Do you have any idea when the second season of the svss donghua is coming out? The trailer looks so good! 😩
Honestly, I will be very surprised if it does premiere eventually given the original plot and it's gotten harder to get BL content aired within China. Rumors have it maybe being able to air in certain international countries, but take that with a HEAVY grain of salt. Tencent isn't exactly very easy going with letting oversea's audience have specific content only.
And, there are multiple big BL titles that have yet to surface even after having finished filming live actions. Don't think Donghua content will have it any easier.
(Laughs in Mr. Love/Queen's Choice controversy and silence after one season since 2020)
Tencent is a bitch, anon, and it is the biggest media censorship tycoon in China, don't keep high expectations for any of it's BL or risqué projects to be released any time soon.

it does suck that “person who hates tiktok, genshin impact and league of legends purely on the grounds that they’re afraid the ccp is going to steal their information” is such a large population considering all three of those things suck for an infinite amount of reasons that have nothing to do with the fact they’re owned by a chinese company.

Transliterations of Chinese languages
While the most widely spoken Chinese language is “Mandarin”, that is simply one of several Altaic languages with a relatively similar structure, vowels, and consonants. They may be translated in two ways depending on the era to put it simply.
The old way would be based on Mongolian, considering the Mongolian alphabetic script was used alongside the regular and familiar semanto-phonetic character system in the Middle Ages. The Manchu alphabet, the literal Chinese alphabet in question, would with “Mandarin” transliterate as follows:
Consonants: Any deviation from expectations shall be mentioned
N/n
Ŋ/ŋ: Phonetically ‘ng’, usually a final
K/k: Phonetically ‘kh’
G/g: Phonetically ‘k’
H/h: Could be either hard or soft
B/b: Phonetically ‘p’
P/p: Phonetically ‘ph’
S/s
Ş/ş: “Sh” sound
T/t: Phonetically ‘th’
D/d: Phonetically ‘t’
L/l
M/m
Ç/ç: Phonetically ‘tş’ or ‘z̧h’
Z̧/z̧: Phonetically ‘dş’
J/j: “Y” sound
R/r
F/f
V/v: “W” sound
C/c: Phonetically ‘ts’
Z/z: Phonetically ‘ds’
Ȼ/ȼ: Like Ç/ç but with a sort of r-ish vibe to it, phonetically ‘ƶh’
Ƶ/ƶ: Like Z̧/z̧ but with a sort of r-ish vibe to it
Vowels: There were no tonal diacritics, the semanto-phonetic characters were the tone indicators
A/a: “Ah” sound
E/e: “Uh” or “eh” sound
I/i: “Ee” sound
O/o: “Ow” sound
U/u: “Oo” sound
Y/y: Like I/i but with rounded lips (represented in Manchu as a ‘ioi’ ligature)
Therefore, when Xiangqi (象棋, Chinese Chess) originated, it would have been transcribed as the equivalent to ‘Şiaŋçi’, and this is just for the letters used to transcribe Medieval Guanhua, aka “Mandarin”
Come the modern era, the Bobpomofo semisyllabary was used for phonetic transcriptions of the semanto-phonetic system instead, and the CCP came up with the shitty “Hanyu Pinyin” (not as shitty as the Wade-Giles predecessor, one that used the baffling “hs” among other things, though) out of spite for Taiwan, which still uses Bopomofo, which shall be transliterated as below:
Strictly Initials: These would sound like the above unless otherwise indicated, and Ź/ź to Š/š are written like their Serbo-Croatian equivalents based on the very specific placements of the 1st 3 of the 6
B/b
P/p
M/m
F/f
D/d
T/t
N/n
L/l
G/g
K/k
H/h
Ź/ź: Equivalent to Z̧/z̧, always precedes I/i or Y/y, represented by the CCP jab against Taiwan as “j”
= Ć/ć: Equivalent to Ç/ç, always precedes I/i or Y/y, represented by the CCP jab against Taiwan as “q”
= Ś/ś: Palatal Ş/ş equivalent, always precedes I/i or Y/y , represented by the CCCP jab against Taiwan as “x”
Ž/ž:  Equivalent to Ƶ/ƶ, represented by the CCCP jab against Taiwan as “zh”
Č/č:  Equivalent to Ȼ/ȼ, represented by the CCCP jab against Taiwan as “ch”
Š/š: R-ish Ş/ş equivalent, represented by the CCCP jab against Taiwan as “sh”
R/r
Z/z
C/c
S/s
Finals / Semivowels: Other than I/i, U/u, and Y/y, these are all strictly finals
A/a
O/o
E/e
Ë/ë: Always has an “eh” sound and always occurs in diphthongs and here would not have any further diacritics, those would be attached to the other vowels
Ai
Ei: Represented by the CCP representation without an e- arbitrarily in trigraphs
Au: Represented by the CCP representation as “ao”, even though it does not actually sound like the Japanese ‘ao’ diphthong
Ou
An
(E)n: Has an attached E/e by itself
(E)ŋ: Has an attached E/e by itself
(E)r: (E)r equivalent to the (E)ŋ character
I/i: Equivalent to both the Manchu I/i and J/j, initially phonetically ‘ii’
U/u: Equivalent to both the Manchu U/u and V/v, initially phonetically ‘uu’
Y/y: Like I/i but with rounded lips, represented inconsistently in the CCP jab against Taiwan, initially phonetically ‘yy’
It also has tonal diacritcs, but not the equivalent to a line over a vowel like the CCP would imply.
