"Show who you are" Today I had finally some inspiration for the november @upcrate box from last year. With some other boxes it was waiting for my inspiration, so I can dive into them. I didn't use the bag from the box, but the bag we got on our #dienstagscrew get-together last October, as it had my name plotted on it. I thought it was ideal for this prompt. Think I have finally finished my Crowley T shirt now......Who's idea was it to paint detailed wings...oh yes me...you idiot!

.When you can't afford or find a t shirt you want..do it yourself, I want a Good Omens one...so here we go. Don't usually work on coloured t shirts, thought I would see how it goes.

Back in the 80s, I was studying printed textile design and I started painting, (with fabric paint) on T Shirts as I liked the texture... and decided to do some more. The original 1st thing I did, was actually a cotton, raggy dress I made to wear to a Bauhaus concert in Brighton, East Sussex in 1982 at The Dome. I was sick of everyone having Pete Murphy's eyes painted on the back of their leather jackets... so I painted Danny Ash on the front of my dress along with the Panda on the front of their Mask album.... after that, it was numerous Lindsay Kemp Company members I painted . 42 years later, I am still painting myself one off pieces of wearable art... they take ages and are not for sale.

Megtekinthető 2020. szeptember 11-ig, hétfőtől-péntekig 13-18 óra között. Bogó Krisztina 2 évet töltött Indonéziában a Darmasiswa ösztöndíjjal, ahol tradicionális indonéz művészeteket -bábművészetet, batikolást és táncot- tanult. Újtát az indonéz kultúrával való ismerkedés, tanulás, felfedezés vezette, új technikák, új tájak és új barátok felé. Kiállítása egyfajta lenyomat e 2 évről, melyben a művészeti alkotások és a hétköznapok szorosan egybefonódnak. A bemutatott anyag kint készített művekből, dokumentációból, inspirációkból és hazaérkezése óta készült indonéz témájú alkotásokból áll. Krisztina Bogó spent 2 years in Indonesia with Darmasiswa scholarship, where she studied traditional Indonesian arts. such as shadow puppetry, batik and dance. Her path was led by getting to know te Indonesian culture, to learn, to explore, towards new techniques, new landscapes and new friends. This exhibition is a kind of imprint of these 2 years, in wich artworks and everyday life is closely interwined.The exhibited material consists of artwork, documentation, inspirations and recent Indonesia themed works made since her homecoming. During the exhibition period Krisztina will lead a guided tour and gives a travelouge presentation with screening.

Samuel Slater. Son of a yeoman farmer was born in Derbyshire, England on June 9, 1768. He became involved in the textile industry at the age of 14 when he was apprenticed to a mill operated the first set of cotton mills in England. Samuel Slater today is known as the Father of the Textile Industry for his business savviness and his charismatic persona to push the industry to a global perspective. Back in the day's organic fabric creation began in ancient times roughly around 5000 BC when primitive peoples used flax fibres, separated into strands and woven into simple fabrics coloured with dyes extracted from plants.
