Answering your question is both things: I grow accustomed with the sexy stuff sells in America and also I think in some big figures in K-pop it kind of blatantly obvious that they are trying reallyyyyy hard to be cute.

But I also believe some of the girl idols are just cute, like Sana from Twice and Rosé from Blackpink. Like… I don’t think it’s off putting all the K-pop doing it, it’s just very awkward with other big figures, especially when they don’t seem to need it.

Exactly. It's a business at the end of the day, so I believe the ones who naturally embody that image or like it come off more natural and it's an easier ride. The others, it's business plus baiting men & young boys as well as teens, then roping girls in who love that aesthetic. Cute, ultra feminine, youthful and adorable is celebrated in certain parts of Asia and I applaud them cause although America is diverse, its a total different standard and you have to fit a narrow standard. Both are total extremes really. America values sexy maturity and Asia values sexy youthfulness (I know that sounds terrible to put youth and sexy in one sentence but it's truth).

I notice in Asia like Korea and maybe Japan, regardless of facial features, unless you're fat, outwardly ugly or very odd looking or mega short (even mega tall) they will find you attractive or adorable if you style yourself well for their beauty standard and are cute in some manner or a light sexy. America, they place a lot of value on European features and sharpness of the face and being "hot".

I don't see a problem with the adults being overly cute unless they are forced against their will honestly. Like with TOP, he exposed the industry in an interview and also he showed who he truly is on Instagram. His personality as T.O.P was just an image and him having a fun, eccentric and entertaining version of himself but he's showed us over the past decade that he's a completely different person.
