Maybe pregnant hcs for Todoroki, Iida, Shinsou and Amajiki???💓💓💓💓💓
-Ohoho!!!! This right here just melts my hurt. Even thinking about it makes me weak.Plus a little heads up, everyone is having daughters cause I’m weak to the knees with the thought of these four and their babygirls so be prepared. Hope I don’t disappoint.💖💖💖
*All characters are aged up so around the ages of 20-25 and up*
Todoroki Shouto
-You and Shouto have been together since your second year in UA.
-You got married when you both got well acquainted with the hero life and now live a happy , yet busy, life in an apartment near his mom’s house.
-We know that this boy would want his family to be close to him and the fact that you get along with everyone fills his heart with so much love.
-You two never really talked about children.
-Maybe a few suggestions of having a child in the future but nothing serious.
-Que the morning sickness.
-Shouto was really worried about you, I mean look at you.
-You’re emptying your guts in the toilet every single morning.
-You can’t eat most foods that you used to like and have a weird craving for tuna yogurt?!
-He doesn’t want to leave the house, he even convinced you to take some days off and try to relax.
-Give your body rest.
-He promised to get some days off himself to take care of you.
-You had your suspicions, tbh.
-You just didn’t tell him.
-Whether that was to not get his hopes up or to post pone the heartbreak you didn’t really know.
-So what if you were mildly panicking over the fact that the 5 pregnancy tests you just took were all positive.
-It was the first day of your mini ‘vacation’ and thankfully Shouto had been called in today.
-Because you’re panicking and legit losing your shit over this, you call....Rei.
-Okay maybe it wasn’t the best course of action considering you were on the verge of cardiac arrest, but what can you do.
-You asked her if she was home and if you could stop by.
-Of course she said yes, delighted to see you and mentioned that Fuyumi was also going to stop by in around an hour.
-You made your way to her house, arriving just as Fuyumi was pulling into the drive way.
-After greeting each other and going inside, you took your seats in the living room and waited for Rei to make some tea.
-Fuyumi was going on and on about what the kids at the kindergarten were doing and how cute some of them were being.
-Neither of the Todoroki women had missed your puffy eyes or how your smile would constantly waver, but they decided to let you tell them on your own accord.
-Once Rei joined you in the living room, they both turned to you.
- “So how have you been Y/n, dear?” Rei said watching you really closely.
-You looked down, feeling hot tears starting to form in your eyes and your throat tightening painfully.
-Fuyumi moved closer to you while Rei draped an arm around your shoulders which were shacking at the moment.
- “I-I’m p-pregnant.” it was barely a whisper, but they heard it alright.
-Mom mode activated 2x.
-They reassured you that everything was going to be fine and how lucky you are.
-They repeatedly said how excited Shouto will be and what of a push over of a dad he would become.
-After 4 long hours of baby talk, you returned home, collapsing on the sofa before passing out for a good 3 hour nap.
-When you woke up, Shouto was home and sitting next to you weaving his fingers absentmindedly through your hair.
- “Hey there sleepyhead.”
-How could his voice be so soft!?!?
-You buried your face into the blanket, which really confused him, I mean...what did he do?
- “We have a problem...” pause....awkward silence.... “I’m pregnant.”
-*Windows noises*
-After the mild stroke, he lifted you up so you were looking at him and just stared at you.
-Those seconds that he just looked at you felt like eternity.
-The torture ended however, when he lowered his head to your stomach and lifting your shirt, placed a small kiss right under your belly button.
- “Hey there, snowflake. Nice to meet you.”
-And with that, 9 exhausting months started full of mood swings, weird cravings, back rubs and a never ending list of baby names.
-You two learned you were having twins on your fifth appointment, but you decided to keep the gender a surprise.
-On a cold January night your two girls were brought into the world and it was one of the few times you had seen Endeavour and Natsuo in the same room bawling their eyes out.
-Your white haired baby was named Rei *after her grandmother* while your mixed red and h/c babygirl Ren.
-When Shouto held them for the first time, you thought he was going to have a mental breakdown.
-He’s a total push over and your girls are daddy’s girls to the core.
-He’s the best dad they could ask for.
Iida Tenya
-You and Tenya have been married for 6 years now and have been trying endlessly for a baby.
-You both agreed that you were ready for the responsibility and that having a little Tenya running around the house sounded like a great idea.
-Saying that you were exhausted form the attempts was an understatement.
-Tenya had incredible stamina and even more libido, so you can safely assume that during the week long process of baby making you couldn’t walk straight.
-However, your little shenanigans stopped when your doctor delivered you the news.
-You had been hit by a blood related quirk while dealing with a villain and had to get a check up afterwards.
-You were given a scolding the moment you saw your doctor because why aren’t you in desk duty you RASCAL!?
-You were confused beyond belief and it was written all over your face.
- “You don’t know do you?”
-Le sigh.
- “Mrs. Iida I’m happy to announce you that you’re expecting, so that means you are to be put in desk duty for the next 4 months or else I’m making sure you don’t leave the house for a good 9 months.”
-You. Were. Ecstatic.
-You ran to Tenya’s agency, bringing down the damned door to his office giving the man a heart attack.
- “Y/n what’s-”
- “I’M PREGNANT!”
-Que ecstatic air chopping.
-Tenya went into full dad mode during those 9 months.
-Buttt he’s also kinda nervous.
-Nervous like Tamaki in a crowd level nervous.
-You get the image.
-You have anything you want whenever you want it.
-The nursery is done the moment you find out you are having a gilr.
-Unlike Todoroki he isn’t patient enough to keep the gender a secret.
-When the day arrives, you’re just chilling outside with him when you nonchalantly blurt out ‘my waters broke’.
-....oh...oH.....OHSHIIIIIIIT.
- “WHY ARE YOU SO CALM?! GET UP! ARE YOU IN PAIN? CAN YOU WALK!?”
-This goes on until you are screaming and crushing his hand in the delivery room.
-Your little girl is born and she’s a carbon copy of Tenya.
-Same colored hair and eyes.
-The face structure looks like you.
-She has your nose and mouth, along with your eyebrows but apart from that she’s a mini genderbend Tenya.
-Because she was born early in the morning you decided to change her name and so little Asami Tenya was officially a part of this world.
-Tenya cried.
-You cried.
-Asami cried.
-You were one happy crying family.
Shinsou Hitoshi
-You and Hitoshi have been together for two years now, but you haven’t put a ring on it.
-Sure you live together and act like a married couple already but you’re not Mrs.Shinsou.....yet.
-You have been feeling strange for days now and your period was late which never happens.
-You are panicking but unlike Shouto you two aren’t married.
-He can leave with almost no complications.
-You were his girlfriend not his wife.
-The pregnancy tests you had taken were mocking you from the bathroom sink and your poor hormone ridden mind couldn’t handle the stress.
-You cried a river until you heard keys jiggling and HItoshi’s iconic ‘Kitten, I’m home!’
-You couldn’t face him like this.
-In a haste you shoved the tests into the laundry basket along with their packages and covered them with some sheets.
-Fixing your hair and washing your face, you straightened and walked out the door.
-After greeting Hitoshi with a kiss you calmly told him to go get ready while you made him something to eat.
-Your mind was running laps thinking how you could tell him or how you could solve your little problem as quietly as possible.
-That is until he walked in holding what seemed to be a box.
-A pregnancy test box.
-HOW CAN YOU BE BLIND?
- “Y/n, what’s this?”pause “Are you..?”
-Anddd more crying.
-You sobbed about how sorry you were and how you couldn’t explain how it happened.
-Both of you were so careful, how did this happen???
-After a good 15 minutes of you bawling your eyes out on the kitchen floor while Hitoshi was trying to calm you down, you finally stopped at the sound of his chuckle.
- “Well, damn kitten, your surprise definitely beat mine.”
-Then he pulled a small velvet box from his pocket and watched you closely.
-Now you are Mrs.Shinsou.
-These 9 months weren’t as bad as you would expect.
-Hitoshi was really good at giving you everything you wanted and during the whole pregnancy you didn’t lift a finger.
-One October night your waters broke and you found yourself in a long procedure of bringing your child into the world.
-Hitoshi was a wreck and had called Aizawa for emotional support who called Hizashi who called Midnight.
-Once you were finished, Hitoshi rushed into your room and found you utterly exhausted.
-He was the first to hold your baby and you have never seen him cry this much in your life.
- “Hello my little Kei.”
-Kei Shinsou was a happy little girl with an amazing father by her side.
Amajiki Tamaki
-Ah love.
-Something Tamaki found during high school and held onto it ever since.
-Now a well known pro hero, Suneater was more than happy with his life with you.
-He always wanted a little something more but never expressed it.
-He loved the idea of having a mini you running around the living room or waking him up in the morning with little squeals and kisses.
-He loved you to the moon and back, more than life itself but having a kid with you sparked a whole new sensation in him.
-So he tried to be sly about it.
-Forgetting the condoms or to pull out.
-You not being able to find your pills.
-A whole lot of fun.
-You were newly weds and your libidos were high af and with the prospect of children on the table Tamaki became 10x more driven and horny.
-So you weren’t all that surprised when your doctor gave you the news.
-You had gone for a plain old check up when he came into the room with a bright smile on his face and congratulations falling like a waterfall from his mouth.
-Once back home you put your plan in motion.
-You had a feeling Tamaki was trying to knock you up for some time now.
-He couldn’t forget to pull out every time like come on.
-But you were fine with it since you too wanted a kid with him.
