Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Dimps will release a major free update for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on October 12, followed by new downloadable content and PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions in 2024, the companies announced.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam. It first launched on November 2, 2016 and will celebrate its seventh anniversary this year.

What do you think of MasakoX's What If Bulma Trained Like Goku?

Never saw it other than the thumbnails. So I dont know what its about. But Bulma training like Goku? She would have to learn martial arts. Cause even if she mad battle armor, she would need to know how to fight. The battle armor is essentially the same as Cyborg 17 & 18 except their enhancements are like internal battle armor while Bulma can remove her armor (& would be weaker). But like I said, Bulma would need to learn martial arts because from what I can tell, 17 & 18 fighting styles "installed" in their brains.

There were a lot of asks like this one, so imma answer them all in this post. And for most of these I either never saw or I only saw a few. So I will give quick scenarios of how I think they would end. So, you'll kinda get quick what-if stories from me.

Saw some of it. Felt like Broly was infantized in a way. Doesnt match up with Z Broly at all to me. Not very interesting, so I stopped watching it.

I dont think I saw it. But if he was, then he would be too weak to defeat Freeza if he became a SSJ before the Saiyan Saga.

If Vegeta became a SSJ on Namek, then he may kill Freeza, but Vegeta likes to gloat, so... Freeza may have ended up killing Vegeta either by the planet exploding or by a sneak attack. We saw what happened when Vegeta defeated Freeza in RoF.

And Vegeta was less arrogant in DBS. So DBZ Vegeta would have definetly gloated too much and would likely get himself killed. Then Freeza would recover and hunt down the rest of the Saiyans on Earth.

Never saw it. Would be lame to me tho if they stayed fused forever.

However, Toriyama would figure out a way to defuse them somehow. Likely from a wish from the Namekian Dragon Balls to defuse them (like how Supreme Kai & Kibito defused). So, after Vegito enters inside Super Buu, frees Piccolo & the kids, then defeats Kid Buu with his own might, the 3 wishes would be...

#1: Restore Earth from its damaged state.

#2: Bring those killed by Babidi and his minions back to life.

#3: Defuse Vegito.

I would prefer something like that. Then, the series continues on as normal until the Goku Black/Future Trunks Saga of DBS. Then Vegito would probably be in the Tournament of Power (would need another team member). According to DBFZ, Vegito & Gogeta's power is about equal to Jiren's full power (not his awakened state). So a Vegito vs Jiren battle would happen early and other opponents would be eliminated during their intense battle.

Depending on if Vegito could use UI or not due to the Vegeta half, Vegito may defeat Jiren. Or Jiren may awaken while Vegito doesn't awaken & Vegito loses. Maybe the Potara Earrings break and they defuse. Could go either way.

Never saw it. But if Freeza saw Vegeta's potential, I'm pretty sure Freeza would kill him. He kept the strongest of different alien races as trophies in a way. He kept Vegeta around while noticing his potential anyways, so the premise for this what-if is already in the series. Freeza always recognized Vegeta's potential.

But if Vegeta was seen as an actual threat to Freeza, Freeza would eliminate him just like he did with the rest of the Saiyans because he saw them teaming up against him as a threat. A very short story. And a very short story for Vegeta.

I think I saw maybe only 4 videos. From what I remember, MasakoX kinda changed how Z Bardock was. I could be wrong. And I think he made Bardock & King Vegeta team up? And the Saiyans defeated Freeza? Can't remember.

But if Bardock did convince the other Saiyans, Freeza could still easily kill the Saiyans. He effortlessly destroyed Planet Vegeta while in his first form in the original story. Saiyans pushing back against him would just result in Freeza using more power to finish them off. Back to the normal canon. Nothing changed except Freeza would be more paranoid and probably kill kid Vegeta, Nappa, & kid Raditz.

Now it's a story where there is no Saiyan Saga. THAT would be interesting to explore. How does Goku and the others find out about Freeza? Is it from Jaco? What happens after the Z Warriors (& Piccolo) train to face an enemy like Freeza? Do they all go to Namek? Gohan would probably not be there with them. Goku would lose some friends then turn SSJ. Afterwards we have a Cell & Buu Saga without Vegeta screwing everything up. DBS would be very different tho.

A two-for-one, eh?

Saw very little of the Freeza & Gero one. Interesting concept. Don't know how it ended or if it ended. I imagine it would have a lot of betrayal. Maybe even end up having Cell need to absorb Freeza to be perfect. Idk.

Broly as an android? Never saw it. But in my mind, Broly would have to be suppressed through science. Greatly suppressed so that he doesn't get out of hand. And then once he breaks the mind control mechanism or deactivation remote, we essentially get the part of the 1st Z Broly movie where the Z Fighters have to work together to defeat Broly. Except now he's on Earth, the human Z Warriors would pitch in, & Gohan would probably have to turn SSJ2. Maybe Goku dies while fighting Broly & that makes Gohan snap. Then Amdroid Broly is killed by the Father-Son Kamehameha.

Back To The Future Part 2 vibes. Incest vibes. Kinda weird having an OP character in the past and he has to pretend to be weak the entire time. Doesn't feel like there are any stakes. One Punch Man is similar due to Saitama being OP, but they make the boring idea work with comedy and get you invested in other characters.

I just feel like if Trunks accidentally went that far back, his first priority would be to make sure everyone stays alive. Second priority would be that when Goku attacks the Red Ribbon Army base, Trunks would hunt down Gero & kill him. Mission accomplished. He now tried to return to his timeline.

Also back to the incest thing... Bulma has shown attraction for Trunks in official material. Breakers to be specific. So, its kinda accurate there. She'd do it if she didn't know. But Trunks? Nah. Seems out of character. I don't remember but I think MasakoX had Trunks kinda attracted to her until she said what her name was. I know its a Back To The Future Part 2 reference, but I think Trunks would know what his mom would look and sound like immediately even when she was 16. Bulma's look is easily identifiable. So that part was just an unnecessary reference that made Trunks out of character.

Saw some of it. If my memory is correct, I thought it was pretty good.

I can't remember, but I don't think I liked it. That kind of power does make sense for someone like Gohan, but I don't think I liked the way it was implemented.

Didn't watch it. Didn't care for the name. Never like that "So-and-so Did Nothing Wrong" thing. So it didn't interest me. Plus... Zamasu did everything wrong.

Never saw it. But I would imagine it would play out with King Vegeta seeing his fate at the hands of Freeza, try to fight against it, then die to Freeza regardless of what he did just like Bardock how couldn't change his fate. He was cursed with knowing a future he couldn't prevent.

Saw a few minutes. Wasn't with it. Goku would have destroyed a lot. Only someone like Grampa Gohan could fight with him and be alright.

The people at Capsule Corp. would be wiped out & Goku would turn into an Oozaru. Then Bulma would probably be on the hunt for the Dragon Balls to wish her family and others back and find a way to kill that giant ape.

