I have been searching face- and body- (and one butt-) claims all afternoon and OOPS, everyone in The Stranding is hot now. Sorry not sorry.
This list is technically In Progress but will I update it regularly or ever again? The future is a mystery, my friend.

Commander Peter Martellis:
Same height as Henry, slightly less built but still muscular. Fantastic legs and butt from riding horses all the time. Short dark hair with some notable gray streaks. Thick eyebrows and dark brown eyes. Well-trimmed black/dark haired beard with silver throughout. Crow's feet in the corners of his eyes, laugh-lines. Has smiled a good bit in the past. 35-36 years old

Captain Daniel Grant:
Clean shaven blonde, luxurious blonde hair that goes to his shoulders, pulled back often in a loose ponytail. Pointed face, very much a resting bitch face situation. Icy, blue-grey eyes that are VERY sharp. Slightly taller than Peter and Henry, thin and agile frame, also a competent rider, so also has nice legs and butt. 34-35 years old
This sour bastard has beautiful hair.
Henry Lemuels:
Age: 30 (Rescue) - 32(?) (Stranding)
Height: 5'9", or 7.2 inches
A highly-skilled sailor from the land of Vogunti Royalty, Henry Lemuels left the port of his home's Capital City on a privateering mission from the King, only to have his vessel, his crew and himself, swept up in an immense storm. The wreck claims the lives of all but him, and he washes up on the shores of a strange land to be rescued by a giant woman.

Corporal Lionus Ethridge:
Extremely kind, bright hazel eyes. Bushy eyebrows. Slightly shorter than Peter and Henry but not by much. Soft, light-brown hair that comes to about his ears in soft waves. Light scruff usually but shaves every couple of days-- at least one or twice a week-- to avoid growing a beard of any kind. Thinner than most of the other officers, doesn't have majorly large muscles, seems mostly agility-built similar to Grant. BEST GUESS FOR AGE: Early-Mid Forties but could be as old as fifty.
He's pretty.
Second Lieutenant Edmund Miller:
Broad chested, big strong shoulders. Man looks like a happy lumberjack basically all the time. Not bad with riding horses but obviously uses his arms a lot. Warm brown eyes. Taller than most in the Watch. Brown hair, always has some amount of scruff on him but never manages to have a beard, and somehow only ever is clean shaved for special occassions. 27-28 years old
If you throw these three pictures into a paint mixer and shake them all together, that's the closest I can seem to find to our beloved adorable Himbo man
Second Lieutenant Gregory Jones:
Fairly plain face, blue eyes, sandy-blonde hair. Shorter than Miller but not by a lot. Very straight, proper posture. Athletic build, strong arms but not nearly as thicc a boi as Edmund. Short hair, as with most of the watch. Little longer on top, almost shaved/short face on the sides. 27-28 years old

First Lieutenant Terrance Wells
Yes his name is Terrance. "He had a serious face, his neutral expression looking like a man deep in his thoughts. Dark blonde hair, a long nose and sharp features were almost betrayed by stunning dark eyes, large and round, with a browline that seemed soft, pleasant. He was one of the taller men, with a thin, lithe frame, and as he removed his jacket to inspect the back for dirt or debris from traveling through the dusty construction zone she was reminded of male figure skaters." 27-28 years old
Adam Rippon for body (white figure skating costume), that NICE BUTT for his butt, and face for face. Wells is very pretty and has a FANTASTIC butt.
Second Lieutenant Rupert Chase
Yes his name is Rupert. Brown eyes, nice eyebrows, brown hair though partially sunbleached to be a bit lighter in the summer. Looks similar to photo. 23-24 years old.
I have been looking at firefighters and cowboys and figure skaters all afternoon, it's been a good day.
First Lieutenant [Noble Guard] Francine Wright
Auburn hair, tall, muscular with a stunning face. Often smiling, bright happy eyes. 26-27 years old
More muscular but this girl is her vibe.
Lance Corporal Devon Harris
Moody face, dark hair (slightly longer than photo), only ever makes it to five-o-clock-shadow levels of scruff, loves to be clean shaven but his hair grows fast and thick. Dark, dark brown eyes and sharp brows. 24-25 years old
Again, darker eyes. The arsehole is pretty lookin' though.
Privates Peters, Hicks and Bartlett
Original Idiot Brigade Crew with Miller and Jones. Peters has crew-clut blonde hair, Hicks has dirty-blonde/light brown hair in short, wavy locks, Bartlett is tallest of the trio with black hair, thick eyebrows. Shown in same order in the picture below. All between 23 and 26 years old