-You just would’ve liked a little heads up first.
-You made your little bun and put it in the oven.
-And waited.
-And waited.
-And waited.
-Until finally Tamaki walked through the door,  a smile gracing his features as he made his way to you.
- “Hey bunny.”
-Giving him a quick peck you told him to check the oven real quick to make sure the food was all good.
-He obliged, walking to the kitchen and seeing the sole bun sitting in the oven.
-He was beyond confused on why you would only make one bun in the oven and not more, I mean you are two peop- ohhhh.
-OH.
-He did it.
-He let the news settle in before going back to you.
- “Are you sure?” nod “100% sure?” another nod.
-At that he fell to his knees in front of you, attacking your stomach with kisses and I love yous.
-To whom they were directed you couldn’t actually tell but you were happy either way.
-Calls the baby butterfly.
-Makes the whole nursery along with Mirio who is ecstatic.
-Butterfly themed baby room.
-Expect many back and belly rubs along with Tamaki coming home early because Fatgum cannot allow him to stay at work when he’s preparing for a baby.
-When your waters break you are buying some onesies with small octopuses on them.
-You have never been taken to the hospital so fast in your whole hero career.
-After many painful and stressful hours, your baby girl is born and she’s stunning.
-She has Tama’s ears and hair but your eyes and nose.
-She’s a perfect mix.
-The Big 3 cry as a team.
-When she’s given to him, Tamaki just cry laughs at how gorgeous she’s.
-Many thank yous are exchanged.
- Cho Amajiki.
-Tamaki cannot stop repeating the name even after they have taken her away.
-He curls on the chair next to you, holding your hand the whole night, falling into a deep sleep, imaging his new life with his little butterfly.

what do you think about the aang is possessive comment? about EIP ruining kataang? also about there being an implied (and nonexistent) love triangle thrown in nearing the end of the series as a tease?
I think fandom just likes to complain, lmao, but I’ll address each of these one at a time!
1) “aang is possessive”
This argument is honestly the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard because it’s just so obviously false?? Possessive is literally defined as “demanding someone’s total attention and love,” which Aang never does? Aang always respects Katara’s position in their relationship, especially after the EIP kiss, which everyone knows was entirely inappropriate and wrong of him. Aang recognizes her hesitation and makes no more romantic attempts towards her after that moment. Not one! Katara is the one who initiates them getting together in the finale because the war is finally over and she is no longer afraid of losing him. I beg people, do point to the “possessiveness” you’re referring to, because the closest we get to any character being possessive is Zuko in “The Beach”:
Zuko: [Side-view of Zuko and Mai walking.] He thinks he’s so great. [To Mai.] Well, what do you think of him?
Mai: I don’t have any opinion about him. I hardly know him.
Zuko: You like him, don’t you? [Mai sighs and walks away.]
//
Ruon-Jian: What are you doing?
Zuko: [Close-up. Angrily.] Stop talking to my girlfriend!
Ruon-Jian: [Side-view. Walks up to Zuko.] Relax. It’s just a party.
Frontal view of Ruon-Jian. Zuko knocks him across the room into a vase, which breaks from the force.
Yeah, Aang never acts like that. 🤷
Now, this isn’t to say Aang doesn’t get jealous. Jealousy is a perfectly normal and natural emotion, and honestly I’d go so far as to say that everyone has been jealous at least once in their life. What’s key about Aang is he doesn’t act on his jealousy. He doesn’t throw anybody across a room, for one. Sure, he doesn’t want Katara to kiss Jet, so he makes a little quiet comment about it. Pretty normal, and it ends there. Not dissimilar to Katara’s bit of snark about On Ji! Even the EIP comment, which everyone uses to argue that Aang is “possessive” (which again, blatantly untrue, because he does not demand or expect a relationship with Katara as a result of that scene; also all he does is nod lmao and tbh that’s such a healthy reaction to jealousy I mean he doesn’t grab Zuko and chuck him onto the stage like his name is Ruon-Jian, does he?) - Aang literally just gets upset about the implication from an imperialist play that Katara doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. Why?
Let’s be frank: Aang knows, or is fairly certain, that Katara does like him by this point in the series. That’s why he doesn’t ask her “do you like me”. Instead, he asks:
Aang: But it’s true, isn’t it? We kissed at the Invasion, and I thought we were gonna be together. But we’re not.
By this point the show, the viewers know their feelings are mutual. Katara knows how Aang feels about her, and Aang knows Katara likes him, too - he just isn’t sure about how ready she is for a relationship. So him getting upset about the propagandist, pro-imperialism play implying Katara isn’t interested in him, when he essentially knows she does like him, is honestly kind of understandable? Imagine if you were watching a really rude movie about your life and it included a scene of your best friend who you’re already kind of in a relationship with saying that they’re in love with the dude who used to bully you and only think of you as their sibling. Like, that’s kinda wack? I’d be a little upset - and definitely weirded out - too.
(I’ve also seen people argue Aang leaving Guru Pathik to save Katara also somehow demonstrates his so-called possessiveness, as if his love for her and her love for him wasn’t established mere minutes earlier to be the love of the Air Nomads reborn. I don’t think the show could have been any clearer about how mutual, powerful, and honest their love is through that scene. Also, he proceeds to let her go to enter the Avatar state at the end of what? The next episode? So again, any arguments that he was “possessive” and “didn’t let her go” are thus moot and entirely inapplicable points.)
Basically, Aang isn’t “possessive” and people who think he is are just looking for an excuse to hate on him, lmao.
2) “eip ruined kataang”
The only way EIP could have ruined Kataang would be if all the previous Kataang buildup was either terrible or near-nonexistent. And great news! Kataang was built up very well throughout the series, growing from a close, deep friendship to cute, blushy crushes to a true, lasting romance (pretty iconic of them). Even if someone doesn’t ship them, they can acknowledge that within canon, Kataang had a very strong foundation (it’s one of the core relationships of the show, the other being Zuko and Aang as narrative foils). The implication that one poorly written episode somehow cancels out the previous 56 episodes and the following four is embarrassing.
Now, I certainly wouldn’t have minded if there had been a scene dedicated to Aang and Katara discussing his poorly-timed kiss. I ship Kataang, so there is absolutely no reason for me to be opposed to more Kataang content! But A:TLA has a very clear trend of not showing such discussions on screen - example: Zuko never sits down with Katara and apologizes for using her mother’s necklace to manipulate her; Katara never apologizes to Sokka for her callous comment about their mother - so the fact that Katara is the one to initiate their relationship at the end of the serious clearly demonstrates that she has forgiven Aang for his inappropriate kiss and is ready to be with him. (And I’ve said it before - if she can forgive Zuko for all the shit he put them through, she can forgive Aang, her best friend and the guy she loves, for one poorly-timed kiss.) Narratively speaking, ’twas resolved.
Also, it’s incredibly important to consider EIP within the context of the series as a whole. If someone really feels entirely devastated by that one episode, then… their loss? I’m sorry to hear it? 56 episodes of near-flawless buildup - a slight dip + a healthy, logical finale where Katara chooses to be with Aang because she is at last no longer afraid of losing him = more than good enough for me. People can argue her decision doesn’t make sense all they want, but it actually makes perfect sense when you consider what has been built through every previous episode: she was in love with him! You can’t isolate a single episode and expect it to speak for the series as a whole, after all.
Basically, EIP gets blown out of proportion because some people like to pretend it was the only Kataang episode ever written, lmao.
3) love triangle
I always laugh when I see this because where?? The only love triangle in A:TLA was the one fandom invented. Within the canon narrative, Katara and Zuko were never romantically interested in each other. I don’t care about “shipping-goggle interpretations” or AUs or post-canon or early planning that didn’t make it into the final drafts. If you look at A:TLA, if you look at the creators’ intentions, it’s plain as day that Kataang and Maiko were the only romantic pairings planned for Katara and Zuko. And that’s okay! That’s why fanon exists. But people have got to stop whining about a love triangle and ship teases that just… didn’t occur. If they read Zuko and Katara’s interactions as romantic, well, that’s great and all, but it’s also on them, lol. That sounds so mean oml I’m sorry y’all 💀. I just mean that Kataang was very clearly written into the show from episode 1 and Maiko from Book 2 (or Book 3 if you really, really don’t like the flashback), so expecting Zuko and Katara to get together doesn’t make any sense (to me) when they never had any romantically-coded interactions.
Yes, of course I’ll admit there were a few Zvtara gags, but that’s exactly what they were - gags. There’s three primary instances:
- June calling the owner of the Water Tribe necklace (whom we know is Katara) Zuko’s girlfriend in Book 1. This moment is mainly hilarious because Zuko promptly redirects the conversation to Aang, lmao, but thinking about the context of A:TLA itself? The assumption of the Fire Nation crown prince being in a relationship with someone from the Water Tribe is honestly pretty concerning given how the Fire Nation is an imperialist conqueror and has all but destroyed the Water Tribes (and has certainly worked to sever the connection between the North and South). So, not exactly a great conclusion on June’s part.
- The EIP gag. I ALWAYS laugh at this one because their reactions are so funny? I love the little disgusted nose wrinkles and scooting away. That’s hysterical to me. But again, thinking about the show itself, EIP is an imperialist play full of Fire Nation propaganda. With that in mind, again, the implication that their crown prince was with someone from the SWT, a nation they brought to its knees by killing all of the waterbenders (but one) and thus eradicating so much of the SWT’s culture? Major red flags! People need to consider the implications of EIP as imperialist propaganda, basically, because that’s what it is. Ignoring that aspect means missing the entire point of the play.
