Thinking about the leap this one person I insta-blocked because they accused me of having something against butches?
I was talking about how my art history teacher loved discussing sapphic art and we learned about this one white masc lesbian artist who did portraits of herself with women or of women in an unapologetic light rather than the heteronormative viewpoint of women during that art period.
And I was like "wow I really appreciate my teacher telling us about her" and that stuck with me because I was like "wow this is Victorian Era antique sapphic art, I wonder if there's anymore art from a different perspe-oh" and I remembered what racism and homophobia was and was like "it was likely hidden or destroyed and we may never come across many more sapphic archives of how wlw is expressed on the spectrum" and knowing how blind hets are to sapphic shit they deadass may have may have been like "they're good friends" kind of bullshit
I can just imagine any more blatant depictions of wlw art being destroyed or hidden or not made due to scrutiny, especially in art where women are depicted outside of the general masc/femme dynamic.
Have you seen/heard of the anime The Fire Hunter? It seems like something that might spark your interest! One of the main characters is a big ol' dog and there are other dogs throughout the series. Plus the actual story is really interesting!
hiya! I was trying to get to your vulture culture resource page, but Tumblr seems to be fucking up the way the link works. every time I try to open the link it dumps me back to the signed-in "tumblr.com/blackbackedjackal" front page of your blog even when I try to do the "blackbackedjackal.tumblr.com" route. which sucks because I've had the link saved to the guides/resources for weeks and of course now when I try to get reading it, it won't let me see it!
I read this is Hank's voice
It's because my blog was on private! It should work now :0
Hi! I feel really bad for this but I would appreciate any help with it ;o; I need a new computer soon and need the funds for one that'll last a while. It's not an emergency, so don't worry!
I'm often lagging behind on stuff when playing games with friends/sharing or streaming art and it's...not the best. You can support me over on my Ko-Fi whenever you like, or boost to help out! Tysm for taking the time to read this.
Easiest way to tell these apart is by the numbers on the bottom. 4 is the number for the oldest models and 2 is for the newer versions.
When TOMY figures are recasted to make counterfeit copies, these numbers are often lost during production. Here's an example of a pretty convincing counterfeit, main issues being the cast being slightly wider than the original, with a slightly less accurate paint job and the number missing on the bottom
The fact the clear figure has a number is really cool because it's either a really early counterfeit or may actually be an unreleased variant? I'm honestly not quote sure but if nothing else it's the most accurate counterfeit I've ever seen.
Bonus pic of all my bootleg Ninetales 💖
Ninetales TOMYs. The original matte finish made by TOMY and distributed by Hasbro in the 1990s, and the glossy versio released during R/S/E.
The second image shows what I assumed was a bootleg version of the original TOMY, but it's so well made that I'm honestly not certain. Some clear versions of the TOMYs were produced (the most notable being Gengar), but there’s so much unreleased merch that it's possible this was infact made with the official mould.