Dark skin with dark brown eyes, glossy black hair tied back in a ponytail usually. Slightly shorter than Henry and Peter, very well-built with almost a swimmer's physique. 26-27 years old

Lieutenant General and Duchess Ais'lyn Vogunti
Brilliant red hair now with some faded areas where she's going grey, BRILLIANTLY green eyes, high cheekbones and sharp brow/chin. A LOT of laugh-lines, crows feet, etc. Still toned but not nearly as muscular as when she was active in the ranks. 47 years old.
Photos similar to when she was younger, like to imagine that yellow dress photo is very close to a portrait from her youth that hangs over the fireplace in hers and the Duke's home.
Fierce fierce lady.
Melanie Barnes:
Age: 32 (Rescue) - 34 (Stranding)
Height: 5'4", or 50 feet
An "early-retirement" crafter from Canada, Melanie Barnes suffered a string of bad relationships and a devastating loss in her family before stepping away almost completely from her old life, isolating herself in grief. She picked up driftwood art crafts to keep herself busy and semi-social by selling them at flea markets, and one days comes across the bizarre wreck of-- what she believes to be-- an elaborate model ship. After rescuing a small man, she has to adjust her life again to try and keep him safe, and hopefully help him return to his homeland in the future.

time had flown by at an alarming rate since the engagement celebration in sylvie's backyard. tessa had been consumed by wedding preparations and had also cherished the much-needed time spent with her aunt. but amidst all the chaos, one thing weighed heavily on her mind—the conversation she had with gideon that afternoon, especially the question he had posed as soon as she sat down next to him—did you ever wish that was me? she found herself replaying it repeatedly, and it tormented her to the point where sleep eluded her night after night.
lately, her fiancé had started to acknowledge her desire to make a life in her hometown, and it was clear he was not pleased with the idea. tessa tried her best to keep their arguments private, but the strain was taking a toll on her. It made her question whether they were truly meant for each other or if she was merely settling for a life that didn't align with her own dreams. these thoughts gnawed at her as she stood outside the bar during her bachelorette party, feeling a rising sense of panic since the moment the drinks started having their effect on her.
of course, she hadn't planned on almost colliding with gideon, or even knowing he would be there in the first place. leaning against the wall for support, her senses dulled by alcohol, she managed to muster a lazy smile as she addressed him. Particularmente não se eu sendo gênero fluido, posso opinar sobre a questão, eu acho problemático por que de certa forma inválida a pessoa usando um padrão pra fazer. Mas oque vocês acham?

O que notamos nas épocas dessas asks é que cada pessoa pensa de um jeito sobre essa situação, e a discussão ainda tá em andamento mesmo entre pessoas PCD/trans que estão na tag. É bem complicado dar um parecer definitivo, mas estamos sempre aqui pra ouvir todos os lados.