- June part 2. What I said above still applies. Also, they both get embarrassed and hotly deny it, which is kind of the opposite of a ship tease to me? They don’t exchange like an “oh, but what if” glance or anything, lol. And June backs off immediately, so... 🤷
People who interpret that as serious ship teases are, bless their hearts, a little misguided. Those are just funny moments! It’s like Katara and Sokka dressing up as Aang’s parents in “The Headband”. It’s funny! It’s contextual! Sokka and Katara are not romantically interested in each other just because they dressed up as husband and wife (ew), just as Katara and Zuko aren’t romantically interested in each other because there were three jokes about it. I really don’t know what else to say lmao.
Now, I don’t know all about what Bryke did outside of A:TLA in regards to Zuko and Katara’s relationship and fans of it. I wasn’t here for that lol. But I do know that A:TLA built a beautiful, platonic bond akin to surrogate siblings between Zuko and Katara (highlighted by the final Agni Kai with Katara and Azula as foils). Not a love triangle. “The Southern Raiders” was an episode about Katara and Kya, not Zuko and Katara. “The Crossroads of Destiny” paints an aching, gorgeous parallel between Oma and Shu and Katara and Aang, not Katara and Zuko. “The Boiling Rock: Part 2” was an episode involving the loyalty and love of Mai and Zuko, not Katara and Zuko. Katara and Aang had romantic parallels, Mai and Zuko had romantic parallels, while Katara and Zuko - within canon - had strictly platonic development. And honestly, fandom should appreciate that more! How often do we get such an iconic relationship between a guy and a gal that isn’t shadowed by romance? (The answer: not often enough.)
Now, this doesn’t mean don’t ship Katara and Zuko. I don’t care what people ship lmao, and there are some interpretations of Zvtara that I really enjoy (post-canon Zvtara has so much potential,, I die a thousand deaths oml)! But insisting there was some love triangle thrown at the end of the series is a discredit to how well Aang and Katara’s and Zuko and Katara’s relationships were written in A:TLA, and I’m honestly tired of hearing such tomfoolery. A romantic relationship between Zuko and Katara within canon would have completely undermined his entire redemption arc, which further emphasizes that their canon bond was meant to be solely platonic, because why would the writers want to undo what most consider the best redemption arc in animated history? (Simply put, I don’t think they would.)
Also, A:TLA had a very clear history of staying away from love triangles. There’s no Aang x Katara x Jet love triangle. No Yue x Sokka x Suki love triangle. So why would there be an Aang x Katara x Zuko love triangle?
Case in point: there isn’t. Fandom invented it.
So that’s my thoughts, anon! It can be summarized as this: fandom makes up a lot of nonsense that simply rewatching the show can dispute, so maybe we should just start providing episode timestamps to people, lol.
A general note - people are free to disagree with this post, but I ain’t looking to argue, so… make your own post if you want to develop a “counterargument”, I guess? I’m just chillin™ lol I don’t want to fight with people. I can give you my PayPal if you’d really like to engage in a proper academic debate? Anyways. Much love! 💕

NORANDRO:
Tumblr media
i mean, starting off pretty strong with my favorite eskam couple. oh god. THEM. as someone who cannot stomach season 2 and also skipped william's clip and william's clip only when season 4 of skam came to an end... i will ALWAYS love what eskam did for this couple. i think i explain it pretty well on my season 3 review, but to sum up those thoughts: i think this is what noorhelm was truly supposed to be, they're both pretty flawed characters with great arcs who make their get-together super interesting and organic, alejandro is my baby and the most developed william and i'll die on this hill, etc.
especially i think that norandro, for a ship that got way less screentime that all their other counterparts, is by FAR the most developed couple in all of them and up there in eskam too, and although they weren't the focus of most of the show, it's clear as day that the writers really tried to tell a compelling story with these two - and they succeeded. it's shocking to me that eskam actually got to link the "everyone is fighting a battle" motto that has become a meme for how poorly incorporated it is on the skamverse, as alejandro effectively behaved around that motto: during season 3 and onwards, which is where i believe he's fully reformed as a character and love interest, he never hurts nora - nor anyone - in any way. he struggles to tell nora how he doesn't want a relationship because he doesn't want to hurt her, and in the miscommunication fest that their first clip of s3 is, i've always LOVED that nora calls alejandro a "fuckboy" still, and he's clearly annoyed by this, but doesn't bite back. he's always so mindful of her feelings even though he's struggling himself, BECAUSE he understands that his suffering is not the center of the world! because treating people with kindness is a strength in itself! and it continues like that for the rest of the season. like, at his most petty, he just sends a text to nora calling her a "fuckboy", which is honestly hilarious. he deals with a lot of jealousy because of nora's new relationship, yet he values her friendship so much that he never snaps at her, he never lets it show when he's talking to her, and he's never passive-aggressive about it - you can tell that he's so genuinely glad that they're still friends after all. god, the clip where he realizes that miquel is a shit boyfriend while he's talking to nora... imagine the things any other william would've said there. imagine the ways alejandro could've been petty or overprotective and fuck everything up. instead, he recognizes nora needs space and even though it hurts to be away from her, he does it because he understands it's what she needs - and his own feelings and entitlement (that he previously showed, too!) aren't the most important thing. it's beautiful. UGH. what a great character eskam crafted, there.
i like them well enough in s4, too. i think, for what they had to work with, they took them in a good direction and their happy ending feels deserved. it's just that... personally, i wish there was more introspection of nora's aftermath in s3, which is also one of my complaints with season 3 - and where characters like emma could've been SO good. although i understand the intentions, a lot of nora's internal turmoil regarding her abusive relationship with miquel are only tied to her desire to be with alejandro. it's frustrating that it became so boy-focused when the girl squad was the center of the emotional climax of nora's season. to me, the solution is still in giving the pov's to the girl squad and not... random characters lol, but oh well. i think eskam did good there and i still love this couple the most!!! i just wish there was an universe where their story doesn't have to be wrapped up in one season and we can get actual glimpses of a beautiful slow burn where they can finally get together and make their relationship work - and this is where the fanfic part comes in, i guess! as someone who loves the couple, i liked seeing them lovey-dovey in the background of s4, but also i wouldn't have been too mad if they held off from making them completely canon and only hinted their status as endgame, kinda how they did with eva and jorge. oh, and speaking of eva, i guess...
NOREVA:
Tumblr media
i guess, the main thing with them is that i love norandro so much that i can't really see nora with any other love interest??????? now, platonically. UGH. 12/10. anyone who's seen season 3 should know and i shouldn't even have to explain it tbh. i love the focus that is put on their friendship and how emotionally charged it is when it comes to miquel and the aftermath of all that. like, a similar thing is done with norandro - because at that point, nora and alejandro were exclusively friends, but it becomes even more relevant when it's about eva. eva who, you know, was in a toxic relationship herself. i love that she herself brings up her relationship with jorge when she's talking about miquel, and how wary she is of everything that happening. the fact that she's the first one to sense it feels so right!!! i love that eskam really made them close and gave them the window scene, which is both so powerful on its message and a true love letter to female friendships.
i think eva is a really underrated eskam character as it is, like... people really don't understand how great of a character she is and how much she's grown. they are quick to call her a boring, ooc party girl once s2 rolls around, like eskam didn't spend TIME making eva herself declare that hooking up with cristian (and cristian ONLY!) was something she did out of fun and she was decided to stop as soon as it stopped being fun for her. moreover, eva is such a perceptive person: she's been that way since s1 and it has only carried across for the entirety of the show since then. and when pairing two really good characters together, like eva and nora, you really can't go wrong. their friendship brings great things out of both of them and it goes through its own arc during nora's season, whereas other seasons either dump eva as noora's bff midway through or just make them really close to introduce character drama but don't really do anything to their dynamic as it is.
romantically... sigh. i'm sorry LOL as much as i love girls kissing and wlw romance done right... i don't see potential for this relationship outside their platonic dynamic. which is, btw, incredibly strong and beautiful. i'm super contented with how eskam handled their friendship and therefore i wouldn't want anything else from them, and it's not like nooreva where the chemistry was THERE. however! i'm always open to see people's interpretations of what romantic noreva could be. wasn't it you who wrote that beautiful fic of nora realizing she's bi and falling for eva after season 3? because now THAT'S the shit i'm looking for. i think there's a lot of potential there which i'd like to see explored in fic, but other than that, i love their relationship how it is and i've never felt a desire to see them as each other romantic interests.
