The ending of Gundham's trial makes me feel bittersweetly at peace with his death while also more determined to keep moving forwards. The ending of Gonta's trial makes me want to scream into a pillow for 10,000 years

“shit, you’re hot” - (( Okay but Breeder!Kaz around Yakuza!Gundham because he doesn’t think that the lad can hear him, and he’s used to talking out loud since it’s normally just Him and Animals lmao - tfw he doesn’t like someone ( and totally doesn’t want to be into guys anyway so whatever ) but must begrudgingly admit to himself when someone is so attractive it’s actually Annoying ))
send “shit, you’re hot” for my muse reacting to overhearing yours accidentally saying that out loud! (X) @not-bcring
Gundham wasn't normally one for attending class, finding his time better spent elsewhere, keeping his people in line, dealing behind closed doors, finding discreet ways to donate his time and money to local animal shelters, but their teacher had other ideas for him and his classmates, and that was the only reason he found himself actually at his desk for once. Not because his mother had recently asked him if he had made any friends yet, and because she looked so disappointed when he said no.
It...wasn't as grueling as he had come to expect, not like the lessons his father had put in through in preparation to "lead" the clan, and the bell was ringing before he knew it. He didn't get very far, though, after most of his classmates filed out, the yakuza being stopped by the ringing of his phone. Expecting it to be one of his people with matter of...business, Gundham was pleasantly surprised to see his mother's name appear on the screen, the man giving a small smile as he answered her call.
"Hello, mother. No, you are not interrupting, the bell has just rung." He fell silent after that as his mother picked up the conversation, knowing her son could be one of few words unless prompted. A side effect of his forced upbringing...
Though listening intently to his mother with that little smile never faltering, Gundham couldn't help but catch the words that came from the breeder, his eyes widening as he quickly glanced about the room to see who Kazuichi could be referring to...
Only to find that it was just the two of them in the room.
Wide eyes stuck on Kaz now, Gundham was snapped out of his thoughts by the call of his mother, a blush lighting up his pale face as he quickly turned his attention elsewhere. "No, I am still here, mother. Apologies. I...became distracted..." He says as if it hadn't been obvious, eyes once again darting over to Kazuichi before looking away just as fast.
This...he couldn't indulge in this. The warmth in his chest, there was no way it could last, not with how cold his heart had become over the years. Even pursuing a friendship was a danger, the yakuza so very unwilling to potentially put anyone in harms way with the life he led, but...
His mother's sad smile, it haunted him. She so desperately wanted her son to find joy in life again, and Gundham would do anything to make her happy.
With a few more passing words in conversation, Gundham once again found his gaze on the breeder despite being the only one to hear his mother's inquiry on if he had any plans for the rest of the day, that hopeful note in her voice so very hard to ignore. "...Perhaps, if he agrees." He hesitated before speaking, eyes now locked to Kazuichi's own as he listened to his mothers happy chatter on the other end.
Within a few moments, he was bidding her goodbye with the promise that he would call her later to "tell her how things went", the yakuza now rising from his chair as his phone was slipped back into his pocket. "...You, breeder. I...wish to make a request of you..." It must have been quite the sight, to see a man who has killed before turn into a blushing mess as he attempted to converse, it so very far from being in his skillset. "Your animals...what is the nature of those you care for? And...may I...see them?"

“That asshole.. always getting in the way of Miss Sonia and I”
You smacked Kazuichi’s arm, scolding him,“You need to be nicer to him. He hasn’t done anything wrong”. We were in the Hotel Restaurant and it was obvious that Gundham and Sonia had gotten closer since the last trial. Kazuichi didn’t like that one bit. He sighed, taking another bite of food,“Look at him, though!”. He points at Gundham, who is allowing Sonia to pet his hamsters. “Only likes him because he’s a magical cult freak”. You shook you head, trying to explain.
“You think maybe it’s because, I don’t know, he isn’t weirdly obsessed with her?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“What I said”
Kazuichi growled, his expression toning down when Gundham approached you both. “You and Kazuichi seem to be two peas in a pod. Tell me, are you both partaking in an intimate relationship?”. Kazuichi was about to get defensive, you just knew it. “What’s it to you?,” he said, fist clenched. Taking a step back, Gundham explains,“I have no such interest in such topics. Rather, Sonia was curious”. Kazuichi’s eyes lit up,“Sonia’s asking about me?”. Gundham cringed and scoffed.
