do you like candy corn? I do. I can’t wait until I’m able to eat normally again cause I have a bag of Funfetti candy corn waiting for me.  favorite halloween candy? My normal faves like Reese’s, KitKats, M&Ms, etc but Halloween themed, ha. And candy corn, obvs.  do you like pickled vegetables? I like pickles.  favorite fruit? least favorite fruit? Bananas are my favorite and pretty much the only one I ever eat. I don’t like oranges or tangerines at all.  what is the strangest food combination you like? I eat my scrambled eggs with ranch and Pizza Rolls with mustard. I like tater tots with mustard, too.
what is your favorite snack? Chips and dip.  what did you have for lunch today? Nothing, yet, it’s only 12:29AM.  do you usually eat breakfast? I got in a good habit of that for most of this year until I had the breathing tube put in and could no longer eat. I can finally eat some things, one of them being Cream of Wheat, so I’ll be having that now.  favorite dipping sauce for chicken strips? Ranch usually, but it depends on the place. Like, if I go to Chick-Fil-A I get Chick-Fil-A sauce and if I go to Raising Cane’s I’ll have their dipping sauce.  do you like sweet potato fries? I do.  least favorite vegetable? Most of them to be honest. The only veggies I eat is spinach, potatoes, green onions, broccoli, green beans, and corn.  favorite vegetable? The ones I listed above.  do you like chocolate and mint together? Mmm, yes.  have you ever dipped fries in a milkshake? Yep.  favorite flavor of gum? Mint. what was your favorite food as a kid? Pizza and chicken nuggets.  favorite fast food place? Jack in the Box, Taco Bell, Chick-Fil-A, Raising Cane’s, Carl’s Jr.  favorite soda? Coke, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, and various flavors of each.  least favorite soda? Root Beer.  do you like sweet or unsweet tea? I like to add a little sugar to mine.  how do you like your coffee? (or do you drink coffee at all?)) Hot, with either flavored creamer or cream and sugar.  do you like bubble tea? I like milk tea, but not the boba.  do you like curry? I can’t eat spicy food.  favorite type of cuisine? Italian.  favorite sandwich? Turkey or bologna with provolone or Colby Jack cheese, mayo, mustard, spinach, and sandwich oil with a pickle on the side. favorite cheese? I love a variety of cheeses.  have you ever been vegan or vegetarian? No.
favorite breakfast cereal? All the sugary ones, basically. what do you eat when you're sick? Not much honestly, but I try to make myself have some toast and soup.  favorite thanksgiving dish? I love the main meal, which for us consists of turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, and rolls, but honestly the appetizers are probably my favorite. We put out like a charcuterie board, chips and a few different dips, sourdough bread with a few spreads, and deviled eggs.  favorite salad dressing? Ranch and balsamic vinaigrette.  what are you currently craving? I can’t wait until I’m able to have my Wingstop again.  Snickers or Milk Way? I like both.  have you ever had chocolate covered gummy bears? Yes.  pulp or no pulp orange juice? Blech, neither.  beans or no beans in your chili? Beans.  favorite burger condiments? Ranch, mayo, mustard, BBQ sauce, olive oil, pesto, balsamic vinaigrette, black pepper... there’s likely more but yeah. I’m a total condiments/dips/sauce kinda gal.  do you like peanut butter? Yes.  what flavor of jelly/jam is your favorite? Grape.  favorite flavor of potato chips? Original, sour cream and onion, cheddar and sour cream, BBQ.  how do you like your eggs cooked? Just about every way to be honest, but I have scrambled eggs and over-easy eggs most often.  favorite kind of soup? Ramen, French onion, and broccoli and cheddar.  do you like cold pizza? I did when I was younger, but not so much anymore.  do you like sour candy? No. what food do you absolutely refuse to eat? Seafood.

It’s been a minute!
I’m basically just wanting to list foods he likes because right now he basically refuses to let you feed him, so finding baby (toddler? Pre-toddler?) safe food he can feed himself, that works with his allergy, that he likes, that ideally wont cause a massive mess has been a task
-asparagus (ideally roasted with garlic, but he’ll eat it raw- we had a good time playing with it [put it into the pan, take it out, play swords, pretend it’s a telephone] after my “how about you wash it and get involved with dinner prep and learn life skills whilst having fun at the same time!” thing blew up into a spectacular massacre of spilt water and asparagus fronds and shards everywhere)
-zucchini (roasted or pan fried demi rounds or breaded into knock off zoo sticks)
-toasts (with peanut butter, pesto, hummus, etc. the white bean spread I made was less successful but whatever.) this is my go-to and I need to branch out
-dad’s banana pancakes
-quinoa (cooked with strained tomatoes, red pepper flakes, paprika. Mashed up with coconut yogurt or mayonnaise into little balls he can pick up. This is still messy, but not insurmountably so. Usually.)
