a soft exhale, grateful for the reprieve from his burden, Xiao opened his eyes, ready to continue his duties, only to flinch back at the bard’s face only a few centimeters from his.
“Hi Xiao, did you like my song?”, the bard, Venti, exclaimed excitedly, and Xiao wondered just how relaxed he has gotten to not even notice the other’s approach.
“Ah, Venti… Yes.”, he tried to subtly maneuver himself away from the excitable bard: “What are you doing in Liyue?”
“Well, you see, a little birdie told me that I had an extremely loyal fan here at Liyue, so I hurried over to give my thanks in a little private concert.”, Venti winked at him, seemingly unbothered by Xiao’s lack of shown enthusiasm.
“… Okay. If you’re done, I’m gonna go-” “Wait wait wait-”
Xiao’s attempt at an exit was interrupted by the bard grabbing a hold of his sleeve.
“I didn’t come here just to play you a song you know, I’ve come here to talk!”
“About what?”, the yaksha frowned. Venti didn’t normally come to Liyue like this, unless accompanying Lumine and her adventure team, led by their grace’s hand. Or, their grace themselves, these days.
“I wanna know, how do you feel about Mondstadt?”, Venti smiled as Xiao’s frown deepened.
“It’s… alright, I guess? Why?”, Xiao’s only seen Mondstadt while accompanying Lumine on her commissions, and that was more of the outskirts fighting hilichurls than being inside the city: “Is there a problem in Mondstadt?”
“No, no, nothing like that”, Venti waved his hand in front of his hand: “I’ve simply been wondering recently, you see? I think you and me are pretty good friends-“ “We are?” “-and any good friend would want to check up on their friend after such sad situation.”
“What situation?”, Xiao could not figure out Venti’s motives at all.
“You know, Morax’s pretend death, Rite of Parting.”, the bard waved his free hand around.
“Venti that was almost a year ago.”
“Ehe. Yes, yes, so sad, so sudden, I just had to check up on you.”
Xiao shifted his from one foot to the other, completely took off guard by the small chit chat. “Well, you’ve seen me. So..”
“How would you like to come to Mondstadt to a vacation?”, Venti blurted out suddenly.
“Vacation?”, Xiao blinked in confusion: “Adepti don’t take vacations. You should know that.”
“Exactly, you haven’t taken a vacation in over 2 000 years! And now that that Blockhead abolished his old contracts-” “Don’t insult Rex Lapis.” “- you can take your first vacation in forever! And your old buddy pal Venti here is giving you the exclusive anemo archon invite to visit Mondstadt!”
Venti tried to throw his arm around Xiao’s shoulder, but the yaksha sidestepped it trying to keep some distance: “I don’t like crowded places.”
“Oh come on, give it a try!”, if it was anyone else, Xiao would say Venti’s voice turned whiny: “I’ll even add a super special Venti’s music lessons to the offer. Their Grace told me you play the flute too? I’ll teach you the song I was playing, and any other song you desire!”
That got Xiao’s attention: “You’d do that?”
Venti perked up again at the slightest hint of interest in Xiao’s voice:“Why of course, anything for my bestest buddy Xiao.” “Are we really friends?” “Of course we are, we fought together alongside Lumine, led by Their Grace’s hand. Bonds forged in battle aren’t broken that easily.”
“Oh, that makes sense.”, Xiao nods, even if nothing makes sense: “I’ll think about it, then.”
“Oh will you? That’s great! I’ll be awaiting your arrival eagerly! I’ll prepare a song right away!” “Wait, I didn’t say I was-“ “Bye Xiao! See you in Mondstadt!” “-coming…”, Venti dissipated into the air before Xiao could even finish his sentence.
Well. That was a very weird start of the day.
Tumblr media
By the time he arrived to Guili to start his patrol Xiao had almost forgotten about Venti’s weird appearance.
Gliding from above he was about to start moving towards Jueyun Karst, when from the corner of his eye he spotted a familiar pink person waving him down.
Frowning in suspicion, he obliged and plunged down next to the person who, to his reluctant respect, didn’t even flinch.