“You’re getting ahead of yourself over pure gossip. Pathetic”
“Watch it, Houdini. I’ll fuck you up”
“Bring it then, you penniless, mediocre mechanic. I’m awfully frightened”
“MEDIOCRE?! I’M A FUCKING ULTIMATE”
He launches himself toward Gundham, knocking him to the floor. Gundham gets a few small, yet hard punches in before Kazuichi lands the nastiest sounding backhand on his left cheek, making heads turn. As gasps can be heard around the room, Sonia runs to Gundham’s side as Kazuichi couldn’t handle himself afterward. “You! How could you?!,” Sonia scolded him. For the first time in forever, Kazuichi wasn’t having it. “How could I?! Fuck you!”. Kazuichi got up, leaving a hurt Gundham and an appalled Sonia on the ground. Gundham turned to you.
“Control your lab rat or I will”
You felt shitty, seeing Kazuichi go off that way. It wasn’t good at all, but by the looks of his response to Sonia, it seems to me like she won’t have to worry about him for a while now. He looked that mad. You thought to check on him, even if you were severely disappointed in him. You had no clue where to look for him and made a mental note of possible places where he might be: his room, Rocketpunch Market, and Electric Ave.
And so began the quest to look for him.
Checking in his room was too simple. When he didn’t respond, it didn’t surprise you that he wasn’t there. You knew he wouldn’t be. I headed off to the Rocketpunch Market. Even if he wasn’t there, you wanted to use the opportunity to buy him a bottle of Ramune. When you got there, there were voices present. That’s when you made them out to be the voices of Nagito, Fuyuhiko, Hiyoko, and Ibuki. “So we’re just not gonna discuss what happened back there?,” Nagito intrigued. Everyone sighed in relief. “Finally, you ask something smart,” Hiyoko said,“Yes, we should definitely talk about it! Kazuichi was totally out of line!”. You got closer to hear, without them seeing you. “Are you kidding me?,” Fuyuhiko spat,“I heard the whole thing. Gundham was being a dick. Had I been the one he disrespected, I would’ve killed that bastard!”. “Well, what did Gundham say?”.
“He called him ‘mediocre’, ‘penniless’, and ‘pathetic’. Kazuichi hadn’t once insulted him. If anything, Gundham approached him!”
“I don’t know,” Ibuki said,“That’s still no reason to be violent! Violence isn’t the answer, only heavy metal!”. “Ibuki, what?”. Ibuki shrugged. Nagito thought for a minute,“Did you even hear why the argument began?”. “Well, Gundham pressed him about his relationship with Y/N,” he said,“but Sonia had asked. He made a comment, hopeful Sonia was slightly interested in him. That’s when Gundham called him pathetic”. “Well, it is pathetic,” Hiyoko said,“But harsh”. The conversation then shifted to something completely different. “Why was he so defensive in the first place,” Hiyoko asked, adding,“he could’ve said ‘no’”. Nagito laughed, shaking his head. “Woah! A laugh like that implies, you believe there’s something going on there!”.
“Ibuki, always knows what to say. Always knows what I’m thinking”
“They belong together,” Fuyuhiko muttered,“Its obvious she likes him”. “Is it obvious or did Sonia tell you?,” Nagito asked,“Everyone, in 3..2..1”... and in union:
“Sonia told me”
Hiyoko laughed. “Yeah, but do you see how they look at each other when Kazuichi isn’t thinking about Sonia?,” she asked,“It’s funny, really”. You decided to come out and without saying a word, grabbed the drink and left. No one said a word as you walked by them. Pussies, all of them. Lastly, you took the long walk to the third island’s Electric Avenue.
Sure enough, there he was, putting together a computer (or a different device with a very small monitor of some sort; it looked handheld). You didn’t want to alarm him, for he might still be tense. You lightly tapped his shoulder. “Hey, Kazu”. He wiped his eyes rather fast, removing what appeared to be glasses. You knew he did this so he wouldn’t be seen crying. “Hi”. His voice was quiet and tired. You handed him his Ramune, making him smile. “What are you doing?”.
“Tinkering”
“Can I watch you?”
“You don’t wanna talk about anything?”
“Not unless you want to”
“Alright,” he said, continuing to modify the device,“Let’s talk”. “What are you doing to that computer-thingy”. He snickered. “‘Computer-thingy’...you’re cute”. Blushing, you were left dumbfounded. “Don’t say that!,” you scolded,“So what is it?”. “I’m making a radio,” he said,“The computer monitor part displays any words that have been picked up by the radio signals. I’ll also make it possible to communicate with them”. You were actually impressed by it.
