My name is Joe R. and this is my Thrive Experience! I spent nearly two decades as a law enforcement and SWATofficer in California. The rigors of the job kept me in halfway decent shape...but there's not a cop alive who will tell you that their nutrition is where it should be. Shift work, long hours, little sleep, and dangerous situations made getting the right nutrition almost impossible. In 2013 I was involved in a violent encounter, which sidelined my career. Challenges from that event compounded, and by 2015, I was 312 pounds, unhappy, not moving enough, and tired all the time. In 2015 I decided to get control of my life again.