This results in what was once ‘象Şiaŋ棋çi’ now being ㄒㄧㄤˋㄑㄧˊ (‘Śìàŋćí’)
It’s worth noting that there are other Bopomofo characters, these are the ones used for Guanhùà, aka “Mandarin”.
For my Verden Chronicles setting, I would use a slightly modified version of the Manchu version, which would also have 1:1 Cyrillic, Arabic-script, and ‘Phags-Pa alphabets, and Bopomofo would be irrelevant due to its relatively recent origin.

Trigger Warnings: Suicide, Starvation, Government-Sanctioned Kidnapping
Creative Nonfiction (I think that's what this genre is called?)
I’m fifteen years old. My mother is in her fifties, and my father just turned sixty this year.
There’s a knock on our door at three in the afternoon. We open it, and a figure covered head to toe in a blue protective suit says gruffly that someone in a neighboring apartment building has tested positive. He tells us to pack our bags: we’re being taken to another site to quarantine.
My mother tells him that, per the government’s regulations, we haven’t left the apartment in weeks. I hover in the kitchen, out of the man’s sight, and peer at him through a crack in the door.
He shrugs and leaves, climbing the narrow stone steps to the next floor. My mother watches him go, then closes the door. She sees me standing nervously and musters a weak smile. “At least they’ll have food there,” she says, trying to reassure me. My stomach grumbles at the thought. My parents tell me this isn’t as bad as the Great Famine, but it feels pretty bad to me.
I’ve heard that our building’s been lucky. No one’s gotten desperate enough to jump, but I understand why people have.
I’d prefer a quick death over starving too.
As I start to pack, I begin to hear others move around. Our neighbor calls to his wife, asking where his shirt is. Footsteps sound overhead as the people above us grab their belongings. Somewhere, a baby starts to cry, and I wonder if it’s the Wangs two floors below. Their daughter is three years old.
Everyone in the building is outside within an hour, gathered on the curb. We’re all wearing stifling, airtight protective gear, and I start sweating immediately. With the suit on, it’s hard to recognize anyone, though I do identify eighty-six-year-old Ms. Song by her floral cane. She lives on the twelfth floor; I’m glad she got down okay.
Ordinarily, I’d be giddy at the sight of so many people, even though everyone is huddled in their own family unit away from each other. But it’s already burning hot, and my shirt is sticking to my skin. Sweat runs down the clear eye piece, distorting my view. I try to brush it off, but the sweat’s on the inside of the suit and I can’t reach it. I have to turn my neck to look at anyone because the suit blocks all peripheral vision, and I think absentmindedly that I hope the bus driver doesn’t have to wear a suit while driving, because that seems dangerous.
We’ve been outside for an hour already, everyone clutching their luggage, and there’s no sign yet of the bus. There are faint whispered conversations going on between family units, but it’s hard to hear anything through the mask and suit. Most people have sat down, but some remain stubbornly standing, as if that will make the bus arrive quicker.
Mr. Yi is the first person to talk to someone else, and everyone immediately swivels to look at him. He stands and clears his throat. “Does anyone know when the bus will arrive?”  he asks. No one says anything. After a long pause, he continues, a bit desperately, “Or where we’re going?” Once again, no one responds. He sits back down, chastened, and people return to their conversations, occasionally side-eyeing him.
It’s seven o’clock, and the sun’s already set. Most people have lapsed into silence. I hear someone say, a touch too loudly, “I heard the buses come at night because it’s easier to cover-up that way.” His family immediately shushes him, but the damage is done: people scoot away from them like they have Covid.
