Valorant Agents Realize That You're in a Bad Mood Because of Them

Type: Headcanons / Some angst but ends with fluff

A/N: Hi zen! I hope you enjoy while reading this 'cause I'm really enjoying while writing~ Have a good day!

Chamber

As a French gentleman, Chamber is not someone to upset you or make you depressed easily.

However, his excessive ego can sometimes cause him to hurt you unintentionally.

For example, while praising himself, he may humiliate you without anticipating that it will upset you, and he is not aware of it.

So it wouldn't be unexpected for him to make you feel like a nuisance.

He wouldn't have asked you right away, even if he noticed you were upset the rest of the day.

Maybe you just needed some time and he might have come up to you and bothered you.

However, when he saw that you were still in a bad mood despite the passage of time, he would understand that something was wrong. He need to talk to you.

"Ma chérie, is there something to bothering you?"

If you refuse to talk to him, he won't go because he thinks he's waited enough for today.

If you asked him if he remembers what he said before, he certainly wouldn't remember.

Even if he remembered what he said, it would be too late for him to realize that he had said something wrong.

Do not get it wrong; Even if Chamber found out a little late, he'd feel really bad for making you feel that way.

"I'm so sorry, my love, I didn't want you to think that way."

He would take you out to dinner to make up for his mistake.

The work that needs to be done that day has to be disrupted because he needs to take care of you.

In the following days, he will often check on you from afar or by coming to you.

Yoru

Being in a relationship with Yoru is pretty difficult because you can easily misunderstand him.

He also has trouble showing his emotions.

So it's quite possible that when he's angry about something, he'll say things to you that he will regret. Something he always does.

But doing it all the time doesn't make it right to say such things.

He might not understand that you were upset at first and would make fun of you.

But when he saw that you were getting more upset, he would panic.

Did someone upset you? Are you taken for his joke? Did you argue with one of the agents?

The funny thing is that all his thoughts were wrong.

He would try to talk to you, to remember what he said because he probably wouldn't be able to remember what he said to you.

When you finally told him exactly what he had said earlier, he would froze.

"I... I'm sorry I know I do this all the time but... It won't happen again. I promise."

If you don't want to forgive him, he won't say anything or object to you because he knows you are right.

But if you forgive, he'll show you the loving side he rarely shows, without hesitation.

"You're not a nuisance to me (Y/N), if you weren't with me everything would be much worse for me."

Sova

It is impossible for Sova to say such a thing to you in any situation, but you may feel like you are a nuisance. Because he often corrects your little mistakes.

Sova likes to share it with you when he's nervous, but sometimes he doesn't want to bother you too much.

Sometimes he may unintentionally ignore you.

The reason he stopped ignoring you was because he saw that you were in very bad mood.

Your happiness is more important than your own problems. Also, his first priority is to always make you happy.

At first he would hug you from behind and ask how your day was going, and if you felt comfortable he would ask you to why you were in a bad mood.

He blamed himself since you said you felt like you were nuisance for him and disrupting his work. He thought he shouldn't have made you feel this way.

He would turn you towards him and leave kisses on different parts of your face.

"I'm sorry, my love, I didn't mean to make you feel this way. What can I do to make you feel better? It can be anything."

He would really do anything you wanted. Going out, having a picnic, or just cuddling together.

He can carry you if you want. Let others say what they want, if you're going to be happy, he'll do it.

Cypher

Although Cypher is busy most of the time, he likes to see you around even when he's working.

He still prefers to be alone when he's nervous, so if you unknowingly bother him, he's likely to be rude to you.

Although it usually depends on the situation, most of the time, he realizes that he hurt you right after he said rude things.

But he wouldn't have told you directly that you were a nuisance. Even though he was sarcastic, you could easily understand what he was saying to you.

When he noticed the surprise and sadness on your face, he realized how rude his words were, and his heart started to feel heavy.

"I'm really sorry, my beloved, I didn't mean it that way, I'm just too nervous. I didn't mean to offend you, please don't look at me like that."

He would take your face in his hands and try to make you look at him.

If you don't want to talk to him, he reluctantly leaves you alone but continues to check how you are from afar.

Like Sova, he can do anything you want if you let him fix this situation.

He will do anything to make you happy and see your smile. That's why he doesn't know what to do out of guilt when he upsets you.

Jett

In addition to being quite cheerful and energetic, Jett is someone who gets demoralized very quickly.

She becomes tense and unhappy when she loses a bet, fails to do something she tried to do, or returns unsuccessfully from her mission.

If you have failed a mission together, Jett will complain about everything along the way.

For example, why did she go on a mission with a Phantom instead of a Vandal? Why did she go on side B and not side A? Why is the plane so hot? Why is it raining outside? Why was she sent on a mission with you?

Her last sentence sounds pretty harsh, but Jett wouldn't have known what she was saying in anger. She would have even forgotten in what sense she meant it.

However, when she turned to you for a moment and saw the sadness and disappointment on your face, she would have forgotten her anger.

She would pull you towards her, wrap her arms around you and gently stroke your hair.

"Hey hey hey, I didn't mean it in the way you think, baby. I thought a few more agents were needed for this mission. You did a great job, it was all my fault. I'm just pissed off myself, don't get my word serious but I swear to you; I didn't mean it that way."

It would really broke her heart to see you upset, even if she knew she didn't mean that way.

When reporting to Brimstone, she said that she had failed during the mission, not you.

After being scolded by Brimstone, she would come over to you with a cheerful smile and take your arm and kiss you on the cheek.

"Let's do something outside! It looked like the rain had stopped as we entered protocol."

Fade

Fade is not a dissatisfied woman, but it cannot be said that she is very energetic either.

In general, her jokes are dark humorous and can be difficult to understand, so there is a high probability that you will misunderstand any of her jokes.