“That’s so fucking cool”
“Thanks”
There was a bit of silence, then he sighed. “Look, Y/N,” he began,“I’m really sorry about what happened earlier. I don’t know what got into me”. You shook your head. “You shouldn’t be apologizing to me,” you explained,“You need to apologize to Gundham.. and Sonia”. He nodded and mouthed an ‘okay’. He agreed that as soon as he saw him and Sonia, he would apologize. Now that Sonia was in the conversation, he got onto that topic. “Sonia and I can’t be,” he said,“I’ve always known this”. You raised a brow and asked why he pursued her for so long.
“She’s a princess. She’s perfect and kind. She never full on said she isn’t interested in me, so I figured she’d go out with me out of pity”
“But wouldn’t that be a loveless relationship?”
“Not everyone deserves to be loved. I don’t. What I fear more than not being loved is being alone”
“You’d rather know someone is there than to be loved by them?”
“Yeah, it’s fucked,” he admitted,“but that’s over now”. While you were screaming internally, you still felt terrible about what he said. If only he knew how you felt. The question is if he feels the same. “By the way,” he began,“I made you something”. There was a small box next to him wrapped in old newspapers and a ribbon bow. “You and Hajime have been my only friends- well, comrades, on this island. So, I made you both these communication devices!”. You opened the box and a small walkie-talkie device was placed. He further explained.
“They work anywhere on the island. Hopefully, when and if we make it out of here, it works everywhere else. So, y’know, we don’t lose touch”
“I won’t let that happen”
He smiled, warmly. He didn’t say anything else. You were both in a trance, looking into each other’s eyes. “Hey!”. Ibuki suddenly came running towards the two of you. You both snapped out of it, seeing what she needed. She fell in front of you, dusting herself off. “No time to waste!,” she said,“Sonia planned a party at the the Titty Typhoon, what a name for a club, don’t ya think? Anyway, its mandatory, so we’ll see you there at six. Ibuki, out!”. Before you could say anything, she ran off. “Well,” he began,“At least now I could apologize to Gun-dumb”. You sighed as he laughed at his nickname.
Parting ways, you headed back to ensure you could shower and ready yourself a little. As you did, you were grateful for the small moment with Kazuichi. Him not wanting to lose touch? Getting over Sonia. It all made you feel so good and now you were head over heels. Finally, you were ready. You opened the door and there he was waiting for you. “Hi, Y/N,” he began,“I was thinking we should show up together, y’know? Avoid awkwardness from earlier”. You smiled and nodded. “Great, come on!”. He grabbed your hand, dragging you along with him.
You got there a minute or two late. When you stepped inside, the music blasted as loud as possible. You noticed the stares from Nagito and Fuyuhiko. “You should find Sonia, then we can deal with Gundham”. He agreed, checking out the room. Finally, he spotted Sonia near the stage. Cautiously, we approached her. “Hello, Miss Sonia,” he said. She turned around, her rather happy expression turning into something bitter. “What do you want?”.
“I just wanted to apologize for what happened earlier”
“It’s not me who you should be apologizing-”
“I also wanted to apologize for my behavior towards you that’s occurred from the time we’ve arrived. It was really inappropriate, so I’m sorry”
Sonia was no longer bitter, even if she had the right to be. She smiled, nodding,“Well, I guess when you’re being so nice about it.. yes, I forgive you. However, I really think you should apologize to Gundham”. Kazuichi agreed and explained to her that he was trying to find him. “Well,” Sonia began,“He hasn’t gotten here, but he will have gotten back any minute now!”. As if on cue, the doors burst open.
There he was, as tense as ever.
“Tanaka! I’ve been waiting for you,” Kazuichi said. Once in front of him, Gundham was appalled. “You again? I thought I’ve made clear that I was through with you!,” he scowled, shoving Kazuichi into the stage. “Gundham, let him finish,” Sonia pleaded. “Now you’re on his side? What’s wrong with all of you being so pathetic this day?”. Kazuichi got up, trying to explain.
“Just let me finish–”
“I have no reason to further discuss anything with a lowly, degenerate, and pathetic subhuman such as yourself”
“Wait-”
“God, Y/N, I thought you were smarter, but now you’ve fallen for him? You are equally as pathetic!”
“Y/N has a crush on me?”
“God, yes, she does! She is in love with you, you fool!”
“She... loves me?”
Heads were turning and the eyes belonging to them all faced you. There were gasps at first (like this morning), but now there were whispers and small chatter. “Ugh! What’s with you?!,” Sonia yelled,“Kazuichi was only trying tl apologize to you!”. Gundham was the embodiment of the phrase “a face of regret”. “Y/N,” Kazuichi began,“Is this true?”. Your breathing was starting to get worse and worse as you just stood there with an answer, but no courage to confess. You had no other choice, but tear up and say “Kazuichi, no, I-”. You were at loss of words. Then, you ran all the way back to your room.