AMIRIS:
Tumblr media
first things first: why did eskam NEVER confirm cris having an embarrassing, sweet, confusing childhood crush on amira? i mean, it's my headcanon that she'll later realize it and she'll jolt awake and think "holy FUCK" but like... it's a thing that isaks are into their jonases. why didn't it happen here :(((((
being honest, childhood friends to lovers has never been my thing? a simple friends to lovers doesn't do it for me: i like my relationships rocky, with lots of character moments and whose survival and success depend only on the people involved making efforts to change and do better. if you've seen s4... yeah, that's not really the case. it's just disappointing because damn, amiris is the realest thing indeed, but also... what case are the writers doing for them? because it was only irene and hajar doing the intense gazing and bringing all the chemistry home. s4 cris is a mess and a half, and while i like the idea of the bench scene featuring both of them, and being more about cris reminding amira the reasons she's made it this far instead of lecturing her about sucking it up better... the result is still lackluster. there are SO many issues on their friendship that were introduced and then dropped, and it's really nice that cris finally is there to comfort amira when shit goes down, it truly is! but what else is there? it's just a small part of s4 being a bunch of missed potential. they could've REALLY done something great with their relationship and bring back and close cris' development in the show, but we only got... well, nothing. back to 0. amira has to live with those problems, now. things like that really make it seem like once amira broadens her horizons, she won't really go back to her friendship with the girls, and cris will be a lingering wound of the past. oh well.
ehem. romantically!!!!!!! as i said, cris was totally crushing on amira at some point. like... canon really makes a point at making cris' brother amira's love interest, where dani has nothing to offer to amira than cris hasn't done yet. iftar on a rooftop? ha, loser, cris did it first. admiring her passion and her faith? cris does it arguably way better than dani. longtime pining? dude. go home. okay, i'll cut dani soto some slack since it's not about him lol. point is, if amira was charmed by all of those things, then what tells me that the option of her and cris being a thing is off the table? at the end of the day, they're indeed a relationship that needs a lot of work and patience to last. the 500k slow burn is writing itself, really.
(regardless of amiris' future, i still think irene and hajar have to do a cute romcom romance at some point. their chemistry is off the charts.)

So you just refuse canon and bumi and Kya were lying or were just dumb not to realize what was really happening and perfect dad aang didn’t favor tenzin so much and he wasn’t the special one who got all the trips and time with him and was the favorite and every air nation person didn’t revere him and his mother didn’t adore the baby of the family who gave her grandkids and youre right I had to look it up but pema was o n l y 16 years younger and a man doesn’t leave a long term partner to hook up right away with a girl if there wasn’t something going on before even if maybe they didn’t get close to f#cking or maybe it was the worshiping from her that he liked and it was enough even if he really didn’t have anything going on with her but for you tenzin is this perfect victim who never done anything wrong like aang and who only suffered by everyone else being mean and wasn’t loved enough for your liking but this is your hc and to be fair you can have any you want. Bumi was the oldest and he was a non bender that must have been crushing but he kept being a good person and loving his family. Kya was the middle child who was gay and who probably was a bit confused and a bit lost and still was the most caring person ever to anyone and was always willing to help and who even went to stay with her elderly mother. tenzin was the miracle child who got all his parents attention, an island and grow up to expect to be special and a leader who was rigid on his teaching and rules and was also sort of a shitty teacher who also treated a girlfriend/oldest friend like crap not because of the break up but how he did it. That’s all tenzin not just poor baby defenseless never done anything wrong tenzin but if that’s what you want I’m glad he isn’t as loved as you think he should be because with the bits we got his siblings are much more interesting and even better people
(I assume you’re referring to this post about a previous ask, and I’m happy to discuss)
Hi, anon! There’s considerably more for me to unpack here, so bear with me. I’ll try to keep my response contained to a few points:
some child (< age 12) psychology
Katara and Hakoda’s relationship
some pretty dang neat-o history facts that explain more than you think (because my diploma has to be worth something lmao)
(I’m trying to be concise, so if I sound short, please know that’s not my intention. I just wanna save this from becoming a novel. I also just burnt myself with NaNoWriMo, so it may kindof ramble idk)
To start, I don’t refuse the “canon” of the Kataang family, so take that as you will. I gave my argument completely within the lines of TLOK canon because I figured that was what you were after. And I can make an argument for something while not arguing against the opposition. A good argument should be able to validate itself. I never went after Bumi or Kya, and I never would. I love their characters to bits. I was focusing on Tenzin.
Nowhere in my previous post did I say that Tenzin is a ‘perfect victim’ who never did anything wrong. I’m discussing the reasons why I think his character should be explored and appreciated more. He is an extremely complex character just like the rest of the cast. To box him in as “the favored one” is narrow-sighted at best. He’s human. There’s more to him. He didn’t ask for his lot, but he makes of himself what he can with it, just like Bumi and Kya. He by no means had a cozy time (and he has the stress-lines to show it).
You say that Tenzin was “expect to be special and a leader.” That alone makes me want to know more about him and how he grew up with that weight on his shoulders. That kind of expectation can destroy a person. It’s very a-la the pressures of the first-born in a monarchy crumbling under the stresses of learning to rule. Tbh, I think that’s why Tenzin was written as the youngest, so that the cliché wouldn’t be as obvious.
I have NEVER said that Bumi and Kya were lying or were dumb. I was discussing kid-Tenzin and how/why kid-Bumi and kid-Kya perceived favoritism (all while remaining within the lines of TLOK canon, too). Perception isn’t a bad thing. It’s just someone’s interpretation of the world. Idk if you think there’s a negative connotation to the word, but there’s not. Person A can look at the sky and see the moon and Person B can look at the sky and see a void that makes them feel small and insignificant. It’s just a difference of perception. Just because they’re different doesn’t make one or the other inherently wrong. Different truths are more than capable of co-existing.
FIRSTLY, about Aang passing:
Kya wasn’t the only one to help Katara after Aang passed. Aang left a void in MANY ways, both as a family man and the Avatar. Bumi, being in the military, guarded the world in his stead. Tenzin took up the mantle in the City and on the island. Kya took on the emotional safety-net.
Katara was Aang’s best friend, partner, and second-in-command. She was just as renowned as him. I can imagine the world expecting her to shoulder his burdens in the wake of his passing. She was the Mighty Katara, after all.
ALL of her kids helped her through his passing, in their own way. Being a shoulder to cry on is just one facet, and all three kids helped her beautifully.
Some psychology:
I’ll explain why I think Bumi and Kya perceived favoritism (which every kid does, myself included. It’s natural and somewhat instinctive for siblings) as best as I can. I’m not a psych major by any means, but I can lay down what I know and remember from my classes.
I’m not saying favoritism doesn’t exist in families. I’m talking about family dynamics in situations where favoritism is subjective because it objectively isn’t there. (Others might define favoritism differently, I suppose. But these are my thoughts)
Children (again, I’m talking <12 here) perceive the world differently than adults. They have incredible imaginations and a pretty tame survival instinct. Give a kid one of those mind-bender jigsaw puzzles, and they’ll have a higher chance of success solving it because their minds haven’t grown enough to be constrained by reality. They’re mad geniuses who haven’t been developed enough to be closed off from the possibilities. That’s what makes childhood so precious.
That’s why even Gyatso wanted to wait until Aang was older to learn he was the Avatar. You have to let the mind grow and fall and dust itself off before you fence it in. This doesn’t discredit or underestimate kids, either. They are extremely capable. I’m just talking about their lesser known psychology.
“Developed” is also a word that doesn’t have negative connotation here. I’m speaking clinically. Some cognitive and executive brain functions aren’t developed until 25. It doesn’t devalue ability or understanding. It’s just a word.
Kids internalize things differently than adults, especially when it comes to interpersonal relationships. Perceived favoritism among siblings (in situations where there objectively isn’t favoritism, of course) is a classic example. Kids need only be a few years apart for this to be seen. If a two-year-old gets a younger sibling, they can regress to breastfeeding because of the perceived favoritism they see being given to the youngest. Mom isn’t going to let the other kid starve, but the kid doesn’t know that.
This isn’t just in infants, though. And as it can be seen with the Kataang kids (they were all kids when Tenzin went on the trips with Aang, and kid-Tenzin is my focus here): Bumi and Kya don’t ‘know’ that Aang is saving time for them, too, when he isn’t there. All they see is Dad gone with Tenzin and leaving them behind. And by ‘know’, I don’t mean to insult their intelligence. They comprehend why, but their instincts don’t. Siblings have a lot of strange instincts, not just Cain Instinct. Object permanence is critical until critical and abstract thinking are properly developed. Before then, it’s a “I believe what I can see” mindset (in the simplest terms...I don’t wanna wax eloquent about the nuances of it rn. I can see people taking this as me discrediting kids, but I’m not. I’m just trying to explain the Point B missing between Points A and C presented in the show).
Katara:
Children don’t start developing abstract thinking until about age 12. It’s part of their cognitive development. That’s when they start developing critical thinking (and scientific method and etc.) and the understanding of relationships between verbal and nonverbal ideas. Before then, seeing dad take their youngest sibling on field trips would 100% feel unfair, no matter how the situation would be explained to them. They literally can’t understand it.
***Katara: If you want an example, look no further than when Katara confronts Hakoda in The Awakening. Katara knew Hakoda had to go when he did (2 years before the show, by the way, making her 12). She really, really does understand, even when she’s older. But it still hurts, and she doesn’t know why. That’s because the damage has been done. She perceived his leaving differently when she was younger and it internalized differently as a result. She feels a little abandoned even though she knows Hakoda didn’t and why he had to go. Its affects don’t go away, though (as seen in the invasion).
I never said that Kya’s and Bumi’s feelings would go away or were untrue to begin with. It was real to them, and that’s all that matters, just like Katara’s feelings being real to her is all that matters. Hakoda understands that. Aang would, too.
Is that Aang’s fault? It depends on what your definition of a good dad is and whether or not you give him room to make mistakes. Personally, I think he’s a great dad to all three of his children, even in the canon of TLOK. He just isn’t given a proper analysis in the show.
Time spent together does not equal time spent loved. Otherwise, school teachers would be more of a parent(s) to a kid than their actual parents.