She doesn't like being social most of the time, but she likes you to be around. However, as I said, she often says what she has to say without thinking because she is used to being alone.

When she says something when she is angry, you may feel as if she is speaking to you, even if she is not angry with you. But it is definitely not aimed at you.

When she says something you might think like that, she doesn't realize that she hurt you at first because she knows she didn't tell taht words to you.

However, she cannot think that you will be taken over.

At first she would go on with her day as if nothing had happened because there was nothing abnormal for her.

Later in the day, when she saw that your mood was bad, she wouldn't understand what was going on.

Still, she didn't want to panic without knowing what was going on, she thought it would be enough to ask you directly.

While you are sitting on the sofa, she will come and sit next to you, resting her head on your lap.

"Is everything alright, sugar? You look...sad."

With her lying on your lap like this, it would be impossible for you to escape. Because when you tried to get up, she would gently grab your hand and clamp it with her own.

So somehow you had to tell her why you were upset.

While you were telling her why you were upset and what she said to you, she would listen calmly and place gentle kisses on your clenched hand.

"Yes, I said the words you said, but I guess I was misunderstood. You can be a nuisance sometimes, but I've never complained and I love you with your everything. The next time you think that way, don't be upset with yourself, come and tell me."

?!?!?!?!?!? there was a new voice line between cypher and sova?!?!?!

🥲can't believe I missed this... and it was about sova's eye too.... how long has this been up...?

more rambling under the cut since it got too long😔

but still, it's really nice to see the tension sova has with cypher finally developing. since before, it didn't seem like cypher actually took sova's concerns about secrecy seriously OR didn't even know about it. But now it seems that cypher is kind of poking at/acknowledging sova's efforts-- or he's just doing regular cypher things and invading people's privacy lol

but also huge win for sova i guess. I think other than fade's blackmail dossier and cypher himself, he's the only other one who finds out and addresses cypher by his actual name. I guess it is possible that the dossiers were released to the valorant protocol in general, so everyone saw each other's dossiers and sova found out that way. But that seems unlikely since the dossiers seem to directly address the agent it's talking about. On the other hand, i guess it could still be possible considering we as players find the dossiers across the maps, so if we take that reflect the lore discovery of the dossiers, then maybe agents the dossier it wasn't addressed to could've stumbled upon the dossier first before turning it over to the intended recipient.

Though, i think it would be more interesting in relation to the rivalry that sova found out through his own means. More tension, more stress, more drama--what more could you ask for in a narrative?

actually focusing on the content of the voice line, 👀eye. there's so many implications here.

before this voice line, all we knew of sova's eye was that he lost it for the valorant protocol (according to Brimstone). But was Brimstone saying this based off of sova's background file, which cypher reveals to have falsified the event? Or does Brim know what actually happened? It feels like he should, considering he is one of the founders of VP.

But if it was something sova could share with Brimstone, why would he try to hide it in his file?

Is this an event that Brimstone decided to make classified? If it was big enough of a deal to censor it in sova's file, why would he easily talk about it during a mission? Then again, it's unclear the circumstances chat voice lines take place in (i.e. are they hypothetical conversations and these interactions don't/haven't actually taken place? are they just in-between the two agents involved/is it a private conversation? are they being overheard by the other agents on the team?) So maybe Brimstone is just mentioning it when it's just him and sova, and there's no one nearby to eavesdrop.

But from the way cypher decides to choose this as a way to poke at sova's distrust of him or sova's hypocrisy for insisting on honesty when his own file isn't 100% trustworthy, it feels like cypher knows or suspects the real story to be less heroic than what Brimstone makes it out to be.

So there's another possibility: sova also hid the true story of his eye from Brimstone.

The incident then would have had to taken place in which sova was the only person to give testimony.

[Or the only person Brimstone found credible--cypher seems certain that sova's file is lying, so there could've been more witnesses that gave different reports; though, it doesn't have to be people, it could just be other pieces of evidence or cypher catching details that don't match up.]

In any case, sova either came out of the event as the sole survivor OR it's related to his rift adventures, so the other people involved are from different worlds and thus considered "enemies" or just aren't trusted enough. Might even be related to that time he met and spared his mirror self.

Just what did sova consider more important than his principles that he decides to keep it secret?

Request from @oyasumimosura: Can I request how valorant men would react to the reader kissing their cheeks when they successfully did their mission? Theyre not together but the Valo men got a crush on (y/n)

Characters: All the current agents besides Breach because I just really couldn't write him sorry

Warnings: gn reader, no pronouns mentioned, headcanons, maybe bit ooc, english isn't my first language sorry A/n: I'm so sorry for taking so long with this request I was grieving a lot and fell into depression, but now I'm feeling a bit better, so I immediately started with finishing up this request. Hope you can forgive the long wait and I hope you enjoy my writing<3

I will also finish the other requests soon most of them I already started before everything happened, but I still need to finish them

I had fun with this request, but I'm not so confident with writing Brimstone, KAY/O and Harbor, so I put them at the very end

Chamber

He is also pretty full of himself and would regularly flirt with you Nobody thinks too much of it because this just seems to be his character but with you, he was actually trying to win you over He cheekily asked you if you would give him a kiss if the next mission was a success You kind of waved him off not really answering Believing it to be one of his antics again and nothing would follow When he came back from the mission successful he went over to you Before he could open his mouth to say anything you leaned in and kissed him on the cheek You cheekily pulled away and then just went to the others talking about what exactly happened on the mission Chamber was slightly flustered but would cover it up, and follow you trying to talk to you Maybe you were more interested in him than he thought Sova

He is such a sweetheart

You were worried about the next mission believing it to be very risky

Sova comforted you telling you that everything would be fine

You calmed down for now but of course, felt nervous again while the mission was going

Finally, the team came back and you went straight to Sova wrapping your arms around his neck and giving him a quick peck on the cheek

