A Christmas-themed Myscene Barbie commission for a client 🎅🏼🎿☃️🏙️❄️
The original gang (Madison, Nolee and Chelsea) were all based on the original Myscene Chillin’ Out line collection (2003), except for the blonde Malibu Barbie. Since Mattel had already have Brooklyn Barbie now; and it’s worked out much better as all of the dolls were named after notable places in the Big Apple City. 🍎🏙️❄️

Not a Winter Wonderland: mysterymanjoseph and ofmanymuses
Joseph was taking a long break from the corporate rat race, by way of a cross country road trip. He was halfway across, stopping over in Kansas City, Missouri. The weather forecasters were all over the place on what was going to happen the next few days, either an Arctic-geddon storm, or just a lot of rain, with some localized flooding. He decided to stay over a couple of days to keep from getting caught out in a real mess. After all, most stories you see on the news of people in survival situations are because they made a poor decision to be where the trouble was going to be to start with. So, after getting a hotel room, he is bored. Staying in that room is not all that appealing, so he goes out, finding a bar, with a pool table. Spending a few hours playing friendly games with other patrons, the place starts to empty out, and he is playing a game against himself. It has to be getting late and he was about to call it a night himself, when the lights go out, and everything gets really dark and quiet. He thinks, “Well, that sure cut my game short.”

For the most part, Sutton had done a really good job at being undetected. At least, that’s what she had assumed given that the new tenant hadn’t made any sort of implication that she had neither seen her nor felt her presence. It’d been about nearly two months since the new girl moved into her old apartment. In a way, it was oddly comforting to have someone around. Which in itself was just a very sad thought. But that’s what Sutton had been reduced to feeling. The presence of a complete stranger who had no idea that she was there was comforting to her. Rather it had been comforting before this very moment where Sutton had accidentally made herself known. She’d heard the click of the lights going on and she stupidly was staring at the pages of a magazine the woman had left open on the coffee table. With no where to run, she’d finally been caught. On the bright side, though, at least now she knew that she could be seen. For the longest time, she’d started to believe no one could. See, Sutton had been roaming freely around this apartment because, well, she couldn’t exactly leave. Not without trying, either. She couldn’t remember how or why, but at some point, many months ago now, she had died in this very apartment. Now she was roaming around like a ghost. Well, she was a ghost. A ghost that could be seen apparently. At least this girl could see her, that is. Her parents hadn’t been able to. Now said girl was holding a baseball bat and Sutton could only assume she had every intention of whacking her with it. But really, there was only one thing she could focus on. “... You can see me?”
