Triple Crescents of Saturn | This image was taken by the Cassini-Huygens project in 2015. It shows three of Saturn's moons: Titan (largest), Rhea and Mimas (smallest). It is thought that Saturn has approximately 146 moons with confirmed orbits. Photography credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech/Space Science Institute.

pulsars (literally Pulsing Stars bless astronomers for their blunt naming system) spin faster when they retract and slower when they expand and this creates a buildup of energy which leads to ✨️gamma ray bursts✨️
the most probable extraterrestrial life will be either microbes, plants, and/or whales
because light has a finite speed, there is a limit to the Observable Universe and the further out in space you look the further back in time you can see and the edge of the Observable Universe is a wall of superheated, super compressed plasma from the creation of the universe
there are visible gaps in telescope images of spiral galaxies, likely from super novae pushing the stellar gases away from the blast zone

everythings okay until you remember you really are on a spinning floating rock in the vacuum of space in an universe so big we can not even comprehend it.
then you also think about the infinite amount of civilizations in other planets just like ours. theyre different than us. but we're all similar enough to relate to eachother. they are intelligent beings like us that think and create. god the universe is so scary and im so upset that we can only witness a very VERY small portion of it. like an atomically small portion of it. i believe in reincarnation because just the thought of witnessing the wonders of the universe SOME day in a different body gives me hope.
it's also scary because we will also witness the death of the universe, if it even has an end. its death will be agonisingly slow like sooo fucking slow. then one day, really really far into the future in a bang the universe will (probably) be born again from its ashes.
i fucking love the universe man. its so scary and also infuriating that we live in a world that we can't even comprehend.

Cosmethesia: a subset of aurethesia (link) related to space, an aureth related to space. It can be a gender by itself and/or an umbrella term for all space aurethi (aurethesia genders).
Etymology: Cosm- comes from 'cosmic' and -ethesia is a suffix for aurethi.

[ID: two flags with seven stripes, with swooping shapes at the bottom left and top right corners, which emerge from the bottom and top stripe respectively and end just over two-thirds of the way up and down the flag respectively. The colors, in order, are dark blue, light pink, purple, light blue-green, purple, light pink and dark blue. Their swoops gradiate from dark blue at the outer stripes to light blue at the tips. In the first flag, in the center is a white symbol that looks like a magic wand. It's made up of a straight line with a symmetrical star with eight sharp points and a dot in the middle. At the same end as the star, one on either side of the line and not quite touching the line itself, are small bird wing shapes. The magic wand is slightly tilted to the right. The third image is the magic wand on its own but it’s a dark blue color now and the background is transparent. End id.]

God I fucking love space, it's so pretty. I love drawing space, I'm not the best at it but i try my best.
Space is eerie, and yet, it's calming at the same time. If you utilize space well in your story, I will instantly love you.
Space is wonderful. End of post. Goodbye.

I haven’t managed to make much art lately but I was able to sneak this one in as a project 😉
Congratulations on 10 years on YouTube @markiplier ! (I forgot to post this here when I did over on Instagram 😅) It’s been amazing to see you finally get to space! Thank you for all the content and joy you’ve given us. I know at least for me that it has always been so encouraging to see your content (even when it was a pee sauna).
Here’s to the best head engineer a captain could ask for 🎉 May you continue to sail even further amongst the stars.
(Also, as far as posting late is concerned, I’ve got an idea. *Pops ‘er in reverse!*)

Went for a walk at night and saw one heck of a sight (unfortunately it was too dark to take a picture):
A faint trail of Northern Light that stretch out across the huge lake not unlike a night rainbow (I think that's what their called). Above the trail were bright gorgeous stars that'd match the northern lights beauty, the interesting part was that it seemed like there wasn't any stars below the trail. I'm sure there was, but from where I could see it was almost like a galaxy blanket was covering the earth, leaving a black void. I think that's kinda cool.