He was surprised when you suddenly just ran into his arms but he enjoyed the affection

He was surprised by the kiss but he probably won't have that big of a reaction in front of everyone

Maybe a light flush on his cheeks and a smile on his lips but inside he is feeling way too much at once

He really likes you and hopes that soon he can ask you out

Gekko

I think Gekko is normally affectionate with you and would come to you after your missions to hug you and stuff

So you bought about also doing that for him so this time you waited for him to come back and just jumped into his arms when you saw him

You would welcome him back and give him a kiss on the cheek while he continues to hold you

He feels so giddy from your affection and gives some back to you

I could imagine him being a bit more shy when he has a crush on you because he doesn't want you to find out his feeling

In total though he thinks that you two should really start doing that for each other after every mission, even if you went to the mission together

Phoenix

I don't know why you would give this man a kiss after a successful mission because he is gonna brag about it forever

With his outgoingness, he is gonna tell everyone about how you decided to give him a kiss

Even if someone tells him that a kiss in the wheel isn't special he will not listen to them

He just loves any kind of attention from you that he can get

If you are fine with it he will also give you a kiss on the cheek

He also wants to show you his appreciation and these interactions could spark a flame between you two

This kiss could maybe be the starting sign for you two

Yoru

You talked to Jett and she dared you to kiss Yoru when he comes back from his mission

Jett knows about Yoru's little crush on you and just wanted to see his reaction

You easily agreed and then together you waited for the team to return

When you heard them arriving you got up and quickly spotted him

Jett didn't specify where you should kiss him so you pressed your lips to his cheek quickly

He is just so smug about this kiss and will start teasing you

Just talking about how you really missed him so much and couldn't wait for him to be back

I think under his exterior he is quite flustered but he wouldn't want anyone to know about that so he covered it up with teasing

Maybe this is even the perfect opportunity to ask you out on a date

Cypher

This mission a hyphen just saved everyone and you really wanted to thank him for that

You went up to him and kissed his masked cheek telling him that he was amazing

It would take him a second to register what you did but the lingering warmth on his cheek showed him that this really just happened

That was unexpected and he would chuckle, thanking you for appreciating his work

He is happy that the mask doesn't let you see how much this little gesture actually affected him

But you can hear how happy he is just from his voice

Omen

It was a spur-of-the-moment thing, you just leaned in and gave his cheek a kiss

Omen as we all know isn't really one to show his emotions outwardly

It seems like he doesn't really care but he does thank you and the is just some sort of tenderness in his voice

He could become embarrassed if you kiss him and then also give him a lot of praise for doing so well

If you know him well enough though you would be able to hear the embarrassment in his voice though

Brimstone

We all know Brimstone is the more professional type and I don't know how well he would take to public affection

You two are probably already very close because otherwise, I don't think he wouldn't have the most positive reaction

But if you two are close then maybe putting aside that you kissed him on the cheek in front of everyone

He would use the kiss to motivate himself and just know that there is always someone proud of him and his work

Also, I can imagine some agents cooing when you kiss him just to embarrass you two even more

KAY/O

You just were happy to have KAY/O back so when he came up to you to talk you gave him a quick kiss on his cheek

So KAY/O is sentient and everything but I don't really know if he can feel you giving him the kiss

Even if for him personally the kiss emotionally maybe doesn't mean much he knows what it means to humans

He would thank you and verbally try to express how he recognizes the meaning of these physical gestures

Maybe he would just show a heart on his monitor and I think that says enough for you

Harbor

Harbor has such a positive energy who wouldn't want to give this man some affection

He would have such a radiant smile on his face when your lips come in contact with his cheek

The affection and praise would fill him with joy and he is someone who will give you affection back

Man this guy will give you the affection back tenfold

He really values you and wishes nothing more than to have a closer relationship with you

You were one of the younger agents in the protocol, so it was natural for your co-workers to be a) protective b) tease you, and c) have issues with relationships but acknowledge you nonetheless. Everyone was mostly in between as they tended to keep to themselves, or had attachment issues.

But if an outsider were to take a glance at your small found traumatized family it would be clear as day you were treated slightly differently.

OMEN is who you're the closest to, despite his past being shrouded in the shadows. Under the floating soul donning a chunk of cold metal was a softie who knitted on rocking chairs in front of the fireplace like an oldie.

( "I'm not an oldie." Omen would refute every time despite Breach cackling his ass off. "It's Breach who's the oldie." Now it was your turn to laugh to your heart's content. )

Your sibling relationship all started with a Once Upon a Time, the snowflakes started falling.

Half of the protocol went outside to play with the snow, screams and curses being heard throughout the air. The other half preferred to stay inside, but this time outside the confinements of their rooms simply to relax. Although someone was missing. You.

Omen found you curled up inside blankets in the far corner of the living room, away from human interaction.

Noticing this, he walked back to his room to grab the knitted blankets he created once as practice. He silently placed it beside you and continued with his day, hoping it would keep you warm. If he stayed a little longer, he would have noticed the way your eyes lit up as you snuggled into the comforting fabric.

( And if he stayed a little, little, longer— he would have noticed the way you fell sound asleep on the couch, Brimstone smiling fondly at the familiar craftsmanship. )

It then led to cardigans and even small knitted keychains being delivered to your front door. A beige cardigan was delivered by Cypher, a knitted tiny llama keychain delivered by Neon, a white scarf delivered by Sova, and so on. All from Omen.

You're basically set for life because Omen could set up his own brand or business if he wanted to— wishful thinking ☹️

"Knock knock!" Gekko's voice was heard on the other side of the door, wingman's happy shrills following right after.

You open the door to see Gekko holding out a paper bag, and peeking inside you could see a faint outline of a knitted sweater along with a note from Omen.