Once there, you slammed your door shut and locked. You paced around a little, attempting to calm down. When you couldn’t do that, you simply collapsed onto your bed and screamed into the nearest pillow. Your throat hurt and despite having screamed into a pillow, it was still loud enough to hear the scream bounce around the room. You cried into it, for about 5 minutes, moped for 45, then cried again for another 10.
Bing-bong, Bing-bong!
It was time for bed, now realizing that if you didn’t die in your sleep, you’d have to face tomorrow. That was something you didn’t want to do. You began to get ready for bed. Suddenly, there was loud and demanding knocking on your door. You prayed, hoping it was someone here to put you out of your misery upon opening the door, so you opened it without hesitation. To your dismay, it wasn’t the next blackened.
It was Kazuichi.
Your face was all red again and before you could say anything, he spoke. “We need to talk”. You tried shutting the door, but before you could, he forced his way inside. He locked the door behind him. “What?!,” I yelled,“Why are you still here? I don’t want to see you! I can’t-”. He grabbed your face and pressed his lips against yours. “You aren’t one for words are you?,” he asked and after seeing you blush, added,“Guess I’m gonna have to show you”. He lay you down and began kissing you; you didn’t hesitate against him and wanted this to happen for so long. His lips felt amazing on yours. He began to kiss your neck, stopping at your chest. He lifted your shirt up and pulled down your bra, sucking roughly on your tits. He then made his way down. All that was left was-
“Kazuichi, what are you..?”
He unbuttoned your shorts and pulled them down tossing them aside. Looking up at you, he moved your panties to the side and began to work his mouth on your pussy. You whined at the feeling, shifting a little. He held you down, his tongue focused on your sweet spots. “You like that?”. You hummed, nodding frantically. His arms were locked around your thighs to hold you down. You took off his beanie and pulled his hair. He sucked your clit, whining from his hair being pulled. You knew he enjoyed it as he began to be sloppy. He moved away and wiped his mouth before kissing you again. “Sit on my fucking face,” he growled. You saw the fire in his eyes as he said so. “Are you sure?,” you asked him.
“Yes”
You straddled his face and he didn’t wait. He went at it, desperately this time. You moaned as your legs shook. You didn’t just want to sit there and feel stimulation. Noticing the bulge growing in his suit, you grabbed his zipper and pulled it all the way down. You pulled down his boxers and his hard member sprung out. You stroked him gently and spat on his cock. You heard his muffled voice grunt, finally deciding to blow him. “Oh, fuck,” he moaned, his nails digging into your thighs. He thrust upward as you enjoyed him even more. This wasn’t your first time, but it was the first time it felt so good. You stopped riding his face and lay down. He took off his entire suit and boxers, positioning himself between your legs. You’d given a blowjob before, but never actually had sex. You wanted it so bad. He pulled out a condom, slipping it on. As he did, you wondered where he managed to get one. He teased you with his cock in hand, pushing only his tip in, making you whine.
“Oh, you’re so wet”
He shoved in, stretching you out. “Fuck me,” you cried,“Please.. fuck me so hard”. He thrust into you hard, just as you had asked. It hurt for a minute. You shook, attempting to overcome the pain. Kazuichi gasped, feeling your pussy spasm around him. “H-Hey, are you okay?,” he asked. You nodded, your eyes watering; the sensation was overwhelming and in a really good way. His cock grew harder inside you, twitching. His thrusts were rhythmic at first. You can tell he was holding back, he didn’t want to hurt you. He wasn’t hitting your spot like before, so you wanted to help. “Baby, i-it’s not- fuck!”.
“I know, I know. Let me just-”
His hips went from a direct thrust motion, to motion as if his hips were scooping upward. You arched your back as he hit deeper and deeper. “Oh, you like that, don’t you?”. You moaned a little louder, covering your mouth as you were embarrassed and afraid someone would hear what went on in your room. He fucked you harder and asked,“Why don’t you scream for me baby?”.
“Someone’ll hear us-”
“Rooms are soundproof, be as loud as wanna be”
With that, you begged him to fuck you harder. He lifted your legs over his shoulders. His trusts were so sloppy, so messy it hit all areas of your walls, tightening around him. Your eyes rolled back, near frothing at the mouth. “H-ah! I needed this!,” you cried. You put your legs to his sides, grabbing him by the throat and shoving your tongue into his mouth. He moaned when you did, your grip on his throat tightening. The asphyxiation only further excited his cock.
