PLAGUE TALE: REQUIEM SPOILERS BELOW

The whole cutting hair to symbolize change thing is really overdone to me. Like I get the idea behind it but I see it EVERYWHERE, give me something unique.

The Plague Tale: Requiem epilogue is the best example of this. I fully understand that Amicia cutting her hair off is supposed to symbolize the feeling of losing part of herself with Hugo’s death. But I feel like a better option would be to let her have long hair.

This is a girl who’s been fighting and surviving for months, never getting a chance to relax and never really getting a chance at peace. We NEVER see her with her hair down, it’s always in a braid or up in some fashion. Always up and out of the way so she can fight and survive. So at an ending, that finally gives her some semblance of peace, let her put her hair down. Let her hair grow and be impractical. Let her hair symbolize the peace and freedom she finally got now that all the threats are gone.

By no means do I think she should miraculously be over Hugo’s death only a year later. But give me something more intense and interesting than cut hair to symbolize her pain. Give me an Amicia De Rune who decorates her long hair with flowers and feathers to honor her lost brother. Give me an Amicia De Rune who works tirelessly to keep her hair clean while at sea despite Sophia’s teasing. And give me an Amicia De Rune who puts her hair up when she finds the next macula carrier, because she knows that a battle approaches.

I have started a project... Oh boy, here I go again. With this I officially surpass the amount of other fanfics for other fandoms I have written lol (Top was Danganronpa with 5 fics dayum) Anyways, thing is... This is the beginning of what I would've liked to have seen of Béatrice if she had survived. You'll obviously see more of our favorite siblings, more of best boy and apprentice and friend, more of our favorite knight, and of course our favorite pirate queen. Expect action in this one, badass mofos on the making for sure. Not gonna say too much, I'm gonna let you enjoy this first part on your own, I'm already working on the second and last chapter so you have something to look forward to.

News - Ablaze comics announced they will be releasing Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac - Time Odyssey this month. Written by Jérôme Alquié (who also did Ablaze's Space Pirate Captain Harlock comic) and Arnaud Dollen with art also by Alquié, the series started in Japan in Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine in July 2022, and offiically launched in France in September 2022. Ablaze will release it in American-comic style in a monthly issue format, and should be available to order through your local comic stores, or online.
