Another thing that bugs me about the games is that they keep giving Ghost the most milquetoast hoodies in existence. He deserves to have the most fluffiest, ridiculous, printed and colourful arrays of hoodies, both for tactical and casual use, you're telling me this man doesn't have a ridiculous amount of skeleton and skull pattern hoodies of various shape, size and colour in his closet? You're wrong.

National Status of the Former (and Ongoing) British Empire

I've been doing research on the nationalities of all the former territories occupied, colonized, settled, controlled, or otherwise claimed by the British Empire. Short story: it's a mess.

But it also occurred to me in doing that that I couldn't find a good list of former colonies and territories that noted their status today (in Jan. 2024). So... here we are! I bet there are errors and I bet there are omissions, because – again – it's a MESS to get a clear picture of. And according to many legal historians and cultural studies scholars, that was and is on purpose.

Snapshots of those lists below -- but the full, and better-formatted version on my wordpress [because Tumblr didn't support the table I tried to make].

Again, I am sure there are issues here, as there have been contestations, debates, and challenges to the statuses of people born on land around the world that was once touched by British imperial boots.

Welcome to the planet Virutian279-B or as the residents here call it.. Stratta..

Now don’t get your sights too hooked on exploring, Stratta is a very territorial world run by three main factions.

Over there, that’s Stratta-tera, run by and home of the Bio-splicers, they believe in all things organic and have a way of messing with DNA to make themselves fit the land better to thier needs and desires of balance with thier green land domain.

Opposite to them, is Stratta-mecha.. three guesses to thier stance on living. I kid, but seriously they are hooked to thier technology and “inhancing” themselves to be for efficient in tasks and such, rumors have it that they don’t even need to eat or sleep anymore because it’s not necessary.. super creepy if you ask me.

Oh and then there’s the biggest group, Stratta-celestia as they call it, the land of “purity” and adaptation in the least invasive or, ugly way. These people don’t believe in anything being added to the body that it wasn’t born with, but, I’ve heard stories that they will remove pieces of people they think are wrong or that others don’t have.

Me? Of no I don’t live in any of these places, I’m a scrapenger, I live in the red sands of the blood zone, not sure why it was forced that name, but me and my colony live out here with the banished members of the other zones. See, the red sands were assumed to be a death sentence, so if you over spliced and we’re no longer a person cuz, too many flaws, animal instincts took over your thinking or the tech brain tried to get you to get rid of other inefficient people.. your zone vanished you at here, alone.

I was born here and my colony live on the idea that everything has purpose, bland or extreme, big or small, scrap or new, wild or domestic.. the sands of red will find a use.

The Territories

There are four clans here, each with their own respective ups and downs to living within them. Founded a long, long time ago, the clan territories are well known to every cat nearby and are often avoided... However, there is no unlimited territory, nor are there unlimited cats either, so it's not uncommon to see loners or kittypets wandering through to pass by, join, or even fight. There's an abundance of predators here, as well, with many eating the occasional cat for breakfast.

CLIFFCLAN - The Strong and Bold

Cliffclan's territory is located north of the other clans in a mountainous region. Their clan lives within the mountains, cliffs and crevices serving as their shelter, with the rocky landscape and open skies providing prey. There are many dens spread out over a large area, though the central camp is located within an old twoleg structure that runs through and between two mountain peaks.

Cliffclan cats are resilient to the cold but get debuffs from heat, and gain extra skill points towards strength as a whole.

Lushclan - The Resilient and Determined

Lushclan's territory lines the beaches to the south of the other clans, laying claim to every major body of water from rivers and the ocean itself. They live within a large, open cave with lush plant life lining the walls. The walls were once carved by the waves millions of years ago, deep within a network of tunnels that underground rivers used to exist in. Now, they're dry and high above even the deadliest of flood levels; perfect for the coziest of dens.

Lushclan cats are resilient towards the heat but extra debuffs from cold, and gain extra points towards dexterity as a whole.

Brightclan - The Quick and Resourceful

Brightclan's territory is to the west of the other territories, its land vast with the tall grasses of a healthy prairie. They live with the harsh winds blowing up from the ocean, where the mountains can't protect them from the extreme temperature and humidity changes throughout the year. Their dens are located safely underground in tunnels made by creatures millions of years ago with claws larger than even the largest cat. Here, no winds or storms can bother them, and many underground animals may even find themselves prey.

Brightclan cats are evenly protected by the heat and cold through sheltering in their tunnel systems, and they gain extra skill points in speed and dig.

Canopyclan - The Sneaky and Dignified

Canopyclan's territory is to the east of the other territories, hidden in the depths of a tropical forest. Their forests are protected from harsh weather by the northern mountains and find themselves living within more modest but humid temperatures. It rains here often, which feeds the rich plant life and in turn attracts the most prey... and most predators. It's dangerous here, but by taking to the trees and moving from branch to branch with ease, Canopyclan cats are mostly safe. Their camp is found within a beautiful grove behind a waterfall where they lay hidden.