You felt the butterflies in your stomach grow, you knew you were close. “Hh-oh, God, I’m gonna cum,” he groaned. Your kisses grew more aggressive as you wrapped your legs around him, pushing his pelvis deeper into you. “Harder, please,” you whined. He nodded, pounding you mercilessly. Once again, you choked him, dominating him with your kisses. Your pussy tightened around him. You bit him, feeling his dick twitch again. He was shaking and gasped, shooting his load into his condom. He collapsed on top of you, pulling out of your dripping pussy. “Oh my god...,” You sighed wrapping your arms around his neck, playing with his pink locks. His head lay on your chest and his arms were wrapped around your waist all tight.
“I’m sleepy”
You smiled and kissed him. “Thennnn... sleep?”. He shook his head. “We just had really good sex imagine if I go to sleep after that?”. You snickered, making a deal with him. “Fine,” you said,“I’ll forgive it if you hop into the shower with me”. He got up so fast.
“Say no more, princess. Let’s go”
Afterward, you gave him a place in bed, snuggling up with him the throughout the night.
Third person POV
The next morning, Hajime walked out of his dorm. He thought to check up on Kazuichi, seeing how abrupt he left the party last night. He knocked on his door, waiting. Oddly enough, there was no response. Hajime looked around, noticing someone in the distance. There he was, Kazuichi, walking out of a girl’s cabin? Now, the cabin belonging to none other than Y/N! He saw them laughing by her door, Kazuichi smacking her ass as she walked in front of him. Hajime backed up fast, hoping he wouldn’t be seen. He then noticed that they were not headed to the Hotel Restaurant. Now, it was starting to get strange and he had to tell the others. Once they weren’t in sight, he ran to the stairs then all the way up.
“Someone’s late”
Hiyoko stared at him. Hajime, out of breath, shook his head. “Don’t be too hard on him,” Nagito said sympathetically,“It looks like he had something to say”. “Well, I was gonna say something first,” Hiyoko was defensive as she cleared her throat,“I think rather than worry about the next blackened, we should worry about who’s fucking is gonna keep us up at night because I could barely sleep”. “Fucking? You mean, like, I don’t know... sex??,” Hajime asked. The girl’s nodded. “See, last night,” Sonia began,“None of us could get any sleep due to such erotic noises that went on till early in the morning. “Ah, yes,” Nagito said so casually,“Then I do know what you’re referring to”. Hajime decided to bring up what he’d seen.
“Kazuichi walked out of Y/N’s cabin this morning”
Everyone was paying attention now. “Oh my god???,” Hiyoko yelled. “There could be an explanation to that, y’know?,” Mikan whispered. “There’s only one explanation when you see him groping her and he doesn’t get punched”. Suddenly, two people stepped in. “So sorry we’re late,” Kazuichi said,“Y/N needed help..with...a busted pipe!”. “Aren’t you the Ultimate Mechanic? I never heard plumber,” Hiyoko scoffed.
“I do it all. Tinkering with stuff here and there”
“Right”
Kazuichi sat down, Y/N sitting at a completely different table. “So,” Nagito began,“That was quite the eventful night, right, Soda?”. Everyone looked around, having thought they had a world-less mutual agreement that it would be avoided as much as possible. “You mean with Gundham? I already tried apologizing, but-”.
“No, this isn’t about Gundham. This is about last night, last night”
“Nagito, what the fuck are you talking about?”
Nagito laughed, his hand motioning that he gives up and thats he’s over it. Gundham bit his lip, wanting to say something, eventually it came out. “Soda,” he whispered. “Yeah?”.
“You know for a room to be completely sound proof, not a single door or window should be open, right?”
“Uh, yeah?”
“Go outside and let me know if Y/N’s window was closed last night”
It finally struck him. His face instantly became flustered. “Oh,” he mumbled,“You guys heard all that?”. Everyone nodded. “Don’t be embarrassed,” Nagito attempted comfort,“If its in any consolation, it sounded like it was good. Hell, even I’m a little jealous”. Y/N still had no idea. That was the case until Sonia had talked to her. “So, Y/N,” she sat down by her,“Are you and Kazuichi together?”.
“Why would you think that?”
“Well, last night we all heard, um, something”
“Huh?”
“Well, it’s not that serious, but I do have a question”
“Yeah?”
“The rooms are soundproof, right? Well, are you sure you didn’t leave a door or a window open or something?”