The acolytes:
The acolytes of The Southern Air Temple being all “Avatar Aang had more kids?” and completely side-lining Kya and Bumi is not in any way a testament of Aang’s or Katara’s characters. That’s the acolytes’ characters. Aang and Katara have no control over what the acolytes do/do not want to believe or think, no matter how many times they would have corrected them. They fangirl over the airbenders in the scene you’re referring to. Even the fangirls in the comics completely side-lined Katara as Aang’s “first girlfriend.” Their behavior in TLOK never surprised me.
Teacher!Tenzin:
Tenzin being a poor teacher was a good thing. It meant he could grow with his equally-poor student so they would become something better together, as mentor and pupil. I found that idea for growth to be pretty darn cool.
Devaluing the opposition:
“The bits that we got his siblings are much more interesting and even better people” objectively, sure, I could agree, but if I met an interesting and awesome person for a short window of time, I wouldn’t believe they were interesting and awesome 100% of the time. Bits of a person do not define their character. Every person has a capacity for just as much good as evil—it’s a variable that stretches equally in either direction.

History-fun-time with the-last-cuddlebender woohoooooo
(a.k.a. I’ll address my thoughts on the “Tenzin being given the temple” and Tenzin-Pema situations, as you’ve presented them, as delicately and concisely as I can)
Importance of different generations:
If we go on the theory that TLOK mirrors more than just the industrial shifts of the real-world at the turn of the 20th c., then the age difference between Tenzin and Pema isn’t abnormal. (It wouldn’t be abnormal until even the early 1990s.) I have to use some anecdote to explain this, so bear with me:
Their age gap is strange to us because we’re used to things progressing so quickly. History as it’ll be written about the generations from the mid-90s onward will be very, very tricky. Generations now-a-days aren’t as easily defined because of the colossal leaps in technology from the past twenty or so years.
Loosely, a generation is a group of people defined by relatively the same “changes” that happened in their lifetime (or whose effects affected their early development). There have been way too many changes in technology (which we know has a much stronger effect on a person’s early development now than ever before) in recent decades for that formula to hold up anymore, otherwise there would be a new generation every 4 years.
An age gap like Tenzin’s and Pema’s feels so much stranger to us because our generations are so tightly layered. 4 years could mean a world’s difference when, back then (and I explain what I mean by “back then” further down), it didn’t change much on the dating scene. Life was more or less the same as they both grew up. It was far slower to change. And everyone in TLOK was growing up in the void of post-war for several decades. The technology jump didn’t (arguably) happen until just before Asami (if still holding up the comparison to modern day), so an age gap even in-universe wouldn’t be abnormal at the time they were dating.
(Even my parents got married at almost the exact same ages as Tenzin and Pema, the only difference being that my mom was 26 not 25. Most people I know are in the same boat. It’s just a generational disconnect)
Kya, Bumi, and Katara weren’t kicked out so Tenzin could be “given” the island (needs time period explanation):
I know TLOK says it got its inspiration from the 1920′s (the inspirations are there), but, if I were to date it, I would say that it’s moreso set in the mid 40′s-ish. (Kuvira ESPECIALLY reminds me of a not-as-known-as-they-should-be person from that time).
Among others, the size of the radios and Tenzin/Pema sleeping in one bed are some easy hints to me about TLOK being set in the mid-40s (if we’re using New York City as the template for Republic City).
Even in the time of FDR’s earliest Fireside Chats, the radios were monsters that had to be kept in the corner of the living room. Towards the mid-40′s, commercial radios were becoming compact, and the radios in TLOK are pretty darn small.
The Cathedral Radio used in TLOK wasn’t created in mass in the real world until 1933, and people didn’t have the means or money to replace their massive radios with smaller ones until (arguably) after the New Deal (1933-1939). Thus, I say the 40s.
Tenzin/Pema sleeping in the same bed also supports this time period because it wasn’t uncommon for couples to sleep in separate beds leading up into the “I Love Lucy” era of the 50s (the separate beds were for too many reasons to talk about here because they were a fad--for even medical reasons--for about a century).
^^^setting the time period is needed to prove why I think Kya and Bumi left of their own volition, why they would do it, and why it was actually quite normal
Kya and Bumi weren’t kicked out of the temple. In real life, it was a trend up until the mid-40s for families to stay in the familial home, some even long after marriage. After that, however, multiple factors encouraged the want and fostered the need for young adults to leave their home as soon as 18. Kya and Bumi would be influenced just the same given the parallels with the time period.
Not all families did. The big (mostly industrial) cities were the first to do this. TLOK mirrors this with Bolin and Mako’s family staying together.
Republic City, like New York City, was years ahead of these kinds of changes, so they started the one-bed shift and kids leaving the home just before the 50s. (This isn’t to disregard the cultural influences bellying the four nations. I know that familial homes are a characteristic common to Asian cultures since the US is more oft to sending elderly into nursing homes and such--and I’m having a blast learning about Asian culture since my specialty in college was medicine in Europe and the West--, but, here, I’m working on the assumption that the world in TLOK is migrating towards a Republic City standard, and the comics seemed to be hinting at that from as soon as just after the war, not to mention in TLOK.)
Again, kids leaving the home at the age of 18 is a very new thing that’s pretty specific to the US (in the time the trend first started) because of the new opportunities that were so suddenly afforded to younger people post-war. These opportunities were in all areas of life, not just economic (economic arguably being the least contributing factor imo), but that’s a historical essay for another time.
My point is, kids leaving the familial home began as a choice in a post-war (100-year war, in TLOK’s case) world that encouraged them to do so.
Bumi and Kya were not kicked out so Tenzin could be “given” Air Temple Island. Bumi joined the military, and Kya traveled the world. They CHOSE to leave because there was opportunity to do so (that hadn’t been there for 100 years). They wanted to find their own destinies (and be the nomads they were born as...I always found it to be a great irony that Tenzin, being the poster-child to carry the legacy of the Air Nomads, never really got the chance to be a nomad. It’s sad, really, and potentially another reason why Aang took him on one-on-one trips since he knew Tenzin would be stuck with his legacy?).
Katara (again): As for Katara leaving the island, I believe that, among other reasons, Katara left Republic City because the light pollution made it difficult to see the stars she had grown up with. In real life, the Milky Way used to be visible to the naked eye everywhere in the world, and I think that change would be reflected in TLOK by default. Katara would probably find comfort in something as consistent as the stars and the Aurora lights in her old age. Plus, the city was probably too loud for her, and snow muffles sound pretty darn well.
TO BE CLEAR: This is not a justification. This is an explanation. I’m taking no “side”, here, because I’m not invalidating the opposition to validate my own. These are just my thoughts for how I see Point A becoming Point C in a way that keeps in line with TLOK canon.
*********************************************************************
Final thoughts:
You and I “perceive” Tenzin and his family differently, anon, and that’s okay. That’s just our interpretations of the show. I’m not calling for Bumi and Kya to be torn down so Tenzin can be uplifted. I’m talking about Tenzin (kid-Tenzin) in particular. His character is his character, and his value shouldn’t have to proven by devaluing Kya and Bumi. Likewise, Kya’s and Bumi’s value shouldn’t have to be proven by devaluing Tenzin. Just because they’re “more interesting” than Tenzin doesn’t make them interesting people (meaning that line of logic is flawed. i.e. lesser evil isn’t good because it’s lesser; it’s still evil. They should be interesting if the comparison is taken away, and they absolutely are and for their own reasons). Their characters should able to stand in an isolated argument, and they absolutely do, make no mistake. I love them to pieces, and nothing I’ve said about Bumi and Kya has made them inferior. I love them to death and have written more about them than Tenzin. It wasn’t until I started thinking about Tenzin that I realized his potential.
Tenzin, Kya, and Bumi were never “given” anything, and I doubt they would ever want it to be. They all had it rough, and they all deserve love. Bumi fought for a name in the military. Kya carved out her place in the world. Tenzin dug in his roots and planted the seeds for a garden he thought he wouldn’t be alive to see grow.
Me believing Tenzin should be appreciated more does not mean I believe Kya and Bumi should be appreciated less.
...just like Aang giving Tenzin one-on-one attention does not mean he didn’t give Kya and Bumi one-on-one attention, too:)
.
.
.
Again, this isn’t an attack on any character, person, or fandom! I’m not a psych expert, either, and I apologize if it sounds like I’m delegitimizing kids and their experiences. I’m trying to do the opposite. I can go more into detail about Kya and Bumi, but this post is a novel already and I'm too burnt out to add more.
I’m just trying to give Tenzin as much love as Kya and Bumi🥰 I love all the cloud babies equally (as I should😤), and I wanted to toss out my two cents for discussion because I don’t see the cloud babies being loved equally in fandom (kindof ironic)
If there is some hidden childhood!tenzin content please hmu I beg🥺

Hi! I just wanted to say from the match-ups I have seen that you are such a great writer! If it’s not too much I was wondering if I could get a living room and bedroom matchup for a male character. If both are too much, feel free to do one whichever one you feel like you can write better. I wanna do this anon so the emoji you can use for me is: <33
Info:
Pronouns: She/Hers
Personality: I am a very goal orientated person and I can become very hard on myself sometimes if I don’t achieve things as well as I wanted to. I tend to be quiet but not shy per say. I do not have trouble talking to people and making friends and I can become very outgoing but in the friend group itself I usually keep to myself. If I am comfortable with you I will make witty remarks and make fun of you in a playful friend banter kinda way but I would like to say I am a good listener so I can get serious real quick. I am really big on trust and I used to trust too easily and now I am a bit more closed off where it is a bit harder for me to trust others.