Goku falling on his head and being nursed back to health & being taught kindness by Grampa Gohan changed him.

That not happening would result in Goku's Saiyan nature causing him to wreck havoc.

Didn't see it. Never liked that ship. Toroyama didn't choose that for good reasons. Seemed too obvious that the male & female lead would get together, plus they aren't compatible. Bulma was most compatible with Yamcha, but she argued too much for no reason and ruined that romance then got stuck with someone who was worse.

If she was with Goku, Bulma would complain almost as much as she does with Vegeta. She complained about Yamcha training too much and Goku trained even more. She wouldn't be happy. She would likely divorce him/separate from him. I believe the only reason Bulma didnt separate from Vegeta was because Vegeta is the kind of guy that would stay and threaten you if you try to kick him out. Goku wouldn't. He would just want to see his son regularly.

Saw some of it. Seems like Freeza was almost a different character. But it wasn't bad. Maybe Freeza turned good too quickly tho.

Never saw it. If Freeza betrayed then but they were saved by the Z Fighters, then I can see them turning good.

Just a suggestion, but next time tell me if you like those what-if stories when you ask these questions. I don't really watch MasakoX's what-if videos anymore, so knowing your thoughts would be interesting.

Dragon Ball Super vs. Dragon Ball GT: Which series was stronger?

Well, with that title, I guess this doesn't really need an introduction, but I'll give one anyway. This debate has been raging among fans since the debut of Super Saiyan God in Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods all the way back in 2013. It's been a hard debate for both sides, trying to find evidence to support their side on the matter. Today, I'll be throwing my own hat into the ring and attempt to put some evidence out there for whoever is having this argument themselves. First, I'll be breaking down some feats for each, then stating my opinion from those feats. I hope I don't piss anyone off too bad...

Dragon Ball GT:

Alright, I'm gonna start off all the way at the end for GT, and state some feats for it's strongest villain, Omega Shenron. Omega Shenron stated that he was going to destroy the universe over time with his Negative Karma. Presumably, this means Universe 7, but that's debatable because the 12 universes weren't conceptualized at that time. If this is true, then the highest we can place Omega Shenron is Universe level. He was literally going to destroy the universe over an amount of time. But, there is one character stronger than him, that being Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta. Gogeta was, bare minimum, 2x as strong as Omega Shenron, and I'd estimate it's a few times higher. This would put Gogeta in the same tier as Omega Shenron, just in a higher order. Now, I'll be moving on to Super.

Dragon Ball Super:

Alright, for Super, I'll start off by using the very beginning, that being Super Saiyan God Goku. Goku, in his fight with a nowhere-near-full-power-Beerus (It was definitely lower than 70%. I may make a post about that in the future.), Goku was going to rip the entire universe apart in his fight. Now, while this is also a Universal feat, it would have happened in a much shorter time frame.

The Verdict:

While both are Universe destroyers, Goku was going going to destroy it much faster, making SSG Goku stronger than Omega Shenron and, in my opinion, also SS4 Gogeta. The second one isn't by a massive amount, I'd say SS4 Gogeta is more than half of SSG Goku's power, but still not quite that strong. And Goku's power only increases from here. Super Saiyan Blue is the Super Saiyan version of Super Saiyan God, logically making it 50x stronger (x50 is the base multiplier for Super Saiyan). The way I see it, there is no way SS4 Gogeta is 50x stronger than Super Saiyan God Goku. And even if he was, he couldn't compete with SSB Kaio-Ken x20, or Ultra Instinct.

So, in conclusion, I think that Dragon Ball Super far outclasses GT. Godly Ki is just absurdly overpowered, and the transformations and enemies far outclass the one's showcased in GT. However, the characters from Dragon Ball Heroes are another story. I might make a post about that depending on how I feel about it, and the amount of attention this one gets. ooooh ive been waiting for this one. We watched this together on discord so you know my general feelings but Im happy i got this ask lol.

The new movie that everyone seems to love and adore.... that I dont. It was a pretty middle of the ground, meh overrated af movie. Not bad, just nothing special. I enjoyed watching it sure, but not something I have an inkling to return to anytime soon if ever. It was just ‘there’ for me. 

First, I’ll say the good stuff. The visuals looked really pretty. Nobody was THAT out of character of the existing cast (save for the ending), which i feel weird to have to even mention it as a positive, but nothing really stood out to me as a defining moment for the little cast we had besides Goku’s “youre not a bad guy, i can tell” or w/e. SUPER SAIYAN 1 IS STILL GOAT. It looked soooo good in this movie i wish we couldve kept it the whole time instead of Blue. But i will say, Blue looked much better in this movie than the series. The darker-blue with the lighter blue eyes was a nice change from instead of the ugly bluish-green the series did. Also the aura looked better. Backgrounds like the ice area and even Planet Vegeta were amazing. Action was great too. little Bulla was cute. The OST i liked (the chanting really grew on me) and Blizzard is a banger i love that song. Oh and the aritisic license they took for the fusion scene with the reds and blues spiraling together was great

Anyway thats all the positives I have lmaoo

This film includes Minus and I already went in depth on why I hate Minus with a passion and why it’s the worst thing to come out of modern Dragon so yeah moving on. But the fact that they devoted screentime to Gokus backstory which ultimately served no purpose to the story of the film and couldve been used more valuably elsewhere. 

I said the action was good, and it was, but it almost too good. At times it was so fast to tell that was going on and really lessened the impact for me. Like when they went into the other dimension or whatever, Gogeta went blue and Broly went LSSJ (idc if the name is different name, itll always be legendary SSJ to me lmao) so ast it was a blink and you miss it moment. like what? those moments shouldve been given even a little bit of focus. 

Next the cast. Goku and Vegeta. AGAIN. snorefest. no Gohan, Piccolo is just there to show them the fusion, Goten and Trunks are still kids and look like babies (and Pilaf gang is with them which is another can of worms), no Android 17, who the series established as one of the top 4 fighters on Earth. 

Do we get any of that? Nope. Just the two Blue and Bluer fucking again and again I. dont. care. anymore. Their dynamic is so boring and played out id rather watch paint dry. It was fun in Buu Saga, hell it was even fun in GT, but DBS constantly forcing this dynamic and Vegeta as the second Main Character needs to fucking STOOOP. Toei and Toriyama has no idea how to further Vegeta’s character because theyre stuck in this infinite loop. 

Vegeta doesnt want to help Goku, he mentions Bulma and/or Trunks, Vegeta blushes, and then he decides to help. THAT HAPPENED LIKE SIX TIMES IN DBS ALONE. It happened in Buu saga as well, but it organically worked cause it was the first time but Bulma and Trunks were ALREADY DEAD/ABSORBED. The look on his face wasnt blushy or pouting for a gag, dude was legit shocked. I rag on Vegeta but he had some legit great moments in the early arcs and later parts of Buu Saga. Anyway im off track. They repeat that same exact character moment OVER AND OVER. cant tell you how many times we had “my Bulma, my bulla, my Trunks, my cabba” in the Tournament of Power alone, and this movie is no different.