“Sangonomiya Kokomi. Why are you in Liyue?”, Venti he could excuse, Mondstadt was close enough to Liyue, but Inazuma…
“Greetings Adeptus Xiao. It feels like it has been a while since we last shared the battlefield together.”, Kokomi simply smiled at him, a gesture Xiao didn’t return.
“If you tell me your reason for stopping me was something as silly as missing me, you can return to Inazuma right away.”
“Of course not, we are both too busy to let ourselves be led by our emotions, wouldn’t you agree? I have actually asked Captain Beidou to take me to Liyue as a personal favour.”, Kokomi continued speaking serenely, seemingly unaffected by Xiao’s tone. Well, they have been on a team multiple times, so she must have gotten used to it.
Their Grace made sure at least two healers were always supporting Xiao. It was probably an overkill in his opinion.
“And what does your trip have to do with me?” “I was hoping to accompany you on your patrol, as a way to learn more about the fighting tactics of the honored adepti, that could be used to improve my own battle tactic skills.”
“No”, Xiao said instantly:“I don’t have time for babysitting mortals.”
“I see, that is a shame.”, Kokomi placed a hand on her cheek, a worried expression on her face:”And I have specifically been told by Their Grace to look for you if I wanted to improve, you have certainly been the most praised by Them. Alas, I’ll have to tell them I was refused quite instantly.”
“…”
“…”
“Don’t fall behind, I don’t wait for anyone.”, Xiao turned his back to Kokomi with a scoff, not seeing her punch the air in victory, before taking a profesional pose once again.
“But of course, a pleasure to work with you again, Adeptus Xiao.”

🐚 ┆ in which you and thoma finally get to visit the hot springs he’s been longing for.
Tumblr media
cw┆suggestive content, so minors dni! not explicit, but still mature. just… very steamy (no pun intended) gender neutral reader.
happy 500, here’s some borderline filth ;)
Tumblr media
“Remind me… was it to the left of the sakura tree on the hill or the right?” you ask, positioning the plane of your hand along your browbone to ward off the rays of the setting sun.
Thoma catches up behind you, and you can’t help but notice the sheen of sweat along his forehead from the hike. “To the right,” he confirms with a breathless huff.
“Thanks,” you say, “As excited as I am to visit these hot springs, you could’ve stood to mention that they were in the middle of nowhere. I feel like I’ve been walking for years.”
The young man barks out a chuckle. “The good hot springs aren’t gonna be in the middle of Inazuma City, y’know,” he replies, resuming the trek, “It’s the ones that are situated just above volcanic openings deep in the earth that are the best.”
“Blah,” you pretend-gag, “I was expecting a nice sunset hot springs session with my boyfriend, not a marathon hike and a science lesson.”
This once again earns a laugh from Thoma. “Yikes, okay!” he surrenders, “If you must know, I usually come here after training to ease muscle tension, so it does indeed exist and it is indeed the real deal.”
You have to snap yourself out of the heat rising to your cheeks at that revelation. Thoma shedding his clothes and wading into a steaming pool, tilting his head back so the skin of his neck accentuates his adam’s apple, a deep sigh of pleasure escaping his lips as the water eases his tension… Your mind can’t help but swim with these perverted thoughts.
What else could he be getting up to while immersed in steaming water where there isn’t a trace of civilization for miles…?
No, no, snap out of it. You haven’t so much as kissed him and now you’re dreaming up filthy fantasies that would no doubt send him packing if he could read your mind. In this moment, you thank the archons that Thoma is hiking behind you, because if he could see the embarrassed expression across your face, you’d never hear the end of it.
It’s not that Thoma was particularly prudish. In fact, Ayato and Ayaka’s constant well-meaning teasings of when he’s going to make a move would suggest otherwise. Of course, the sinking feeling that his past partners were further along at this point in time than you would come back to haunt you every now and then. Perhaps you can blame the stress of the Vision Hunt Decree for the slow start of your partnership.
