So I’m the only one thinking about Pierre lowkey being a terrible person? He literally lies to people that he produced the produce the player sells to him. (If it’s good quality, of course) OR he tells the villagers it was the player if the produce we sell isn’t good.
Both him and Jojacorp are corrupt. I say the player starts their own store and shuts Pierre’s shop down along with Jojacorp.

An open letter to the U.S. Congress
Co-sponsor the Farmers Feeding America Act (S. 2713 / H.R. 6203)
703 so far! Help us get to 1,000 signers!
Please support farmers and help families access the food we all need to thrive by strengthening The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) through co-sponsoring the Farmers Feeding America Act (S. 2713 and H.R. 6203). This legislation would:
- Double annual mandatory funding for TEFAP food purchases to help people facing hunger and support the U.S. agricultural economy.
- Increase annual funding for TEFAP storage and distribution to $200 million to help food banks offset the rising costs of storing, transporting and distributing nutritious foods from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
- Establish alternative delivery options for commodities allocated to geographically isolated states.
A strong agricultural sector that has deep partnerships with food banks and other emergency food assistance providers is essential to helping end hunger in the U.S. Co-sponsoring the Farmers Feeding America Act is an important stepping stone toward a future without food insecurity. Thanks!

I spoke with a mentor who is an experienced industrialist and farmer. He owns large acres of land and grows crops like sugarcane, coconut etc. We talked about a film called Pazhani clip🔗https://www.facebook.com/reel/214565721436356?sfnsn=wiwspwa&mibextid=LYESl6 , which shows farmers' struggles & quits because of losses, lack of aid & support from the government, and harassment of the traders who procure the harvest at rock-bottom prices. My mentor agreed with the film's message that many farmers face a similar fate because the present generation prefers working indoors. He also deals with challenges like voltage fluctuations, labor shortages, animal infestations, theft, and unfair prices from middlemen. Despite these challenges, he continues farming to provide organic food for his family and uphold his family's legacy.
If farming declines and people choose office jobs, reliance on unhealthy food will rise, causing sickness and profits for pharma companies. Agricultural lands are being converted to commercial spaces & Industrial lands ( 30 % is done in TN & Pondicherry) raising concerns about relying on other countries for food. This could lead to a fourfold increase in food prices and the worst-case scenario ration of food supplies or starvation.
Regrettably, politicians often disregard agriculture's significance for their own financial gain. Our nation has historically relied on agriculture as its main industry(backbone) , and it is our duty to take immediate measures to protect future generations from the dire consequences this negligence may bring. Failure to do so will only allow privileged opportunists to exploit the situation and reap substantial profits at the expense of everyone else, thus exerting their control over us. #awareness #supportfarming

Browsing the Bounty: A Tour of Iowa City Farmers Market
Tumblr media
The Iowa Farmers Market is a lively and buzzing place for local artisans and farmhands, and a visit there offers a wealth of sights, sounds, and flavours to explore. Therefore, here's a tour of the market and what one can expect from it:
The first and foremost sight when reaching the market were rows of colorful tents and booths installed down several blocks of downtown Iowa City. The lowa city farmers market is operated every Saturday morning from May to October; during the peak season, it is open on Wednesdays as well.
There was plenty of fresh produce on display, which got noticed. The local farmers offer everything from plump tomatoes and peppers to crisp lettuce and herbs, along with a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables. Other root vegetables are also there, like potatoes, onions, and garlic, as well as sweet corn and other Iowa favourites.
There were also locally raised varieties of meat, eggs, grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, and pasture-raised pork, along with eggs without antibiotics or hormones.
There were also sweet products such as local honey, maple syrup, and jams available in various flavours, along with freshly baked pastries, bread, and desserts. Along with this, there were salsas and various dips available at the booths.
Not only are food items available, but there are also various handmade arts and crafts on display. Artisanal goods: local artists and craftspeople offer various things, from pottery and jewelry to hand-sewn clothing and accessories. There were also homemade products for the workshops, home, and body, such as soaps, lotions, candles, and other natural products.
Throughout the operation of the market, there were festive seasons around the market and a variety of special events and activities. People can enjoy live music, educational workshops, and seasonal celebrations like pumpkin carving and holiday markets.
Conclusion
Therefore, the Iowa City Farmers Market has a lot to offer and enjoy. a must-visit place on weekends to grab fresh farm produce to craft homemade things for body and home. a a delightful place to spend your day.

"Let us not forget that the cultivation of the earth is the most important labor of man. When tillage begins, other arts follow. The farmers, therefore, are the founders of human civilization.”

Checked out the @diasporaco pop up and got to taste a variety of spice mixes plus homemade chai and a biscotti made by @lpelican all of which were delicious. If only coffee shops served this chai. I loved being able to try more of Sana’s products as I’m always hesitant to buy before sampling, both because I’m indecisive and I can overbuy. Bonus, got to see in person @eastforkpottery for the first time. @makeendsmeat #spices #chai #fairtrade #directsourcing #supportfarmers #ceramics #pottery (at Counter Culture Coffee Training Center NYC) https://www.instagram.com/p/ClwMCdnOfs8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
