Little mermaid au- old art but might as well share my rouge design

She managed to get herself stuck as Maria and Shadow’s babysitter as penance for being caught trying to steal the crown jewels.

It’d be easy the king said, she’d barely have to do anything the king said. On the day Rouge starts babysitting she finds their treasure trove and she realises she her work out for her.

She said that she’d tell King Gerald… but she was willing to ‘accidentally’ omit their little collection if they found some shiny treasure and slipped some of it to her~

So… i made a little mermaid au for comedy reasons

In short summary:

Maria loves to research humans but Shadow isn’t into it but he’s still supportive, Sonic is prince Eric and Shadow only saved him cuz his sister begged him to, Gerald finds out about Maria’s collection and destroys it, Shadow goes to the sea witch to get legs and retrieve human items from the land to make things up to Maria for accidentally leading Gerald to them, Maria stops Shadow before he signs and states that she’s going to go with him so they both get legs and have a year for one of them to receive true love’s kiss from the prince or else they become robotisized

Shenanigans ensue

You’re welcome ! I don’t know why I didn’t start doing it earlier tbh. Tumblr is really nice to regroup stuff with tags etc, but so is AO3, and AO3 is only fandom-coded so most people tend to look for stuff here. I hope more artists will think to at least regroup links to their various works. It’s always such a good feeling to me when I find an artist I love and it’s easy to find more of their work for a piece of media I like ;;;

Haha I've gotten lots of funny comments I think but one that comes to mind basically boiled down to HOW COULD YOU MAKE ME LIKE THIS? WHO ARE YOU?????

It wasn't about some weird kink or anything, it was about them not liking romance stories. I think it was for A question of lust. Made me feel like a bad influence (in a good way) lmao, getting people into romance...

🙅‍♀️ What is one trope you refuse to ever write?

Oh I have a few... mafia au, mermaid au, time travel fix it, retelling of canon from another character's perspective... anything set in the b/oruto universe... anything too angsty lmao like major character death

📚 What grammar mistakes do you always make?

Hmm I think my main problem is that I miss typing out words in the first draft. Or like, accidental typos like dropping a letter or sth. The difference between lie/lay is a bit hard. I've always been pretty meticulous about grammar and I studied English very hard lol so I like to think I don't make any major mistakes consistently. I'm sure I direct translate from Swedish sometimes though and end up with sth that sounds weird. I make sooo many typos when I chat with people in English but when writing fic I take more care heh. But if anyone's noticed anything please tell me, I want to improve...

Because I write in English a lot for work, and I have to write much more formally for it, Word tends to tell me I'm wrong everytime I write sth like "haven't" instead of "have not" so there's always looots of little red squiggly lines haha

I only have one sambucky fic for now, but I'm def gonna write more in the future. It's an angel au based on my angel wing headcanon and it includes some Alpine and Redwing banter :3

The next category I've got sth for are fics for an event. I've got quite a few of those. There's all the fics I've written for Suptober/Whumptober 2020 (some additional Suptober ones I didn't post on ao3: Day 12, Day 7 (this one would've also counted for character being dads — I totally forgot about it), Day 2) and for Whumpay 2021.

Then there's the fics I wrote for @starrynightdeancas's 2k follower celebration:

I'm not sure I've got a presumed dead fic, but I do have a fic in which a character is revealed to be ghost. Does that count?

also I'm gonna give you this dead May fic bc I'm quite proud of it:

First: For this aspect, I really wanted to leave it to the reader’s imagination but my mom lectured me today morning on how that’s no fun and how that makes me a bad writer so no....Seonghwa isn’t bullying the reader but he is mistreating her¿ Does that make sense? Like in the one shot as well, I tried to show a glimpse of how Seonghwa was treating the reader...