"Why won't Omen knit something for me..." Gekko mumbled, watching you receive the paper bag with a small smile on your face.

"Don't worry, he knitted us ugly sweaters last Christmas. He'll knit something for you eventually." You tried to reassure him.

"Don't worry bro, I was just joking— HEY! What do you mean I'll look ugly in cardigans and scarves! WINGMAN!"

Laughing silently at the two fighting, you whispered under your breath, "Thanks, big brother." Unaware of somebody lingering at the end of the corridor, hiding behind a wall.

It will rain tomorrow, wear something warm. Omen.

"Omen." Viper called out to him.

"Sabine."

"You look creepy. Like a stalker. Just give it to them in person."

"...I accidentally scared them by knocking on their door one evening to give them a knitted beanie. They thought I was a serial killer and the beanie was a knotted trash bag I'll kidnap them in."

"...You have a weird relationship with your 'younger sibling', Omen."

Fade’s Relationship With Other Agents Tierlist

This tierlist is based on canon interactions and voice lines if I missed anything please let me know. If you want to know why a certain agents is in a certain tier and if you think someone should be in another tier let me know. I hope I managed to write my reasons properly. 😄

S Tier (Omen and Cypher)

These two are Fade’s closest friends in the protocol. They have the most voice lines about her, Omen is told to canonically spend time with her, Cypher was the one to suggest Fade to join the protocol to the other agents, when Fade started to have apocalyptic nightmares and stopped sleeping altogether Cypher and Omen were given voicemails to show their worry about her. No other agent comes close to this tier.

A Tier (Sova and Astra)

Agents in this tier have positive voice lines towards Fade and she has positive voice lines toward them. Every agents in B tier has the potential to be in this tier. I actually expected more agents to be here. Very disappointed.

B Tier (KAY/O Chamber Neon Raze Viper Deadlock Harbor)

I call this tier ‘The Waitlist’ . Each agent in this tier has either nice voicelines about Fade (Harbor and Deadlock) or Fade has voice lines about them. If I was doing this based on my ideas alone I would have put at least Harbor to A Tier. I hope some of them get to A Tier soon.

Btw I didn’t put them in any particular way. If I did Viper would be at the beginning.

C Tier (Breach Brimstone Sage Killjoy)

These four have more neutral voicelines if they have them or don’t really have any meaningful interactions with Fade. True Neutrals of the list.

D Tier (Gekko Yoru Phoenix Skye Reyna)

Agents in this tier only have enemy voicelines about Fade (Gekko, Reyna), Fade has enemy voicelines about them (Yoru, PHoenix), both agents have only enemy voicelines for each other (Skye), or in Reyna’s case both agents have enemy voicelines but the ally voiceline Fade has isn’t the most positive. Agents in this rank may change places.

E Tier (Jett)

No explanation needed.

valorant headcanons (or just general thoughts? idk) 7 (still probably cant count?) Sova doesn't.. hate Cypher. he certainly doesnt LIKE Cypher, and he spends more time preaching about how Cypher cant be trusted and needs to change his ways than he spends talking with Cypher on missions, but its not hate like a lot of the other agents claim. Cypher himself doesn't even particularly like Sova. He respects and trusts Sova, but its absolutely hilarious to bother Sova even if sometimes it ends up with him sitting in Sage's office with a bruised jaw and a deflated ego after inevitably getting punched for pushing Sova too far. Brimstone tried pairing Sova and Cypher together for awhile to make them get over it. Cypher opted out eventually, finding the constant presence of Sova suffocating. He stated that he did not feel safe around Sova, but advised strongly against discipline against the archer. Brimstone gave up and just let them remain separate since at least the two were almost neutral if all interactions were kept on their own terms. Sova is not a violent person, still, and everyone knows that. Sova's reasoning for resorting to such against Cypher was due to less than appropriate jokes and the occasional friendly touch to his shoulders. Cypher, admittedly, did feel bad when he realized Sova genuinely couldn't stand such and apologized by quietly giving Sova a hundred credits overnight and leaving a box of tea that he'd seen Sova drink a few times before. Sova, while as unforgiving as always, accepted the peace offering. Periodically, there was a time Omen was greatly jealous of Sova. A little bit before the wraith truly took interest in the spy, and a little bit before Sova and Cypher's biggest fight. Sova still vividly remembers how Omen would whisk Cypher away after staring at the two for a minute, leaving Cypher and Sova equally confused. Sova was less than surprised when he noticed the two spending more time alone in Cypher's workshop, and only confirmed his suspicions later when he saw Omen quietly slinking out of Cypher's room in the early morning. Cypher is overall a very touchy person. No one, including him, really knows why. He doesn't like being touched back without warrant, but his favorite ways to show affection are quick hugs and small offerings of food and beverage. Sova and Cypher always did and still do play chess. no one knows why. Sova claims that it keeps Cypher appeased enough to leave the archer alone, Cypher assures people that it's just his irresistible charm that persuades Sova into tolerating him for a couple days. Realistically, it's a case of correlation / causation, since they only play chess when stress is low and everyone has time to spare. And Cypher is less dramatic when it's just the two of them, since Cypher appreciates not having his face rearranged. Sova has seen Cypher without his mask. Once. The sentinel had been shot in the head by a pistol, hanging onto life just barely, and had removed the mask himself while trying to handle his wounds secretly. Sova hadn't meant to find Cypher or see his face. Sova honestly couldn't describe Cypher's face in any detail, since he had turned away unbelievably fast. Sova only remembers that Cypher had brown eyes, and Cypher already offered basic information like that frequently enough to anyone truly curious. Cypher still remembers the incident. Sometimes it keeps him up at night with paranoia. Cypher never did mention it to Sova, and Sova decidedly never mentioned it to him. It is a conversation the two have been meaning to have for about three months and counting.