It’s ten, and the bus has finally arrived. We’re all packed in, as tightly as we can fit, and the bus groans as it lurches forward. The driver’s wearing a suit, of course. Fleetingly, I think of a story I’d read about a nighttime bus with a suited driver that flipped into a ditch by the side of the road. Officially, twenty-seven people died and twenty more were injured. I shudder and press closer t omy parents. We still don’t know where we’re going.
One more surprise awaits us at the collection of ramshackle wooden sheds that will be our quarantine center for the next however-many-weeks we’re stranded here. There’s very little food to be found.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This sounds like a dystopia, but for millions of people, it’s a terrifying reality they’re facing daily. In pursuit of China’s farce of a zero-Covid policy, thousands of people are being shipped out of apartment buildings by the busload, bound for some unknown destination that turns out looking suspiciously like a concentration camp. Very little food is provided, both at the camps and for people cooped up at hom in tiny apartments at the government’s order.
The story of the bus flipping, and the speculation of buses appearing at night when there are less onlookers to take videos and post them on social media, are both true. Stories of people jumping off apartment buildings because they have no more food and face a slow starvation are depressingly common.
While you’re mourning Queen Elizabeth II (or celebrating her death) and getting incensed over migrant troubles, spare some grief and anger for the people of China, who are always the first victims of the Chinese Communist Party.

But I wanted her (knockoff playline dolls)
I don't use Temu! Temu bad! Temu steals your info! Temu -
Tumblr media
Ooh. She's pretty. Yeah. I caved.
So technically, Defa Lucy is a Mexican Walmart knockoff of Barbie, but plastic playline knockoffs aren't viewed generally with the same level of distaste as recast BJDs. Others have their reasons, but mine goes a little something like this:
These toys are made with plastic injection molding machines. Here's a sales pitch video by Fit Precision Molding, a company that makes and sells these machines:
youtube
These machines are NOT cheap. This is the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine of toys. $20K (USD) for ONE machine is a starter price - and that's if you can get it cheap from China. So a company that has decided to create their own knockoff line also tends to have the funds to pick a legal fight with, say, Mattel (MGAE and Bratz). This is not a backyard art theft sort of operation. This is easily a $200K operation just for the machines.
Granted, YMY still got smacked good and hard by the company that makes Nendoroids, and they deserved to get smacked, cuz stealing is bad.
HOWEVER...
Playline companies steal from each other all the time (cough cough Barbie Extra trying to lift the LOL OMG line like that hot mess of clashing color outfits and ridiculous plastic jewelry can compare to the cohesiveness of MGAE looks cough). Generally, if one company is mad enough, they'll sue the "stealing" company pretty quickly, and the marketplace will figure it out.
The other reason it doesn't bother me is cuz I figure these companies kinda have it coming.
So when China opened up for business, companies all over the world ran there like their houses were on fire, cuz China so cheap! Such affordable labor force. Much lack of regulation - environmental or occupational safety. Companies initially balked at employees being required to join a union, but they were immediately comforted by the fact that Chinese labor unions do exactly squat for people. The unions exist solely to steal from the employees and transfer that money to members of government.
When you open a business in China, you're required to bring on a local company as a joint venture (same in Saudi Arabia, by the way), and the Chinese company will steal with delight and abandon - as actively encouraged by the Chinese government and CCP. Companies have whined extensively about this to their respective governments. "I want cheap labor force! I want to destroy water supply! I want to pollute their air! But they're stealing from me! Waaaaah!"
Well - you get what you pay for, now don't you. You want access to exploited labor forces (forced labor for Uyghurs in the Xinjiang province, imported North Korean slaves). You want rights to dump your toxic crap into the Chinese water supply and the Chinese air without repercussions - which travels over to California and gets trapped in LA, by the way (air moves, idiots).
You'll have to forgive me if my sympathies are not particularly high for you.
This sucks for anyone trying to be an ethical consumer. Walk into your local store and flip over any box. They all say "Made in China." All of them.
This is why even though dolls like Momoko and Obitsu are more expensive, I am willing to pay to import them. Japanese wages suck, but at least they're making some money. The dolls are made in Japan. That's why they cost as much as they do. If you want to be an ethical doll collector, your options are basically BJDs and Japanese dolls (maybe Korean). Anything on US shelves is made in China and therefore unethical AF.