-pasta (ideally penne. Ideally with dad’s sauce and chunks of veggie Italian sausage)
-mashed sweet potato (with or without coconut yogurt)
-mashed potatoes (ideally with garlic smashed in)
-tomato based things
-tater tots
he likes spicy sauces, garlic, fried shit..
he liked vinegar peppers for a bit until he didn’t
maybe time to branch out and try braised fennel or roasted brussel sprouts? It’s very annoying and demoralizing to cook for him and have him throw it on the floor. It’s stressful trying to figure out wtf he’ll like that at least alludes to health
dislikes:
-salad greens (I think he miiiight like a crisp spear of romaine heart with a garlicky vinaigrette, but who wants to have that shit rotting in their fridge hoping you’ll get around to it?)
-Earth’s Own brand soy milk
-stuff I either didn’t know or forgot about until it’s too late

About Gannon’s Restaurant
Voted one of the Top 100 Best Outdoor Dining Restaurants in America, Gannon’s Restaurant in Wailea is a celebration of the classic dishes for which Chef Beverly Gannon is best known from her award-winning Maui restaurants (Hali’imaile General Store and the former Joe’s Bar & Grill) and contemporary dishes inspired by the fresh local ingredients of Hawaii. The outdoor lanai features panoramic ocean views and spectacular sunsets and The Red Bar is always a lively gathering spot featuring an extended Happy Hour and live music on the weekends. Popular items at Gannon’s Restaurant include their Prawn Stuffed Crab Cakes, Cashew Crusted Mahi Mahi, Short Ribs, Loco Moco, and more.
According to these Gannon’s Maui patrons
“Happy Hour is great!! Food is delicious, had Brussel Sprouts, crab dip and Wagyu burger. Outside atmosphere and view is unbeatable.” Brad H., February 2023 “Gannon’s was recommended to us. And I’d say it was the best dining experience on our trip, hands down. Fantastic food, great drinks, attentive and friendly staff. And of course the beautiful setting. Definitely coming back.” Chris G., February 2023 “We had a large group that took some time to coordinate and Gannons was not only accommodating but flexible with us as the group increased in size. Everyone was kind and helpful from the first phone call to our last sip of wine as we departed, and you toss in great tasting food, generous portion sizes, a beautiful sunset and a place that welcomed kids, and you have achieved five stars! Thanks especially to Sidney and Cara for all of your help!” Bree L., February 2023 “Excellent sunset dinner with beautiful views of the ocean. This restaurant is located within Wailea Golf Club, which is a beautiful property overall. Friendly and attentive service from our server Cody throughout the evening along with the delicious food made for a nice memorable evening. Food quality and taste were good, as expected for a restaurant of this caliber – bbq pork ribs with slaw & pineapple salsa, Korean marinated strip loin with fried rice and cucumber pineapple salad, classic iceberg wedge salad.  Nice Asian flavors fused into the steak and ribs.  We enjoyed the dinner! Their famous coconut roulade dessert was ok- nice crumb on the cake and cream filling was good, but toasted coconut didn’t come through only plain coconut flavor. Great cocktail menu, very creative selections. Cocktails were excellent, strong, especially Mr.Tuttle and Strawberry Fizz.” Chris D., January 2023 “Gannons is an absolutely beautiful restaurant with incredible views! Perfect place to watch the sunset while you sip on Mai Tais and dine on Ahi Poke. Happy Hour options are awesome and a great price!” Amelia S., January 2023 “The concierge at our villas recommended Gannon’s for a family member’s special birthday dinner. We had delicious appetizers, main dishes, and special drinks to celebrate and enjoyed a fabulous sunset, too. Highly recommend Gannon’s.” Julie C., June 2021 Open daily, Gannon’s Restaurant is the perfect spot in Wailea for those looking for something unique and off-the-beaten-tourist-path. Happy hour at Gannon’s in Wailea takes place from 3pm-5pm Tuesday through Saturday in The Red Bar and features discounted beer, wine, cocktails, and appetizers.

Note
How much raw garlic and spicy onion do you eat to smell like four day old Hawaiian bbq?
"Actually, it's the mild garlics that are best eaten raw, or roasted. It's said to be a potent anti-infection remedy, actually. Spring garlic, you use as a substitute for many common seasoning vegetables, such as onions and leeks; I personally like it in an omelette. Garlic scapes are best in pesto. And the bulb of the elephant garlic---which is in fact not a garlic---is delicious roasted and works especially well in sauces, vinaigrettes and stir fries. And black garlic, ah, that is--- . . .where was I? Ah, yes. The type of garlic one eats raw, is not the strong kind. Your palate is clearly as unrefined as your wit."