I really wanna update Unending Devotion soon, but I don't know if I will. About to get fucked by work so as a peace offering, take this random compilation of thoughts about Price, his husband, their owl-hybrid daughter, and the 141 boys that most likely won't make it to the actual story line

6 Years ago: Devyn meets Nik for the first time

She's a hundred percent hiding behind her dad, absolutely terrified of this strange man that he's invited into the house. She's maybe met one other person at this point in her life, and so little 4 year old Devyn Price is not a fan.

At first.

Price is trying to comfort her and get her to trust Nik, but she's not really listening to him. She's too busy digging her tiny claws into his leg as she stares at Nik. He's not offended or anything, he just wants her to accept him. Nik 100% has told Price several times that Devyn takes priority and is willing to give up everything for her.

He does eventually win her over when he finally lowers to her level with a smile. He calls her "Sova" for the first time, and she's totally blown away by hearing a different language for the first time. He tells her where he's from, about Russia, and how he met her dad. She's totally still hiding behind Price, but she's not staring at him like she'll start crying if he makes a sudden movement. And then he tells her he's a pilot. She does her little confused head tilt, not knowing what that means.

"I fly." He explains, and suddenly she's starstruck. A human that can fly???

"But you have no wings!" She'll sign to him, very concerned. He tells her about helicopters and planes. She has him tell her what it's like to fly so high up (she's still struggling to get more than a few feet off the ground).

Eventually, the day ends with her on his lap, hanging onto his every word as he talks about his job as a pilot; the thrills of flying, how he's seen so many beautiful places and met so many beautiful people ("Like Dad?" "Of course, Sovenok").

He ends up having to leave for the night, and Devyn is quick to ask her dad if he's coming back. Price says yes, of course he's coming back.

"Will he stay next time?" Safe to say, Price proposed very quickly after that. If his little angel wanted Nik to stay, then stay Nik shall.

Ghost gets a gift

Devyn has moments where the boys are reminded she's not very socialized, so to speak. She's spent most of her life hidden away for her safety, and rarely had the opportunity to interact with people her age.

This is one of those moments.

Ghost agreed to babysit Devyn while on medical leave. Partly because Price was going to drive him insane if he stayed on base, partly because he wasn't about to go home without Johnny there, and partly because this was the ultimate sign of trust from his captain.

Besides, Ghost liked the company of the little Price girl. She was sweet and calm compared to the average person Ghost was forced to interact with. She never found the whole mask thing to be weird (one of the reasons he was secretly grateful she is the way she is) and she was relatively independent.

But then came the day she gave him a little gift. He was watching some movie on the couch when she came bounding inside, something hidden between her small hands. She grinned and cooed happily at him as she held out her hands, clearly intending for him to receive what was hidden inside.

Ghost was grateful he had better control of his emotions than others. It's rather startingly for the sweetest, most innocent little girl you've ever known to drop a very pristine mouse skeleton in your hands. He opted for the sake of his sanity, to not question how Devyn came to possess such a thing, and instead gave her a soft smile and a thank you.

"You like bones and stuff so I thought you should have this!" Is what she'll happily sign to him, and he can only nod in appreciation. He'll thank her again, ruffle the feathers on her head as he gets up to put it somewhere safe. He shows her what he does with it so she knows he appreciates the gift; even if it is the most macabre gift he's ever gotten.

Origin of her nickname "Moon Pie"

There are times in Price's life where he's reminded of the owl half of his daughter. She's never been a consistent sleeper; it's either she's up all night and asleep all day similar to an owl, the normal for a human being, or the mix of sleeping only half the day and half the night. There's no rhyme or reason to her sleep patterns, but Price has gotten good at finding ways to help her make sure she gets the right amount of sleep. As well as finding things for her to do during the night when she's awake.

She learned from a relatively young age how to fix food for herself, as it was rather difficult to get either of her dads to help her without grumbling to themselves. It was also difficult for her to communicate what she needed due to the darkness and the fact her fathers don't have her inhuman ability to see well at night. She knew where all her favorite snacks were and how to get them without hurting herself or damaging any of the furniture (She got in a bit of trouble for putting large scratches in a leather seated stool once). All in all, she was well-off on her own during the nights.

But of course, she isn't the only one in that house with sleeping issues. Many times, she's often joined by her dad, and maybe Papa too if he's just come home and hasn't reset his internal clock. They'll spend quiet nights together on the couch or when the weather's nice, out on the back porch. She loves flying at night, but only does so when Dad can watch her. She feels safer that way.

And it's one of these nights that Price couldn't fall back to sleep after a particularly rough nightmare. He decided since his husband wasn't home, that he'd find something else in the house to make him feel better. It's when he remembers that there was still leftover pie (that Laswell had brought when she and her wife visited over the weekend) that he'll be reminded of his daughter's nocturnal habits.

Safe to say, for a man who's only awake because of a nightmare and is still somewhat shaky from it, he's rather startled by the sight in the kitchen.

After all, it is indeed startling to see a small child-like figure, one with large wings and feathers on her head, sharp claws and talons, and reflective eyes hunched over a plate, a distinct red color smeared around her mouth, illuminated only by the moonlight.

Price clearly wasn't the only one who thought a bit of midnight pie would be nice. Like father like daughter. He decides to affectionately call her "Moon Pie" from that night forward, and Nik has yet to learn the real origins of it: they had promised to save him a slice but finished it that night, after all.

Valorant Agents Reactions to You Making Them a Flower Crown: Part 2

Type: Headcanons / Fluff

Characters: Skye, Fade, Astra, Viper, Sage, Reyna, Sova, Phoenix

Warnings: None

Pronounce: There's no pronounce, everybody can read!

Skye

Since Skye is intertwined with plants and nature, it is highly likely that she has given you such a gift before.

However, she never expected you to do it to her.

