A Stranger in the Lee Soo-Yeon Strangeverse

Merch idea: You're a vacationer in mystery mistress Lee Soo-yeon's macrohabitat, where each story so far begins with a lead character running into a corpse: in a store he shops at, at the home he visits for an appointment, along his commute, in a vehicle arriving at his workplace, and right above her on her vehicle. To enjoy your stay with maximal peace in this video game, you must keep the place as safe as possible:

Brave the embarrassment and stigma to report suspicious activities and domestic violence and other wrongdoings before they escalate or occur to more victims

Stop establishment patrons from taking any unconscious person away

Clean up after yourself so that no sign of carelessness or sloppiness suggests an abundance of easy victims to potential criminals

Join a mentoring program for at-risk youths

Join a neighborhood watch

Help out at a soup kitchen

Sign petitions for safer infrastructure and other robust security measures and for legal reforms to hold wrongdoers fully accountable

Pay all your rightful taxes to sustain a well-functioning justice system, including adequate hot spots policing (but with policy safeguards to forestall racial profiling)

Depending on the number of crimes accrued by the end of your stay, you get to collect rewards or penalties. There are two tiers of rewards: (A) a computer-generated, shareable gif of you slurping noodles with ace prosecutor Hwang Si-mok and warm-hearted police lieutenant Han Yeo-jin or having desserts with the dashing emergency medicine specialist and secret change-maker Ye Jin-woo and (B) shareable AI doodle of you in Han Yeo-jin's art style. The penalties? Computer-generated imagery of Lee Soo-yeon's villains cynically pointing weapons at your photo avatar. Sorry, you'll have to do more work to show off this other visual on social media. Naturally, the number of villains increases with the number of crimes.

A leaderboard publicizes all players' rankings. Every few months, active players have virtual access to a debate between socially-driven crime writers like Lee Soo-yeon and Kim Eun-hee and experts on criminal affairs. Physical attendance is possible with ticket purchase. The top 5% of players receive complimentary tickets. Let's keep in mind, though, that virtual virtue does not always translate to real-world virtue. Nonetheless, at a time when apocalyptic news ceaselessly rains down on us, the reminder that we have so much agency to sculpt our surroundings would be empowering, clarifying and inspiring.

What happened to Sodor Interstellar?

I've noticed that a few people on Tumblr have been asking this question and I think it's time that I put those minds at ease...

• Dramatic Life Change: I moved countries and got married to @asktrio516. My full attention had to be oriented solely on this. It still is.

• Social Media: I am terrible when it comes to social media. I only ever used Facebook in limited amounts in the past (keeping in touch with my wife throughout our long-distance relationship mainly) and I originally created a Tumblr account to support her on here.

• Sodor Interstellar demanded too much of my wife's artwork, which should be dedicated to her blog.

• The Strangeverse: My wife and I have recently begun to really buckle down and work on our dream project now that we are finally together. So my creative energy has been focused on this.

Finally, Sodor Interstellar is NOT a scrapped project. I genuinely had a lot of fun developing it and continue to do so whenever I have the time. I really appreciate everyone who supported and enjoyed the AU!

My Stories

So, I'm working on a bunch of different stories (very cool). I always have worlds in the works, because my brain is overactive and I would die if I stopped. This is going to be a list of some of these, which you punks can look forwards to me posting about!

The Grounded Circus is a 4-part story following a proper timeline. There's murder and ghosts, there's circuses and clowns, and, later on, there is animatronics and rediscovery of a buried past. Something super fun and cool with this, is that it was actually developed after a FNAF Sister Location roleplay I did on Roblox.

Junction is a giant anarchical city-state nation. The center is a dense metropolis, built on top of itself, in a world of strange creatures, amazing technology, magic, and many other aspects. Beneath this incomprehensibly large city is the Pipeworks, a confusing semi-biological sewer system of darkness and nightmares, where few dare to go. This was developed off of reoccurring locations in my dreams.

Strangeverse (a play on the word Metaverse) is a story based on a newly discovered facet of the Internet. Digital Entities, or Entities, roam around, with varying levels of intelligence, and different objectives. Humans only recently became aware of this digital landscape, and are learning how to interface with this strange new discovery that evolved off of the digital world. I came up with this to actually explain what Stranger, my main sona online, is.

My Steven Universe AU, which has yet to adopt a better moniker, is a rewriting and rethinking of the science and psychology behind the Gempire. With explanations as to their society, a rethinking on the Diamonds, their technology, and many other facets, it's a huge rework of the entire narrative and universe. This was created because I actually wanted to rewrite just Sunstone initially. It ended up expanding out into other stories to explore other aspects, finally resulting in this whole remake, which I wish to share.

Ade Black is a story about a human in a world of monsters disguised as humans, who try to mesh with society. They make a deal with an entity, and try to mesh with monster society, which the entity alerted them to the existence of. But Ade is only a pawn in something much bigger, and becomes the catalyst for tons of destruction and disaster, which ravages both worlds. This is a character cannibalized from a roleplay I was in, called City of Palidia.

Reverse Horror takes place in a universe that is twisted, where everything is horrifying and monstrous. It follows five friends, who are simply hanging out, until strange sightings start. Two-legged creatures, all looking very similar, are changing their people into them. I made this in wanting to reverse the standard horror narrative.

Maid Kingdoms is about a feudal society with minor gods and powerful beasts roaming the land. In this universe, a Maid is not strictly a servant who cleans the house, but a specialized servant. There are Battle Maids, Chef Maids, Gardener Maids, etc. It follows a specific castle, where intrigue follows the everyday lives of castle members.

There is more, but these are the few major ones. I wanna keep posting about these, and this is a synopsis. I am only now realizing just how Tumblr and blog sites work, so yay me. I am excited to share.

Remember that Doctor Strange AU we had going on at one point. I swear I'm still trying to write the next part because it is a very visually fun AU. I was wondering, what magical artifact do you think Selene would have? I was trying to think of one for Olwyn too but my Doctor Strange knowledge is, unfortunately, limited. XD

(I asked J about this because he legit reads the comics but when i was like ‘hey what items from the strangeverse are fire or moon based’ he totally blanked so i googled it and am taking this from the wiki instead.)

After looking through Doctor Strange’s equipment, I really like the Atlantean Dreamwave for her! According the wiki, it was used once in the 90s (what a waste) to explore the nightmares of Johnny Blaze and man I really like the idea of Selene having an item that pretty much turns her into a dream-walker a lot, and it opens up a lot of fun places to take the story.

Also if you’re looking for one for Olwyn, the Flames of the Faltine would be great for her! They’re a magical fire that Strange carries around as everlasting candles that help him travel through space and time, which sounds right up her alley!

Well I should probably make an au list for this guy.

His canon currently is @automaton-otto ‘s universe where he has become the knight of the Hanged Man.

Next is Strangeverse as we call it from @godfrey-industries where Daniel originated from and is employed by Yarbert Godfrey as a spy and pencil pusher.
