APOLLO JUSTICE!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!! What i would literally give to have a true AA4 sequel. I wholeheartedly believe if Yamazaki's team could ignore aa4 canon to make 5 & 6 then Shu Takumi should absolutely be allowed to ignore any 5&6 canon to make an aa4 sequel. I'm dying out here pleaseeeeee

Summary:
I love this game so much. I love it so much that I am heartbroken knowing that AA 5 & 6 butchers the story it setup and I'm considering not even playing them unless AA7 is announced. I love all the main characters so much, the whole story was so well built and I can def see the influence the story had on DGS. Apollo is such a good protagonist, he's relatable but also so unique. I love seeing his character progression in the game: a new attorney who is easily manipulated to a confident and determined attorney who trusts in his own judgement. I LOVED Klavier oh my god. I love how much he respects Apollo and although he doesn't hesitate to tease him, he doesn't bully or abuse Apollo in any way. They both have a mutual admiration and rivalry where they try to play as fairly as possible. Klav doesn't maliciously withhold or change evidence, but he does spend hours reviewing his arsenal and thinks of all the counter arguments the defense could bring up. I really like Apollo's ability, it continues the mystery and mysticism from the original trilogy but with new mechanics. I adore Trucy so much. She honestly might be my favorite AA character. She's determined, strong willed, and above all -- extremely silly. I couldn't of asked for a better character to be Phoenix's daughter. I also LOVE the sibling reveal at the end but gdi if only they actually figure it out T^T T^T. I think Apollo and Trucy's dynamic is probably my favorite Defense and assistant dynamic. This who game was so fun, I know 4-3 is not everyone's favorite and it is a little all over the place but I also enjoyed it and loved the premise. There's so much to say, I haven't even talked about Nick and Kris - what an incredible feud, what a genius development for Nick. I cannot recommend this game enough, I am so obsessed with it and cannot wait to make art <3 <3.

Smol event update :v
Things got out of hand. Who tf let me cook?!
BUT! Because I'm around halfway done with the main thing... I decided to announce the thing in question and then see who is interested to be in the event itself. :3
So! I will hold a Dumbo-inspired circus event! :D
A certain date is not settled, so please keep in mind that this will not start until officially announced by me! :3
Our main star and ssr of the event is Sebek! :D
The gig of this event is that you get to enjoy a main story and you are open to participate with your yuusona/ocs or even other cannon twst cast.
So here comes the thing: I still need to finish the main story script. Unfortunately only the script is not my limit. (I'm fucking on a roll with this shit, I tell y'all)
But since we have a pseudo-event, we need personal stories.
So I'm open to an early collab to this event, regarding the personal stories!
This event has 4 cards: 1 ssr(Sebek), 2 SR and 1 R. The concept art for the cards is not solely dependent on the personal story, so there is sum creative liberty in there.
ALSO! BIG DISCLAIMER! This is NOT a zine, this is NOT payed work. All of this is absolutely voluntary work(with full credits given), so this is why I holded it more to myself, because at best, if this flops, I'm the one who takes the fall :'3
Also I apologise for the Sebek fans that got this popping on their fyp. This is his event so I guess you might enjoy it in the end. :'3

Femme Metale TF zine, Half-bundle //Review//
Big news! today’s morning I woke up to find a copy of Femme Metale a girls TF zine in my mail. Bought 2 months ago, this was my first piece of fan-made merchandise gotten from any fandom EVER, and Oh boy, I do not regret spending 60 bucks on this AT ALL.
Unfortunately I was only able to purchase the Arcee devotee Half bundle (mostly due to international ship fees, ughhh), which included the physical zine + some goodies such as stickers, pins, and a random charm <3
(keep reading after the cut <3)
PACKAGING
The package was pretty simple, everything was covered in a beautiful wrap paper with the faces of some gorgeous bots, like arcee, windblade, chromia and nautica (not sure if there were others </3)
To my disgrace, the paper was ripped at the sides, however, sealed with a beautiful sticker of Arcee saying “thank you”.
I wanted to keep the sticker, and since the paper was already ripped out I decided to just tear it apart (IM SORRY)
ZINE AND MINI POSTER
The zine was GORGEOUS, I was speechless when I got it out of the package. On the exterior it is very soft, the cover is matte and presents a beautiful piece of art made by “Darls Draws”; On the inside, the pages are glossy and feature TONS of art pieces and a couple of fanfictions. The quality of the book itself is overall very good, we’ll see how the pages’ glue behaves some time later...