Even if she saw that you made a crown from the flowers she loved, she would not think that you made it for her. She would come to you and give you a few tips to help you make crown better.

It's quite possible that when you're done, she'll congratulate you and ask if you're doing it for someone, and if so, for whom.

"Good job dear! Are you going to give this to someone or did you do it for yourself? So for someone else, who are you planning to give it to?"

Her smile visibly widened when she found out it was for her.

She would have noticed after you told her that you made it from the flowers she loved.

Please don't blame her, she's just not used to receiving gifts.

She doesn't look at it that way at all, as she doesn't think anyone will follow what she likes and cares about.

She carries your flower crown on her head with great happiness. After all, a gift you make is definitely worth wearing.

"Sorry, I never thought you would do it for me. Absolutely the most beautiful flower crown I've ever seen, thank you baby."

Fade

I would be lying if I said that she is a huge nature lover.

It's not that she doesn't like nature, but she doesn't have a special sympathy either.

But that doesn't stop you from gifting her a flower crown!

She would love it if you could bring flowers of her favorite colors together and make a crown for her.

Fade is not someone who expects things like gifts. Therefore, if she sees that you have made a crown by combining flowers of her favorite colors, she will come to you and compliment the color of the flowers and leave.

"The colors are nice, they look good."

If you stop her before she leaves and tell her you did it for her, she will turn and stare at you with a curious expression on her face.

"For me? If you're going to give me the crown just because I like the colors of the flowers, you don't have to, it definitely suits you better."

If you can convince her that you did it for her from the beginning, a small but worthwhile smile will appear on her face.

She would walk up to you and let you put the crown on her head.

As you guessed; It would definitely suit her.

"I'm not sure that this thing is suits me but I can make one for you."

Astra

Astra loves anything colorful and vibrant, including flowers.

It wouldn't be too hard to understand that she would like such a gift as she often visited Skye's garden.

If she saw you making a flower crown, she would come to do it with you, regardless of whom you did it to.

And yes she would do it for you.

She would have already finished her flower crown and placed it in your hair while you were dealing with the flower crown you were trying to make for her.

"My flower looks pretty cute with a flower crown on her/his head!"

When you finally finished the flower crown you made for her and wanted to put it on her head, she would approach you and wait for you to put it on.

She would want to keep it by taking a picture of herself with you because you two look pretty compatible.

"We matched pretty well, my flower! You are absolutely full of life!"

She doesn't hesitate to ask everyone she sees how you two look side by side.

The moment someone started making negative comments, she would disappear with you in an instant.

"Hmm? Ah, it's okay my flower! I'm pretty sure it's something insignificant~"

Viper

As someone who works with chemicals and toxins in general, she only uses plants in experiments, so it's not something that interests her much.

She had seen children make flower crowns before and she knows how to do it. She's skilled at fine-tuning, so I don't think she'll have too much trouble making a crown.

She didn't comment when she saw you making a crown of flowers, but she likes to see you do little activities like this.

Still, she would go about her business without joining you.

If you have trouble making her a crown and whine, she will come over and fix the crown for you "to shut you up".

Viper will stare at you for a while like she got bugged if you put the flower crown on her head.

"Are you using me as a model or…?"

She would nod in surprise when you told her you weren't using her as a model, that you were making her the flower crown from the start.

"I see, thank you. I never thought I'd get such a gift."

Although she didn't seem to be interested, she never took off her crown when she wasn't in her lab that day. She didn't enter her laboratory so as not to take off her crown.

And she got loads of compliments throughout the day!

Sage

Sage is someone who thinks that when someone is given a gift, she definitely needs to reciprocate.

So if you give her a gift like this, she would think that she should give you an equally beautiful gift.

When she sees you while you are making a flower crown for her, she moves away from you without making a sound so as not to distract you.

You would also have given her ideas so that she could reciprocate a gift you gave her earlier; could make a crown of crystal flowers for you.

It looked like the crown you made, except that it was made of crystal.

While she was looking for you, she had finished her crown, and you were looking for her. You two looked at each other for a while as you both came across with crowns in your hands.

"The crown in your hand looks beautiful, my dear."

When you said you made the crown for her, she would show you the crown in her hand and tell you that she did it for you too.

As a result, you two mutually crowned each other.

"Actually, I did it to make up for the gift you gave earlier, but I guess I owe it again. Thank you, my beloved."

Reyna

Reyna is not much of a nature lover, but you decided to make one for her, thinking she would look pretty with a flower crown.

It wasn't hard for her to understand that you were going to give it to her when she saw that you were tying flowers of her favorite color together.

But she didn't want to reveal anything about it. She only came up to you once and stood above you to see what you were doing.

"Don't mind me darling, I'm just looking at what you're doing."

Even though she doesn't like nature, she would find it interesting and sweet that you want to give her such a gift.

When you went to her with the flower crown you made for her and asked her to put it on her head, she would laugh at you and take the crown from your hand and put it on her head.

When you told her you thought it would look good on her, she would press a kiss to your cheek and grin.

"Very clever of you to want to see me in a flower crown and gift it to me, darling, thank you."

Phoenix

Since Phoenix is at the top of Skye's list of those who cannot enter her garden, he usually doesn't touch the flowers much, but he finds them quite beautiful.

No matter how much he wanted to join you when he saw you making a flower crown, he would stay away so as not to harm the flowers.

"Aww, don't worry about me, it's fun enough watching you do it!"

He would watch you in amazement when you made a crown of flowers of various colors and put it on his head yourself.

He would stay like that for a while. When he came to himself, he would go to the mirror and look at his hair.

"Oh my god, that looks amazing (Y/N)! Do you really know how cute you are? I'll help you notice if you don't!"

He would show everyone he saw the flower crown on his head and say that you made the crown.