Y/N choked on her own air. “H-How much did you hear?”. Sonia smiled nervously, laughing in a tone that was just as anxious. “Um, everything?”. Y/N put her hands over her face and screamed. Kazuichi approached her and kissed the back of her neck. “So, you fucked and that’s it?,” Hiyoko asked,“Like, nothing comes next?”. Before Y/N could answer, Kazuichi butt in. “T-That’s not true! I’ll take good care of Y/N and I’m gonna love her forever!”. He rushed his lips to Y/N’s, making her gasp. The tension and temperature grew within the room, as Kazuichi promised he wouldn’t let a thing hurt her.

CW: Very Suggestive, Swearing, Hajime king of titty™️ appears for a second, Touch the titty, Love the titty, Shuichi is Jealous, Feeling him up in public, Bit o’ nipple play, Teasing, Implied sex, He makes cute noises💜
Note: This was for Titty Appreciation Day™️ but I obviously didn’t finish on time (as per usual)
Tumblr media
It was a usual day, walking around aimlessly with your boyfriend Shuichi after school. That’s when you happened to see an upper classman, Hajime, you gave him a friendly smile before your eyes accidentally wandered down. You must respect the Ten Tit Commandments, and so you lifted your hands and gave two thumbs up to the Reserve Course student. You returned your attention back to the detective who was staring at you with a confused look, you see that’s definitely not the first time you’ve done that, but he doesn’t understand what it means. You look and smile at him but never gave him two thumbs up...‘W-wait am I jealous of a double thumbs up?’ (Yes, yes he is), “H-hey (Y/N)?” “Yeah?” “How come you give a double thumbs up whenever you see like, Gonta, Gundham, or Hajime?” “Thou shall not steal glances.” you said it so smoothly like he was supposed to understand ‘What the hell does tha-’ then it hit him...you were talking about their chests, their big chest. He was rightfully jealous of those thumbs up, you two are dating for fucks sake! How come you never give him a thumbs up...was he...flat chested?
A pout formed on the detectives face, it was an adorable sight. You saw him quickly scan the area before turning to face you, “Shuichi what are you-” feeling him grab your hands very quickly and placing them on his chest. You could feel the fabric of the jacket he always wears underneath your palm, this was such a bold move by Shuichi, someone who was too nervous to hold your hand earlier just put them on his chest, in broad daylight, where anyone could see. Your brain was dialing up trying to process what happened, meanwhile Shuichi immediately turned red realizing that he really did just do that, it was so bold and honestly extremely suggestive but he didn’t want to take your hands off of him. Once it finally registered in your mind, the biggest smirk known to man was on your face “Oh my~” you leaned your face closer to his “I didn’t think you would be jealous over something like this~” the teasing tone in your voice accompanied by a slight purr made his poor heart beat faster than before.
He felt your hands drag across his chest to undo the buttons on his jacket, they slowly went down his torse his breath quickened as you undid the last one. Slipping them underneath the jacket feeling the thin fabric of his white button up, the warmth of his skin seeping through to your cold hands, a shiver shot up his spine as he let out a small gasp. Taking your time to get your hands back up to his chest he just got more worked up with every second, when they were back to their original place he was shaking like an old washing machine. You could feel his nipples harden through the shirt against your palm, finally giving in to your desires you tried to squeeze as much of his chest as possible, this caught the poor detective off guard. A rather high pitched breathy moan left him, he slapped a hand over his mouth wide eyed at the noise he just made. This only egged you on “I never knew my little Shuichi was such a pervert~” wiggling your eyebrows at him “I-I’m not a pervert!” his usual pale face was now a bright red and yet he still didn’t take your hands off of him.
It’s always been fun to tease Shuichi but this was on a whole other level, a mischievous grin was plastered on your face as you rolled your thumbs over them, a whimper escaped him. He latched onto you, burying his burning face into your shoulder, the humiliation of the noises you were pulling from him made him want to hide and never come out. You were feeling him up in broad daylight where anyone can see and hear him, but it was somehow exciting to him the thought of almost getting caught in a state like this thrilled yet terrified him at the same time. He was snapped from his thoughts by the rough pinch you delivered, an embarrassingly loud moan was ripped from his throat. Despite it being slightly muffled you heard him whine into your shoulder “Y-you’re so mean.” Tears pricked at his eyes as he brought himself closer to you desperately wanting to disappear but with this action he revealed the one thing he didn’t want you to know about, you see his nipples weren’t the only things that were hard. But it was too late to save himself, you already felt it poke your pelvis, a smirk creeped onto your face as you leaned in to whisper to his red ear “I think we should go somewhere ~private~ so I can fully appreciate all your features~” You felt him nod against your shoulder and with that you picked him up and took him to a secret room you found, when the next day came he was glad that his jacket covered up his neck.

