HUGE icicle that looked like you could kill someone with it or something.. The main food that I made for the elderly elf man 'party'. which was a Deconstructed Beef Wellington (kind of as ajoke since I watch s#o many silly cooking competition shows and they always make stuff 'deconstructed' at the last minute when under time limits or whatever.)#I've wanted to make beef wellington a few times but Ithink to do it well I'd need like..an actual kitchen and a lot of time and#an oven that fully works to bake things and etc. etc. So I thought this would be an easier method. A thick steak cut round to kind of mimi#c the round tenderloin or whatever it is in a wellington. instead of the puff pastry being wrapped around - I just did star shaped cut outs#of pastry and baked them and put them on top (to go with the star theme). instead of mushroom duxelles being wrapped around in pastry#its in a little circle under the steak. and instead of mustard being brushed onto the meat I made a mustard gravy sauce type of thing#Then of course asparagus on the side.. my favorite... Though I know some wellington#also has a layer of prosciutto I think. or I saw one person use crepes. I didn't feel it was necessary to incorporate that too lol#8. bapy son helping me do a giant puzzle that took me hours and I had no idea it was actually that large of a puzzle#until I started putting it together and for some reason it made me stressed by the end instead of relaxed lol.. puzzle fatigue#photo diary

I will stop thinking about it I promise, but yeah I assumed Surgery Altar dude depicted Willem (over all the evidence of Byrgenwerth and Healing Church initially not being so split and communicating even, the idea of that Altar depicting surgery on OoK rather than Blood Ministration and Research Hall being focused on eyes and not blood). But it does have a hat that looks like Choir's blindfold but taller, Church shawl and surgeon gloves..
I am just having second thoughts, but also what frustrates me about that depiction is how much it lacks the details? I want to just copy it for Laurence, but if I don't torture myself with different chains and ribbons and laces and accessories and extra layers I will explode 🤔 The best solution would be to say that Altar robe is his doctor suit; you don't wanna wear something too heavy on accessories when you are doing medical procedures! But appearing in the public, on the other hand, is a good excuse for dressing up pretty!

Today on Baldur's Gate 3: Dark Urge edition, it's time for fashion! I keep encumbering myself at clothing shops, and I think Withers is my dad now.
(Spoilers through late Act 3. Orin and I have gone at it.)
I'm not kidding, I believe I own at least one of every available article of clothing in the game now (plus at least three of every dye), and everyone in my party looks fantastic. We went through some initial city looks for my GF and my problematic BFF:
And things escalated from there:
This was the Squad Look for a while. Imagine this rolling up on your home or place of business (or casting fireball in a fireworks factory, they also did that). Some people don't have to imagine! Lisa Frank drew a pretty decent crowd for her rendition of "The Power (Elder Brain Remix)."
Then I found a Party City Wonder Woman outfit for Shadowheart:

And then! I realized I could loot circus outfits! 🎶 All eyes on me, in the center of the ring 🎶
Total gamechanger, maybe should not have worn for my epic showdown with my jealous sister and my dramatic death/rebirth after my bio dad yoinked all my blood before Withers adopted me with some fresh new blood:
I did get the unexpected delight of seeing what Lisa Frank looked like in her armor at the time.
That armor look didn't last, though, because we all know what time it is, don't we? That's right: time for the jutilated jarapace!
Lisa Frank is free of her dark urge and everyone is proud of her and she's making a fresh start and that's great and all, but more importantly, she's in her sexy cowboy era. The circus chic still shows up for camp scenes, like, uh, Shadowheart having an emotional meltdown, oops.
Tragically, we have two candidates for worst aesthetic, one which the game inflicted on me, and one which the game let me do, so it's equally culpable:

(In case anyone was wondering if the girls ever found a good wedding suit for Beca, fear not! Here's proof that they found one perfectly suited to our favorite alt-girl Bella Captain!)
Tfw you start out with an AU concept for a Pitch Perfect Next Gen story centered around a pair of OC's and the shenanigans they get up to, only to end up writing more or less a prequel to that concept instead telling the love story between one of the OC's parents.
And then that story shapes up to be at least 3x as long as any individual story you've ever written for any fandom. Ever.
Anyways that is a fic that is coming, and here is some of the concept art from one of the final events it'll cover: Jesse and Beca's wedding.
These two pages came up because a) I love designing fashion, especially formal fashion (like for weddings), and b) these outfits will be featured in a full-page illustration/cover art of sorts for the fic, so I wanted to properly design them before i get that far, and c) they'll barely be visible in said illustration, which is a damn shame, because they're good designs! So they get their own feature pages so y'all can properly appreciate the glory that is Beca's absolutely kickass wedding suit (because the girl who has canonly only ever worn 3 skirts total--and one of those was just the og Bella uniform skirt!--is absolutely NOT going to wear a dress to her wedding if she can at all help it, and you may quote me on that!) as well as Jesse's rose brocade waistcoat with corset style lacing in the back (it makes his waist look good y'all). It simply had to be done!
Also featured is a rough drawing of Beca's engagement ring, aka a family heirloom passed down through 4 generations of Swanson men to their intendeds; it's a 20's era Daisy-set ring done in silver, with a single diamond in the center surrounded by tiny rubies and sapphires (which, why yes, that DOES sound like it would perfectly meld the color aesthetics of the Bellas and the Trebles and thematically represent Jesse and Beca's union, however did you know??)
Anyways, yes, these two are going to be the best looking married couple LA has ever seen, celebrity mega weddings eat your hearts out!
