Louise for the ask game:

My feelings: I love her so much! That scheming and blunt nature, grey morality, and deep care for her loved ones while struggling with emotional intimacy make her so interesting. Some of that has to do with her being a girl because it felt like I didn’t get to see mischievous or chaotic girls growing up like I get to see with Louise

Romantic ships: I ship her with Logan as an adult, and when she’s a teenager it’s “Babs canon” that Jessica is her first romantic partner. Althooughh I see the appeal of high school chloise

Non-romantic OTP: Struggling with the wording on this one, but I maintain that Tina and Gene are her true best friends from now until forever. I think they’re the first people she will call when she’s in trouble and the first people she will trust to tell anything about her life

Unpopular opinion: The sweet moments feel cheap back to back. You have to let her actually be flawed for the heartfelt moments to mean something. “Awww it really shows her character growth-” does it? Or is this an episodic sitcom and now a different team is in charge of her character?

One thing I wish had happened with this character: Remember when Louise called in a fake tip to the police so Linda didn’t get arrested? Or when she profited off Andy and Ollie in Art Crawl then suffered no consequences? I would have liked more of that before Disney bought Fox

1. within me, an invincible summer

this is my baby. this fic has embedded itself into my own heart bc i’ve poured some of myself into it and it’s been very cathartic to write - it’s very emotional (like me) bc billy is very emotional, and i’ve always seen post-S3 fics but none of them really focused on his healing journey from Starcourt and how he could’ve grown into a healthier version of himself if he had the right support system. i also love writing about developing relationships bc it’s fun lol to write the development of his relationships with both steve and max have been so rewarding bc i firmly believe that they are the people in his life that could make the most impact. this fic is about billy waking up a few weeks after Starcourt with a new heart in his chest and he realizes that he has to continue on with this life he’s been given but doesn’t want.

this fic is a WIP and is currently sitting at 60k with no end in sight so….take that as you will jfbfkf

2. summer bummer

i wrote this back in 2020 and it was inspired by the summer heat i felt when tanning in my backyard during quarantine! it’s about Steve returning to Hawkins after a small vacation with his parents and his boyfriend Billy is the only thing on his mind 😌this ficlet screams ‘summer’ to me and it’s hot and cute and it’s just a nice little thing to read 🥹

3. Season Of the (Love) Witch

i kinda stepped out of my comfort zone with this one (and wrote it on my phone during vacation lol it was hell)! it’s about Steve, who is desperate for love, and is so desperate that he’s turned to magic to get a lover. he has continuous run-ins with Billy throughout the fic and that’s all i’m gonna say hehe this was heavily inspired by the movie The Love Witch (which is visually gorgeous omg) and i like to think that i did fairly well w this one!!

4. happy holidays

this is a ficlet i wrote here on tumblr during christmas last year. i honestly just wrote it without much thought lol i let the characters do what they wanted to do! it’s about billy going to visit steve on christmas day and they realize that they both kinda hate the way their families celebrate the holiday so they promise each other that their christmases will be better. it’s fluffy and sweet and i still love it!!

5. Bitter

this is a ficlet i wrote for tumblr then moved to AO3 - it’s sorta harringrove, as billy has complicated feelings about steve, but its main focus is billy and will! i don’t ever write anything that includes the kids so this was fun to write, and it came about after realizing just how similar these two are and i wanted to see how they would’ve reacted to each other, especially with their unrequited feelings for a boy they like (maybe even love). it’s bittersweet at its core but the sweetness of how billy treats little will makes up for it!!

That it's good, even though it doesn't follow the manga plot? LMAO. I'm so used to everyone hating 03 but it seems like that's not the case as much anymore so I NEED to chill. Let's try again.

I've seen a LOT of "fma03 izumi is an abuser" rhetoric recently that I hate so much I'm struggling to even put it into words. 03Izumi has issues and is NOT a good role model (I don't think I'd call mangahood Izumi a good role model either), but I think she's a profoundly sad character, and it makes me so frustrated that no one is willing to give her an ounce of empathy/understanding like they would a male character who acts similarly or was in a similar situation to her. Or even how they view mangahood Izumi, who does a lot of the same things. I will elaborate more on this if asked but I'll stop myself here sjdgndjkgdngksd

💛: What is a popular ship you just can't get behind, and why?

Ohhh this one is hard for fma03 specifically... Ugh... Fine... I'll address it. The early-mid 2000s were big for Roy x Ed era due to the general attitude at the time about Yaoi. I personally disagree with the idea that FMA03 was "pandering" to ryed people any more than it was to the ryai people, like if you actually look at what happened in the anime, in CoS, in the promotional artwork. I don't like ryed because I don't like shipping a 15yo with a 30yo, and also for the fact that even more than in mangahood, Ed really does not like Roy.

--- Sam finishes his jog with a slow climb up the steps of the house he shares with Bucky. He pulls his sweatshirt off and lays it over his shoulder to adjust his tank top until it’s sitting low on his pecs.

The runner’s high is strong enough this morning to blot out any shame or embarrassment that might come from the outfit change. 

He’s got a good feeling about today.

After fussing with his basketball shorts, he swings open the door. At this point in his efforts, Sam knows there’s only a 50% chance Bucky is even awake and present enough to notice the fruits of these efforts, but at this point, he’s starting to get a little desperate.

Bucky is awake and at their kitchen table, though, slamming his laptop shut before Sam can see what’s on the screen. He stands in a rush, blocking the computer entirely.

Sam narrows his eyes in suspicion, and Bucky’s lips part to say something. He stops short to roam his gaze appreciatively over Sam’s body.

It kind of sucks that Sam then has to say, “what were you Googling this time?” 

He’d rather invite Bucky to finally do something about all the looking he’s been doing. Sam has been more than ready to upgrade their partners-in-everyway-but-one relationship. 

But then Bucky scowls and they settle into a comfortably familiar bickering. 

There’s always tomorrow.

What does Do'Shavir intend for the Companions going forward now that he's Harbinger?

Oooooo! That's a very good question. Do'Shavir isn't used to be being in a more . . . leadership position. He can lead himself, but he is a little more uncertain when it comes to leading and advising others. He's a lone Khajiit among Nords, which already makes him feel very out of place, but he's also a lot kinder. He's not fiery or the strongest member, which I'm sure caused him some issues at first--however, he's proven to be a very good ear, and very wise. He's the caution that the Companions need after so much revenge and bloodshed against the Silver Hand, and I think his kindness will be something he's praised for even long after he's gone. In other words, I believe he intends to rebuild their outlook on the world, if that makes sense. He wants them to keep their strong sense of honour, but to hone and temper it so they won't be so tempted to fall down the path of revenge and bloodshed again. And that there is no shame in putting down your sword and relaxing every now and then.