Coming out to his friends had been so easy that he had almost convinced himself that coming out to his dad could be easy too.
It wasn’t that bad really, he only hit him a few times, he’d been beaten worse for breaking things in the garage.
He was glad he told Gundham not to come though.
“You’re already such a useless fuckin’ disappointment-”
Really, watching how Gundham would react to his father’s abuse would probably have been way harder to take.
“Now you ain’t even gonna have a kid and continue the family? Too busy suckin’ dick like a disgusting-”
At this point his dad was pretty much just repeating himself. Earlier, Soda had tried to appease his father by pointing out that he was actually still interested in women, so technically he might still have a kid someday.
But his father wasn’t listening, so he gave up.
He didn’t really want kids anyways.
He was too scared he’d end up like his dad.
“-outta my house before I throw you out!”
Oh, that was new. He probably should have been listening better. He really was useless.
“What?”
“I said you best get your ass outta my house real quick, or I’m gonna throw ya out, and don’t even think ‘bout coming back unless you’re ready to put this gay shit behind you.”
His father’s entire face was red, a few ugly veins stood out on his forehead, and he looked cartoonishly angry.
Soda couldn’t help but think it was almost funny.
“Can I, um, can I grab some of my stuff first?”
Soda wasn’t really sure how he was acting so calm, it always happened when things with his dad got really bad. Calm didn’t stop his father from hitting him, but it usually stopped him from hitting harder.
His father’s eyes narrowed and his shoulders tensed in a way Soda had learned meant he should start preparing to be hit again, but to his surprise his father just turned and stormed away after mumbling “Ya got 15 fucking minutes,” followed by a string of insults Soda knew were supposed to be hurtful, but hardly affected him anymore.
It’s hard to feel rain drops when you’re already soaked.
He walked to his room an sat on the bed.
He just stared.
What was he supposed to do? Pack? Most his stuff was already in his dorm at Hope’s Peak. Why had he asked to get his stuff when there wasn’t even anything important here?
He looked vacantly around his room.
It was pretty sparse. Just some dirty clothes thrown around on old worn-out furniture. There was a picture of him and his dad on the nightstand.
Maybe he should take that? People always take photos with them in movies and shit, so that’s probably what he’s supposed to do, right?
He threw it out the window instead.
It probably should have made him feel something, but he just felt numb.
He grabbed a pillowcase and stared filling it with his clothes and some of the random junk he had sitting around, not really paying attention to what he was doing.
Was this the last time he would ever be in this room? In this house?
The thought made him freeze.
He was about to lose the only home he’d ever had.
He swallowed a lump in his throat and laid down on his bed, tried to remember the feeling of it and the image of his ceiling.
It was stupid, but he felt like he would miss staring at that ceiling, suddenly every little bump and scratch felt like an important part of who he was. He had stared at it his whole life and now he just… wouldn’t be able to ever again.
He felt like he was upset about the wrong thing, but he couldn’t stop the tears from coming to his eyes anyway.
He was definitely going to miss that ceiling.
There was a knock at the door.
Shit, had it been 15 minutes already?
He stood and grabbed his sack of stuff, wiped his face, and opened the door to his room for what was probably the last time.
No one was there.
He checked his phone to see if his time was actually up, maybe he was just hearing things.
He had 12 missed calls from Gundham and twice as many unanswered texts.
There was another knock at the door.
Not his room door.
The front door.
Oh god, no.
He ran to the front door and pulled it open. He wasn’t the least bit surprised to see Gundham standing there looking both incredibly concerned and incredibly angry.
He was surprised when he didn’t immediately shove both himself and his boyfriend out the door like he had been planning to though.
Something about seeing Gundham just then, seeing the man he felt so safe around right as he was losing his home broke him, and instead of pushing Gundham back and away from the building like he should, he wrapped his arms around him and choked a sob into his chest.
Gundham held him tightly, and for a moment Soda didn’t feel so lost.
And then his dad found them.
“And this is the fucking guy? Really went with the fruitiest fucker you could, huh? Couldn’t pick one that at least looks like a girl could ya, ya little-”
He couldn’t take it if his father and Gundham started fighting. He needed to leave. Now.
He tried to nudge Gundham back, but Gundham just held him tighter.
“Cease your barking, foul beast.”
No.
Gundham shifted, partially shielding Soda from his father. He was definitely getting ready to fight.
No no no.
“I will not allow you to-”
The venom in Gundham’s raised voice sent a chill down Soda’s spine that he wished wasn’t so familiar.
He needed to stop this before it got bad, before he started fearing Gundham’s voice the same way he feared his father’s.
