So Hirano is pretty much chill with Kagi clinging onto him and being touchy with each other, the lap pillow had no effects on him and sometimes he doesn't even get flustered when Kagi tells him he loves him
Yet in the ova one smile from Kagi is all it took for him to go:

Just received vol 3 of Sasaki to Miyano as birthday present and HOW THE HELL is it even POSSIBLE I hadn't noticed before that Sasaki holds a pink lollipop and Miyano a green "book"?
FIGHT ME, they were doomed to be dubbed by Yusuke Shirai (Ramuda) and Soma Saito (Gentaro)!

A Fever in Spring
Chapter 2: Winds That Blow
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4
Pairing(s): Sasaki x Miyano
Genre: Fluff
Chapter Word Count: 2K
Status: Ongoing
Chapter Summary: Stranded at the school with one umbrella, Miyano continues to dwell on Sasaki’s whispered confession while they make the trek home together.
EXCERPT
“I guess I kind of make BL out of a lot of people, I try not to do that with friends though Tashiro and Kuresawa make that hard pretty hard. That doesn’t necessarily make them-” Miyano rationalized before realizing he’d not answered the question that hung between them. “Call it a head canon. I don’t know what people like, I’m not really an expert on dating or anything. But in some ways I guess it’s nice to think of a manga playing out in real life.” Miyano didn’t expect to meet Sasaki’s gaze so suddenly and made it a point to direct his attention forward. “Could you be like that, Senpai?”
A/N: this chapter can kind of be read as a stand-alone though there’s more to come.
Miyano leaned against the wall separating he and Sasaki restlessly. “How did we end up like this? The situation itself, under normal circumstances wouldn’t be so bad but this doesn’t feel.. normal. This feels too much like a story line I’ve read before. ‘Two MC’s find themselves alone and what happens, happens’.” he thought exasperatedly. Surely, at this point, the blush that spread down to his neck glowed neon as it seemingly shot steam out of his ears. “THAT’S NOT WHAT’S HAPPENING HERE. I’m just waiting for my senpai.. who came to save me from the rain.. because he cares and thought I needed protecting?” He groaned lowly as he pulled his bag to his chest and rolled back and forth along the wall in an overstimulated tizzy. “This is not seme behavior!” he whined internally. “Not that that’s what this is!”
“I guess he’s saving me now. At least we’ll get to share an umbrella.” Sasaki smiled wistfully as he peeled off his wet clothes. His heart was still racing from running earlier so he took care to dry himself slowly. He knew Miyano was just outside and couldn’t help but feel a sense of calm tinged with excitement. He’d felt like a fool showing up with his crumpled umbrella but the look on Miyano’s face was worth the sprint. “So priceless, he was so cute” he chuckled, drying his hair before throwing on his track suit.
Out of nowhere, thunder cracked ominously and rolled loudly sending the hallway lights flickering. Miyano’s eyes shot open wildly, shocked from his spiraling by the abrupt noise. Instinctively, he threw a hand toward the changing room door as Sasaki happened to open it which sent him falling sideways into his senpai’s chest.
Sasaki steadied him by the shoulder reassuringly. “That scare you too, huh? We should hurry before it starts lightening. Who knows what could happen with this crazy weather.”
“Yea, crazy weather..” For once, Miyano was glad to not lock eyes with Sasaki. “Why did I automatically reach for him like that!? If he was also scared, why wasn’t he the one falling all over himself? Senpai is just cool. That’s it, he is cool and I just.. look up to him.”
At the entrance of the school, they braced themselves for their usual trek. Miyano opened the umbrella to shield their exit and was shocked by how cold it felt outside. “You ran through this?”
“It was nothing! It was kind of refreshing honestly. I can’t remember the last time I was that carefree. After the umbrella blew inside out I was frustrated for a second but it was pretty funny. Plus, I still got to see you, after all.. Why don’t you let me hold the umbrella, Mya-chan.”
“That’s just like you, Senpai. You would laugh through something like that. I’ve got it. I-I’m walking you home after all.” Miyano’s grip on the umbrella tightened inadvertently. The rain pitter-pattered relentlessly as they began to set out.
“ - ya know.”
“I didn’t quite hear you, the rain is too loud.” Miyano strained.
“This is just like before, ya know. But the last time I held the umbrella for you. I suppose we’re always in a pattern of returning each others kindness.” Sasaki beamed, slightly louder to compete with the onslaught coming down around them.
“I-I suppose you’re right.” Miyano mused aloud. He’d be worried Sasaki hadn’t heard him if Sasaki weren’t already staring at him. “That’s all this is. Just kindness and pleasantries with a sprinkle of manga here and there. It’s not like that,” he decided.
“Oh! That manga you lent me before break, it had another volume, didn’t it? I forgot to return it to you but I really enjoyed reading it. The main character was adorable in a kind of inept sort of way. Like, lacking self awareness, more than usual. I was almost worried the two wouldn’t end up together.”
“Yes! I actually have the next volume with me. I’ll give it to you when I drop you off since you don’t have anywhere to put it. The series was kind of a slow burn but that made it really rewarding when they finally figured everything out. I really enjoyed their dynamic as well.”
“There it is, it’s so cute the way he lights up when he talks about something he loves. He gets so excited and a lot less self conscious when he’s in his element. I’m glad that he shares this side of himself with me.” Sasaki readjusted the bag that held his wet clothes over his shoulder knowing that, once Miyano began to yammer about BL, his voice would fill the silence.
“I feel like he really wrestled with his feelings for a long time but, in the end, I think they were meant to be together. They kind of balanced each other out. When the seme said that stuff like ‘as long as it’s you, I know I’ll be happy,’ I think it really changed the uke’s perspective.”
“- of you.”