Do you have any pieces of clothing that are sentimental?
maybe most of them for the fact that i used to have a philosophy of ‘buy things you’d never want to sell’ and how i dressed was a big part of who i am. selling my ccp jacket recently sucked but i did so so i can have some fun and i was able to buy my own drinks last night and partied and got drunk so maybe it’s my most sentimental piece to date because of the short term freedom it’s allowed me

I voted FDR in the poll because of well, the everything, and I was astonished to see how many people had chosen Nixon.
I know our education system is bad, but it was genuinely horrific to see all the other options in the single digits. For most of these people, the only bad thing they know about Nixon was watergate. I remember at least being taught about the internment camps in school, even if they neglected to mention who was president at the time.
FDR fancied himself king of America, and it's disheartening to know how few people realize how genuinely evil he was.
I mean, Nixon was on there mostly to prove that tumblr as a whole does not understand or remember history. Their knowledge of history comes from half-remembered public education, and from ahistorical and hysterical tumblr posts.
Don't get me wrong, Nixon did fucking suck.
He normalized trade relations with China, which ruined American manufacturing, sending countless American jobs overseas, and the rest of the world soon followed suit; that's why 90% of what you own is cheap and low-quality and made in China. Not to mention that the massive influx of foreign money is what led to the CCP being able to continue to prop itself up, when it otherwise would have collapsed under the weight of its own incompetence and inefficiency decades ago otherwise, like every other experiment with socialism inevitably does.
Then there's his taking America off of the gold standard, which permitted the massive expansion of the money supply, which led to the inflation of the 1970's, and all subsequent inflations, since the main safeguard and deterrent to inflationary monetary policy has been removed.
And then there's the incredibly underhanded tactics that he used to to get his political opposition: See, in spite all of his hatred for hippies and the Black Panthers, you can't ban ideologies or political movements. But, both groups tended to smoke marijuana. So what do you do? You stoke latent anti-Mexican sentiment in the American populace, and paint weed as a demon drug that makes people promiscuous and a danger to society. And once it was criminalized, well, now he had all the excuse he needed to crack down on certain groups who opposed him. He wasn't throwing them in jail for their ideology; he was throwing them in jail for the reefer! Totally different! The "War on Drugs" is total bullshit, and like all attempts at prohibition in this country, it just led to a greater amount of the "banned" item in increasing potency and availability, while creating a robust criminal underclass to supply the prohibited good.
And we can't forget that he ordered the bombing and invasion of Cambodia and Laos, two countries which had the misfortune of simply being next to Vietnam. He even ran on a platform of ending the war in Vietnam, and while the peace talks were already started by the time he was elected, it took four more years for America to finally withdraw from a war it had no business being involved with in the first place.
He weaponized the FBI and IRS against political enemies, keeping tabs on anyone that he thought was against him, spying on and even illegally wiretapping opponents. He, like so many others, tried to consolidate more and more power into the Executive branch of the government, outside the normal separation of powers. His election strategy was to openly court racists who were mad about desegregation.
And, of course, I'd be remiss if I forgot to mention Tricky Dick's Wet 'n' Wild Water Heist of 1967. Leave the water in the Reflecting Pool alone, man.

Okay, forgive me, but I’ve seen this word a lot on your dash: what’s a tankie? (And if you know why, WHY are they called tankies)? I did look it up, but I feel you’d explain it better if you want to!
So, my understanding may not be perfect but here goes:
Tankies is basically a term for radical communists who occupy the same sort of head space as radical feminists IE TERFs, or radical right wingers, IE Fascists. Its funny, until I met them I didn't believe in political horseshoe theory but here we are :/
Tankies is essentially a catch all term for someone who thinks that Soviet Russia was an amazing place actually and not at all an empire. Or that the modern Chinese government is both socialist (It isn't, it has billionaires) and a super cool progressive place to live (It isn't). They often blame any exceptions to this on 'The West'.
The people who become Tankies are generally just put together enough to realize stuff like, "Capitalism sucks" and "The US shouldn't be world police and do a lot of fucked up things actually." But rather than, you know, realizing there's no such thing as a good empire, they just flip. They go "Well the US said these countries are bad, so they must actually be the heroes!"
They tend to think 'everything' is the US's fault, As in, they still believe in US Exceptionalism, they just think its exceptionalism that is evil over heroic. Hence tankies blaming protests in Iran against the government and morality police on the CIA rather than accepting people outside 'The West' and their chosen fave country has any kind of agency not directly imported from the US, or China, or Russia ETC.
