It’s non-binding though. Meaning israel is likely going to ignore it, especially with the US on its side. As much as it is wonderful to celebrate this public step forward, we gotta remember to keep marching and protesting and boycotting for a ceasefire AND a free Palestine. The fight is nowhere near over unfortunately but everything you’re doing is working. Keep pushing.

depends on who they come from!

from strangers on the internet, she disregards them cuz it's only the internet. at first she used to get flustered but then she thought about it n just -shooing motion-. the idea is that you don't know her and she isn't supposed to be loved and treasured by the society, so it has to be a lie

from strangers on the cities' streets, she gets uncomfortable. because she doesn't know them, this is high circle people who don't understand- who benefit from this wretched system and also gave her those insecurities in the first place. if it's a Child that compliments her though, that's hard to disregard in some way. so she flushes, giggles and thanks them with a little bow

back in her home farm district where she knows everyone, compliments are just part of the conversation. they don't mean much more than a pat on the back. they are more action based down there. wanna show your gratitude or appreciation, you take the other for a trip to spend quality time together or for dinner or give a gift

when one of her siblings compliments her, she suspects they did smth wrong n r trying to ease their incoming punishment. compliments r again kind of... far on the side- when they actually compliment her work for smth she smiles at them n goes on about her work when Inkling compliments her, Sparru gets excited as if she was still a child n runs up to hug her when granpa compliments Any of the children it gets quiet while they stare at him wide eyed in surprise. cuz he's usually the mean type to everyone but Inkling. then he gets offended by their stares n goes back into his grumpy ways n the children heave a sigh of relief before laughing

with Euros it was a process. at first she got flustered, then she disregarded them, then she got uncomfortable because it was knocking on her low self-esteem but boy was originally planning on worshipping her so it wasn't like he was going to stop. one day she cried in panic because she didn't know how to interact with this and that's how Euros figured out that Sparrows isn't all that fine mentally. told her that there isn't anything wrong with what he's doing, he means every word and he won't stop. so Sparrows had to find how to cope with it which turned out to be shily accepting it. she still cries sometimes cuz yanno how it be, but slowly she gets more self-confident n eventually starts dishing out compliments for him too. eventually it all fades into the same background like with her home farm district

antis you have REALLY gotta stop interacting with us if you deem this body some vicious evil witch from the salem period because this last round of anti interaction has gotten us more followers than the actual stim posting has and I don't think that's what you wanted to accomplish

people on twt are like. so genuinely mad about tyson being put on waivers (esp when they think rossi should be sent down instead) and my thing is just that. we weren't using him right. right? like he was good in the pre-season and when he's allowed to exist in a scoring role rather than a checking one, which dean isn't giving him (because, despite the state of our team generally at the moment, scoring forwards aren't supposed to be where our issues are) so waiving him/sending him somewhere else will at least give him the chance to get that? you know? he could go somewhere where he (a) gets to play consistently and (b) plays to his own strengths rather than what people keep deciding he should be doing.

maybe its my own apathy in that department but the way we hate ourselves in jtself is an irony

i told myself for the longest time i would never ever mention sexual trauma on here. it was like my secret. i almost stopped writing many times because i was afraid i’d get too honest and something would come out and then everyone would stop. and just. stop. 

i think part of why i talk about it now is just. i want people to know what this does to people. i need people to know. we’re so used to either never talking about it and accepting it as a fact of life, or seeing such horrific stories that we think oh God it’s a fucking tragedy and then turn off the TV. 

i need people to know what this trauma does to people. being graphic isn’t necessary, being specific isn’t either. but i need people to know what this kind of thing does.

because i have personally, and people i know around me as well, have gone through a lot of different kinds of trauma. loss and abuse and gaslighting. and those are all treated awfully, callously, without respect, jeered at, everything.

but i would take all of that a thousand times over to how people have responded to my sexual trauma.

Actually WAIT something else just clicked for me I was like. SOUNDLY scolded for gaining the freshman 25 in undergrad and I’m not gonna claim I was eating super healthy bc I was not but it was treated as though it was due to a singular lack of self control on my part when like. I had JUST finished my arangetram in senior year when the only requirement was for me not to tank my grades???

I had just spent a whole year doing intense physical exercise practically every day and eating like an athlete only to go to undergrad where I was definitely not doing classical dance? And the veg options were VERY largely carb and cheese based and I was still trying to be veg so it was either eat unhealthy or hit the bottom of my checking account every month (also scolded).

Like I was doing taekwondo and yoga and swimming but of COURSE I was gonna gain a certain amount of weight bc the size I was for the year prior was like. The size a person would be at peak physical activity, not the size they’d be living the fairly sedentary life of a student.

Tbh I’m only keeping Sebastian installed so that Lelianna recognizes Hawke in MOTA and it’s very funny to imagine Hawke justifying why he’s around to their friends. “Look, yeah this dude SUCKS so bad he’s the antithesis to most of us including & especially Anders and Merrill and ME and even the most pro-Chantry/anti-mage of you can’t stand him but he’s paying well and I’d rather keep my friends close and enemies closer, so get off my dick (gender neutral) about it I promise he won’t learn about wicked grace night!”

i do understand why you’re asking this, it’s not stupid at all. sure, if you currently don’t have any followers, then it might not do as much as if you had lots. but no matter how few or how many followers you have, it is still the best way for you to support writers on here. 

if you are concerned about gaining followers, then just the act of reblogging stuff can still be enough to attract some. now idk what your blog looks like, if it's completely empty or what, but i have a handful of secret sideblogs where i don’t make any original posts, just reblog things, and they still have more then 0, because just reblogging can still bring some attention to your blog and thereby maybe also some followers. I also know a lot of authors that block ghost blogs, so just be aware of that.

but the bottom line is that it is the best way to support people on here and if you wanna do it, then do it. but if you feel like your lack of reach to people is currently too small and thereby making your reblog seem pointless to you, if you really did enjoy it, then tell us that. add a comment, add your reaction, point out your favourite sentences or just add a funny reaction pic. there are so many ways to make an author feel your love, even just you popping in here on anon and generally saying that you enjoy my stuff. that means so so much. you don’t need a bunch of people who you can get to look at a thing you enjoyed to make the creator smile. I don't know a single author who doesn't have their gloomy day turn around at least a little bit by a reblog that is so clearly full of love, no matter who it is by. they have so much power, you have no idea. because yes it is amazing to boost and to help others find the good stuff, but if you add the sparkle on top? that always knocks our socks off.