"Hey Skye! See my crown? Yes yes (Y/N) did it, don't you think they're great?"

Sova

Although Sova was born and raised in Russia, he doesn't see many flowers, he knows most flowers well and finds them beautiful.

Still, he wouldn't have known that flowers can be made into accessories.

When he saw that you were tying the stems of the flowers together, he couldn't understand what you were doing at first.

He would come and watch what you were doing. He might even ask you to show him how to do it.

While you were combining the flowers he loved, he would tell you about the characteristics of the flowers.

Finally, when you finished the crown and put it on his head, he would tilt his head slightly so that you could put it on more properly, waiting for you to finish your work.

"I didn't know that flowers could be used for things like this, thank you for making me one of these, dear."

In the protocol, he walked around with that crown all day. He only smiled at the teasing of others because he would be the last person to be embarrassed to carry a gift you gave him.

omen ate it. knowing damn well that it'll get phoenix riled up and blame jett or yoru. hence, an argument. hence, noise and chaos in the protocol. it's amusing to him to see them fight like chickens. (his words, not mine.)

Character: Toro

Could be one of the decent students at this university. he can be seen around outdoors most of the time or in the lunchroom chatting with a few friends. granted he could focus on his skills and his curiosity for history he actually knows how to take a chill pill from time to time. close to being a top student if he didn't get so distracted in class, but a B could be good enough. he may not be too social at times, he doesn't have anything interesting to say, even despite that he still tries to keep the conversation going a little. it's a sweet miracle he actually befriended Tanya and Misty, tending to be a little annoyed by a few of their actions but enjoys their company more than nothing. tries getting them out of trouble and it ends up getting all 3 of them into some deep shi- Ahem. even if they can be a bother, they're still a bit fun to hang around with.

At this point it's becoming a concern with how he deals with everybody's crap while they deal with his, and that's how it'll stay. now that I've got that done let's go on with a little more info. I don't know if any of you want to go through it and read all of this, but I'm doing it anyways ❤️ ╔═════════════════ஓ๑♡๑ஓ════════════════╗

Interests- He doesn't get well to attached to interests and moves on to the next, but these are the ones that stuck out most to him. First interest would be about history; he's real curious to learn about this universities... interesting history. there's some crap he's curious to see but he knows too well that he should stay the hell out of it if he wants to keep his head. Second interest that comes to mind may as well be combat/self-defense (Toro's trying to defend himself from Sova, this shit is self-explanatory as well cause he's not going down, not today) he's been taught well to fend himself, especially in getting into fights he didn't want to. A third interest he's actually quite genuine about is music, it's a waste of time to others but for him, it just helps him deal with life a bit easier. one of his favorite instruments is usually a guitar, doesn't mind playing it around others, he could use the company for a bit.

ღ ততততততততততততততততততততততততততততততততততত ღ Relationships- He will always remain as the ambivert in the group either talks or doesn't. there are a few friends he'll always tolerate and there's just some he REALLY wants to just tell them to shut up.

Tanya is nice to have around when she isn't really panicky, they may get into an argument or 2 but it could be worse. he still counts her as a close friend trying to help out. can tend to be a source to calm her. He hangs out with Misty almost all the time, just a sweetheart to be around when you need her but if she asks what a Bulldozer is he's slapping her with a dictionary. Let's make this real nice and short for the Scaries here. Mary- Actually tolerates her for a while, she's proud, she's confident. neither of them interact.. as much except for once when Barry introduced her. she'd doesn't seem that mean. He's going to bitch slap her. Barry- Surprisingly a chill guy he tends to hang out with, but he really needs to calm down with his hair products, every time he pulls out a hairspray, he coughs out like he's going to die. Larry- If he doesn't get his nerdy wimp @#$$ the hell out of here he is actually going to make fun of him. Toro doesn't mean to, he doesn't do it intentionally, he's holding back all the urges not to call him stupid names to the point it's not even funny.

For now, I think that's all, to be really honest here I'm growing a little energized here and I'm going to try and work on him more as well, feel like I grew a bit lazy and rushed so I'm going to try and do better.) Anyways, have a good night to you guys, I'm still gonna stay up for a bit)

Summary: Sova’s gotten rather used to your earnest displays of physical affection, so much so that he finds himself unknowingly expecting it every time he sees you. However, lately, you’ve been quite elusive due to your schedule- leaving him rather antsy with your lack of attention.

You’d always been the physical touch type; the type of person to express their affections through all manners of touch, whether they be friend or lover. It came easily to you, giving a small pat here and a friendly ruffle of the hair there. It was simple and effective, earning you many strong friendships. From bear hugs with Phoenix and Raze to headpats with Jett and Skye; you could even say you’ve given Omen a hug before- not that anyone would really believe you. Or that you’d say a word about it-

It had started when you’d booped him on the nose for a nice shot, startling him and causing him to give you a confused look. The smile on your face from his reaction made his heart flutter more than he would admit. He slowly got used to your touches, with you reaching out first and making a gesture to avoid startling him- like holding your arms out for a hug.

Sova had been rather apprehensive and stiff with your affections at first, not that he hated your touch, but more on the lines of physical affection being rather rare. He only really offered hugs if someone was in distress. Affection was mostly verbal, which became one of the most comfortable and easiest forms for him. However, the longer he fought by your side, the longer he was exposed to your affections. It simply grew in frequency and evolved when you’d finally confessed to each other. It became rather easy to predict when you were coming, turning just in time to catch you as you jump-hugged him- even if he were busy. He didn’t need any kind of hint.

It was pretty funny to the other agents, just how in sync you were. From the way you could read each other on the battlefield, to how one moment someone could be talking to Sova and the next they would see a blur that was in fact you glued to his side- his arms tucked under yours. Then, you would be off- happy with the quick affection you stole. You were both already too sweet on your own as it is, it practically gave them cavities to see you two interact.