DO SOMETHING ELSE FFS

Then we have Broly. ohhhhhh boooy Broly. if you can even call this version of him Broly. His backstory is kinda the same as original movie 8/Broly LSSJ, but its more tragic becuase according to most fans, if youre background is a sobstory, that equals better character. NO. sure it could, but that trope was so worn out so long ago I hate it. “waaa his life was bad, hes not a bad guy” bruh i dont care thats not Broly. just make an OC if you wanna do that. but nope. gotta use the marketing! (More on that later)

People like to criticize Z Broly as “he hates Goku cause he cried” or “all he says is Kakarot” which both are false. On the first point, Broly is a psychopath. He was stabbed as an infant and left to die along with Paragus cause he was too powerful. Then that same day Planet Vegeta explodes practically on top of them. The rest of his life hes basically either being controlled or on a rampage. So that one moment of peace is “ruined” by Goku in a sense cause he subconsciously associates that with Goku. On the second point, Broly was already mentally unstable and then nearly dying, getting caught in the explosion of a SECOND PLANET and then being frozen for seven years will fuck anyone up in the head. Z Broly in the original movie was sadistic af and he had a lot of memorable moments and lines that werent just screaming Kakarot, that Second Coming made him infamous for. 

New Broly is legit a man-baby. People talk about old Broly having no personality and this new version having a deep character, but I dont see it. He acts like a child when hes with Cheelai and Lemo and then once the fighting starts he doesnt say a single word but yell. SOUND FAMILIAR?? But he gets a pass because the canon police says so right??? fuck off. New Broly is boring. Im tired of trying to make the Saiyans into ThEyRe noT aLl BaD sEe The SaIyAns ArE AcTuAlLy GoOd!!!11111 ugh i hate it. keep Broly a psycho and keep Bardock a prick. even that guy that went with Buzz Lightyear I mean Paragus was a sweet guy who couldnt fight because of course he was. At least they kept Paragus being a prick when he killed him. Tho his death was lame. 

Cheelai’s overrated af. Shes just green bulma lmao. and the fact that they included the “big soft-spoken man gets mad and saves girl from drunk lowkey-rapey pervert” trope just had me roll my eyes like dude stop. Lemo was fine? Nothing against him but didnt do much for me either.

FUCK. FREEZA. i went over this one before too so ill be quick with this as well. I hate hate hate the fact that they brought him back not once but twice in DBS, but even worse that they left him alive to do whatever tf he wants including going back to mass murdering people and expanding his army again. Goku and Vegeta just LET HIM LIVE. Why tf did they go all out and attack Broly, but not Freeza? when one of them was fighting Broly th other easily could have taken out freeza but nope we need a token villain like Joker or Skeletor cause unoriginality. Even at the end, Gogeta does a full power blast to wipe Broly tf out, but when Freeza tries to kill Cheelai and Lemo (two innocent people, feelings on them aside) Gogeta basically just shakes his finger like nuh-uh! dont do that! and then he flies off. Just let this mfer die already im sick of seeing his ass. FUCK I HATE IT SO MUCH GFGFFGFGFGF

Lastly this movie is legitimately Dragon Ball Fanservice The Movie. 

Gogeta vs Broly, which the games have been doing since fucking 2003, is the main point of this film. Theres no originality whatsoever. Minus is discount Father of Goku special, and then its a mashup of Broly LSSJ and Fusion Reborn (both of which are superior movies imo). This creatively banrkupt shell of a franchise cant think of anything new, so they legit remake an old movie, through in fusions because that sells like hotcakes, and make the animation pretty because thats all that matters.

Imo, this movie, like 99% of Super, is all flash and flair but no substance at all. At least this movie looked nice. unlike the show.

Dragon Ball Z 273

Okay, so this episode kind of sucks.   At some point, I want to go back and put together a top ten worst Dragon Ball episodes list, because I think it’s kind of an interesting topic.   I dig this anime a lot, but out of 444 episodes, it stands to reason that some of them aren’t so hot.  

I don’t know if DBZ #273 necessarily makes the cut for worst ten, but it’s got some serious problems.  Chief among them, Majin Buu has defeated everyone, so he just sort of runs around on an empty planet with nothing to do.

Kibitoshin is upset, of course, because Vegito was doing so well, and then Buu absorbed him.  However, the Elder Kai notices that Buu hasn’t transformed after absorbing Vegito, so maybe there’s a glimmer of hope here.

As for Buu, he celebrates by flying into the nearest empty city and smashing up buildings and cars. 

Then he start bombarding the landscape with pink ki blasts, which... would be kind of scary or exciting, or something, if there were anyone left alive to care.  

The only people left on Earth are Mr. Satan and Dende, and they never interact with Buu in this episode.   Mr. Satan desperately pleads for Dende to do something, but he’s not a fighter, and it’s beyond his power.  

Meanwhile, Buu notices that he hasn’t changed after absorbing Vegito, but he doesn’t much care.   Maybe it’ll take longer, but even if he doesn’t gain any powe from the absorption, he’s still secured his place as the mightiest in the universe.

Then he rips off his shirt and tosses it away.   I always wondered about this, because I assume his clothes are made up of his flesh, which is how he’s able to regenerate them along with the rest of his body.   Maybe he transmutes some of his body into clothes when he does that?   I’m just wondering why the shirt didn’t grow a new Super Buu after they finally beat this guy.

All Super Buu seems to care about is becoming the strongest in the universe, so that no one can stop him from enjoying the death and suffering of other beings.  I get the impression that these are Majin Buu’s two principle directives.  Be stronger than everyone else, and kill everyone and everything he can find.  The different forms and personalities of Buu may vary in priorities, but everything seems to come back to those two things.   Fat Buu tried to give up killing people, and that’s why he turned into Super Buu.    His violent nature was re-asserting itself against his newfound conscience.

Meanwhile, Vegito is inside Buu’s body.   The Kais are delighted to discover this, because it means that he tricked Buu into absorbing him on purpose.  Somehow, Vegito’s ki barrier protected him from the absorption process, but it still allowed him to be drawn into Buu’s body.   It also shrank him down, but he’s still alive and able to act upon Buu from within. 

Vegito’s plan is to search for Piccolo and his children, and remove them from Buu’s system.   I don’t understand why he would go to such lengths, though.   Would it not be simpler to just kill Super Buu, along with all the people he absorbed, and then wish Piccolo and the boys back to life with the Dragon Balls?   Maybe he was worried that they wouldn’t be separated from Buu, even in death.

Anyway, the moment Vegito drops the barrier, he defuses into Goku and Vegeta.   Neither of them understand it, since the Potara Fusion was supposed to be permanent.  Goku suspects it might be because of the bad air in this place, but Dragon Ball Super established that Fusion by the Potara is only permanent when used by a Kai.   When mortals use them, it only lasts about an hour.  