Beginning a relationship during Thoma’s hiding wasn’t all that easy, either. It began with a couple of jokes and smiles as you, a server at the Komore Teahouse and closeted critic of the Shogun, would bring the fugitive leftover tea and cakes. Soon after, he’d grasp your hand before you left and ask you to keep him company for a bit. You understood well enough the immense stress and loneliness he was under. Usually, you babbling about a crabby customer or a mishap with Taroumarou over a steaming cup of jasmine tea would be enough for Thoma to fall asleep on your shoulder with a faint smile pulling at his lips. He just wanted company, you figured, and you were more than willing to do that for him.
In return, Thoma would tell you stories during the slower hours of business and late at night when you were packing shipments. He was from Mondstadt, he revealed quite early. It’s not that this was all that much of a shock. He certainly looked different than his usual companions and his happy-go-lucky attitude rivaled only that of a Mondstadtian bard drunk on dandelion wine, song, and company. Despite your goading him towards a more in-depth backstory, the young man only gave you a smile and promised that if you kept coming back, one day you’d get your answer.
He mentioned that he was notably fond of the Inazuma landscape. Mentioned, actually, doesn’t quite cut it. He sighed his praises of the falling sakura petals in the springtime, the rush of the water tumbling down the cragged peaks of Watatsumi... But most of all, he playfully whined about some particular hot spring somewhere in the hills of Mount Yougou. Thoma swore up and down that this pool was the product of paradise, and that one day, if - no, when - he gets out, he’d take you there.
Now, just a matter of days after his liberation, you find yourself standing at his side overlooking a softly bubbling spring with cherry blossom petals laying idle atop the surface.
“Worth the work, huh?” Thoma asks, placing his hands on his hips.
You blink, taken aback by the view. “Your stories of this spot certainly match the actual thing.”
The young man laces his hand, calloused and chiseled from his years of work and training, into your own, giving a squeeze.
“What are you waiting for?” he prompts, shooting you a smile of what is no doubt glee, “There’s enough space for two.”
With that, he nonchalantly begins to discard his clothes, shrugging off his jacket and curling his fingers under the hem of his tight shirt. He glances over at you, noticing you’ve gone still.
“Is... something the matter?”
Of course, something’s the matter, you think, your blood rushing to your head and drumming against the confines of your skull, I didn’t quite expect you to begin stripping as if it’s second nature.
“I just...” you find yourself at a loss for words, “Just waiting a sec.”
Thoma is no idiot, that’s for certain. The now half-naked man in front of you cocks an eyebrow and folds his unused clothes with the utmost care. “[Y/N], I’ve never seen you flustered,” he teases, watching you go tense, “What, did you expect me to bathe fully clothed?”
That there is the icing on the cake for your embarrassment. You quickly recoil and your mouth opens to interject. Your words are cut off by his familiar hearty chuckle.
“[Y/N]!” he play-scolds, unbuttoning his pants, “I didn’t take you for a pervert! I assumed we’d be bathing in our undergarments. ‘Course, if you had a different idea, I encourage you to use your words.”
You shake your head, trying to steady your heart from your startled reaction. “Oh, duh,” you laugh, your fingers finding the ribbon fastening your robe, “And, ah, for the record, I wasn’t thinking anything dirty. Promise.”
Thoma shakes his head, pulling the pants from his ankles. “I wouldn’t mind if you had been.”
You shrug off your robe and place the garment in Thoma’s extended hand, who folds it and places it on the rock next to his own pieces. Now you two stand in your underwear, looking as if you were a couple uprooted from your own intimate world.
The blond is a sight to behold in his near-nude form. He’s athletic, of course you knew that much, but the way the evening sun lights his body illuminates the shadows of his toned muscles and brings a certain warm glow to the high points of his body. Your mind wanders to the thought of him practicing his fighting stances- the way his arm muscles expand and contract with each jab, how his face tightens with the motions, the ragged rise and fall of his bare chest once he’s satisfied with his work. In that moment, you could swear you were some artist in a past life, intent on studying his every form and filling pages upon pages with carefully-drawn sketches of your muse.
Thoma is the first to step into the springs, immediately sighing at the contact of the water against his skin. He quickly navigates himself to a small ledge and settles in, almost as if he’s done this a million times before. You follow suit, albeit wincing at the heat instead of rejoicing, and find a spot to sit just left of your boyfriend.
