Summary: Shinei has been thinking a lot ever since Handler one joined their group and Raiden was going to put a stop to it.

Shinei sighed the hundredth time that day and it was already evening! “What’s on your mind Shin?” Raiden finally asked a tad annoyed. The male looked up at him “Nothing, just thinking.” He huffed from the couch.

He was laying there, their cat resting on him while he was staring at his book. Raiden was right next to him on the ground, having been leaning on it.

“It’s not nothing if you sigh every two minutes!” Raiden growled and turned around to face their leader. “I’m not sighing every two minutes!” “You totally are!” Shin sighed making Raiden smile slyly. “not sighing are you?” He asked smugly earning a pissed off glare from the other.

“No.”

Raiden hummed and squeezed their leaders waist- earning shockingly enough- a uncharacteristic high pitched shriek, making their kitten jump off.

The whole teams attention was now on them.

“Would you quit that?!” Shinei asked and was about to sit up only to get held down by Raiden who started to move on top of him. “No can do” he grinned “Undertaker.” Another shriek ripped from the young leader yet this time soft giggles followed “EhehEHEhey quhuhuihit it!”

Raiden grinned “not until you stop sighing like an old man!” He declared “AhaHahaha- I waHAhas Nohohot!” Shin cried through his hysterical giggles as he tried to catch the offending hands- without luck as Raiden decided to poke him randomly and sneak a few squeezes in as well— even his thighs and knees weren’t safe!

Shin was trashing underneath Raiden who was grinning down at him with playful eyes. The leader kicked out every now and then- why tickling out of all the things he could’ve chosen?! “AhAHAHAhahaha~ quhuhihit ihihihit— RAIDEHEN!” He repeated earning a chuckle from the man above “quit what, Shin?” He asked and moved to his stomach.

Undertaker jumped and almost bucked his friend off “NOHO! RAHAHAIDEN” “you didn’t answer my question!” Raiden grinned- both not noticing that Handler one just connected to them the second Raiden asked that.

“TIHIHICKLING MEHE!” Raiden grinned “you want me to tickle you? Sure thing~!” He sang and switched to his sides “NoHOT whaHAHahat IHIHi mEHEHEAnt!”

Reina kept quiet. She couldn’t see the situation but the laughter from Undertaker was making her freeze and listen to it. The boyish laughter which went up and down the whole time. She found it adorable.

“You two-“ Theo tried to get their attention- after all the handler joined in now, she was not supposed to be part of their banter!

Shin suddenly threw Raiden off- the taller landed on the table with a groan and Shin’s after giggles still poured out of him “youhu’re an ahass..” he murmured earning a chuckle from the other “then stop sighing!”

“BOYS!” Anju yelled, finally earning their attention. She pointed on their communication systems making their eyes widen. “Handler one?” Raiden asked

“Uh-huh?” The answer seemed shaky and flustered. Showing the two how long the girl had been there. Shin flushed bright red and Raiden chuckled at him.

“I- I just wanted to go though the plan one last time” Reina huffed and Shin growled at Raiden. “Sure..” he whispered and went off, disconnecting the team for awhile.

The Republic of San Magnolia has been at war with the Empire of Giad for nine years now. Though it initially suffered devastating losses to the Empire's autonomous mechanized Legions, The Republic has since developed its own autonomous units, called Juggernauts, which are directed remotely by a Handler. Hence there is no more loss of human life – at least officially, anyway. In actuality, the Juggernauts are piloted by 86s, the designation given to minorities whohave been systematically dehumanized and forced to live in internment camps in the unofficial 86thWard. Only military service gives them any hope of bettering their lot.

Lena is a purebred Alba (the dominant race of the Republic) who at the mere age of 16, has earned the rank of Major in the Republic's military. She is assigned to be the Handler of the Spearhead squadron of the eastern front, an elite unit composed entirely of 86s veteran enough to have earned names. (86s are not otherwise allowed names officially.) It's also a unit known for scaring off previous handlers and even driving some to suicide. As she interacts with the squad and its leader, nicknamed Undertaker, she starts to learn the truth about the harrowing extent of the Republic's actual predicament, the horrifying extremes to which the Republic has violated the principles on which it was founded, and the dire reasons why the Republic can't afford not to take its persecution of the 86s to the logical endpoint.

#I8: Magical girl club gets silly and depressing

In her everyday life, Yuuna Yuuki is a hero. As proof, she is in her middle school's Hero Club, where she does her best to help others and bring a smile to everyone's face.

But Yuuna, always up to any task, is about to become an even bigger hero. Mysterious destructive forces called Vertexes begin threatening the world she loves, and the Hero Club is called upon by a strange phone app to save it. Along with her best friend Mimori Tougou, as well as sisters Fuu and Itsuki Inubouzaki, they must transform into magical girls in order to battle the Vertexes.

#I1: The 86 are forced to fight someone else’s war.

According to the Republic of San Magnolia, their ongoing war against the Giadian Empire has no casualties—however, that is mere propaganda. While the silver-haired Alba of the Republic's eighty-five sectors live safely behind protective walls, those of different appearances are interned in a secret eighty-sixth faction. Known within the military as the Eighty-Six, they are forced to fight against the Empire's autonomous Legion under the command of the Republican "Handlers."