I’m not wild about that explanation, but it fits the facts.  It doesn’t make a lot of sense for Buu’s body to undo fusions, since Gotenks was able to exist inside Buu for some time.   I don’t think the Vegito/Buu fight was supposed to have lasted a full hour, although that would be well within the runtime of Episodes 269-272.  And there’s precedent for very powerful fusions wearing off sooner than expected.   Super Saiyan 3 causes Gotenks to separate after about five minutes.     In Dragon Ball GT, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta separated after about ten.   In Super, Vegito Blue dissolved in about 15.    So maybe Super Saiyan Vegito took a toll on the Potara, and they just happened to give out at this moment.

On the other hand, the Elder Kai was fused with a mortal witch millions of years ago, and that fusion was quite permanent. Maybe it’s only temporary when both participants are mortals.   At any rate, there seems to be an effort in modern Dragon Ball lore to de-emphasize fusion an instant solution to beat powerful villains.     It was never easy to do in the first place, but the stronger you get, the shorter it lasts.  In Movie 14, Goku ruled out fusing with Vegeta to beat Beerus, because he didn’t think Gogeta would be strong enough to win, and it’s looking like Super Saiyan Gogeta is about as strong as a fusion can get before it becomes unstable. 

In any case, Vegeta is grateful to be done with fusion, and he crushes his earring to ensure that they won’t re-combine once they leave Buu’s body.    Goku is horrified by this, because the last thing they need to do is reduce their available options, but Vegeta would sooner die than accept any more fusion.

So Goku crushes his own earring in frustration.   Okay, now that I get a good look at it, I see that the Potara use a threaded clamp to attach to the ear.  I always wondered if Goku and Vegeta had to pierce their own ears right then and there to use these things. 

So this is the start of the final leg of the Fusion Saga, which is just Goku and Vegeta trying to make their way through Buu’s interior.   The next three episodes are pretty good, but this one doesn’t offer nearly as much.   After a few minutes of walking, they step into some quicksand-like surface and get pulled down....

... into what passes for Buu’s stomach.    There, they find giant cakes and eclairs that Buu has eaten recently.   Also, that orange liquid is his digestive fluid.  I’ve never understood how Majin Buu could even have discrete organs like this, since his body is constantly getting shorn apart and rearranged.  Maybe this internal structure exists in another dimension.  

Anyway, they climb up on a candy bar or something, and then they drift towards a whirlpool, which I guess leads to the rest of Buu’s digestive tract.  For some reason, they seem to have forgotten that they can fly or jump.   At one point, they get surrounded by other food, and they act like this cuts off their only chance of escape.  

Then they fall back in the stomach acid, which burns their clothes but not their eyes...

And Vegeta finally blasts a hole in Buu’s stomach lining so they can escape.   Well why didn’t he just do that in the first place?

Outside, Buu feels a slight pain in his gut, and he wonders if he’s having indigestion from absorbing Vegito.

Inside, Goku complains that Vegeta may have given their presence away with that stunt.  Vegeta doesn’t care, since the alternative was to get digested.  

Then they wander around for a while.   So if they’re out of his stomach, why is all this cake here?   Anyway, Goku warns that if Buu eats nothing but sweets, he’ll get fat, which is dumb, because Buu was fat, and now he’s pretty lean. 

Then all these green blobs show up, which I guess are some sort of digestive organelles, and they burn Goku like the stomach acid did. 

They try to fight the things, but Goku gets swarmed and they somehow immobilize him.

Then this thing shows up.

Vegeta doesn’t help him, he just shouts instructions from the sidelines.   What a trooper.

This right here is dumb.   Goku could shake these green things off in like two seconds, if he wanted to, but we’re supposed to think this is a cliffhanger? 

So yeah, not a good episode.

So this happened yesterday!  Season 2 DLC Fighters!

Here’s what I have to say about it... and then just for fun also put in my guesses for possible future characters!

Jiren. Not surprised WHATSOEVER.  Don’t get me wrong, I think I feel like a lot of people did.  Jiren is kinda boring, and unfortunately his attacks and animations all look rather boring and awkward too!  Even his character model seems a bit awkward with his giant torso and tiny waist! But... he was the big enemy of the Tournament of Power arc, I had no doubt he was going to be one of these DLC characters.  Being the “villain” of an arc pretty much guarantees you’ll be in a game I think.

Videl (And Great Saiyaman).  This one surprised me!  But the best kind of surprise!  I don’t know what to say other than I’m excited for this one.  We get Videl, and as a bonus they threw in the greatest hero to ever grace Dragon Ball!

DB Super - Broly & Blue Gogeta.  Not all that surprising either, the movie has been very popular!  That Broly might be in base form (or maybe Wrathful?) from the looks of it seems pretty neat, I suspect he will have a Bardock-esque transformation in one of his combos, or maybe even a Golden Frieza sort of time-limited power up.  (now we just need Bio-Broly so we can have a full Broly team!)

My DLC Character Predictions!

Here’s the part I really made this for (and the more fun part) my predictions of what characters might show up next!  Jiren was something I assumed would happen before, and Great Saiyaman was originally a joke prediction for me!  So here’s some more, divided into sections.  It looks like there’s still 2 more characters left, so maybe one or two of these will be them!

1. Main Series Serious Predictions. Kefla. Caulifla and Kale are both fairly popular characters (as far as I understand), but it’s their fusion that really showed off some unique abilities in the anime’s Tournament of Power arc.  Plus we kinda get two characters in one here, and it would be nice to get another female fighter on the roster (then with Videl we’d be up to 4 out of... 38?). Super Saiyan God Goku/Vegeta.  I’m not really hoping for this one but... I wouldn’t put it past them I guess?  I mean, probably not after they already introduced base Goku and Vegeta, I just see it as possible that they might be the remaining two fighters.

2. Movie Character Predictions Super Janemba. This is really the only remaining movie character I think that’s popular enough to have a chance at being in the game (and joining Broly and Cooler).  He has a unique look, fun unique techniques.  It’d most likely be him.  (Turles I would say is next most likely, and then Lord Slug.  Base Janemba, Doctor Wheelo, and Hirudegarn would all be too large!  And I love some Garlic Jr but I don’t think any one else would really be asking for him!)

3. GT Character Predictions (If they gave us movie characters, I don’t see why we don’t have a chance at seeing some of these.) Super Saiyan 4 Goku/Vegeta.  The obvious one!  Even people I know that really don’t like GT at least still really like these transformations!  Plus like with the God Forms I don’t think it’s that unlikely they’d push even more Gokus and Vegetas on us! Anyone Else from GT.  ...seems unlikely.  Maybe Omega Shenron or SSJ4 Gogeta?  But I doubt it.  (I don’t see Super 17 or Baby Vegeta showing up.  I like Nuova Shenron but he’d never be first choice next to Omega.)

