I'm making my own cleric spell cards for a Steinhardt campaign I'm in.

I'm using a Clow Cards-esque design since these are just for me, with the spell details on the back.

This is the first just-for-me project I've done since starting my business. It's been fun not having to worry about all the little details I do when making art to sell.

God dungeons and dragons is so fucking lame, I was looking through some third party stuff for 5e and I hate this shit so much

"You become one with the eldritch truth yadayadayada TWO CANTRIPS AND A SPELL" Like god forbid anyone be able to do something fucking COOL in our fantasy game or these shitty rules fall apart at the seams. I know this is 3rd party but you notice this kind of paltry bullshit everywhere in D&D and D20 systems as a whole once you start playing another system and your players start doing JJK shit after a year of progression

Another spell card for my cleric in Steinhardt's Guide to the Eldritch Hunt! I make my spell cards with a unique picture on the front, and the spell abilities on the back.

More details on the thought process behind this one under the read more!

I had fun with this one as I don't typically draw monsters.

My character is a nebulare demidritch. For those of you unfamiliar with The Eldritch Hunt, demdritch are basically biblically accurate half-angels, the nebulare specifically look like their skin is made of constellations against a night sky.

So, with this in mind I wanted her Guardian Angel to be something like a black hole in the shape of a person, with extra arms extending out from the back that mimic the shape of wings.

The halo was supposed to look a bit like the halo seen around actual black holes, but the bright orange ended up not looking right and I had to tone it down.

Actually painting a black hole and having the shape make sense was. A challenge. I still can't tell if I succeeded but, hey, not making sense is eldritch in and of itself right?

Honestly I love that this world has outer space themed eldritch stuff. I think outer space really lends itself well to the idea of incomprehensible horrors. It's been a blast leaning into the idea of what that would look like, even if monsters & horror aren't my forte!