A seasoning for every season. Clockwise from the top- Amritsari Chana Chaat (A spicy North Indian chickpea salad), Greek Autumn Salad (A healthy, crunchy sweet and savory green salad tossed in Mediterranean spices and basic olive oil vinaigrette), a creamy pesto spaghetti with assorted Italian mushrooms, and Oyster mushroom and babycorn Stirfry in Hunan Sauce.
Can my Baahubali friends guess which is Chef Devika's favourite dish from among these?

Fresh Herbs
Basil (also: Thai Basil) – Highly aromatic with a robust licorice flavor. Excellent in pestos, as a finishing touch on pasta dishes, or stuffed into sandwiches.
Chervil – Delicate anise flavor. Great raw in salads or as a finishing garnish.
Chives – Delicate onion flavor, great as a garnish.
Cilantro – From the coriander plant, cilantro leaves and stems have a pungent, herbaceous flavor. Used in Caribbean, Latin American, and Asian cooking.
Curry Leaves – These pungent leaves are not related to curry powder but impart a similar flavor. Used in Indian, Malaysian, Sri Lankan, Singaporean, and Pakistani cuisine. Used to flavor curries, soups, stews, and chutneys.
Dill – Light and feathery herb with a pungent herb flavor. Use it for pickling, with fish, and over potatoes.
Fenugreek – Although this herb smells like maple syrup while cooking, it has a rather bitter, burnt sugar flavor. Found in a lot of Indian and Middle Eastern dishes.
Lemon Thyme (also: Thyme) – Sweet lemon aroma and a fresh lemony-herbal flavor. This is excellent with poultry and in vinaigrettes.
Lovage – Tastes like a cross between celery and parsley. Great with seafood or to flavor stocks and soups.
Marjoram – Floral and woodsy. Try it in sauces, vinaigrettes, and marinades.
Mint – Surprisingly versatile for such an intensely flavored herb. Try it paired with lamb, peas, potatoes, and of course, with chocolate!
Oregano – Robust, somewhat lemony flavor. Used in a lot of Mexican and Mediterranean dishes.
Parsley – Available in flat-leaf (Italian) or curly varieties, this very popular herb is light and grassy in flavor.
Pink Pepper – Small and sweet, these berries are fantastic when marinated with olives or simply sprinkled on shortbread.
Rosemary – Strong and piney. Great with eggs, beans, and potatoes, as well as grilled meats.
Sage – Pine-like flavor, with more lemony and eucalyptus notes than rosemary. Found in a lot of northern Italian cooking.
Summer Savory – Peppery green flavor similar to thyme. Mostly used in roasted meat dishes and stuffing, but also goes well with beans.
Shiso – A member of the mint family, this herb is used extensively in Japanese, Korean, and Southeast Asian cooking as a wrap for steaming fish and vegetables, in soups, and as a general seasoning.
Tarragon – Strong anise flavor. Can be eaten raw in salads or used to flavor tomato dishes, chicken, seafood, or eggs.
Thai Basil (also: Basil) – A spicy, edgier cousin to sweet Italian basil. A must-have for Thai stir-fries, Vietnamese pho, spring rolls, and other South Asian dishes.
Thyme (also: Lemon Thyme) – Adds a pungent, woodsy flavor. Great as an all-purpose seasoning.

DELECTABLE RESTAURANT SANDWICHES
If you find yourself at work on a daily basis stumped for inspiration when it’s time for lunch don’t worry about a thing. You no longer have to order the same, average quick fix items because we have a list of some of the best sandwiches you can grab in your area. Read all about our top picks and write a couple down, put the list next to your computer and change things up for once! THE VOODOO SANDWICH – BAR LOUIE This is one of our favorites and you will soon see why. The Voodoo contains blackened chicken breast, pepper jack, andouille sausage, sautéed peppers and onions, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo all on a brioche bun. This comes served with fries just to make sure your state of “hangry” is over. CHICKEN, AVOCADO AND BACON SANDWICH – BLACK ANGUS Not sure there is much more to say about this sandwich that would sell it more, but we have to. Basically it’s a chicken breast, grilled and topped with Monterey Jack cheese, guacamole, tomato, Applewood-smoked bacon and creamy chipotle mayo. Sold. CALIOFORNIA TURKEY CLUB – CHILIS Go lean today with a turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, red onion, provolone, lettuce, cilantro-pesto mayo combo all on wheat Texas toast. Divine. MONTE CRISTO – TILTED KILT Dig into this glorious triple decked sandwich filled with ham, turkey, American and Swiss cheese. The whole thing is dipped in beer batter and fried. We are collectively salivating right now. GRILLED PORTOBELLO AND VEGGIE SANDWICH – DAVE AND BUSTERS This is a great allergy-free option as it contains Marinated, grilled Portobello mushroom, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, fresh spinach, oven-roasted tomatoes and garlic aioli on a toasted brioche bun. Served with baby greens tossed in Balsamic Herb Vinaigrette. DRUNKEN FISH SANDWICH – BAR LOUIE Apart from having the best name for a sandwich ever, you can get your seafood kick for the day with this delish dish. You have some