4. Joke Character Predictions (I say joke because it’d be silly, like Piranha Plant, but I’d still find it really fun to have these characters!) Master Roshi.  ...Actually this one’s barely a joke character.  Master Roshi kicked butt in Resurrection F and Tournament of Power!  Bring on the Turtle Hermit! Arale.  I have nothing much to say here, it would be funny!

Dragon Ball Super Broly Movie Review, How it should’ve been & Future Possibilities

DBS Broly movie resonates very closely & similarly with Android saga and Majin Buu saga, where the old guy in the room (Dr. Gero, Babidi, Paragus) gets killed one way or another and his not so innocent descendant/creation (Android 17, Buu, Broly) wreaks havoc only to be done with a miraculous climax by some saviours.

To be honest, it would have been great if there was an extended version of Bardock vs. Frieza fight scene & including murder of King Vegeta. They also skipped Beerus ordering Frieza to destroy planet Vegeta which was a disappointment. If that was the case, the plothole could've been probably solved in this movie and we could’ve got a Beerus vs. Broly showdown! It’s sad that Beerus was left out of the battle. Broly’s innocent persona is what makes him a different Saiyan than the rest of his kind, even with his father Paragus’s schemes. Gogeta was shown OP & savage than his uncanon SS4 counterpart.

It is remarkably weird that the introduction of a new non-Super Saiyan transformation, i.e. the Ikari or Wrathful form of Broly which utilizes the power of the Great Ape Oozaru by retaining humanoid form (even without the tail) exhibiting the true wrath of a Saiyajin, is shown to be stronger than Super Saiyan God form & on par with the Super Saiyan Blue. Maybe the training in the harsh atmosphere, ambience & savage beings & environment of the planetoid Vampa played a role in this, maybe with Broly being a lucky, one of a kind, Legendary Saiyan with untapped battle power. It’s funny how no one unlocked it in the history of DBZ, DBS. Maybe that’s what Gohan tried & wanted to achieve, an ultimate form without transforming into a Super Saiyan! But now we have some good possibilities based on this. In the future of the series, if Broly learns to control this Wrathful transformation (like Kale managed to do), and if he can combine it with both Super Saiyan & God-ki, that can be prove to be as strong as the Master Ultra Instinct or maybe Ultra Instinct Omen or Super Saiyan Blue Evolution at least. (depending how strong the future villain of the anime would be!)

Some animations were completely bizarre and weird, while some were very detailed. The plot of having revenge on Vegeta went off the rails midway into the fight as everyone realized Broly’s not in control. Gogeta should've used Big Bang Kamehameha instead of the God Kamehameha in the final climatic showdown. On a side note, I would’ve preferred Frieza reviving & training Cell to be stronger as his right hand man instead of that stupid wish to get taller by 5cms! Blizzard was lit AF to listen, both Japanese & English versions by Daichi Miura. Let's hope we see everything rectified in the DBS anime episodes in future.

This movie got somewhat spoilt already with the news of Toei re-releasing three old uncanon DBZ movies. They basically combined those 3 movies to form a great canon one. The plot could’ve been a little better and not had rushed at the same time by involving Gohan, Goten & Trunks in an active role instead of sidelining them.

One major thing which was rectified from the previous Broly movies was that he never called Goku for blood & not yelling ‘Kakarott’ every damn time. I think we get the difference between the two now. The earlier uncanon Broly was plain PTSD sadist psycho monster whose power level seems justified now. While the new enhanced canon Broly was innocent & full of potential and his whole wild life on Vampa not to forget. The rage which set him off to become a Super Saiyan was because of his father’s death. Either ways he can’t be controlled by the remote cause it got destroyed for good.

Frieza was once again left angry as a loser who's hell bent on taking his revenge on the Saiyans. Which leaves a few particular doors open for his brother Cooler to get canonized & team up with him next time. Abo & Cado make appearances as part of the Frieza Force & Tarble is once again referenced by Raditz. Imagine Abo & Cado troubling Tarble just for him coming down to Earth asking for help and Frieza scheming with his brother Cooler to strike back on Earth once again! This would be cool, making sense by canonizing both Tarble, Cooler/Meta Cooler by also combining the storylines of another 2-3 uncanon DBZ movies.

IMO they're bring these 4 Saiyans together to form unique fusions like Vegetarble (Vegeta + Tarble) and Karoly (Kakarott + Broly) some day hopefully. Giving Broly an Ikari or Wrathful transformation was really cool as a homage to the uncanon Super Saiyan 4 form from Dragon Ball GT. Let's hope he gets a new stronger form with God ki in the future.

But hey, remember the Old Kai saying he needs 25hrs to unlock Goku's hidden potential right before the Tournament of Power? And in the next movie we see Broly utilizing Oozaru's strength while retaining his humanoid form... Yeah maybe that's how Super Saiyan 4 will get canonized & maybe will get dubbed as a ‘Super Saiyan Ultra’ form which will combine Ikari/Wrathful with God ki/Ultra Instinct ki or both minus their tails maybe. Goosebumps right?

Mystery Super Technique SS3 Goku- UNTESTED

When SS3 Goku’s EZA comes around, this team should fairly easily be able to clear 30, all 7 units have Resurrected Warriors, 4 of them have type advantage and the other 3 won’t have their damage reduced against him. Metal Cooler will get Dokkan’d whenever I get around to it, not exactly a high-priority unit right now, since he’s mediocre at best. I don’t really any potential issues with this team, I’m interested in how far I could push it.

Super Warrior of Destruction Legendary Super Saiyan Broly- UNTESTED

Friend Leader- Leader double

Now that I actually have the applicable unit to use the medals from this on, I’m just waiting around to be able to get them all with this team. All 7 have Hybrid Saiyan and 5 have type advantage, while the remaining 2 don’t have their type damage reduced. Obviously Xeno Trunks needs his medals first, and I’ll be working on those shortly, since he’s actually not a bad unit overall. If I run into any trouble I’ll switching out LR Future Trunks for GT Trunks, but I’m hoping his LR stats will be enough to keep his spot on the team. I expect to be able to clear 30 with a little luck and a few tries, I should be fine.

Family Kamehameha- UNTESTED

Friend Leader-  Explosive Evolution Turles

I’m really not confident in this team’s ability to clear level 30 honestly, while it’s full Movie Boss, only 2 units have type advantage. 2 more won’t have their damage reduced, but the remaining 3 will, making them impractical at best. Fortunately, I don’t really care if I can’t clear 30 for this one, as none of the Family Kamehameha units are incredible. My personal prediction is like, 25 before I start losing a lot. Whoops.

Battle as a Namekian Piccolo- UNTESTED

I mean uh, it’s a team of TEQ units. They... do damage and whatnot. No Namekians on the team since their all pretty bad. I was on a bit of a break from Dokkan when this came around, so I missed it. Again, who cares.

