Released in 2002, this retro-throwback figure is now a retro figure in its own right.
A diecast metal armor change toy that serves as the progenitor of the SH Figuarts line - after all, the "SH" stands for "Souchaku Henshin"
Still one of my favorite figures of Rider 1, after all these years. And my favorite version of Rider 1 - from the Sakurajima crossovers.

I tried to see if I could find any Ryuki merch to show to you to see if you would be able to get it from one of the sites I buy from, so that you could be able to get more merch of your f/o(s?), and the only one that I would've loved to show you was sold outtt, which sucks because it had a figurine of Kamen Rider Scissors in it,, :<<

oh rip... Scissors Stocks must be up this week because my last Mandarake run had one sell out before my order could be finished. I managed to get a different one though, and an Imperer and tiny Tajador.
Mandarake's my favorite site to shop from... international shipping can be a little high ($30-$50) so I never buy from them unless I'm getting a bunch of stuff, but there's so much merch on there for stupid cheap, I found all of Dragon Knight on there lol

Hey Cina, with the revival of Souchaku Henshin figures, does this lower the chances of seeing Figuarts of Kamen Rider Tsukuyomi, Invincible Jeanne or (Gods forbid…) Gifford Rex? Because while I’ll admit that I know the first two are wishful thinking on my part, it strikes me odd that Revice’s final forms haven’t even been hinted at being in production yet despite nearing the end of the series after it and the start of the next one as well.
i don't. really know why those would be related at all
they're always rly slow on final forms either way btw. 02 is only coming out at the end of this year

I think if SHF were cheaper and easier to find I’d like them more than I do
I love my Zero-One SHF most (Naki is my favorite, even though they were my first), but so many of my others just have slight issues, like both SS Tajadol and Imperer breaking elbow joints right out of the box
Souchaku Henshin is the best I’ve seen so far, and I’d like to get a few R&M figures for the same reasons. I don’t like how some SH armor pieces are too loose or tight, but at least the figures are cheap enough for it to not be an issue.
Every time I look at Naki posed on my desk I feel a little bad that none of my Ryuki my beloved figures can pose that complex and precisely, but fwiw SH is still good enough for what I need

How does Figure Rise line up scale wise with Figuarts? Are they noticeably out of scale or would they fit in with an existing Figuarts collection?

Shelfie Showcase (pt 3)
Here, we finish the actual book case with the bottom level, and start a few detail and closeup shots.
On the bottom level we have a lot of artbooks, hardcovers, and oversized volumes. All heavier stuff that would bow the higher shelves.
I try not to put too many toys down here, because it can be a dust magnet.
And yes, I realize how lucky I am to own that Tekkon Kinkreet edition.
How could I forget this one?? Dekaranger Robo!
Now for the detail shots.
First up, DX Dekaranger Robo. What an incredible toy. I got a huge deal on this a few years back, sitting in an overstock sale a few years after release. It's such an incredible DX release. Comfortable without diecast, well integrated electronics, and solid construction.
Now if you'll allow me to indulge in some detail shots.
Next up, the big two here are Souchaku Henshin Kiva, the missing link between Souchaku Henshin and SH Figuarts. As Bandai began to transition from the gimmick based Souchaku Henshin line to the collector aimed hyper-poseable figures. All of the shiny silver is chromed diecast metal. It feels like a beast in the hands.

Revoltech Kinnikuman, my favorite figure of him-- despite the Figuarts technically being a better toy. It's the solid stance and super dynamic proportions. It feels just as bombastic as the manga its based on.
Lastly, I've got to give a little more love to that neon monster Megatron. The purple led makes it light up like a black light in person. It looks so great from across the room.
There's just something pleasing to my eye when you toys in wildly different scales on a shelf. It elevates the display to more than just a figure collection.

only just now finding out that Blade had its own unique action figure toyline (not souchaku henshin) called ���R&R” (which i imagine stands for “Rider and Rouzer”). It’s basically a simple figure of each Rider plus a card box which ALSO mimics the hologram cards from their transformation

souchaku henshin den-o liner form got here today, last of this batch of stuff I ordered. The figure itself is really really nice. Good paint, metal feet, perfect balance, extremely good articulation like it honestly surpasses some figuarts I’ve seen, it just looks real nice. The proportions are a tiny bit weird because of the souchaku henshin thing, but that’s whatever really it’s fine. It is also smaller than a figuarts which is sort of a bummer. The big issue is the hands are absolutely garbage. I cannot get it to hold the sword one handed no matter what I try, idk how the hell anyone else has done it but it’s impossible, these hands were not made for this sword. I’m considering glueing a hand to the thing just so I can get any poses other than the one I have him in now. So I don’t know if I can really recommend this figured based on that, in retrospect I probably should have just spent the few extra bucks on the figuarts version, but overall I’m still pretty pleased with it.