beer-battered Alaskan cod, tartar coleslaw and pickles. All of that is topped with some fries and the sandwich itself is skewered with lemon. YUM! WHICKEY RIVER BBQ CHICKEN WRAP – RED ROBIN So we know that technically this isn’t a sandwich, but it really needed a mention. Combining all the best flavors of the Southwest into one tasty spinach tortilla you will find grilled chicken with tangy Whiskey River BBQ sauce, Cheddar cheese, lettuce, tortilla strips and a touch of ranch. Glorious, right? SPICY MOTHER CLUCKER – TILTED KILT Another creative name with a great flavor. This sandwich lets you choose from grilled or hand-breaded fried chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, red onion and our spicy buffalo sauce. Topped with ranch on a toasted brioche bun. Amazing. There you are friends, the eight best sandwich picks we have for you at the moment. Truth be told we are constantly looking for new inspiration when it comes to a good lunch time snack, so make sure to check back with us and have a look at our updated lists. If you HAD to become a teacher, what subject would you prefer to teach? I really don’t know. I don’t feel like I would be good at teaching anything. When was the last time you felt so ill, that you couldn't get out of bed? A couple of years ago. What was wrong with you? I was dealing with some health issues. What was the last compliment you received? I don’t recall. I don’t receive many compliments. Who gave it to you? --
Do any of your close friends have children? -- Do you think you'll have children within the next 5 years? I won’t have children ever.  Do you know anyone who is currently pregnant? I don’t think so. Have you ever had sex with the last person you text messaged. Uh, no... she’s my mom. Have you said or done anything in the past week, that you regret? Of course. It just wouldn’t be me if I didn’t. What colour are your socks? Black and white.
Where did you get the shoes you're wearing, or the last pair you wore? My dad got them for me for Christmas a few years ago. Who was the last person that confided in you about something? My mom. Do they often talk to you about personal issues? Yes. My mom and I are very close. Outside of family, how many people do you fully trust? Zero. How many different beverages have you had in the last 24 hours? Hot chocolate, water, coffee, and a blueberry Red Bull. Can you imagine getting married to the person you have feelings for? I don’t have romantic feelings for anyone currently. Do you know anyone whose birthday is today? No. If you married the last person you text messaged, what would your name be? Again, that’s my mom. What do you remember the most about nursery school? Story time and singing songs. What colour is the tablecloth on your kitchen table? We don’t have a kitchen table. When was the last time a stranger sat next to you? When I was at the doctor’s office yesterday. They weren’t right next to me cause ya know, COVID, but they were the closest to me. Does it make you feel awkward when that happens? It definitely can be. Some people are really comfortable just opening up to anyone about anything and I’m just like, uh... Who was the last person to enter the room, besides you? My mom. What did he/she want? She came to tell me something. If I'm going to make you a sandwich, what should I put on it? Mayo, pesto, balsamic vinaigrette, either Colby Jack, provolone, Swiss, or white aged cheddar cheese, cracked pepper turkey, spinach, and deli dressing with a pickle on the side. Which type of bread would you like? Hawaiian King bread, sourdough, wheat, or white. Surprise me. Other than food, what was the last thing you bought for yourself? A face mask. Have you had any interesting dreams recently? Yes, and I actually remember a couple which is rare. Do you blush easily? Is it easy for others to tell when you're embarrassed? Yes. Which Haribo sweets are your favourite? I’m not into gummy candy. If you don't like/don't eat Haribo, what other sweets do you like? I’m more into stuff like cookies, cupcakes, brownies, donuts, and muffins.  What if you had a child with the last person you kissed? Good thing that didn’t and couldn’t happen. I'm going to make you dinner. Anything you'd particularly like? You can just DoorDash Wingstop for me, ha. Are there any foods you can't/won't eat? I can’t have spicy food anymore, which really sucks. I really miss that. I don’t like seafood at all. There’s definitely more, I’m pretty picky and particular about my food. If I met you, what would my first impressions be? I don’t know. Probably that I’m a mess. Have you said or done anything recently, that you know has hurt anyone? I hope not. Did you apologise for it? -- In your Facebook friends list, who is the first person listed under 'M'? I’m not checking. What colour hair does he/she have? -- If someone asks why you love/like the person that you do, what do you say? -- What do you dislike about yourself? Just about everything... What do you like about yourself? I think I’m pretty understanding and open minded. How many people have genuinely made you smile today? No one as of now.