Emperor's Devotion Frieza (Full Power)- Level 30 Cleared!

Friend Leader- Leader double

This was the first EZA I properly cleared, and it was a boozy. While my team wasn’t bad all around, only 2 units had Planet Namek Saga, making surviving a pretty RNG reliant task. Thankfully, all 7 units were strength so they had type advantage, but suitability was the main issue, with a bad rotation I was dead in a couple rounds easy at 28+. Gohan and Vegeta were the stars of this team by far, Gohan could tank and deal high damage, while Vegeta could counter  to keep pushing out damage. I actually managed to clear level 30 in one attempt, thanks to Vegeta’s Rage giving me the damage and time needed to him.

Ultimate Power Surge Ultimate Gohan- Level 30 Cleared!

Friend Leader- Leader double

Nothin’ to it, this team stomped Gohan pretty easily, if I remember correctly I cleared 30 in one try. All 7 have Majin Buu Saga and type advantage. Both LRs cleaned up completely, and all 3 Gotenks did solid damage as well. Overall, this is about as good as it gets for this event I’d say, no problem at all.

Surpassing All Perfect Cell- Level 30 Cleared!

If I ever see this EZA come up again, I will throw my phone away. This EZA made me stay up til 2 AM just throwing bodies at it until I got lucky. Sadly, only 3 units here have Future Saga, and thus the remaining units were severely hindered in usage. Gohan’s LR stats kept him on the team, while he couldn’t tank amazingly, his damage was still worth it. Gogeta was not so lucky, only on the team because there were no better options available to me. Interestingly, this team basically relies on LR Vegito Blue to tank and deal damage, the rest of the team is pretty supplementary with the exception of both LR Goku&Vegetas, who were able to tank and deal good damage thanks to their LR stats. I honestly can’t believe this team managed to clear 30, it was the result of lots of experimenting and way too much time.

Heartless Destruction Buu (Kid)

I think this team can... probably clear 30. My only main concern with it is damage output, while all units are Pure Saiyan, only 3 of them have type advantage, and SS3 Vegeta is their solely for his tanking. SSBE Vegeta doesn’t have his damage reduced thankfully, but both LR Bardock and LR SS3 Goku will, making them more useful for tanking than damage. Fortunately, I don’t actually have the Kid Buu these medals are for, so I’m not super upset that I might not be able to clear it.

Devastating Punishment Beerus

Friend Leader- Leader double

Now here’s an EZA I’ll be upset if I can’t clear, as I both have the Beerus in question, and his is one of the best EZAs around right now.All 7 units have Realm of Gods, and 6 of them get type advantage. Unfortunately, Vegito Blue doesn’t get type advantage, but he also doesn’t have his damage reduced, so his amazing kit is a perfect fit here anyways, and will be one of the 3 main sources of damage, along with both UI Gokus. I’m not 100% that I’ll be able to clear 30 with this team, but I’m fairly confident that with enough attemps I’ll scrape a win out of it, or I’ll die trying.

Warrior's True Value Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta

This one is uh, a SS3 team. Yeah. SS3 Vegeta does’t have extra damage reduction against any Super types, so just avoid PHY units and you’re all set. I’ll be pretty pissed if I can’t beat this one, not because I care about the medals, but because like, how could I NOT beat this one?

Netherworld Demon Super Janemba

Friend Leader- Leader double

I’m actually pretty unsure of how this EZA will go for me. While all 7 units have Fusion, only 4 have type advantage, 1 with no extra damage reduction, and 2 with the extra 80% damage reduction. SS4 Gogeta and Ghostenks are essentially around to take up a spot and dodge attacks when possible. If I can beat it, it’s going to be due to be because of LR Goku&Vegeta’s insane stats and kit doing the work of 3 units on it’s own. While I don’t have the Super Janemba these medals are for, but I’d love to horde them until I do, since it’s one of the best.

Saiyan Outcast Broly

Friend Leader- Either leader double, or  The Strongest Fusion Above All Super Saiyan Gogeta

The quest to make some F2P good is a harsh one, and I’m really hoping this team is enough to pull me through 30. Assuming a leader double, only 4 units will have Movie Heroes, but hopefully the type advantage of Vegito Blue is enough to make his damage good. On that line of thought, only 4 of the units have type advantage, but the remaining 3 don’t incur additional damage reduction thankfully. With some good luck, I think this team should be able to beat 30.

The Supreme Warrior Super Gogeta

I really, really hate that this is my best team for this EZA at the moment. It’s honestly a mess, and I really doubt I’ll be able to clear 30, but I’ll have to try until my hands fall off, because Gogeta’s EZA is easily the best one yet. While all 7 units have Movie Bosses, only 2 have type advantage, none are unaffected and the leftover 5 all do heavily reduced damage. Despite all that, I’m REALLY hoping I can beat 30 with some good luck and some helpful pulls, but we’ll have to see.

And that’s all of the (important) Extreme Z-Battle out right now, and my teams for them. Honestly there wasn’t much point in these, just thought it’d be fun to write up. Hope you guys enjoyed!

Dragonball GT is stupidly overpowered. (DBGT VS DBS)

I know a lot of Dragonball fans HATE GT, and I can see why, (it has A Lot of flaws), bored one night I decided to do some digging for some old Dragonball fights and found the gt gem of frieza and cell vs Goku. Goku is kicking the everloving crap out of them and hadn't even transformed into a super saiyan!

This got me thinking, How would GT Goku have faired against Beerus?

Now in GT both Frieza and Cell claim to have gotten stronger then they were in the past. Since this amount of power is unknown (and minuscule as it didn't really make goku fight them differently) I will compare them to Cell. Who at the time died after fighting super saiyan 2 gohan. I think it is agreeable that if Gohan was at full power, their epic beam struggle would not have been as close (since he was down an arm and had to compensate by blasting with everything he had.)

 But it is also stated by Vegeta in the majin buu saga that Gohan at super saiyan 2 was weaker then when he fought cell, implying that this super saiyan 2 was weaker then super perfect cell. So for the sake of argument and low balling.

Base form GT Goku > super Perfect cell = to a low powered super saiyan 2

Just to make complications easier Ill say Base form Goku is on par with a typical super saiyan 2 of Dragon ball z. As he fought both frieza and Cell without much difficulty (even though they couldn't be killed by normal means)

So what does this mean for DBS?

Well, lets take GT Goku again, and make him a super saiyan.

and the normal super saiyan multiplier is 50x.

GT goku would have been 50x stronger then his own super saiyan 2 transformation in super (give or take)

We know Vegeta (who in a bout of rage) made Beerus (the god of destruction) use 10% to fight him. Vegeta at super saiyan 2 surpassing Goku who fought Beerus at super saiyan 3.

The super saiyan 3 transformation canonically is 4x stronger then super saiyan 2.

Now this is where numbers get tricky and I might be slightly in accurate.

