Only very technically in time for valentines day, have some Kara/Lucy/Lena OT3 sleeping headcanons.

Kara is a giant cuddly mess at night (and the rest of the time too). She has so many fuzzy pastel pajama sets with cute little baby chicks on them and she never ever matches top to bottom. Her hair gets everywhere and she drools a bit. SHe is so warm and soft and is the pillar of cuddling, awake and asleep.

Lucy Lane has a tendency to curl into the absolute tiniest ball and make pained faces while she sleeps, which Kara finds a little distressing. Early on she woke Lucy up frequently thinking she was having nightmares but no. That is just Lucy’s sleeping face. Lucy has managed to find a set of old man satin pajamas in army green and wears them every night. She has a tendency to grab hard at her partners’ pajamas in her sleep, and occasionally they will just take of their shirt or pants off rather than try and break her grip if they need to pee in the middle of the night.

Lena sleeps like a goddamn supermodel and her hair is alarmingly perfect all through the night (Kara and Lucy eventually kind of figure out why when they notice that on the rare occasion she gets mussed during sleep she has a bit of a freakout when she notices - she was expected to be perfectly presentable even in the middle of the night growing up). She has some chic flowy thing for pajamas that probably costs more that Kara and Lucy’s entire wardrobes. (Kara worries about ruining them by drooling on them during the night - “don’t worry, sweetheart, that’s what dry cleaners are for” “lena, what if I have. like. super-spit. what if my spit is bulletproof” “then I’ll develop kryptonite cleaning solution. and in the meantime my pajamas will be well protected against bullets”)

They most often sleep in Lena’s bed because it’s biggest, although Kara’s is comfier. Between there being three of them and the fact that Kara gives off heat like a furnace, they run pretty hot and often kick off any blankets that they started with.

Captain! Omg your asks are open. Imagine: high school au superlane (my guilty pleasure otp) where Kara is the messy artsy type and Lucy is in all AP classes, coffee shop meet cute. (And if you choose to see this as a prompt... 👀👀) Love you cap :)

“Kar, hold up,” Maggie grins as her girlfriend’s kid sister speed walks down the hall, a stack of books threatening to tumble out of her arms at any moment.

Kara stops eagerly, eyebrows raised if not slightly breathless. Maggie raises the sleeve of her flannel to Kara’s nose, winking as she rubs off a spot of green paint before stepping back to evaluate her work.

“Okay, you’re de-painted. Go,” she nudges, and Kara throws a thank you over her shoulder as she rushes to get to AP English before the last bell.

She doesn’t notice, as she slips into her seat, that Lucy Lane – a self-identified military brat with crisp eyes and an even crisper grade point average – is staring at her, eyes drifting up and down her body like she’s one of the paintings she was just working on.

James leans over to prod his ex girlfriend gently with the tip of his erasable pen. “Ask her out, Lane,” he whispers, his eyes sparkling. “I asked Winn out. It worked for me.”

“Why are we like this?” Lucy slumps over in her chair dramatically, turning away from Kara dramatically. “You and me?”

James cocks his head in amused confusion and waits for her to elaborate.

She glances around to make sure they aren’t being overheard before she tilts even closer to James, whisper-shouting, “Your boyfriend is a computer geek and I’ve got a helpless crush on an art nerd!”

James pffts in mock offense, gesturing to the ever-present camera in his bag. “I’m an art nerd!”

Lucy swallows a smirk as she pretends to think about it. “Is photography really art though?”

“This is why we broke up,” James jokes, but they both jump before Lucy can come up with a retort, because Mr. J’onzz has somehow called the attention of the entire class right to them.

“Mr. Olsen. Ms. Lane. Would you like us to wait to begin class for you to finish your discussion?”

“Well, actually, Mr. J’onzz, that would be – “

“Not necessary, sir,” James elbows Lucy. Both of them are too young to understand the affection in Mr. J’onzz’s curt nod as he begins class.

Lucy’s eyes burn into her desk, hoping Kara didn’t overheard any of their conversation, but also, maybe, hoping she did.

She can’t get James’s advice out of her head all day.

To just ask Kara out.

Like it’s that simple.

And maybe it is.

But there’s homework and there’s her grades and there’s…

She shakes her head, tapping her highlighter irritably on the pages of her AP World study guide, sighing loudly, grateful that she chose the coffee shop near school to study in instead of the library.

She’d been able to date James without a problem to her grades. Why not Kara?

“Excuse me,” a small voice jolts her out of her thoughts. A small voice that she knows very, very well.

Her stomach does a backflip.

She looks up into endless eyes. Eyes that she can never decide whether they’re blue or green, but god, she’d love to find out.

“Sorry, I must be really annoying,” she stammers with a small laugh, looking up at Kara and hoping the burning in her cheeks doesn’t show. She gestures with her highlighter, giving another awkward chuckle. “It’s a nervous habit. I’ll stop.”

But Kara just shakes her head and adjusts her glasses, paper cup of tea in her hand. Lucy vaguely wonders how it’s not burning her skin, because she hasn’t put a sleeve on it.

“No, I’m sorry, I… I didn’t mean that you were being annoying. I just meant… you didn’t seem to realize you were getting yellow marks all over your page.” She adjusts her glasses again, and Lucy is utterly entranced.

“I paint,” she continues, shifting on her feet like it’s a guilty pleasure rather than a wild, brilliant talent. “So I guess I’m sensitive to color placement or something. I just wanted to make sure you weren’t going to mess up your book. Unless you like it like that. There’s definitely a charm to it,” Kara tilts her head at Lucy’s study guide, and her sudden proximity sets Lucy’s skin on fire.

Their eyes meet just above Lucy’s shoulder, and Kara bites her lip as she adjusts her glasses again. “Aaand, now I’m rambling. I’m sorry,” she rushes to move to claim her own table, but Lucy stands abruptly.

Stands, to pull out her table’s spare seat for Kara, but instead of smoothly offering her a space to study, she spills Kara’s tea all down her sweater.

Lucy curses loudly as Kara hisses before assuring Lucy that she’s fine, she’s fine, she really doesn’t have to worry, really.

“No, I just was trying to offer you a seat, I – shit, Kara, I’m – “

“Wait,” Kara freezes, even with Lucy’s now napkin-filled hand awkwardly padding tea off her sweater, “You… know my name?” She wipes absently, not at the tea stain on her shirt, but on the spot on her nose where Maggie had noticed paint earlier, like she’s suddenly extra conscious of how she looks.

Hope suddenly flutters in Lucy’s heart.

“Of course I do.”

“And you’re Lucy Lane,” Kara says, and it’s a simple statement, but their eyes are locked so intensely, now, that Lucy feels like her feet might just lift off the ground.

“Guilty as charged,” Lucy offers her a twisted grin.

“You’re in all AP classes,” Kara’s nearly whispering now.

“And you always have paint on your fingers because you create the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.” She leaves out the part about how the girl, herself, is the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen, but Kara seems to read it in her eyes anyway, because she blushes a deeper red than Lucy knew it was possible for someone to blush.

“Want to study with me?” Lucy clears her throat, and Kara nods eagerly.

“Yes, please,” she smiles.

Somehow, Lucy refrains from whooping, but god, does she feel like it.

Character I love but everyone else hates: Maxwell Lord ( I love a well written villain and he was fun. I love how he’s like an evil Tony Stark.)

Character I used to love but don’t any longer: Winn (Loved him when I first watched the show and then just slowly started to hate him when I rewatched the show and saw how douchey he really was especially when even my male friends point out that what he does to Kara in season one is bs.)
