So uhh.... what the heck happened internet? Did y'all really sleep on this queen?

Seriously though, how come this woman has not completely flooded my dash already???? I am flabbergasted. I am dismayed.

I seriously can not and will not get over her. The answer to my complaints about the rising "single dad figure rescues a kid" trope, and it's lack of female counterparts. A gaurdian figure to child-sized protagonists that not only adequately attempts to protect them from the violence they're up against, but also gives genuine parental smack downs. Who balances her well meaning criticism with genuine love and support?

I honestly do not think I have ever encountered a mentor figure in a narrative who has done the job even half as well as Sophia.

On top of that??? She's a freaking pirate queen. So legendary, they call her the Sea Scorpion! How cool is that?

I fully did not expect her to make it through the entirety of the game, but let me tell you I was thrilled that she got to live, and remains a part of Amicia's life. Im so happy they have a positive adult role model and protector.

Just a reminder for my fellow APT fans! Requiem will have its first anniversary October 18th! That’s just a few weeks away! I’m definitely going to be posting that day, probably a fanfic chapter and a bunch of in game pics I’ve taken.

I think it would be awesome if we all posted something Plague Tale oriented on October 18th to show Asobo how much we loved their game! 🥰 you absolutely don’t have to, but if you can, I think it would be awesome and such an encouragement to Asobo! ❤️

I’m not that great with stealthy games, so I’ve been watching someone play Plague Tale: Requiem. I don’t know why everyone is crying; the ending was good! I mean, Hugo got cured of the Macula, and he and Amicia and Lucas and Sophia sailed off into the sunset for a better life and nothing bad happened to any of them ever again :)

Did you ever stop to think that at this point, Arnaud and Sophia have no idea who Lucas is?!

Of course they know that he is a boy that Amicia knows and is helping her, but they don't know the story behind it. To them he's just a random boy.

And then, all of a sudden, Amicia gets shot, falls unconscious, starts to bleed out, and this boy says he can tend to her wound and save her.

What conversation was that? What did Lucas say or do to convince Arnaud and Sophia that he knows what he's doing?

How desperate did he feel to waste precious time having to explain to someone who didn't know the extent of their connection that Amicia would trust him with her life without question?

What did they think when they saw firsthand how this boy took care of her, with all the affection and kindness he always showed her?

Whatever happened there, Arnaud seemed impressed by Lucas' skill:

And Sophia definitely knows that there was something more between them at the beginning of chapter 16:

It makes me wonder:

What did Lucas do to gain their trust? What kind of proof of True Love did Arnaud and Sophia witness while Amicia was unconscious?
