Not art but ima ramble about art- Ignore if you’d like.
TLDR: Dyslexic Spoot rambles way to long about art, and such. Wisdoms and such cause I’m so old and fossilized.
..
..
Honestly, I’ve been playing around with styles and what kind of art makes me as a person happy. Stuff I can be proud of. I’m probably going to try to really push the limits of what I can do in the coming week or so. To see if I can really develop a style that makes me happy, I’ll implore any artist that sees this to do the same. Ima push myself out of my comfort zone, as much as I’m comfortable doing with my art style. I’m also going to try to not be scared to do something in a piece. And if it comes out bad it comes out bad.
Who cares if it’s cringe, I mean an artist is always going to be their own worst critic. Which is okay, what’s not(in my opinion) okay is if you let that critic take over your love of art. And make it so you are almost creatively paralyzed(or burnout), which is something I’ve delt a lot with in the past.
I mean at the end of the day, no one’s stuck with you but you. So why not do what makes you happy? My opinion on art is that if you’re not happy doing what you’re doing, you’re doing something wrong.(if that makes sense.) wether that be that your making yourself draw what you think people will like but doesn’t make you happy, or heck even doing art at all not making you happy. Taking a deep dive into why you’re not happy with your art(if you’re not happy with it that is) can really help, and it’s something I’m trying to do as well.
Anyway! That was just something I felt like I should say, it’s pretty fun being anonymous online isn’t it?
-Genuine Regards, Spootie boi

I love the d&d outer planes they would be so good if they didn't SUCK!! Anyways here's a nerdy and very personally opinioned ramble about them from a guy who's barely gotten to DM before, mostly just based on what I know from the DMG. If there's any stories that do something more interesting with them I'd like to hear about it!! I have no idea where some wikis are getting the rest of their lore lmao
The main ones like the 9 Hells, Celestia, Mechanus etc are good settings but the ones in-between alignments are just like. Really empty-feeling from what I've read of them?? The only ones I like that much in their base worldbuilding is the Beastlands and Gehenna, and besides that like. What plot hooks and adventures could you make out of Acheron. They work as worldbuilding for the most part, but have so much wasted potential as settings to explore in the corners of the universe
The good-neutral ones (Arcadia & Ysgard) versus the neutral-evil ones (Acheron & Pandemonium) just don't feel that neutral-aligned? They're both very nice/bad places. In fact Carceri seems more Lawful Evil than Chaotic Evil, and vice-versa for Acheron, from what little we're given from them. Honestly I just think the base books don't have many well written Neutral monsters and settings alike tbh.
Which gets into Limbo. I know lots of people like the concept behind Limbo but I feel like you could make Elemental Chaos the exact same thing. It's nowhere near as distinct as Mechanus, and also I love the design and concept of the Slaadi but they are NOT the embodiment of Chaotic Neutral they should be (I promise I don't usually take alignment that seriously I just think their role in the planes is potentially interesting yk TvT). Personally I like reflavoring Limbo as a surreal alien infested void that spoots out new, highly volatile critters for no reason that don't look like living things, and could mess up the order of the world if they create something especially law-defying.
I may be biased since I don't like the Abyss aesthetic much, but I really don't like how they're supposed to be Devils opposites as infinite creatures without hirearchy!! Then the book tells you the hierarchy they follow anyways. GUAH. They should be more varied and customizable like humanoids are right? Opposed to Devils being molded to whatever form Hell needs to serve Hell's hirearchy, no two Demons are the same brand of evil. Mine are inspired by Journey to the West type demons: they have similar broad weaknesses and abilities but their personalities are all distinct, they're out for themselves, and they tend to have one special skill.
Stuff like those who go to the Nine Hells or the Abyss presumably becoming fiends but few other planes having unique creatures to them is just kinda weird. Like some of these just don't make sense as afterlives like they're said to be, and I think having distinct inhabitants of each plane would make them work better. Imagine the type of person who tows the line between chaotic neutral and evil filling up Pandemonium and what kind of creature their spirits would be, or what kinds of celestials occupy Chaotic Good Arborea, there's some fun stuff there! Also im a little gayboy who likes it when heaven is weird about free will in stories and I want more Lawful creatures following that pattern like Angels and Modrons do with more Chaotic ones as foils you get me
Uh yea that was my dumb lil planes rant, they're one of my favorite things to use in game settings just building off the concepts but I usually add a whole bunch first. I've been planning to draw some of my ideas for planar entities too (like Acheron being where tragic heroes and vengeful spirits fight in perpetual Kill Bill fashion or Pandemonium having coral guys who fuse and unfuse into monstrosities over and over. There's POTENTIAL guys. hough)