However, lately, you've found yourself swarmed with work. Brimstone had been choosing you to go on more missions lately, with your skills fitting rather nicely with the jobs he needed done. You were more than happy to oblige, but that left you with little choice but to see your friends and boyfriend less and less. Hugs and headpats turned to quick, rushed pats on the shoulder as you dashed from hallway to hallway, place to place. You couldn’t catch a break.

As of now, you were bolting for the hangar. You needed to get to the dropship now or Viper would certainly boil you alive. But, as you saw Sova, you slowed your pace just enough to reach out and headpat him with a small, apologetic smile. One second wouldn’t hurt. He took a moment before looking down with a small, gentle smile, the type that melted all your worries of the day, before his arms opened expectantly- almost predicting your next move. However, you were off just as quickly as you came, shouting an apology down the hallway.

Ever the worry-wart, the archer couldn’t help the frown on his face as he watched your fading figure. He knew you were getting busier and busier by the day, something you couldn’t help, he reasoned with himself. Every agent was undoubtedly so, given their profession. Saving the world wasn’t a 10 minute job. But, despite his trademark cool and calm demeanour he maintained on and off the battlefield, he found he couldn’t quite quell this strange yearning feeling in his chest. He worried for you whenever there was a battle to be won, though he knew you were more than capable of fending for yourself. There was a reason you were in the Protocol after all. Yet, beside the worries, he found himself unable to shake off this strange ache. This need to hold you longer than a touch.

Most nights, since your sudden increase in demand, ended with him on his own, with you rarely popping in due to either overnight missions or simply passing out on your bed- exhausted. Your fleeting touches whenever you were together just weren’t enough anymore. He missed the warmth that followed your affections. The time spent simply being in each other’s presence. The Initiator didn’t even realise he could miss something like this. It’d never really been something he thought intensively about before you waltzed into his life.

Your current mission had been rather tedious and long, and you were longing to go home as soon as possible. The comforts of your bed or Sova’s sounded rather luxurious right now after rolling around in the sands of Bind. You were pretty sure there was sand in places you didn’t think sand could go. It was near enough night when you landed, with few agents hanging around in the corridors.

Tipping your shoes out once the dropship landed, you ignored Phoenix’s poorly stifled cackling targeted at you. You lift an eyebrow as a loud, audible crunch rings out under his first step out, staring at him with a pointed look. He just looks sheepish as he turns around, so you can only see his back, and you hear the soft shift of sand as it pours out. You’re almost tempted to kick your sand pile at him, but a) you were very tired and b) Viper would probably snap at you two to stop acting like children. She seemed a lot more sour than usual, probably from the sand too.

You hurry down the hall to your dorm and shower, only slightly disappointed that Sova wasn’t resting in your room. At least you could surprise him!

You're quick as you throw your sleep wear on, eager to finally have some quality time with the Initiator. You didn’t have to think about tomorrow, having finally been granted a couple days’ rest as reward for your hard work and dedication. There was already a smile tugging at your lips as you reached his door. You couldn’t lie, you missed being around Sova properly. You’d given up so much time for affection, but it was all gonna be worth it.

As you knock, there’s little pause before the door swings open,

“Hey! Missed me?” you smile cheekily, swaying side to side with an extra pillow tucked under your arm. In the short beat of silence, you take a moment to properly take in his tired features. His blonde hair is down and all ruffled, tousled by what seemed to be a restless nap that you’d probably woken him from. Yet despite the fatigue on his features, his dual-coloured, prismatic eyes seem to brighten evermore at seeing you. And as your mutual stare holds for just a second longer, you realise just how much you missed him.

There’s little time to react as warmth surrounds you. Familiar arms quickly fold around you, securing you in their grasp almost desperately. The way he’s clinging on to you is way too strong to break free from, not that you’d really want to. You blink before a rather large, amused smile pops up on your face. You’d never taken Sova as the touch starved type. You bury your face in his chest and wind your arms under his, hugging him back with just as much gusto and attempting to sway the two of you playfully.

He’s whispering into your hair, the ache of separation more apparent in the way he refuses to let go to talk. As though you’d disappear from him once again, “I missed you so much, my dear…” His eyes are closed, relaxed in both the relief of knowing you’re safe from your recent excursion and relief in having you by his side once more.

You’re at ease for the first time in a long time, letting the moment take hold. There’s a fuzzy feeling in your chest, and you’re sure Sova’s feeling it too with the way he’s smiling in your hair. With a mutual free day tomorrow, you sure as hell were both catching up on the lost time. Nothing was gonna stop you from sleeping in and cuddling,

“Can we just… Stay like this? Tonight and tomorrow?” you muse softly, eyes closing against the soft fabric of his shirt. There’s warmth radiating off of him, like some kind of natural radiator. He chuckles, rubbing soothing circles into your back,

“Of course, my love. I’d love nothing more,” he murmurs, before guiding the both of you to bed- tucking your extra pillow into the few he had. As you slide under the plush covers, it hits you just how tired you really are from the constant back-to-back missions. The constant alertness you held just in case of an ambush. The constant threat of gunfire that loomed over your head. It was taxing, more than you could really admit. You were devoted to the cause, but that didn’t mean you didn’t need breaks.

Settling in, you stay close to Sova with a soft, relaxed smile- embracing this small slice of mundane heaven away from it all. With how comfortable you are, you aren’t too surprised when you start dozing off for real. Your breathing slows, every muscle lax as you’re surrounded by the familiar smell of his cologne and the familiarity of his figure curved around you. You figured you’d be the small spoon tonight. He’s murmuring sweet nothings, a mix of English and Russian as he lulls you to sleep- mushy declarations of love in between.

You’re safe and loved by the archer you hold dearly, you think to yourself, and you believe it with all your heart.
