Huh, ok..., wait not episode... by FAR?! In the whole series?!
EXCUSE ME, Gem is the newest member but is following the trend of being the craziest with Pearl and Cleo, being a girlboss and from HC, ok, mostly peaceful SMP be birthing the most crazies
So for anyone who doesn't know, this is an episode of Thomas the Tank Engine, and this is the scene where the coal carts (the craziest entities in all of the TTTE universe might I add) yeet themselves off a bridge and die, they actually die, cause they can drown
The Impulse extra, what, that could mean a billion things, but I predict killing
She's red, there is no way she isn't, she is red, I was hoping for a Mounders win but my hopes are being blown up
Scar lost lives?? Or Gem lost lives?? I can't tell
These tiny, tiny crumbs are driving me up the wall HELP HELP HELP
there’s something about how most new worlds were born of wishes (“i wish the lich never existed” resulting in farmworld and things like “i wish simon never put on the crown” or “i wish finn and jake would never get old and die” being possible wishes for babyworld and vampworld respectively) and simon and betty playing out a little what-if of what it might’ve been like to go to australia together and the futility of it. will happen. could happen. did happen. didn’t.
there’s something about fionna and cake’s world in turn being born of a wish just to be. to live and to see life through. something about the vast and insignificant miracle that is the human experience. (“you’re going to be something extraordinary — you’re going to be a human being.” “you are an experience. make sure it’s a good experience.” “you were a wonderful experience.” “i think i was born to hang out. and love a lot.”)
there’s something about shermy and beth technically still coming down the pike from miles away. (will happen.) about all these stories that started so long ago still being told, still being happy in the end, still being worth telling even if you already know how all the songs go. (happening.) about how at the end of the day the past is immutable. you can never cross the same river twice and you never go home. you’ll never grow past this pain if you don’t let go. (happened. “it seems unforgiving when a good thing ends,”) about how simon thought golbetty was going to swallow him and free him of his anguish over her but instead she sent him tumbling back into his own world, into a life rich with love and laughter that makes his agonies worth it. (will happen. “you and i will always be best friends.”)
Between the codependent need to be emotionally comforting and helpful to others, the inability to open up about their problems to their loved ones and insisting that ‘everything’s fine’, the obsession with being self-sacrificial, a feeling of isolation from humanity, the identity issues and general Trauma I think that we should try and locking ‘Fionna and Cake’-era Simon Petrikov up in a room with ‘Steven Universe Future’-era Steven Universe.
It’s 50/50 chance they’d either perfectly solve each other’s problems in under an hour or they’ll develop the weirdest codependent pseudo-father-son dynamic but either way it’ll be very entertaining to watch.
(Also, Steven has tons of moms but he could use a spare dad or two)
Adding on to what I brought up. Raine immediately saying this to Kikimora, (the person who was in charge of petrifying Eda) with the context that Dana said they had been watching and were horrified, means that it has not left their mind. After this episode they definitely did not want to risk Eda almost dying a third time.