This leads them to all sorts of genocide denial, dictator stanning, fascism enabling and war crimes ignoring. One of the most notable of these was the Tiananmen Square Massacre where tanks started killing people and CCP stans said it didn't happen and or was justified.
This is what led to the name tankies being applied.

Idk if you saw my tags in the last post but damn fuck the education system and the pressure to pass and do well in school. Like my parents took school so seriously I'd get beat for getting any grade below a C. That's fucking crazy, it's crazy that my parents thought the best way to get me to make better grades was terrifying me so much I was too scared to fail. And when I'd cry after getting a bad report card from teachers or something they thought I was just trying to guilt them and would tell me stuff like it's all my fault and shit. Like no bitch I'm crying because my parents are going to hurt me for this. I stopped making bad grades after freshmen year because I got really good at cheating and bullshitting but then I became less worried about actually learning the material and more worried about getting all my work done. I didn't read a single assigned English book, I got all A's in English. I didn't learn anything in AP Biology, I got A's and B's. I have no idea how I ended up in CCP pre calculus senior year but I passed, I suck at math bro. And its not like I didn't have any help obviously because of the trauma associated with it I ended up with alters who's purpose was to do a bunch of school work at once and I also had a 504 plan which helped a lot and I still turned in a bunch of assignments late but my 504 covered that as long as I told the teacher I needed more time. But damn that was rough. Fuck school and the education system and the pressure to do well. I ended up in Honors and CCP and AP classes when I suddenly stopped failing and actually started getting good grades and damn fuck those kinds of classes too, they give way too much work to poor high schoolers. I remember how much shit I had to do in those classes and when you take multiple at a time it's just a lot. I tried college twice now and I actually think college assigns less work than those damn classes. Anyways sorry for the rant vent thing I'm really stoned.

the sudden and spectacular mask-dropping of all these supposed nazi-punching left-wing blogs here suddenly embracing violent antisemitism the moment it becomes socially acceptable, is predictable, disgusting, and... morbidly comedic, like a black comedy of the most egregious kind. you see, I always knew all of it was performative and hypocritical. a bunch of people who thinks the government should do everything, control everything, think they're anti-fascist? a bunch of people who will take any excuse to be violent against a population they don't like are anti-nazi? but to be honest, I had no idea how performative and hypocritical they actually were.
what israel is doing could be considered an actual genocide, certainly, just like the CCP's treatment of the uyghur muslims. but in much the same way as the actions of the CCP does not justify violence against chinese immigrants, so to does the actions of the israeli government not justify violence against jews. conflation of a people and a government is a form of racialism, pure and simple, and the willingness to act on that conflation? that, my friend, is racism. antisemitism, to be exact.
(that's not even bringing up the fact that i've seen people treating hamas as a freedom-fighter group even though they have actively sabotaged any attempts at peace that don't involve ethnic cleansing of israeli jews.)
y'all think you live in a saturday-morning cartoon where any violent action taken against "the enemy" is justified because "they're the bad guys". it's infantile and gross. that's how you become what you think you're fighting.
look at the right-wing fanatics like Alex Jones. He lives in a fantasy world, where the liberals are a bunch of actual demons and goblins out to suck the blood of children, rather than being people with different perspectives and interpretations of the world. his rhetoric dehumanizes people, and crunches them all together into a single nebulous "them" that "we" can fight. this is what you are doing right now. you are turning "the jews" into a boogeyman, and then conflating them with the nazis you already think you hate. and in doing so, you are adopting nazi thought as your own, effectively becoming them. a neo-nazi, if you will.
i fully expect within the next year or two for the left to start taking up right-wing talking points from 1930s america and run with them. brace yourselves.

predictions for 2024:
someone's gonna piss on white house property but not in the toilet
joe biden and trump die of old age mere months before the election and both of the single party that americans have two of have to scramble for new candidates. the democrats will ignore bernie for a borderline republican who will change their allegiance the moment they get into office (assuming a democrat win)
Ronald Dion Desantis and Greg Abbott get the Shinzo Abe Experience (and the republican party starts caring about gun violence over this) (but only removing the guns from the hands of the minority groups that did the shootings)
Anthony Albanese will eat a food wildly incorrectly (such as a raw onion) and Baldi's Basics in Running a Political Party will do a silly dance in parliament because he is defending a corporation. the news companies will only cover one of these.