The Art of Painting Literature
You know I get strange looks when people discover that my dream in life is to become an editor. No one hears about famous editors or rich ones for that matter so why would I chose such a career as opposed to something more profitable. The answer is art.
Sounds strange doesn’t it? It’s not really. You see, grammar is not as strict as most English teachers would have you believe. Grammar is flexible, prone to perspective, just as a painting is.
Most art lovers can look at a painting and see the wait each particular artist within them. It could be the brush strokes or the color pallet. Regardless, each painting is different. Each painting is unique and beautiful in its own way. One may feel dark and gloomy while another is bright and energetic. Why is it that we consider these things when looking at a painting but not a work of literature?
I suppose that I don’t see the difference between a painting and a work of literature. Each writing had their own style, their own feel, their own brush strokes. Some writings will overuse comma, creating long beautiful descriptive sentences that flow continuously throughout a whole paragraph, similar to the style of Edvard Munch’s paintings. Others may be more technical, avoiding commas as best they can and creating short concise sentences that dot break up a paragraph link an impressionist painting by Monet.
Regardless of style or preference each of these writers pour themselves onto the page just as painters do. The see these beautiful landscapes and stories but instead of applying paint to canvas they choose to use ink on paper. The create fantastical worlds of magic that we could never make on our own and share it with the population. They express beauty and suspense just as the best painters do!
So, why is it so strange to view writings as an equally beautiful artform? Why is it so strange that I dream of becoming an editor? I think its all a matter of perspective and the best part is that as an editor I get to glimpse the wondrously stunning works of art before the rest of the word. How can you say no to that?

Okay but why DO people in ARC-V think the Yuuboys look exactly the same?
(prepare for a whole-ass essay of rambling about Zarc Shenanigans and Episode 124)
I mean, it happens with the Bracelet Girls too, but in my opinion they do look pretty alike, not necessarily enough to justify all of the mix-ups but at least you can see it.
But the Yuuboys? Maybe it’s just their flamboyant hairstyles and outfits, but to me they look almost completely different. Here, look at this picture:
Tumblr media
Yuto and Yuya look somewhat similar, but only when they’re making the same facial expression. However, Yuuri and Yugo look completely different from the others. Yugo’s eyes are a totally different shape, and Yuuri has both different eyes and...eyebrows...
So, why? Why does it happen, time and time again? I was thinking about this and out of the haze of sleepiness and ARC-V vibes spooted a really bad theory that I’m going to mention anyways even though it doesn’t make sense really
Okay so in episode 124 that cool thing happened where Yuto and Yuya actually switched places, putting Yuto in control. But here’s the thing. Right at the end of the episode, we see the evil Doctor guy viewing the Duel on his big screen. But the one on it was not who you might expect...
Tumblr media
At this point, Yuto is still in control, shouldn’t he show up? At the very least, Yuya’s eyes should change color like in Episode 104. But nope, neither of those things happen. How could that be...?
Here’s my idea: The visuals from the switch are actually some sort of psychological effect exerted by Zarc’s power, somehow. This would at least partially explain how a few people have been able to sorta see Yuto’s spirit on occasion, or at least get a sense of him being there. So the switch doesn’t show up on video because it’s not really happening the way it looks like it is? I think.
So, if this sorta thing is some sort of psychological effect exerted by Zarc’s power, somehow, then maybe the reason everyone thinks the Yuuboys look the same works a similar way? In a certain sense, they’re all the same person, all with the same power inside. And that causes them to be perceived as way more alike than they would otherwise.  Basically: They all have the same Zarc Vibes.
listen i know there’s no direct evidence for it but this stuff doesn’t really make sense without some sorta theory and this is what i’ve got
