Well hes honestly my least fave of the boys but I do have lots of thoughts on him

I think honestly maybe part of the reason I dont super love him is the fact that. He's so oblivious. He tries to convey himself in a manner of like "I like you, mc" but hes also so afraid that hes wrong in thinking they're into him mutually, and hes SO particular about cultural boundaries methinks because again he can't outright say that he likes them. I didnt get his anniversary card (the uh on where the LI (love interest) confesses their love to MC) so I dont really know how that went, but im certain he procrastinated on it for ages, not wanting to ruin his friendship, partnership, co-worker...ship, or anything. I dont think he can stand failure. He's got lots of repressed trauma methinks. Just a lot of burden on his shoulders.

I also like too that hes obsessed with movies and even if it was a really bad movie I think he'd watch it. For criticism, of course. Totally not to have an outlet for his own emotion. Project all over those kdrama businessmen falling in love, Artem !!! I see you, I love you. I get it. Samesies. I think his favorite things ever are kdramas or OR OR OR THE REALLY STUPID LONGASS (US)AMERICAN SOAP OPERAS OMG. I think he canonically knows several languages and I have decided he learned them all from watching different kinds of soap operas from countries around the world. >:)

ok so fushimi breaking his glasses and having to get new ones, but for whatever reason the glasses shop are all out of the glasses he usually buys and nothing fits his vision. And so he's forced to wear these square shaped-stereotypical "nerdy" glasses 😭😭

+him trying to fight yata and just failing because yatas laughing too hard to take him seriously

...Okay but what makes those different from his normal glasses, he already wears nerd glasses XD Maybe these are even worse than his normal pair, they look like the type of glasses that comedy shows have the designated 'nerd' character wear. Say one day when he's fighting a Strain Fushimi's glasses end up getting broken, he figures he can just use his spare set but as it turns out those were the spare and Fushimi never bothered getting a second pair after his previous pair of glasses broke. He can more or less function without them but it's difficult, looking at a computer screen for hours like he normally does is pretty impossible without his glasses. He goes to get a new pair but he's in a hurry because he needs these now and maybe the only pair the glasses shop has that will work for his prescription and can be done immediately are these super thick-framed ultimate nerd glasses. Fushimi clicks his tongue in irritation but he needs glasses so he agrees to buy them, putting in an order for a pair that match the ones he broke that he can pick up later on and figuring he'll just have to use these until better ones come in. As soon as he puts the nerd glasses on he hates them (imagine they look kinda like S4's infamous nose glasses but without the fake mustache part) but he doesn't have a choice, he can just put them on to do work for now.

No sooner has he gotten out of the shop though than he gets a text from Munakata about a Strain issue. Fushimi has to go after where the Strain was last seen so he reluctantly puts on his terrible new glasses and hurries off. By the time he gets there the Strain is long gone but Fushimi's gathering clues, glasses still on. He's so used to his own glasses that he's basically forgotten that these aren't his usual ones, which is why he doesn't hesitate to look up and grin when he hears the sound of skateboard wheels nearby. Fushimi figures at least this wasn't a wasted trip, coming up behind Yata all what brings you here Misaki. Yata stiffens and Fushimi starts to taunt him, wondering what Yata was doing in this area of town away from his precious Homra, just doing his usual asshole schtick as he draws his sword and tries to goad Yata into a fight.

Yata's fists clench and he finally turns around, preparing to throw a punch as he's like 'Saruhiko you asshole--' and then he cuts off, staring. Fushimi clicks his tongue, wondering what Yata thinks he's doing like this is a fight you moron and Yata's like 'Saruhiko...your glasses...'. Fushimi remembers what pair he's wearing and he clicks his tongue again, muttering that these are temporary. Yata's shoulders are shaking and Fushimi yells at him like what are you scared of me Misaki and Yata just bursts out laughing, pointing at Fushimi's glasses as he's like OMG Saruhiko you bought nerd glasses. Fushimi's extremely irritated by this, calling Yata an idiot as he says these are normal glasses and Yata's like no seriously your other ones were uncool but these are super uncool, you look like a total geek. Imagine poor Fushimi just so annoyed by this too, he just wants Yata to fight him but Yata keeps looking at him and bursting into laughter again and Fushimi's grumbling 'it's not that funny' under his breath as he wonders if being able to see things is worth this level of aggravation.
