Broadway productions I want to experience live again:

- 2013 Pippin revival with Patina Miller as the Lead Player (and half the cast were Cirque de Soleil veterans)

- Deaf West Spring Awakening (!!!!!!!!!!!)

- Angels in America with Andrew Garfield and Lee Pace

#most iconic broadway productions of my young adulthood probably #altho it feels like im missing something important #when i tell you i saw pippin on bway 4x #back when the rush policy was more reasonable and i didnt care as much about money #i feel like im forgetting something important. but if it were that important i wouldnt forget it. right?#anyway all of these shows hit me in my emotional sweet spot #deaf west spring awakening was hands down the best thing i've seen on broadway or anywhere else #best live production of anything ever. so fucking good

I was at a theatre competition today, and it's held at this one performing arts school in my county, and a teacher was retiring so they were selling old vocal selections books for pretty cheap (6 bucks a peice, whenever I find them new their like 15-30)

i had a bit of disdain for spring awakening (bway bc i STILL cant find a full boot of the dwsa) the first time i watched it like i thought it was exploitative and it turned me off it. and theres DEFINITELY still parts (the sex scene. thats the one im talking about) that are kindof in poor taste but overall i think its a good show with really really good choreography and music that hits its message home well. also johnathan groff circa 2007 is...well you see hes. um