Relationships: When it comes to relationships, I believe in communication and I haven’t had a big problem with it in the past. I wouldn’t mind a small pda such as hand holding or a small kiss here and there but nothing over the top because you gotta keep the important stuff private ya know. My love language is quality time because I tend to be really busy once school starts and so making effort to see each other even through our busy schedules is really important to keep the relationship healthy.
Hobbies: I believe that you need a good balance between work and play though so some other hobbies I have are painting (acrylic and watercolor), baking, and skateboarding. I also listen to music everyday and watch like an episode before I go to sleep if I have school but binge watch on break. I also try to game a bit too like league, minecraft, and my switch. I also like hiking and runs in the mornings before class because it really clears my head and I used to be on the swim team but I don’t competitively do it anymore.
Bedroom: I believe I would be a switch that leans more submissive. However, I am really cautious to do anything because I need to trust them to be submissive. I would consider myself very open to different kinks and what not and aftercare is a must. I’m not super into degrading because I’m sensitive af. I just would want someone who is observant with me and my body as well as someone who helps me with my insecurities. Once I’m comfortable though I definitely become a brat. Just want someone who would manhandle but still tell me i’m the prettiest girl they’ve ever met hahaha.
Zodiac: Pisces (sun), Cancer (rising), and Leo (moon)
Hogwarts house: Ravenclaw
Future Plans/ Dreams: I am working to become a biomedical engineer one day to help make medical devices to help people. Right now I am leaning towards possibly doing physical therapy and making prosthetics.
Looks: I’m 5’6/5’7 and have a medium build. I am tan kinda like a honey color with black wavy/slightly curly hair that is about at my breast length. My eyes are hazel but mainly light brown and I have pretty big doe like eyes.
Sorry if it’s too much or too little but thank you so much! and I have such respect for writers so keep being you :) HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND STAY SAFE
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello and welcome, my darling! So sorry for the long wait, and thank you SO MUCH for your kind words! (⌒‿⌒)❤️ Let’s get right to it then! ٩(◕‿◕。)۶
Tumblr media
I was reading your description, and I think the person I had in mind for you also fits your bedroom matchup!
Tumblr media
Our lovely guest keeping us company in both rooms is...
Tumblr media
(Runner up: Ushijima Wakatoshi)
Kageyama is a very complex character. He’s one of the few characters ever who we actually see slips back into his old bad habits every now and then, but is immediately remorseful and shows signs of him knowing better. He’s always striving for progress, and he understands more than others what it’s like to dislike your past self.
- Tobio here is somehow both incredibly observant yet so fricking DENSE
- I imagine that however it is that you two meet, he’ll be super formal at first. It’ll take a little while for a romance to build because he’s not used to opening up, and he’ll need to really trust the person for him to let his walls down
- however, as soon as you guys establish a friendship, he’d be drawn to you and how goal-oriented you are, especially since he is, too
- He’d take interest in you, notice all your little quirks, and would even find himself blushing whenever you playfully tease him
- Problem is, he has no fucking clue why HAHAH
- I love him sm but boy doesn’t know what it is to like someone
- Hinata would try to explain it to him and he’d just be like cr- cru--... c-CRUSH?? ...what is that?
- Man is in desperate need of wingman someone help him
- Anyway, once his friends get Operation: Get Tobio A Girlfriend in motion, he just turns into his pouty blushy self whenever he sees you
- The other boys will probably go overboard that he’ll be forced to take matters into his own hands
- The confession would be a damn mess but in an adorable way
- He’d 100% yell his feelings at you while pouting/blushing
- You’d have to shush him TBH
- shush him with a kiss maybe? that’s a great way to shut him up ( ・ิω・ิ)
- Kageyama_Tobio.exe stopped responding
- anyway I think he’d just be such a soft, protective boyfriend, especially since you’re kind of quiet
- You two would understand each other so well. He’d protect you and your quiet side, while you would help him be more relatable in order to make friends. It’s also perfect that you two are both goal-oriented, because then you’d be on the same page when it comes to co-dependence/independence. One would understand the other when it comes to pressure, deadlines, and hard work, and you’d just be super supportive of each other all the time
- I think you’re better at communicating than he is, so you may have to inform him a bit on how it should work between the two of you. He’d pick up on this really fast tho so no need to worry! Kags has got you ;)
- Dates would be really productive ones. Study dates, work dates, workout dates; anything that would be beneficial to your improvement
- Early morning hikes with Kags :’( beautiful
- He really appreciates that you’re not big on PDA because that puts a lot less pressure on himself to be someone he’s not. PLUS I imagine he’s the same as you, who really treasures the private moments between the two of you because you’re both so busy
- Once you guys have some private time, he’d take it as an opportunity to release all his pent up energy and emotions. He’d be so needy and clingy when he knows others can’t see
- (  ・ิω・ิ) (  ・ิω・ิ) (  ・ิω・ิ) also u kno whassup when you guys finally get some private time (  ・ิω・ิ) (  ・ิω・ิ)(  ・ิω・ิ)
- I don’t think Kags is the very kinky type. He’d be a dom, but I don’t think the freaky stuff would really appeal to him, especially if it’s degradation, since the man worships you?? He’s just like... why tho
- He may get into some stuff that emphasizes his strength, mostly how he grabs you and handles your body
- Picks up on your sweet spots really quick, and I imagine he can even deduce which parts are sensitive without you having to tell him
- Apologizes if he ever makes you uncomfortable :’( he’d just be SO tender and protective
- I don’t think he knows what aftercare is, or like the specifics of it, but I think despite that, he’d just naturally want to take care of you and check in on you afterwards. He’d ask if you’re okay, if you need anything, if you’re feeling any kind of pain, if there’s anything he can improve on. And he’d definitely scan your body for any bruises.
~
You were walking home from an exhausting day at work.
There were more than a few setbacks today - an annoying coworker took credit for your hard work, your precisely detailed schedule wasn’t honored by others, and because of this, you weren’t able to have lunch. It was now 6:30PM. The rain poured as you waited at the bus stop. You were famished, soaked, and, quite frankly, so done with this day.
You sighed for what felt like the hundredth time. You were so out of it today that you haven’t had the chance to check on your unread messages. Your boyfriend, Tobio, had left a few missed calls over the past hour, causing some worry. He didn’t usually call, given how busy he was all the time. You texted him first to check in.
You: Everything okay, bub?
K: Yes. Sorry about all the missed calls. Where are you right now?
Y: At the bus stop near my building. Why?
K: Which one?
K: Never mind. I see you
What? You whipped your head left and right, then saw your boyfriend’s figure standing a few meters away, umbrella in hand. He was truly a sight for sore eyes right now - he wasn’t wearing anything special, juts his usual tracksuit, but he was wrapped in a scarf and held a soft expression on his face. It was just the warmth you needed right now. He jogged over to you, closing the umbrella as he made it under the roof.
“Hi love,” you started, “what on earth are you doing here?” A huge weight seems to have been lifted off of you.
He didn’t hesitate to wrap his arms around you, rubbing your body to give extra warmth. Pulling back, he took off his scarf so that he could wrap it around your neck.
“It’s been raining all day but I noticed you left your umbrella at home. I was hoping to catch you before you left work so that you don’t have to walk in the rain.” You couldn’t help the smile that was erupting through the exhaustion. This felt like an all new Tobio. “I guess I was a little too late, I’m sorry.”
You shook your head. “No, don’t worry about it. Thank you for thinking of me, bub.” You allowed yourself to slump onto him, wrapping your arms around his waist. You felt him loosen up, strong arms making their way around your form. You looked up at him without pulling away. Your big doe eyes stared into his blue ones, totally sinking into each other’s gaze. He planted a small kiss onto your nose. It wasn’t normal for you to be so affectionate outdoors, but right now, it seemed apt. You scrunched up your nose in response.
Had it not been for the honking of the bus, the two of you could’ve cuddled in the rain for much longer, ridding each other of the lousiness of the day.
~
I hope that was alright with you, darling! Thank you so much for trusting me with your matchup. Hope you’re having a wonderful new year so far!! Please don’t hesitate to sit and have a chat with me anytime ❤️
Thanks for stopping by! (ノ´ヮ`)ノ*: ・゚

Could you please do a captain of the football team Steve and tiny adorable nerd Tony fic. Thank you I love your work.
I am weak for this trope tbh ahhh! ~1.5k, established relationship, high school au stevetony
~~~
Tony started going to the Friday night football games last fall, because Rhodey made varsity, and he was one of Tony’s best friends. Also one of his only friends, but that wasn’t the point. Tony wasn’t into high school football any more than he was into high school itself, but for Rhodey, he sucked it up. He bundled up in as many layers as he could pack onto his smallish frame, and sat on the freezing bleachers with the rest of his classmates. He didn’t understand all the rules, but everyone jumped and screamed and leapt out of their seats at the same time, so it wasn’t hard to fake it.
Now, their senior football season, Tony can admit that he might just like the games after all.
“That’s just because every game ends with you and Rogers shoving your tongues down each other’s throats!” Rhodey argues when Tony voices this. “You were vocal about your disdain for, and I quote, organized enthusiasm and neanderthals running around in tights.”
Tony’s face heats. He could admit that this change of heart might have…  a lot to do with Steve Rogers.
But how could it not? Tony never would’ve expected that the one time he went to meet Rhodey in the locker room after a game last season he would stumble headfirst into Steve. Or that Steve would, with truly rom-com level reflexes, catch Tony just before he hit the ground. Tony had always thought Steve was…  incredible really was the only word for it. He might be a certified genius who preferred computers to most people, but he wasn’t that far removed from the world of high school. With his perfect blond hair, blue eyes, and movie star smile, Steve was perfect. An all-American boy next door who had a kind word for everyone despite a Popular Guy image that included being the captain of the football team and a shoo-in for prom king. Tony knew of Steve, of course, he’d even had a class or two with him, but he’d long since assumed Steve was far, far out of his league.