“This is what I’ve been needing,” he hums, closing his eyes and inhaling the natural steam wafting off of the bubbling pool.
You slowly begin to ease into the heat, the warm water enveloping your skin and nurturing any tension you had attained during your journey uphill. The sakura trees overhead sway gently in the cool breeze signaling the coming nightfall, the loose petals tumbling one by one into the clear waters. From your altitude, you can see the Inazuma coast far below, the waves crashing against the sugar sands and retracting, only to repeat and repeat this motion so long as the moon deems fit.
Thoma, however, is the most enchanting sight to behold.
His eyelids have fluttered shut in pleasure, bringing your attention to just how long and delicate his eyelashes are. Your gaze descends to his lips, pink, plush, and slightly parted, looking almost like a sleeping maiden from a folk tale. His posture is lax, almost similar to his state of sleep, yet his upper body rises and falls ever so slowly.
“I can feel you staring, [Y/N],” he murmurs, opening his left eye just enough to get a glimpse of you.
You shake your head. “I’m sorry to disturb you.”
“You’re not a disturbance,” he counters, sitting up with a sigh, “If anything, your presence makes this experience all the better.”
A feather of a smile crosses your lips. You bring your eyes to the view spread out for you two. “It’s beautiful, Thoma,” you say quietly, “Everything.”
He smiles to himself, his eyes trained on you as you once again look at him. “It’s truly rewarding to share something special to me with you and you appreciating it this much,” he states.
You sigh. “Thank you, Thoma.”
The young man laughs softly, and you note his chartreuse eyes haven't ceased their raking over your face and your form time and time again, almost as if trying to memorize the exact state you’re in.
“If you’d like, we could come here all the time,” he proposes, his line of sight meeting your lips, “Just you, me, and all of Inazuma at our fingertips. I could swipe some sake from the Kamisatos’ kitchen and we could get drunk and stare at the stars and exchange stories until daybreak. So long as you say the word, I’ll be there.”
“I’ve never expected you to be a poet,” you chuckle, noticing the closing gap between your bodies and the brush of his fingers against your bare thigh as they settle into place.
He drops his head and shakes it. “I didn’t either.”
The world falls silent except for the rustle of the flora and the gentle simmering of the water. You and your lover’s gaze has yet to diverge from one another.
Thoma’s fingers gently hitch themselves under the curve of your chin, raising your face to his with all the caution of a child building a house of cards.
“May I kiss you?” he whispers.
You don’t even bother to reply. You tilt your head and slot your lips against his own, feeling everything that’s been building over the last month fall into place in one swift motion.
His lips are softer than you expected. The kiss is innocent, fulfilling. You feel your hands slide over his shoulders, providing yourself some sort of leverage to draw you closer to him so that you can feel his bare skin against your own.
It doesn’t take long before his curiosity builds, prompting him to deepen the kiss with the addition of his tongue, strong yet gentle all at once, and longing sighs in the scattered moments that your lips are apart. His hands begin to wander, his left delicately placing itself along your chest and the right hand previously installed on your thigh beginning to faintly trail up to the junction between your legs, coaxing a gasp of bliss from your lips.
Your curiosity, too, quickly turns into a conquest of lust, and you find yourself deliriously moving yourself to straddle his lap, your hands planing down the muscular surface of his chest. Thoma draws his lips back from your own, the natural pink hue now turned nearly raspberry and glossed with a sheen of your saliva. His eyes, half-lidded yet with all the same liveliness you remember, peer up at you with a certain haze of lust swimming across the surface, adjusting to the sight of you mostly-naked atop his lap, drunk on his touch and caressing his bare chest with your hands.
He fixes his lips to the crook of your neck, littering tender kisses along the taut skin. You know well enough that you’ll awake to a field of plum-colored marks, but that thought is quickly set aside to fade as you bring down your pelvis to his  groin, drawing forward against his clothed crotch as you dig your fingers into his hair and shudder with pleasure.
Thank Celestia this place was in the middle of nowhere.