Canopyclan cats live with a good middle ground between heat and cold, and they gain extra points towards stealth and climb.

Four Peaks

This is a sacred place where the clans meet every night of the full moon under a promise of peace. In the center of the territories, it's thought that these pillars are all that remain of a large mountain that was worn away by the wind and rain by Starclan itself.

The Moon Cave

Another sacred place, located underneath Four Peaks, where medicine cats visit every half moon to share tongues with their ancestors and trade herbs. It's important that, during this time, any news of disease is brought up so that the medicine cats may work together to share herbs. It's said the worms that create light within the cave are each individually created by Starclan cats to watch over the holy place; especially deep within where the Mooncrystal lies. The Mooncrystal is a collection of ice crystals, permanently frozen in time by Starclan itself, so that medicine cats may touch it to commune with them.

Warrior Code, Section III: Territory

(This entry may be added to over time. See the entire list here.)

Listed below are the exact territories and borders of the four Clans.

THUNDERCLAN: The entire forest that stands next to the Houses and where the fences of human homes begin. The borders are lined by the stream that goes underneath the road and leads into the river, the edges of the forest at the bottom of the known territories, the firm line of the fences of the Houses, and the road splitting the forest and the marshes.

RIVERCLAN: The entire river in the south and the flatland pastures that are separated by the water from the rest of the territories. Borders are, of course, the river itself, including the Gorge, and the pathway humans walk upon to visit the Clan. Note: Despite claims of Sunningrocks belonging to one Clan or another, these are, by law, considered neutral grounds. It is noted in this category because RiverClan in particular is very vocal about the land being theirs.

WINDCLAN: The moors in the west, closest to the sunrise and across from the Mother, neighbored by the Barn. The borders are the Gorge, the hedges marking separation from the wild and the farmland farthest east, the road separating WindClan from the Mother, and the place the land evens out to become the neutral grounds.

SHADOWCLAN: The entire marshes in the north. The only stated borders are the road separating ShadowClan from the rest of the territories and the Mother. ShadowClan has access to as much of the marsh as they can travel, as well as allowances made in the Aulmir for food.

NEUTRAL GROUNDS: The strip of land known as Sunningrocks, the flatland surrounding Fourtrees, and the Mother. These grounds are not to be fought over or claimed as belonging to one Clan or another at any time.

Further rules below -

Cats are allowed to cross four body lengths over the border to another Clan's territory on the single grounds that they're chasing prey and are close to catching it. Once that distance is crossed, the prey becomes part of the other territory and the cat must return to their own border as quickly as possible.

When waiting for a patrol or specific cat to come by the border for a request, meeting or other purpose, a warrior should sit just inside their own territory and not make a move past the line. Calling for someone's attention is preferable to stepping over the border to make oneself known, if they've escaped attention.

Any contention over where one territory ends and another begins should be discussed at a Gathering, where the other Clans can give their input. Battles are to be a last resort.

Intrusion on a territory (that is, wandering past those four body lengths with no prey in sight) can be dealt with by violence or aggression, especially if it's a repeated instance. A Clan has the right to defend their territory using whatever non-lethal means will discourage their intruders from attempting border-crossing again. It's encouraged that violence is a last resort, however.

In case you're not able to read my handwriting, here it what it says: (Warrior cats territories & range:

The Twolegplaces:

1. Medford- Town north to ShadowClan, home to BloodClan / 2. Grants Pass + Redwood- Towns north & northwest to ThunderClan and SkyClan, former home to FireStar / 3. Brookings- ? / 4. ?- A big town, former home to Purdy / 5. ?- A small town, northeast to WindClan and RiverClan, home to Pickle / 6. Eureka- Town south to ThunderClan & Modern SkyClan, west to ShadowClan, home to Jingo / 7. Yreka- Town northwest to DG SkyClan, home to Stick / 8. Weed- Town southeast to DG SkyClan, original home to Sol / 9. Redding- ? ( maybe I will make it the Guardian cats home) / 10. Klamath Falls- A big town, former home to Millie.)

So, as you can probably see I have changed this area a bit, and also I have shifted canon placement of the territories. It had been done just for fun, and my own desires. I have also added two additional towns ( number 4 and 5) as they are in canon. I hope no one living in these places felt offended, and if so, I didn't mean that.

But why have I done something like this?

Reading warriors I have always seen The Lake Territories as the more warm & exotic from the both places. I have never been there, but from my research I know the weather there, where I set this territories are often damp and wet. Winter is usually mild, but it can bring fair amount of snow, and summer is very hot and dry.

On the other hand the Forest Territories, always seemed colder to me. The weather for Medford ( from internet ) is often wet and cloudy, with short, hot, dry and mostly clear summer. And very cold, snowy winter.

The Sky Clan Deepsands Gorge Territories I set on a more dry, grassland and chaparral (thorny shrubland) place, because I love the overall impression it done on the story. Though there are some trees (mostly on the north west side) I adore the idea that the Modern SkyClanners are more like the Mediterranean cats, dwellers of something similar to rocky sub-deserts of western Crete.