Not that the massive crush Tony had harbored for years could be diminished by a silly thing like logic. Tony figured it couldn’t hurt to daydream, and since he could teach most of his AP classes with his eyes closed, he had a lot of extra time for such pursuits.
Then, the night in the locker room happened. Steve’s blue eyes smiling down at Tony, his arms holding on for just a second too long; Tony all but swooned, tripping over his words as he tried to stammer out his thanks. Steve kept smiling at him, blushing slightly, because of course he was hot and kind of shy. Tony managed to croak out something about what a great game it’d been, and by the time Rhodey found them, they were talking with ease, and had lost all track of time. Tony was completely smitten. It wasn’t until the following Monday, when Rhodey texted him after football practice, that everything changed.
Your boy asked me for your number today. Told him I didn’t have it…
You WHAT!
Relax, Tones, I’m kidding, I’m sure Prince Charming is crafting the perfect message as we speak ;)
As it happened, Steve had been doing just that.
So yeah, Tony went to the games a little more enthusiastically now. He loved that he could feel Steve’s eyes searching him out in the massive crowd just before the game started, he loved watching Steve run plays with the team, and superficially, tights were pretty much made for the likes of Steve Rogers. Besides, now he got to wear Steve’s varsity jacket as he watched the games. It was way too big on Tony’s slim frame, but it managed to make him exponentially warmer every time he slipped into it.
It was a strange shift, too, going from the nerdy science kid to Steve Rogers’ boyfriend. People who never gave him a second glance, or only spoke to him when they needed help with their homework now wanted to be his best friends. Tony didn’t care much for popularity, but he loved Steve, so he tried to go with the flow. Plus, it helped that Steve and Rhodey already knew each other. Tony didn’t even mind attending the football parties, if only to be pulled onto Steve’s lap halfway through the night, as he nursed a single beer. He’d even driven all of his parents’ cars through the carwash the team held as a fundraiser, figuring it was a win for everyone involved.
Now, with the homecoming game just a day away, Steve is a bundle of nerves. They were playing their rival team, and it was rumored that scouts from schools in the surrounding states would be at the game, adding an additional layer of pressure.
“I need this scholarship, Tony, it’s the only way for me to go somewhere next year,” Steve says for the hundredth time. Tony puts down the Xbox controller in his hand and moves to the bed, laying himself down on top of Steve.
“Ste-eeve,” Tony says in a low sing-song. “You’re going to blow them away. Do the spinny play thing, you know the one, you made it up, but that one. They’ll love you, whether you win or lose.”
Steve gives a half-hearted smile. Tony knows the anxiety in that smile, though. Steve wanted a scholarship to Northeastern, so he could be close to MIT. Tony wanted that too, but he was so sure Steve would do great that he’s confident enough for both of them. He runs a hand along Steve’s arm, glad as always for parents who were away as often as his. He brings their lips together.
“Hey,” Tony says, pulling away just enough to speak. “You’re going to be great. You’re great. I love you, you know that right?”
Steve exhales, smiling at him. “I know, I love you too. And you’ll be there? Right in front?”
“Obviously,” Tony grins.
“Good.” This, more than anything, seems to calm him, and he relaxes with Tony against him, drawing lazy circles on his hip bone until it was time to leave.
When the homecoming game finally starts, Tony is the one who’s all nerves. There are a lot of official looking people around, and he can hardly tell the involved parents from the college scouts. He sits on his hands, both to warm them up and to stop himself from biting his nails down to the quick, and turns his eyes to the field. The team is jogging out, smiling, though Tony can see that Steve’s is almost one hundred percent forced. He leaps to his feet and cheers at the sight of him, then again for Rhodey, and the rest of his section joins him. Tony apparently has followers now.
The game starts slowly, and they’re down a touchdown for what feels like forever. Some of the plays are sloppy, despite Steve’s best efforts; everyone’s nervous and it shows. By the time halftime ends, though, the team seems to have rediscovered their confidence, Steve running out enthusiastically, coordinating the team, and playing one of the strongest second halves Tony has ever seen. He’s screaming until he feels hoarse with it, enough that he’s sure Steve can hear his every word, and parents are wondering whose embarrassing kid he is.
He doesn’t care.
Then, before he knew it, the clock is running down, Steve is throwing the ball and Rhodey is taking it and running it down the field and the clock is stopping and they win, and Tony is definitely screaming now. The game is officially over, and he floods out of the bleachers and into the field, pushing through the hoards of students and families and running like he has blinders on, his sights set only on Steve.
Steve sees him, extricates himself from the hugs of teammates and parents, and catches Tony in his arms, lifting him up and spinning him around.
“You did it,” Tony yells into his neck, full of adrenaline.
“Couldn’t have without you. I swear it was like I could hear your voice in my head the whole second half.”
“That’s just because I was screaming that loud. Also, I have a confession,” Tony says playfully. “I might not hate football.”
“Oh, no? Why’s that?” Steve kisses him, oblivious to the people around them.
“I kinda like this quarterback,” Tony tells him seriously. “Don’t say anything, but I think he has a thing for me too.”
“Mm, well, it’s unfortunate that you like this other guy, because I really lucked out today. One of the Northeastern coaches made a beeline for me right at the end of the game. They want me to apply. He said he can’t guarantee anything, but he winked a lot, gave me a lot numbers. We could be in the same city next year,” Steve confides, smiling so widely Tony wonders dazedly if his face might split in half with the force of it.
“Steve!” Tony shouts again, throwing his arms around him, letting himself be kissed and kissed, right there in the middle of the field. “I knew it! I knew it! I love you, but I knew it!”
“Yeah, yeah, my smarty pants boyfriend knows so much, it’s a good thing he fell in that locker room last year,” Steve grins at him.
Tony rolls his eyes, pulling Steve back down for another kiss, the excitement of the game still swirling around them.
He’d fallen hard last year, that was for sure.
↬ if i were to go, where would i go?
date: early/mid 2016 and early/mid 2018
location: unspecified
word count: 1,431 words
notes: creative claims verification. trigger warnings for depression and suicidal thoughts. really, right off the bat, this talks about ash in the past in a pretty unhealthy/suicidal head space and a little on ash’s remaining struggles with it, so though the final product of the song he ends up writing is not focused on that and neither is the majority of the self-para technically, there’s the underlying tones of that throughout, so please don’t read this if you’re triggered by any exploration of a suicidal head space just to be safe. or don’t read this at all regardless of who you are tbh. thx. also my computer died in the middle of proofreading this and i said fuck it we publish our self-paras unedited like men.
he doesn’t want to end his life; he just wants to stop living the kind of life he’s trapped in.
it’s a conclusion ash remembers coming to back when he’d still seen a therapist. it didn’t feel true, but he’d gone along with it so that they could change the subject and move on to something easier to stomach. he hated whenever the topic came up — if he’d ever thought about ending it all. of course he had. everyone must have at some point. it was part of being alive, knowing that living was a condition he had to exist with only as long as he allowed himself to. it wasn’t something he was very happy carrying the burden of most of the time, but only in 2016, when every search of his name brought up hate and venom, and everyone looked at him with eyes of pity or disappointment, and there was no other way out, did the scales start to tip in the favor of no longer living simply because it was something that was expected of him.
days back then had been one of two extremes. there were the more common days that have long since faded into blurs of self-inflicted numbness spent staring at his bottles of pills, knowing from his own research the amount he would have to take in one go to not open his eyes the next morning without enduring any more pain. then, there were the less frequent days where all he wanted to do was scream and hope the sound would rip him apart for good. on the rare occasion he could be bothered to drag himself out of bed without help, he’d go down to one of the studios at bc with soundproof walls and he would scream. it never helped much though. neither did writing, but he did it anyway, as faithfully as an addict to the illusion of pain relief.
now, he’s almost scared of reading his writing from that time out of fear he’ll still see too much of himself in them.
so when ash finds an old piece of paper carelessly crumpled and crushed in the back of an old songwriting notebook two years on from when he first wrote on it, he looks at the words with both an understanding and a distance from the person he’d been when he’d written it. he doesn’t know if it’s funny or sad that that version of him had been the one that had seen a therapist regularly, while the one that doesn’t sees the words with an altered outlook.
it’s too hard for him to revisit everything written on the paper completely. as much as he likes to pretend he’s better, he knows he’s only teetering on the precarious edge from falling back down into that dark place at any given time. so instead, the lost ash of 2018 finds a handful of lines written by the lost ash of 2016 that still speak to him and in the course of a few hours, he reworks them.
if i were gone tomorrow would they wonder how i am?
it’s a different kind of escapism now, and he doesn’t know if the lyrics he’s writing are actually more truthful to how he feels now that years have passed or if he‘s been so brainwashed to sanitize his writing by bc that making it more palatable regardless of the truth comes more easily than honesty to him.
nowadays, his mind is more set on running away than ceasing to exist. or that’s the conceit of the song, he decides as he tries to overwrite the darker implications of the original. what would happen if he left everything behind and flew to some remote island where bc couldn’t find him? where no one could find him? his yearning to travel had grown impossible to ignore since he debuted. he’s always been interested in the great big world and what it has out there for him, but now it’s like the only thing he has to hold on to. it’s a distant if, but he grasps it tightly between his callused fingers like it’s the only thing keeping him alive. and maybe it is.