Captain Ancap will actually try selling Argentina's president seat to Elon Musk and there's a coin flip chance of him accepting it and somehow running it about the same
At least 2 African nations will legalize slavery
Joe Biden actually tries to raise the minimum wage as a last minute fuck you to his party. it hits 9 us dollars per hour. this is still not enough to pay rent in any city.
Nintendo announces a new switch, but there is a glaring issue with the name that makes it sound like an accessory for the original (like the WII U being mistaken for a gamepad add on for the wii)
Another Ubisoft sandbox that's as boring as the last. It magically makes it into the game awards
There is a new indie game that's cool until it hits the elsagate market and becomes skibidi dop dop dop yes yes skibidi dop dop nyeem nyeem levels of dogshit. the developers lean into it and change things already in the game to fit this, leaving the ideal way to play as a pirated copy of the first release version.
Mario Kart 9 is announced for the Switch 2. The retro courses have a lot of MKDS and MKWII's courses (nitro and retro) and yoshi circuit gets the shortcut back from double dash
Valve makes an agreement with Epic to let Fortnite on Steam. They also release a major TF2 update with new Valve-made content that isn't a scrapped map from 2010 that they reskinned. It's got Cactus Canyon on top of the new map, with an extra few cacti because it will have gone through more versions. Beta Maps get added to the Casual map queue under their own. Player Destruction gets added to the core casual queue and the invasion maps get put into the right categories. Medieval Mode gets new maps. VSH is put into a new "arcade" mode.
TF2 Casual's Core Modes and Alternative Modes are combined, but the ultrawacky modes are shoved into arcade. There's a case for valve items and war paints, and a case for community items, and a community war paint case. This results in a bug with Unusual skins with the seasonal hat effects and Unusual hats with the skin effects. Competitive resets every year now and gives a badge for your rank.
This update also includes a Fortnite-Themed set for scout/heavy that comes in genuine for linking a Fortnite account subscribed to the Crew service. The entire update is actually a promotion for Fortnite coming to steam and the TF2 collab.
Additional Fortnite collabs include Guilty Gear (Asphalt/Brisket/Sol/Ky) and Touhou. The Nintendo Collab has Link and Samus (with zero suit style) and this causes news headlines to come out because gregor samsus has the bulge (suddenly this is an issue because they need clicks)
The Zero Suit style and the Skyward Sword link styles are locked behind playing on a Switch/Switch 2, depending on when they come out and the switches dont actually render the bulge on samus (cringe)
An Australian Politician (Male) will have to stop campaigning against trans people for a second because one of the women he sucked off recorded it and posted it on tiktok. He will then switch entirely to an anti-CCP angle to try and blast tiktok and distract from the fact he did the homophobic politician thing
Sussan Ley will have her office sign griefed to say SUS. The nearby Cafe's incredibly blank wall that needs a mural finally gets one (it's amongus)
There will be 3 Homestuck books donated to my local library and I will not know any of the people who did it.
a trans man comes 1st in a major competition and this is going to be ignored just like every other time because it doesnt fit the media narrative of "trans women upend their entire lives to get an advantage in sports and trans men simply do not exist"
One of those robot police dogs shoots an on duty officer and becomes the first good police dog.
Kamala Harris' Registeel falls onto train tracks and damages a train in the process of being destroyed.
Weed is federally legalized in the USA, Australia and Scotland, which secedes from the UK to rejoin Europe. Wales and Northern Ireland also secede from england and the Irelands reunite.
England becomes increasingly bad for trans people but scotland, wales, and the newly reunified ireland start going hard on the trans support, opening a new informed consent clinic every month.
Western australia sees the kingdom ununiting and tries to secede from the rest of australia. It almost gets through before someone remembers it exists and stops it.
Dr Egghead from one piece tells Luffy that he has autism right at the end of the Egghead Island arc, to nobody's surprise. Nami officially comes out as lesbian and this almost kills Brook and Sanji (i love brook until he does the sexual harassment. sanji is irredeemable.)
A new anime with a severely autistic girl in the main character slot comes out and is an instant hit again.
Another one of my friend group comes out as trans (it's the former mcdonalds worker)
I get the job at the place half my graduating class got a job at
Panera releases the Lemonade That Kills People internationally with half the caffeine. or i can stock up on that stuff at my local american/international stores because that's 5 coffees worth of caffeine in one drink and that saves me drinking 5 whole coffees per day when working.
Shrek 5 gets a trailer and there's a reference to one of Dreamworks' bad movies (like boss baby) in it. Death makes a background appearance in a scene where Puss is near death.