Vladilena Milizé is assigned to the Spearhead squadron to replace their previous Handler. Shunned by her peers for being a fellow Eighty-Six supporter, she continues to fight against their inhumane discrimination. Shinei Nouzen is the captain of the Spearhead squadron. Infamous for being the sole survivor of every squadron he's been in, he insists on shouldering the names and wishes of his fallen comrades.

I adored this show from the moment I watched it because throughout it all, it’s hopeful. These girls go through a lot. A LOT. A lot of horrible, horrible things, and yet they bounce back. These girls bounce back pretty much every single time and do anything to help their friends do the same. To me, that is insanely inspiring.

The cast of characters here are also insanely compelling. They feel like actual, real friends—doing things together, hanging out, comforting each other and laughing with them all the same. This point I feel helps that sense of hope this show has absolutely.

The character designs in general too are absolutely breathtaking, and are nothing like I’ve ever seen from any other magical girl anime. Also, one last thing: this show’s soundtrack is done by MONACA. MONACA is also known for doing the first two NieR games. Take that what you will :)

The characterization and character development in this show is amazing. It also has a very good depiction of survivor’s guilt/mental health, which you don’t see a lot. The animation is great and the soundtrack is done by Hiroyuki Sawano, who’s amazing and it’s one of the best soundtracks for a show ever.

Trigger Warnings: Child Abuse, Graphic Depictions of Cruelty/Violence/Gore, Racism, Suicide.

A main subject of the show is racism. Active war, lots of violence. Character acts without regard for their life, so suicide was included. Child abuse relates to the backstory of a character.

MAYNOS OCCUPATION FORCE

The death of Aun’Shar spurred the greater Tau fleet into immediate action. Seven separate invasion forces were deployed to different areas on Maynos, with what remains of the May’nar sept sending a desperate spearhead deep into enemy territory, exploring a set of coordinates gained from deep within the vault.

1. Commander Shadowsun has been woken from cryosleep to lead the vanguard, equipped with her new slave arm system designed by the May’nar septs earth caste. Though the May’nar sept has been whipped into a blind rage from the death of an ethereal, Shadowsuns arrival has caused them to hone and focus that rage into making his death count.

2. Shas’Vre Steelsong in his XV104 Riptide battlesuit. While Riptide pilots are normally essential to the Tau war machine, Steelsong was grounded for the early portion of the Maynos conflict due to his battlesuit being retrofitted with Votaan technology acquired by the late Aun’Shar. Now equipped with an experimental Shatterpoint vibration system designed to melt incoming ballistics at a molecular level, he has never been more ready to take the field, and to exact vengeance on his foes.

3. The Hakrak hunting pack makes planetfall in a Tidewall Gunrig. Pivoting from a scouting mission to a full planetary occupation, the fleet has dropped mobile fortifications in key locations. Not yet trusted to be in a proper dropship with firewarriors, the volatile Hakrak tribe strapped themselves to the gunrig before it was dropped. To the indignation of the Earth caste scientists, the Carnivores had consumed the remains of Votaan berserkers that were marked for study, which, to the surprise of the same scientists, had altered the Kroot’s skin to withstand the heat and pressures of planetfall. Thus the hunting pack’s descent had a 0% casualty rate leaving them free to continue their desecration of the dead, causing wild and random evolutions unchecked by a shaper.

4. The full contingent of Fogbreaker squadron has joined the main force. It was originally Fogbreakers Tetra pilots that activated the vault, which caused the planet to shift and spike in energy at a single point. The remaining members of the squadron now feel obligated to see their mission through to the end, swapping their usual harassment tactics for a more direct approach, joining the vanguard led by Shadowsun.

5. The shadowy Aun’Vec oversees the assault from the back line. An ethereal from the Sa’cea sept, Aun’Vec is shunned from the council due to using the remains of fire warriors in his experimental weapon development programs. Although another ethereal has taken charge of this theatre of battle from orbit, Aun’Vec insisted on his own deployment to the surface, under the pretense that someone should monitor Shadowsun for signs of cryosickness. In truth the mysterious ethereal has been poring over seismic scans of the planet, looking for the easiest route to Aun’Shar’s last known location for some yet unknown purpose. In lieu of a honor blade, Aun’Vec is armed with an Eldar Ghostsword he claimed from a Wraithblade in combat. It is rumored that it was after this battle that his experiments took a dark turn, where he would attempt to plant Tau souls into drones as a way of resurrection.

1945 03 In Defense Of The Reich - Nicolas Trudgian

The legend of Willi Messerschmitts Me262, and the elite fighter Aces who piloted this revolutionary jet aircraft, is as secure as any born during the Second World War. As they hurtled into the air, climbing at speeds hitherto unknown, a small group of seasoned pilots heralded a new generation of combat aircraft that would extend into the 21st century. At the spearhead of this new era in combat flying was the mercurial fighter leader Adolf Galland. Sacked for opposing the naive tactics of Luftwaffe supremo Hermann Goering, Galland found himself, as a General, once again leading a squadron of fighters into battle. Although too late to change the spectre of imminent defeat, this tiny group of highly decorated Aces fought a courageous rearguard action during the final Defense of the Reich. Seen blasting off an airfield in Bavaria are four Me262s, led by General Adolf Galland. Glistening in the damp air these sleek fighters are on full power in their rush to climb to altitude. Within minutes they will attack an incoming mass formation of B-17s and B-24s.