“Sasaki-senpai, I missed that. What did you say?” Miyano said leaning in.
“He sort of reminded me of you. Dark haired and cute like you, I mean.”
“Please don’t compare me to BL.” Miyano dead panned darkly which only caused Sasaki to laugh harder. “Tha-thats what I mean, you’re so cute, Mya-chan.”
“This is more like we were before. Sure, he says weird stuff but he’s just joking. We’re just comfortable. Like a senpai and kohai would be. Nothing weird about this.” Just as suddenly as the rain started, it seemed to taper down into a steady drizzle.
Sasaki stretched a hand out from below the umbrella feeling the cold rain kiss his palm. “Did you ever find out what Hirano had planned with his roommate?”
Miyano craned the umbrella forward ever so slightly to keep Sasaki covered while trying to stay in step with his long legs. He could feel cold rain sliding down the nape of his warm neck. “No, I didn’t want to interrupt them but I hope I can get it out of him tomorrow. I’ve definitely thought about it all afternoon.”
“Do you really think they’re like that, Mya-chan?” Sasaki looked over to Miyano thoughtfully crafting a response. His eyes traveled slowly across his face knowing he was lost in fudanshi land. He studied the way his bangs lightly swept across his brows and how his brown eyes seemed to shine with the flicker of street lights that shone ahead. The softness of his face had been a huge insecurity for Miyano in the past so Sasaki felt a little guilty with how taken he was by his looks. He knew his affection was deeper than that but surely, Miyano being so attractive was an added bonus.
A gust of wind howled much to the dismay of two women who also found themselves at the mercy of the mercurial weather. “Oh my, that sent my skirt straight up!” one of them shrilled.
Immediately, Miyano turned to face Sasaki, curious as to where his gaze might be in that moment. He was shocked to see that he was still unabashedly staring back at him. He could feel a familiar heat nip at his cheeks and averted his eyes accordingly. Feebly, he held a hand up as if to wipe his nose, hoping it was enough of a camouflage as he allowed more space to grow between them. Raindrops dampened his shoulder the further he withdrew from the umbrella’s safety. “Why was he looking at me? If I were walking with anyone else and they overheard that, Kuresawa notwithstanding, I’m pretty sure they’d be breaking their necks to see so why was Sasaki senpai looking at me...? Wait, why was I looking at Senpai?”
The wind carried back the violent rain that initially prompted Sasaki’s return to school. It bore down aggressively sending streams down the back of Miyano’s uniform and causing his grip to falter. Sasaki’s hand seemed to find his just as quickly, steadying the umbrella.
“So.. cold.” Miyano didn’t immediately shake away Sasaki’s hand, instead he was stunned by the gentle grasp that seemed to sear his skin. Intuitively, he knew Sasaki’s hand was cold and slightly clammy but surely he wasn’t imagining the heat either. He couldn’t tell if he was simply hot with embarrassment but, as Sasaki’s lingering hand began to pull away, Miyano could still feel every finger.
“That was unexpected. Mya-chan, are you getting wet? Kinda defeats the purpose of the umbrella. Come closer.” Sasaki felt bold. He worried about a blush creeping across his cheeks but knew it’d be nowhere near as intense as Miyano’s as he snaked his arm around his shoulders and brought him closer to the center of their shared space.
Miyano’s brows furrowed as he indexed every BL manga he’d read for what it meant to burn like this. For the first time that afternoon, he felt present in his surroundings. Closer to Sasaki, there was a faint sweetness the humidity seemed to magnify. He panned his features, coursing over the definition of his Adam’s apple to the sharp cut of his chin and jaw. His eyes followed his upturned lips to his pointed nose and watched as the warm eyes staring down at him sparkled. He noticed the surprising length of his full lashes and how that one cowlick, barely visible from this angle, hung over his bangs languidly. The rain beating against the umbrella and shattering into puddles around them created deafening white noise which he hoped would mask the sound of his own racing pulse. He absently allowed himself to be shepherded by Sasaki until he snapped out of it. “I should not find a solution in a BL!” he thought in a huff.
“Senpai, you don’t have to-“
“Hup!” An errant wind sent the umbrella inside out. Miyano stared blankly at Sasaki, taken aback once again by the turn of events. “Mya-chan, we’re almost there, let’s run!” Sasaki grinned, captivated by Miyano’s bemused expression. He reached for his hand, flashing a fang before turning away from him. He’d not been so fortunate to have had so much contact with Miyano and while the joy threatened to overflow, he was elated to run off this sudden spurt of energy.
Miyano was fast but he couldn’t match Sasaki’s gait and, eventually, their hands pulled apart as they both sought refuge at the station. Hunched over, they stood on the empty platform catching their breath, both inexplicably smiling despite their questionable luck.
“Guess.. you ran.. all this way… for nothing,” Miyano gasped.
“But.. at least we.. had fun,” Sasaki breathed, slapping Miyano on the back gingerly.
Miyano straightened up and pushed his wet hair out of his face. He beamed at Sasaki while clutching a stitch in his side. “You’re right.. it was surprisingly refreshing.”
“Full Face Miyano, critical hit!” Sasaki squealed internally. As their train arrived, Sasaki knew no amount of running would relieve the tightness in his chest. That last hand hold completely spoiled any possibility that he’d be able to carry on as usual. Miyano stepped onto the train, still holding the remains of the lost and found umbrella as Sasaki called out to him.
“Miyano! I-I like you. I hope that’s okay.”
Miyano stood there frozen for a moment, uncertain of the face he was making. He’d never been confessed to, not properly, and definitely not by a guy.
“Track 7, doors closing. For your own safety, please stay behind the white line.”
The doors closed between them and the train crept away from the station leaving Sasaki to fade from Miyano’s sight.
Hope you enjoyed, let me know your thoughts!
