ahh a billy request !! thabk you for sending this in, anon !! 💗 i've said it with pretty much every character this season, but i've missed billy !! he's an angel isn't he 😊 this is a bit of a short one, but i hope you enjoy anyway. also, I combined it with this other prompt I got as it seemed fitting !!

WARNING for mentions of mental illness and mild canon-typical suicidal ideation (on billy's part), but i promise this is mostly fluff.

billy bibbit (beach, ocean and sea shells)

The summer was slowly slipping away, with the starting to close in once more, while the lilac dust remained pleasant.

Before the true turn of the season, you and Billy made the most of the warm evening by going down to the shore.

The two of you could spend hours watching the sky turn from summer blue to autumn gold to twilight lilac. You lay, side by side, with the sand between your toes.

Billy liked looking out at the ocean too. The vast expanse of it as it stretched over the horizon. You think he could stare for hours, with some indescribable look in his eye.

"T-They used to wo-worry about mmme going near wa-wa-water."

The illusive "Them". Billy rarely spoke about Them anymore, but the strangest thing would remind him again and you'd told him, long ago, that he could let these thoughts out. If he spoke about it, you thought, it wouldn't build up and crush him from the inside.

You nod in response, tangling your fingers more firmly with his. Knowingly, you rub your wrist against his.

"B-But I haaave been out on the ocean, far enough th-that I c-c-couldn't see land an-anymore."

"Really?" You pause, looking out to the furthest point and try to make out the peak of the waves. "Was it scary?"

He considers this for a moment, eyes narrowing slightly. Then, "A-A little bit, I g-guess. But it fffelt good too."

You hum. Oftentimes. you know there isn't much you can say about Billy's past. It happened, there was nothing either of you could do except heal.

As you shift your feet in the sand, your toe pokes at something. One edge is sharp, but the underside is smooth.

Digging it out, you find the swirl of a seashell. The inside is hollow, the long abandoned home of a hermit crab.

I drew for you The Hermit, the 8 of Swords, and the Ace of Swords.

Dear IB, I would recommend you avoid any overtures at romance that come your way for the time being. The Hermit represents a need for solitude (in case the name didn’t give it away) and self-reflection. You need to step away from the maddening crowd and listen to the voice inside yourself. You’ll find wisdom and guidance coming from within.

The 8 of Swords indicates that there’s something making you feel trapped. You feel extreme pressure, and you long to escape. That escape route will show itself soon, but in the meantime it’s going to be a rocky road. I would definitely...be careful...about entering into any relationships right now. It might turn out to be something abusive that you’ll have a lot of trouble escaping from.

However! Don’t despair, dear IB. The Ace of Swords is a card of pure action. Whatever it is that’s causing (or will cause) you to feel trapped will find some release. All that pent-up energy will explode outward and not only will you be free, you’ll also be ready to start something new.

Tread carefully, IB. Right now I think your best bet is to look within, not without, for what you need. And remember that just because something (or someone) looks good, it doesn’t mean they are what they seem. But you’re strong, and as long as you stay clear-headed you’ll do great. :)