Now. Blackarachnia’s foil print is .... simply AMAZING.
The webs featured at the background (as well as some details on the bot’s frame) are glossy and have a metallic texture effect!!
It is a lil bit smaller than what I expected, but hey, still very lovable <3<3<3
GOODIES
I got TONS of these, I’m sooo happy!!
Included a beach themed sticker sheet of some IDW 2 characters. Some cuts of individual charas from different continuities, such as Nightbird, Velocity, and megatronia.
AND GOD KNOWS I LOVE STRONGARM AND WINDBLADE!
These are matte and, I can’t really confirm the quality of the glue, or how easy/hard it is to use them because.... I haven’t sticked on any of them. They are so adorable!! I don’t want to waste them </3
Also, the package came with this extremely cute memo pad. The paper is soo soft, and the colours are very nice.
I have never seen TF cybertron, so I could only recognize Override </3 but still, what a fabulous design!!
Next, we have my favorite part... THE CHARMS! The half-bundle included a random charm from 3 possible designs; and since the zine reached its goal of +200 orders, they also added a holo Elita-1 charm!
AND I GOT STRIKA!! just the one I wanted!! she’s def in my top 3 fembots, I love buff women!! Loved her apparition in cyberverse, and since then I’ve admired her no matter the continuity <3
both charms are super high quality. The holo effect on Elita’s charm is well done, and look that golden star chain at the end! I love it!!
Talking about Holo stuff, lets take a look at the Elita-1′s holo sticker:
As I said before, no idea about the Stickiness quality, but the look is FANTASTIC, almost as big as the charm, and honestly? the holo effect is even better! Maybe it’s because of the thin plastic layer on the sticker, who knows.
But hell, that one is sick!
lastly, the “Thanks” card
The holographic effect is super cool, what else can I say?
The card is made of a thick material, which feels super nice.
As you guys can see, it features the same art piece as the zine cover (lovely!!) and got some credits at the back.
EXTRA - ENAMEL PIN
WE ARE NOT DONE!
As part of the stretch goals, physical copies got a metallic pin, and....
man.
I am speechless, the art is stunning, the gloss, the bg has sparkles, it literally shines when reflects the light; I ADORE it
SUPER HIGH QUALITY, and I’m so glad I got this piece.
I don’t know much about Lightbright (asides from the fact that she’s a cityspeaker) but she is definitely becoming one of my favs of all times<3

I find it incredibly fascinating how you have the whole timeline down for not only the transformers franchise, but the transformers fandom in your mind. Is this from just a lot of extensive research or have you been here since the beginning.
And side note, can you sort of tell when someone joined the tf fandom based off how they characterize/interpret different characters? Or other fandom trends?
A side hobby of mine is fandom archival stuff! I have spent many, many hours dragging myself down the darkest depths of the wayback machine, old newsgroups like alt.toys.transformers, geocities archives, etc. to see what I can find. And in that time, I have found a lot of stuff. Plus, I am especially interested in TMUK history, in part because of the longstanding impact it has had on canon material, and the somewhat porous relationship that existed even before like, IDW phase two really crossed the streams.
Now, I haven't been here nearly that long- only since 2009, and I used to exclusively lurk. However! I do know folks in my social circle who basically have been around the whole time, more or less. I spoke recently to a woman who follows me on Twitter who went to 90s botcons and did fic zines. I know quite a few folks in their 40s to 50s who have been in this fandom a Very Long Time. My mate Stu has been going to UK Transformers cons for twenty years now. So, if I want to ask 'hey, back in the day, did people xyz?' I can like. Go ask people directly quite a lot of the time. Haha.
As for that latter question: sometimes! It's difficult, because once something becomes fanon, even if the original source of said fanon starts to fade out of focus, said fanon tends to remain and pass on to newer fans by proxy. See, for example, the fact that most people don't know why they put G1 Starscream's home city as 'Vos', or G1 Prowl's as 'Praxus', they do it because other fic does it. Or that elements of G1 Prowl fanon generally tend to draw from specific Marvel stories, but hardly any of us have read most or any of those these days. I would say certain trends definitely speak to things like, ah, this person got in post-IDW, or post-TFP, or whatever, though. Megatron characterization is one. Common Decepticon backstories is one. Use of stuff like 'conjunx' rather than 'sparkmate' or 'bondmate'. But again, people can pick that up by osmosis. So.

June 28, 2023: when the a/c dies just in time for the first heatwave of summer
well, in a big win for hoarders, the window a/c unit that's been sitting on our porch for years still works, so p. cleaned that off and installed it in the bedroom. then while i was absolutely tunnelvision panicking about how tf i'm gonna be able to borrow money to get the central a/c repaired/replaced, he had the brilliant idea to buy another window unit for the living room. we also have several box fans, thick curtains blocking out the front windows, and are shutting the windows in the daytime & opening in the night. so, it's not the worst. i lived without a/c for most of my life anyway. more importantly, the animals are doing okay (although only 1 out of 3 cats seems to realize that the floor is a much cooler place to be than their window platforms)
i'm extremely insolvent -- like, i get paid monthly and typically have only a couple hundred bucks left once i've paid all the bills for the month. i'm hoping we'll be able to put this expense off for another year. if i can continue to avoid large expensive emergencies for just one more year, 5 out of 6 of my (non-student, har har) debts will be paid in full! then i should have a bit of breathing room to, heh, borrow another large chunk of money, i guess. ah, the joys of homeownership...
anyway, this is not exactly an emergency, but if anyone is inclined to throw cash my way to put in the a/c fund, i have zines available for sale on ko-fi, photo prints available for sale via dropbox, and paypal / venmo donations are always welcome (@SMPiotrowski for both). thaaanks! STAY COOL OUT THERE :p