Second: WHY NOT OMG ASHSHFNG 🥰 but the only merimaid au I know is the little mermaid one so since they used rocks there, I used rocks here as the main piece of furniture as well... but hey, in your version of this fic, anything can happen 🤷🏻‍♀️

Third: OOoOoOoh okay, I struggled so much with this part...I wasn’t quite sure where to take it? I wanted to make the transition as realistic as possible (as realistic as a mermaid au can get) but like it was difficult...so I’m going to say no, Yeosang cannot turn the reader into a mermaid but I will tell you this, a siren can turn a human into a siren *wink* Jongho *wink*

Fourth: We still don’t know...ahh now that you’ve asked me these questions, I really want to make a sequel and a prequel...I’ve left it more open ended that I intended to...but see, Hongjoong was concerned about Yeosang’s involvement with the reader ever since Wooyoung snitched 🥰 but don’t forget that San also supports Yeosang so...

I got so giggly when I saw that you were going to ask the questions hehe

Should I make a sequel and a prequel? 👀 that’s only if you want to know about the reader and Seonghwa’s + Yeosang and his brothers’ history and then if you want to know about their future and how Hongjoong acts/will act

She’s very interested in land folk artefacts and loves to collect and study them, much to her grandfather’s chagrin. Her illness can make gathering artefacts difficult at tines but she’s determined all the same and Shadow is a big help to her in those cases even though he doesn’t get the appeal of land folk.

Patient with students? and seeing em improving it's so damn satisfying. The girl I was tutoring just a few months ago sent me a text with the results of her exams (much more than she expected) and she was so happy, and I felt so proud :') Also, you kinda pumped me a lot so I brainstormed a bit for the Venice au but I remember only the creepy legends (imma tell you some btw), so today I'm searching for the ones (I'm sure there are!!) that I can't remember very well n are more... ethereal? -2

I think those will fit min better :') so, there are a few nice stories: one's about the devil building a bridge (that really exists, it's next to my high school building) in just a night, and to do that he forgot to put the railing on the sides (it's indeed a very weird looking bridge ahaha). Another one is about an ancient palace (Ca' Dario) where during the centuries all its inhabitants died in very bloody, very suspicious ways (for real,it's documented) and so now nobody lives there anymore 3

But my fave is about an incident that happened around 80 years ago: So, our cemetery is set in a whole island (for health motives ofc), and one very foggy night a boat accidentally get lost near there, and it was so dark that it didn't see two gondolas (peculiar venetian boats) and so it crashed em, making 4 women fall in the water. 3 died: their corpses have been found in the next weeks, drown. Yet, after all these years, they still need to find the last one (a baby girl). However, -4

It's said that during foggy nights, if you go near the cemetery, you can see a small coffin floating on the water :-) as you can see these things are too creepy for Jimin ahaha, man, I remember sth about sea fairies helping the sailors tho, gotta search this for good eheh *flies a kiss* (5/5)

DID TUMBLR SERIOUSLY EAT SO MANY MESSAGES JFC ;;; christ I love fairy jin!! idk why, but I’m also thinking of giving him some sort of... deadly beauty, maybe his charms can have a bit of creepiness under them, sort of like mermaids :’) and I do feel like I can enjoy teaching!! thankfully my kid is very motivated to raise his grades but it must be a struggle if you have a student who doesn’t even want to try. I try to teach things in an easy way though, I’ve had too many teachers who speak to their students as if they already knew everything and that just makes their heads hurt. I usually start explaining things in a very simple, dumbed down manner haha, and the more I see him understanding things I slowly start raising the level of my explanations. whenever he goes ‘yeah I got that’ I speed up a little and I think that works very well for the both of us :D but yes seeing them happy with the results feels very relieving!! you must have felt so proud as well hehe

UHM I LOVE THE CEMETERY STORY. That’s sooooo intriguing and it could definitely work so well in a story! you want to make it very suspenseful, then? sort of like the underlying mysteries under the charming city of venice. god, you could start this as a fanfic but it could very well work for a book too, I’d definitely buy it even if it’s in italian 😂 good luck with your research!! I’m studying but I’ll try to brainstorm for seokjin in my free time ^^
