Twilight Sparkle & Blossom ATC by Manda (xSugar) Via Flickr: Done for a favorite cartoon character ATC swap. It seems like it would be more appropriate (at least to me) for me to draw Twilight Sparkle with Bubbles since they're both voiced by the same person. In the end, I decided against that because Bubbles wasn't my favorite PPG *GASP* it was Blossom. And besides, Blossom & Twilight are the same character archetype, so it works out.

New Work: “Back to School” Postcards! And a very special note lol

This draft has been sitting for a hot minute, but I need to add a note or two before posting. Always need to put myself straight. Someone, please tell me how to stop beating myself up all the time. ANYWAYS. I’m going to try to bust out some graffiti signs. I am proud to say I always have name and word commissions. I am going to invest in some crazier markers and some metallics. Shiny paint always looks great on typography and design-y stuff. I am also def making that postcard set! See? Now... to your original drafted post. Happy Monday! It’s a new week guys, default settings for most even though it’s not technically the first day of the week. I ramble. Stay positive. You got this. Lol xo!

I made some sweet postcards. I like making them from recycled scraps, which is always my favorite way to use mail and hauls. I stuck with the theme "Back to School" and I used lots of neon. I teased all last week about it giving me all the "Saved by the Bell" vibes. So 90's! My favorite one is the "school see" one. That bright orange just made everything pop. I like them as a collection. I need to scan them. I will be releasing that particular postcard as a postcard set in my shop. I am thinking about a little 5 pack...

Also, I love the look of that micron on the hot pink. I actually thought of a few more ideas I really want to do by writing that little card. I'll need the iPad and Fresco but it will be worth it. You know I always have more ideas than I have time for execution but I am going to try! lmao

Hello I am Laura, I have just recently started penpalling again! Due to being self employed and non essential worker, I had to temporarily close my business. So I took up penpalling and emailing people who are in lock down/self isolation. It doesn't only help me but also my penpals. It is a good way of breaking boredom. I am hoping to write a blog post weekly with ideas, incoming and outgoing mail.

I am penpals with a few new penpals and often would be writing the first letter, my introduction letter. So here is a little guide to get you started whether you are new to penpalling or been at it for a while. I love to make sure my introduction letters are at least 2 A4 pages long.

Address:

Top of the letter, make sure you write it clearly, although some people write it on a separate piece of paper or in a lovely card or even on a "business card".

Dear...

I like to write Dear xxxxxx, how are you?

Proceed with telling them about my day!

What ever I did that day, that I am writing, I tell them about my day, gossip, funny happenings. At the moment, in lock down, things are boring, but I still try to tell them what I did even if it is only a I went for a short walk and bumped into a few clients along the way.

Introduce myself.

My name us Laura, I am 32, 33 in June 25.

Location

I tend to tell them which town I live in and location of where it is and between the two cities and why I love it here or there. What my home is like, I live behind a nature reserve

Things to do in town, usually along the lines of how dog friendly it is and this takes me on to my next subject which is...

My job

My jobs, how I love it, what I do. What I used to do, where I trained ect. I am a dog walker and pet sitter, self employed.

I don't list too many. Just my favourites, what I am currently watching. I love to make movie suggestions. Mix it up a bit. I always feel narcissistic when its all about me.
