Stephanie laughed at the little girl’s adorable disappointed expression. The blonde affectionately booped the girl’s nose and said, “Don’t worry, Mari. At least you got something to look forward to for tomorrow.”
Mari still whimpered at the thought of not having her cookies tonight but she stayed behaved when Jason placed her on her stool in the kitchen.
“Alright you,” Jason pointed at Mari, “you gotta promise not to tell either of your parents we let you stay up late when you couldn’t fall asleep.”
Mari wrote an imaginary ‘X’ against her chest, did a zip-motion on her lips that Jason mimicked, and nodded at her uncle.

A brunch date between Jason and Stephanie turns into a discussion about helping Damian make friends.

Stephanie playfully shoved Jason, “Shut up, you dork.”
The blonde proceeded to swipe their shared plate of fries so that Jason won’t be able to reach it anymore. “Hey, hey. Blondie, come on.”
“Reword that superior opinions part right now and I might change my mind.”
“Alright: I think we’d benefit from having a third member. We both have really good takes but a third would make it more interesting when we have opposing opinions on certain topics.”
Stephanie nodded in approval, “Much better.” She returned the plate of fries in its original position.