running away. it's not as scary to think about, but it still makes ash fearful. he won’t ever do it. he can’t; he’s too bound by expectations and by the opinions of others to ever just leave. god knows it would be impossible anyway with how closely he’s watched and how recognizable his face has become from being plastered on advertisements all over korea.
but ash has had an active imagination his whole life, so he lets himself consider it as his fingers find their way over the familiar strings of his reliable acoustic guitar. the melody ends up coming to him before all of the words do, and some of the words start to find their place within the song once the tune has pieced itself together. he writes the melody based off the feeling this time instead of carefully measured structure. he’s not sure it’s complete with only the guitar, but he gets a good draft out of it. he wants something open and airy, reminiscent of the sort of freedom he longs for. he wants something that sounds like he can only imagine his soul will feel once his contract no longer holds him — free, soft, but with an unshakeable sadness even in its most hopeful moments, because even if he could disappear, he would only be shifting his burden onto others. if they bothered to care that he was gone at all.
ash loves silence. as a musician and as a person, it’s something he believes to be incredibly underappreciated. he’d been taught early on in his music education that silence isn’t a mere break in the music — absence of sound is just as much a part of the music as the sound itself, and properly executed rests could take a composition from good to great. that feels apropos for how his mind constructs this piece. it isn’t a symphony or even anything in the more complex half of pieces he’s composed, but the mood he wants to convey is so specific that he labors in thought for hours writing and rewriting the way he wants the notes to weave together.
it’s about solace of looking over the earth from atop a high altitude or being far enough away from the blinding lights of a big city to actually see the stars. and beyond that, it’s about experiencing the beauty of life after finally escaping from a slow trudge toward death, removing the heavy load from his shoulders and irresponsibly vanishing from his own set-course life and the lives of everyone else he knows.
he wants it to sound the opposite of the noises of his current life. he has early morning alarms, the hushed but insistent whispering of managers in the middle of an enclosing and suffocating crowd shouting and grabbing greedily, and constant phone calls and texts (some from the many, many people who have been handed over the rights to demand things from him and more from insistent sasaengs with too much to say and no personal boundaries). how quickly would any of them move on if he were no longer around as a toy to entertain them? a couple of weeks? days? a few hours?
it’s all a little too self-indulgent and he knows it. as he writes it, he doubts it’s something that will ever make it through bc entertainment’s harsh final cuts to be released, but that filter for public consumption still combs his brain, just as bc would want it to.
no one wants to hear about how desperate a rich idol is to escape it all. no one wants to hear how unsure a celebrity is that anyone would care if they were no longer there. but ash makes himself forget all of that as he records everything into his phone for later and layers melodies and harmonies to build the end of the song, a chorus of notes growing as his anxieties at his overflowing thoughts do, before silence.
again, nothing but a desperate, shaking voice with the questions that eats away in equal part at his mind and his guilty conscience each day.
a lone voice crying for peace in a life of figurative violence and literal commotion, and mourning at the thought that maybe, no matter how much he aches for it, he doesn’t really matter to anyone at all.
Random question about European musicals: - Your top 3 (+ why + did you see it live + any random anecdote about them?) - Des bons musicals en français? Parce que j'aime bien ça mais j'en connais pas des masses qui sont en français je me dis ce serait l'occasion d'en voir quelques uns
OOOOOH : I like that one ! Hmmmm… Let’s exclude West End for this one, otherwise I’ll never get to a top three
Top 3 (in no particular order)
Notre Dame de Paris  (special mention Roméo & Juliette et Starmania)
Tanz Der Vampire
Les Misérables (I mean at the starting point it’s french, though I do admit I very much prefer the 1991 version with the additions of the West End adaptation) and although it’s an adaptation as well, I love Dracula Das Musical especially with Thomas Borchert and Uwe Kröger. (special mention : Rebecca das Musical | I’m only discovering german musicals tbh and I really like what I heard so far but I have not listened much to Rebecca even though I like what I’ve heard and read so far)
Reasons / Live / Anecdote
NDdP : First I grew up with this soundtrack. The first musical soundtrack I’ve heard was NDdP (and Starmania and then came R&J). I was basically in love and crushing over the whole cast. I did not understand everything and every word but I knew half of the concept album by heart. I think it’s a whole as well, I love the music, the lyrics and growing up and opening myself to the world I realized how the story was still relevant today (that’s why I love Hugo) and how the staging was incredibly smart in this way. I have not seen it live yet, but I have my ticket for when they’ll tour near my hometown in April so soon ! As for an anecdote. Hmmmm…. I find it funny that Garou first auditionned for Frollo. Idk why but sometimes I imagine this and I really have either a hard time picturing it or laughing too hard.
TDV : why I like it. Let’s be completely honest, the first time I heard about it was when they played it at Mogador. And there was this promo on TV and I was not really watching but then I turned suddenly “Wait, isn’t this Total Eclipse of the Heart ?????” I was really confused. I let it go for a while, not giving anther thought but later on I was skyping with my bet friend and it came to my mind again and went to search the summary and see if I could like it. I found some part really great so I read it aloud to my best friend and really he’s not a musical enthusiast but I was pretty curious and still to this day we have to watch it together (I mean I’ve seen it but not yet with him xD). What I like in this is the character of Sarah and her “yeah whatever” attitude towards Alfred, she makes her own decisions and I like that. I love the character of Herbet as well and I love the music as well. I don’t have any anecdote though I saw a picture of Christopher Lee and Thomas Borchert after the opening night of TDV in 2009 (?) and apparently Lee really likde the musical and I just like this because I admire Christopher Lee in many ways not only for his acting career and yeah. Oh and I’ve not seen it live either. Only bootlegs.
Dracula Das Musical : I discovered the musical only a couple months ago. I had heard Thomas Borchert in TDV and I really liked his voice so I looked up his other credits and I found a video of Die Verführung of the Graz production of the musical and I loved it a lot. Loved the music, loved the cast and since I don’t speak German but it’s still close to English I try to decipher and try to understand what they mean and whenever I’m correct or not far from the turth I’m just “yay \o/ !” and so it fuels my want to learn German. I have not seen it live either but there’s the pro-shot video of the Graz production on YT so it’s planned on my “to-watch” list for very soon. The only anecdote I know about this musical is that this song, Zu Ende, was written specifically for Thomas Borchert and Uwe Kröger. In the original version Dracula and Van Helsing don’t have a duet or a song together and Thomas and Uwe are two of the most famous names in the German musical industry and it would have been a crime not to have them both singing in the same song so here.
French Musicals / Musicals in French Rec
it really all depends on what you search in a musical, the story, the songs, the musics, but I’ll give a list of the ones I like, but bear in mind it’s only my view and that there are plenty others that can interest you ;) !
Notre Dame de Paris (x) : my all-time favourite french musicals and even in my all-time favourite musicals list period. Amazing songs and lyrics, great music, amazing cast, simple yet brilliant staging and choreography. I love this musical I know most of the songs by heart and ugh did I mention I LOVE THIS MUSICAL ????
Starmania (x) : the second musical I heard when I was very young. I love the story and the songs are really great. One of the very first musical in France departing itself from “opérette” (hence the “opéra rock” mention).
Roméo & Juliette, de la Haine à l’Amour (x) : After NNdP and Starmania I heard R&J. Someone had gifted it to my older brother but he never listened to it. So I sneaked into his room and took the CD and listened to it. I was in love. I listened to it all the time, knew all the concept album by heart and developped a crush on Frédéric Charter aka The Prince. I loved the songs, loved the costumes, the story, great, great I loved it.
Le Roi Soleil (x) : not amazing but not bad it’s okay I guess. I liked it when i watched the DVD a few years ago. I only know the singles for this one though. Beautiful costumes and some good songs (some that are not well known like Entre Ciel et Terre)
Cléopâtre, La Dernière d’Egypte (x) : not on the same as the first three, but better than Le Roi Soleil for me. Great choreography, strong point of this musical and actual poc playing poc roles. Not exceptional but interesting to watch.
Le Petit Prince (x) : not as well known as the others but really poetic and Daniel Lavoie A++++. It’s really too bad it’s not known more. I bought the DVD recently so I can watch it again soon.
Oliver Twist, Le Musical (x) : it’s a new french musical, it’s playing now at La Salle Gaveau in Paris and I’d love to see it but I bought the cast album and it’s amazing ! Very broadway-like I feel the need to spread this musical whenever I can !!!
Les Misérables (french concept album 1980 & 1991 revival cast) : if I’m honest it’s my all time favourite musical (did I mention I love Hugo’s work ?). The french concept album is pretty interesting and otherwise known as Disco!Jolras (you’ll see why). The 1991 revival cast contains all the new songs added in 1985 for the West End production and the new arrangements. I really love the 1991 revival production and I’m so pissed it did not receive the success it deserved. The 1991 cast has my favourite Marius, Jérôme Pradon, he’s the cutest and Julien Combey as Enjolras is so convincing and good ! Great Javert too !!
Mamma Mia! (x) : don’t judge me but I love this musical, I’m always a sucker for ABBA and the french version was actually great ?? I think the translations were actually pretty good and Jérôme Pradon’s in it so that’s a plus. (I have the french cast album if you want, send me an IM and I’ll give you a link to dl it).
Special mention to Le Bal des Vampires (TDV) and La Belle et La Bête as well that have good french productions.
Thank you so much for this ask !!