giselle’s name is staying the same. unless another stroke of inspiration hits me or someone comes up with another suggestion, edward’s is being likely changed to edmund. i wanted something similar to his original name, so something that began with an ‘e’, but still different enough. edmund means “prosperity", "riches" + "protector" so i think it works. later on, he becomes “king edmund the dauntless.”
here are some more divergences. i need to write them out in depth someday, and will definitely work on that, but here’s a very rough outline !!!
- they still have the backstories i made for them ( anyone who wants to read them can go on my archived blog ) but some names will be changed, of course.
- giselle has her dream vision, and it is in fact of edmund ( not robert like the film confirms; i wanted to subvert this ). he saves her when she’s in trouble in the forest, they meet, she recognizes him, and he falls in love with her at first sight. they ride off to his castle. they spend some time together before the wedding, definitely more than just a day or two, but less than a week.
- his unnamed stepmother sends giselle away...but it’s to the fey wilds.
- the fey wilds are beautiful, but mercurial and dangerous. being part fae helps giselle, but she comes close to death at one point. a very beautiful and tol faerie with long hair saves her. gil joked about him being a bishie.
- they go on adventures and spend a lot of time together. she gets to talk about her family and heritage and interact with that part of the world. cue romantic montage of moments they share, the lessons they learn from each other, the conflicts they get into and overcome. serious bonding ensues with growing attraction.
- meanwhile, edmund finds out that it was his stepmother who sent giselle away, and has her imprisoned immediately, planning to deal with her after he rescues giselle and brings her back. ( she obviously doesn’t stay locked up for long, escaping during his absence. ) he’d want her to tell the kingdom what she’s been doing as opposed to simply killing her and saying that she was an evil queen...though unfortunately this has consequences. he didn’t realize how serious of a threat she truly posed and would be later on.
- edmund follows after giselle into faerie land. when they reunite eventually, giselle realizes how little time has passed for edmund; for him it’s been only a week, but for giselle it’s been months. he tries to fight rowan. he’s insistent on giselle returning with him, that he’s there to save her. there’s obviously conflict because he sees giselle as his bride and feelings have developed between giselle and this stranger.
- faerie man oc ( he needs a name, let’s call him fm for now ) wants to go back to the mortal world to make sure giselle makes it all the way back to the castle; though he plans to return to his home as soon as he’s certain of her safety. he doesn’t trust edmund to keep her safe and still has a low opinion of mortals in general. the three of them journey together. giselle realizes the closer they get to the castle, the more torn she feels. she knows she loves edmund but...
- edmund’s stepmother goes feral, transforms into a monster ( have to decide if i want her to still become a dragon or not ) and tries to kill giselle ( and edmund ). edmund is hurt and knocked out. fm fights her. he’s immortal, but still can be killed, and sadly is.
- giselle is the one to finish edmund’s evil stepmother and deliver the last blow, with a weapon fm gave her back in the fey wilds. she holds him in her arms as he dies, and they share a passionate kiss. edmund wakes up and witnesses this.
- giselle goes with edmund to the castle and stays there as his moral support. about half a year passes and edmund notices she's starting to seem less of herself. he asks if she would like to return home. it’s not that he wants her to go, he doesn’t, but he wants her to be happy. ( it’s equivalent to the moment the canon character has, when edward gives robert the green light to kiss giselle even though he loves her. )
- edmund is right about his suspicions. being away from home for so long has been hard for giselle. she misses the cottage, her animal friends, and also suffered through her own painful loss, yet focused on keeping busy and being there to support edmund in the midst of all the political upheaval. she longs to be in the forest. being out surrounded in nature is the closest that she would be to the fey wilds, which is where she met fm.
- they have an emotional separation, but with his blessing, giselle goes back to her cottage. edmund stays at the castle to continue his rule.
- during her journey back to the cottage, giselle learns how far throughout the kingdom she has become known. as the woman who saved edmund and defeated the monster, giselle is greeted with constant appreciation.
- giselle and edmund write letters to each other frequently. he visits her when he can, and she’s invited to visit ( or have a carriage and escort sent out to her in the woods ) anytime. edmund is focused on learning to be a good king, to right the wrongs of his stepmother. giselle serves as his touchstone and dearest safe haven when amidst all the chaos and conflict for him, and she appreciates his companionship as well, even when it’s from a distance. platonic soulmates.
- edmund practices swordsmanship with giselle and they spar whenever they can.
there’s a lot to fill in and more to think on but yeah that’s the gist of how i’d keep them still connected in their ‘main’ verse as ocs.
