three new wallhanger bunnies looking for homes! these will be the last new additions for a while as i'm still dealing with medical issues, but hopefully the wait will be worth it once i'm finally able to work again!

To me the thing about osteotechnics and taxidermy is that even after being long gone, every specimen is still admired; it was impressive when it was alive and it still is.
You can see what remains and think what took for it to be like that, especially when you are working on a piece. You can see the dry eyes, feel the weight of the cold body and how hard the heart is despite appearing so fragile. Maybe this is the first time a human hand caress it's furr or feathers, soft to the touch. If you are careful enough, the perfect connection between every system will help you understand the way every living thing functions with the precision of a machine.
You can look at them and see what death will do to you, what you are going to become, and embrace it as a process of transformation rather than a terrible fate.
It is the way we live again.

Story. Life on the Line
Previous | Next
[ID: Ten digitally sketched panels in black and white, with one instance of red and green.]
[Panel 1: Hare approaches The Skull worriedly, holding up a hand in a 'slow down' gesture. He says, "Skull, wait (em-dash)" The Skull calmly says, "There's no time. Dee's giving us a chance, and I'm taking it."]
[Panel 2: Hare's temper flares, and he says sharply, "You're damn quick to throw yourself at the Walters' mercy! What if they're tricking you like Buster's men did, and they off you while your guard's down?!"]
[Panel 3: The Spine, offended, says, "We wouldn't do that!" Hare growls at him, "Yeah? You lot wouldn't jump at the chance to get rid of a thorn in your side?"]
[Panel 4: The Spine looks over at The Jon, who tilts his head curiously. The Jon asks, "Would you?"]
[Panel 5: Hare looks away silently (ellipses). The Skull says, "Hare. I've put my life on the line for you and Jack more times than I care to think about. Doing it one more time, for Scratch (ellipses)"]
[Panel 6: Shot over The Skull's shoulder, only part of his face visible. Behind him is Rabbit, looking concerned. The Skull says, "(ellipses) Well, it's not life we've got much else left to protect."]
[Panel 7: Hare becomes livid, his eye glowing green. Behind him is a white-to-dark gradient, on top of which the silhouette of the amplifier is surrounded by red. Hare demands angrily, "What are you looking at?! You pitying us?!"]
[Panel 8: The Jack leans forward on the bench and says, "Hare, she's not (em-dash)" Hare storms away, past Dee, saying, "I can't watch this." From underneath the bench, Tatters watches him go.]
[Panel 9: Hare leaves the room. Vivian says, brows creased, "We should hurry. I need to start looking at that inverter."]
[Panel 10: The Skull looks over at The Jack, who back looks at him guiltily. The Skull says, "I know. Get it ready. Jack. Before I go, I need to say something." End ID]

Tiny little William with his little taxidermied rabbit with the happiest goofy's little smile on his face. He probably named it Bonnie, And he definitely talked to it and asked it for advice until he was like 15..