But by my estimations,

GT Goku would have been on par with Beerus using a full power super saiyan transformation

(my math actually has it where Goku would be stronger, but that would be assuming dbs Goku super saiyan 3 was = to super saiyan 2 rage vegeta)

But then, this is where things get ridiculous.

GT Goku has 3 other transformations.

In Super saiyan 2, he would be twice as strong as Beerus and based on the ratings that Toriyama gave (Super Saiyan god Goku is a 6, Beerus is a 10 and Whis a 15) He would be stronger then Whis.

Now I can hear you all like, (But Gale, you are power scaling and you are assuming that power is not on a Richter scale of power)

Well I can tell you it isn't.

In the Battle of Gods movie. Whis confirms that Beerus only used about 60% of his power against super saiyan god Goku. Which makes the 6 in Toriyama’s explanation be equal to 60% of Beerus’s power.

And next I can hear you shout (but Gale, that is because of god ki, super saiyan goku in GT doesn't have god ki and would get bodied)

Well my response to that is, Frieza (from DBS), Hit and Jiren.

All of them have not shown access to god ki and are able to fight on par with beings that do, such as Goku and Vegeta.

The later is even stated by his own universe god of destruction to be even stronger then him. So I state that goku doesn't need god ki to surpass Whis or Beerus.

At super saiyan 3 Goku would have been worlds above Beerus and Whis.

In terms of Ratings, Goku would be about 80 in comparison to Whis (15) and Beerus.(10)

And at super saiyan 4

(Zeno be damned) Super saiyan 4 Goku would be at 800 on that rating scale.

And GT Vegeta would be to.

Oh and get this

All of the notable villains in GT would probably be stronger then Beerus.

Baby vegeta, Super 17,  Eis, Nova, and Syn shenron.

And Don't get me started on Omega Shenron.

Since that f***er was fighting 2 super saiyan 4s, that power he has is intense.

And Calculating Gogeta st super saiyan four?!

Gogeta could sneeze and obliterate the multiverse.

For fun lets calculate how strong Super saiyan god and Super Saiyan blue would be on a GT goku.

Based on the multipliers.

super saiyan god goku is about 6x stronger then super saiyan 3

Possibly a bit more then that, but I am gonna say six.

On that scale Super saiyan god GT Goku would be about 480 on the scale, and his super saiyan blue would be about 640.

But now we include the kaio-ken.

which we know Goku uses a 10x kaio-ken in his super saiyan blue form.

so that form would be equal to 6400 on that little scale.

Unfortunately it is not possible to calculate how powerful ultra instinct would be. But we are well aware that the form is supposedly his most powerful form, so it would not be shocking based on the ridiculous scaling that has been done. That he would be at 10,000 on the scale (making GT Goku 1000x more powerful then beerus (this number however is still debatable as no multiplier has been established.)

(I am more then happy to make corrections should anyone want to point out evidence disproving my findings)

What sucks about Omega Shenron is that he's so lukewarm as a villain.   He's supposed to be the most powerful bad guy ever, but he mostly stands around gloating, and he's incapable of actually finishing anyone off.   All of the major Dragon Ball villains left a pretty heavy toll before they were finally beaten.  The only guy Omega manages to kill is his own teammate Nuova Shenron, and he has to do that twice.  He's immune to every attack, shrugging off the combined offense of two Super Saiyan 4's, and yet he kicks Mr. Satan in the gut without hurting him.  The result is a long, boring slog where neither side make any progress.   Now, by comparison, my favorite Dragon Ball villain is Cell.  Cell kills thousands of civilians to gather strength, and he cowardly flees the Z-fighers when they try to force a confrontation.  He can recover from injuries, but he still has to resort to guile in order to gain the upper hand.   He then absorbs the Androids to attain his final form, which carries dramatic weight because Krillin was in love with Android 18.  He then flaunts his superiority by holding a tournament, daring anyone to oppose him.    Goku is no match for Cell, but he still gets his licks in, and that's an important element for any domineering villain.  Cell mocks Gohan for challenging him next, and tortures the other good guys to amuse himself, and this backfires disastrously.  Gohan begins demolishing Cell, and suddenly he's reduced to a pathetic mess.  He miraculously survives a desperate suicide attack, but he overplays his hand, returning to the battlefield for one last attack, which Gohan manages to overcome.  While he's a dangerous and supremely powerful bad guy, Cell always managed to be just vulnerable enough to make you think the good guys had a chance.   Omega Shenron offers none of that.  When he absorbs all seven Dragon Balls he claims to have all the powers of the other Shadow Dragons, but so what?  He was kicking Goku's ass without any of that.  Besides, the other Shadow Dragons sucked.  Goku laughs off their powers, but Omega no-sells all of Goku's best moves, including the Super Dragon Fist (again).   Omega can just reassemble his body, so it's no use.  Goku decides the only course is to self-destruct while holding Omega's arms behind his back, but Vegeta shows up in the nick of time and convinces him that it won't work.   Omega then presses his advantage by standing perfectly fucking still and watching while Bulma drives a Blutz Wave Generator Truck onto the battlefield.   She fires it at Vegeta, who turns into a Great Ape.   Everyone worries that Vegeta will go on a rampage, except the fans, who remember that Vegeta could retain his intelligence while in Giant Ape form.   Vegeta goes on a rampage anyway, then reveals he was just playing a little joke.   This wouldn't annoy me so much except this entire process takes like a hundred years to get through.   Vegeta finally turns into a Super Saiyan 4, and Omega Shenron just takes it in like none of this matters.   After all that, Vegeta admits that his joining the battle will make little difference, and he suggests to Goku that they should use the Fusion Technique.   See, this is what pisses me off so much about Dragon Ball GT.   One of the few lasting concepts from the show that anyone cares about is the Super Saiyan 4 form.  It looks really stupid, but fans dig it anyway, if only because it's the ultimate power in the Dragon Ball franchise.   They put SSJ4 Goku on the cover of the DVD box set I bought.   But the dirty little secret of GT is that SSJ4 barely gets used.   Goku doesn't even transform into Super Saiyan 4 until the series is more than halfway over.   Once he learns the power, he seems to be able to use it whenever he wants, as long as he wants, but he barely ever takes advantage of it.  Super 17 defeats SSJ4 Goku, so Goku kills him in base form instead.   There's (a little) internal logic to that scenario, but what was the point of introducing a new power-up to the franchise if they weren't going to use it?  The Shadow Dragons are the same deal.   Most of them weren't even worth using Super Saiyan 4, so why were they introduced in the first place?   The ones who were worthy opponents don't show up until near the end, and SSJ4 Goku doesn't really get rolling until Episode 56.   Meanwhile, the fans want to see if Vegeta can do it too, and he can, but by the time he pulls it off, they don't even let him do anything.   You have to wait until the series is nearly over before you get to see SSJ4 Vegeta, and then it's straight into the Fusion.   And guess what? The Fusion's a one-off deal, too.  Goku and Vegeta manage to to the Fusion Dance to become Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, but the fusion wears off by the end of that episode.  They spend most of that one episode talking about fusion instead of letting the audience enjoy Gogeta's cool powers.   The whole point of GT is that, without the schedule headaches of adapting a comic book serial, Toei could tell a streamlined story without using filler.  And yet something as crowd-pleasing as SSJ4 Gogeta gets maybe 15 minutes of airtime.  How many episodes was Master Daltaki in?  Remember, the guy who liked to play with dolls and he wanted to take off Pan's clothes?   "Gosh, Master Daltaki's my favorite character!" said absolutely no one, ever.   What really, really, sucks about the limited use of SSJ4 Gogeta is that Gohan, Trunks, and Goten run interference so Goku and Vegeta can have time to create him.   This is in spite of the fact that they were no match for Omega Shenron to begin with, and they already spent their insufficient energy in a failed bid to recharge Goku.   Somehow Trunks manages to not only survive against Omega, but he manages to get in a decent kick while he's at it.  If base form Trunks can surprise Omega Shenron, then what do they need with a Fused Super Saiyan 4?   Why buy any time at all if every character is treated as interchangeable? Anyway, SSJ4 Gogeta nearly beats Omega Shenron, but he spends too much time screwing around, and the fusion wears off.   Omega does seem to be worn down some from the assault, but he just re-absorbs the Dragon Balls and he seems to be back at full power.   You know, it would have been a lot more tolerable if Omega had shown at least some fatigue from all of this.  What made Vegeta and Nappa's invasion so classic was that the Z-Fighters were hopelessly outclassed, but they managed to chop down the big oak by hanging in there and taking every advantage they could find.   Goku does manage to swipe the four-star Dragon Ball, preventing Omega from absorbing the full set.   The problem is that it appears to make no difference whatsoever.   Goku swallows it for good measure, and he and Vegeta spend a whole episode trying to fuse again, even though you have to wait at least an hour between Fusion Dances.  Finally, Omega Shenron toys with them by allowing them to do the dance unhindered, but by that time Goku has run out of gas.  He reverts to base form, which means he's no longer compatible to fuse with Vegeta because he's a little kid.   You'd think he could try fusing with Pan, but no one ever bothers to point out alternatives.   So now it looks like Vegeta will have to tackle Omega Shenron by himself, except at this juncture the four-star Dragon Ball pops out of Goku's forehead, and Nuova Shenron reappears.  At first he seems to be evil again, but he turns on Omega and traps him in an inescapable sphere of flame.   I don't see why this would be fatal to Omega Shenron since nothing else works on him, but Nuova is convinced that this will kill Omega and spare himself, because only his body is protected from the intense heat.  Omega simply possess Nuova's body, and we're right back where we started.   Oh, and Vegeta runs out of gas too, so that's also an issue.   Omega Shenron finally quits screwing around, and launches a big-ass energy ball at Goku.   Despite being completely exhausted, Goku not only holds back the attack, but survives it when Omega makes it blow up.  Vegeta and their sons make a last-ditch effort to fight Omega, and this goes about as well as you'd expect.  They're all hopelessly outmatched, yet Omega fails to kill a single one of them.   Finally, Goku emerges from the rubble with a Spirit Bomb.   He asks King Kai to help him summon energy from people all over the universe, so that the Spirit Bomb will be big enough to work.   This is smart thinking, and my only objection is that Toei just cribbed this strategy from the end of the Majin Buu arc.   Of course, GT Logic is an original creation of Toei, so while Goku readies the Spirit Bomb, Omega Shenron fires energy blast at him from pointblank range, and it doesn't hurt Goku at all.  Seriously, why did they worry so much about the fusion dance when Base Form Kid Goku was stronger than Omega Shenron the entire time?    Goku finally launches the damn attack, and it's the only thing that works on Omega, ever, so the fight is over.   All that's left are the Dragon Balls, which spontaneously spit out the original Shenron, now back to normal.  Shenron explains that he must exile himself from the Earth, but he grants one final wish from Goku to resurrect all the innocents killed in the conflict.  For no apparent reason, Goku then jumps on Shenron's back and leaves with him.  He makes a couple of pit stops to say good bye to Krillin and Piccolo, then he falls asleep on Shenron's back.   The Dragon Balls then float up to Goku's body, where they are absorbed somehow.   I have no idea what any of that means.   Goku doesn't even explain to his friends and family what he's doing or where he's going.    The Kais, who usually provide exposition for things like this, are never heard from again.   It's like Toei just assumes you can understand why this is necessary.   It's also unclear where Goku and Shenron went.   Is Goku dead?  Because Pan discovers his clothing lying on the ground, as if he faded away like Yoda.  In the GT Movie, which is set one hundred years later, an elderly Pan prays at Goku's gravesite.   So it makes sense that he was presumed dead at some point.   My guess has always been that Toei wanted to write Goku out of the story to end things once and for all, but he's been dead twice before already, so the only way to send him away for good was to do it so ambiguously that no one was sure where he went.   Trunks speculated that when the people of Earth learned to get along without the Dragon Balls, Shenron would eventually return.   Since the Balls were stuck in Goku, you'd have to assume he'd show up as well.   This was addressed by the Dragon Ball AF rumormongers, who held that Goku would return in that nonexistent series as "The Dragon God".   While Goku's motives are never revealed, the final episode of GT at least makes it clear that he never returned in a meaningful way.  A century later, Pan watches her own grandson fight one of Vegeta's descendants in the World Martial Arts Tournament.   She spots Goku in the crowd, but she can't find him, and decides it wasn't real.  Instead, Goku wanders around the stadium, apparently taking in the sights before he jumps into the air and flies away.   That doesn't answer a lot of questions, but it does demonstrate that he never visited Pan, or she would have been less likely to dismiss this sighting as an illusion.  No, the other Dragon Ball heroes are long dead, barely remembered by their descendants.   Goku doesn't seem to be dead, but in a world that moved on in his absence, he might as well be a ghost.  Whatever he's become, it'll never go back to the way it once was.   Personally, I find the ending of GT pretty weak.   For one thing, they ended Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z in similar fashion.  Goku leaves the World Tournament to marry Chi-Chi, then Goku leaves another World Tournament to train Uub, then Goku leaves another World Tournament... for no clear reason. The first two represented phases in Goku's life.   He becomes a young man and starts a family, then he becomes a middle-aged man and takes an apprentice.  The GT ending fittingly avoids any such milestones of life, since it spent the whole series cramming a fifty-something Goku into a ten-year-old body.    I've heard of fans crying at the end of GT, but I think it has more to do with the fact that the series is utterly finished, rather than the drama of a beloved character moving on to whatever it is he's going to do.  I think I would have preferred a proper epilogue, something to show us what happened to the rest of the cast, and why Goku left and what will become of him now.  But after sixty-four episodes of crap, I should be used to disappointment by now.