“Gundham, please, don’t.”
It was quiet, pathetic, and mumbled into Gundham’s chest. If his father had heard it he would have laughed and mocked him more, there’s not way it would have stopped him.
But it stopped Gundham.
He felt Gundham tense for a moment, before stroking Soda’s hair and muttering an apology against his temple. It was the exact kind of tender comfort Soda had never dared dream of receiving during one of his father’s episodes.
It made him cling to Gundham harder.
Yeah, his dad really didn’t appreciate that.
Soda was pretty sure Gundham was literally biting his tongue as the two of them walked away from the house, trailed by every insult and threat his father could think to utter. Only once they made it to the sidewalk did Gundham pause and look back. Soda could see him seething, knew Gundham needed to say something, and just pressed his head against Gundham’s shoulder, allowing him to finally speak up.
He didn’t have the energy to stop him anyways.
Gundham locked eyes with Soda’s father and tightened his arm protectively around Soda’s back.
He just hoped Gundham wouldn’t yell again.
“May you one day find enough love to know your actions were wrong.”
It was hardly any louder than Gundham’s usual speaking voice, but the moment of silence that followed it told Soda that his father had indeed heard it.
The renewed vigor of his threats after, however, told him his father didn’t care for the words.
Soda wasn’t 100% sure how they got back to campus.
He vaguely remembers being on a bus and hiding his face against Gundham’s neck, doing his best not to cry in public.
He didn’t need more people seeing how pathetic he was.
He remembers the warmth of Gundham’s hand on his back and the soothing sound of his voice, though he can’t really remember anything he said.
He was so useless he couldn’t even pay attention when someone was trying to comfort him.
It wasn’t until they were walking through the doors of their dorm building that he really felt like he was able to focus again. Something about being in a familiar place just made his mind come back from… wherever it had been.
The first thing he noticed was that he didn’t have the pillowcase he had shoved all his shit in.
He didn’t have the pillowcase.
His heartbeat picked up.
He didn’t have his stuff.
He felt like he couldn’t breathe.
He didn’t have a house,
His knees buckled.
He didn’t have a home.
He fell. He felt sick. He felt like he was dying.
Gundham was saying something. He couldn’t hear him. He couldn’t hear anything but his own too loud heartbeat and his brain’s assurance that he had lost everything and that he might as well just die.
Suddenly he was being carried. He wanted to protest but he couldn’t catch his breath, so he just gasped and choked pathetically in Gundham’s arms until he was slowly lowered onto a bed.
His bed.
His bed in his dorm room, covered in his dirty clothes and his unwashed blankets.
Soda gripped the sheets, his sheets, and something about it made the knot in his chest loosen.
He could breathe again.
He opened his eyes, unsure when he had closed them, and looked down at Gundham, who was crouched down before him holding his limp hands in his own.
A small smile graced Gundham’s face when Soda met his eyes.
“Have you returned to me, my love?”
Soda’s mouth felt dry, so he just nodded.
Gundham stood, slowly, the same way Soda knew he would around a frightened animal, and lifted one of Soda’s hands to gently press his lips to his knuckles.
“Do you keep ice in your fridge, dear consort?”
The question felt bizarre. Ice? Was this an overlord thing? He really wasn’t in the mood for that crap…
He managed to choke out a confused “Huh?”
“Ice, my dearest, is there any in your fridge? We must treat your wounds.”
Soda blinked slowly, waiting for his mind to process what was happening.
His wounds?
Oh.
He must have a blackeye.
“Oh, yeah, I’ll get it.”
When he stood Gundham moved as if to stop him, and he felt anger bubble up in his stomach.
“I said I’ll fucking get it! I’m not that fucking useless!”
He regretted it the second he finished speaking. Gundham’s shocked face hurt him more than anything else that night had.
In his mind his raised voice echoed and distorted until he couldn’t tell it from his father’s.
He was on his knees again, sobbing an apology, as gentle arms slowly wrapped around him and a deep voice offered forgiveness he didn’t deserve.
They must have been close enough to his minifridge for Gundham to reach it, as he suddenly felt something cold being lightly pressed into his hands.
It was an icepack he nearly forgot he owned, Mikan had handed them out to everyone in class on a particularly hot day that summer.
He pressed it to his eye, only then did he notice the dull throbbing pain of it.
He let himself fall forward into Gundham’s chest again.
“‘m sorry.” He mumbled again.
“My beloved consort, I can hardly imagine the pain you are feeling at this moment.” A soft kiss to his forehead. “I will remain by your side as you fight the demons which plague you, however unpleasant they may be.”
The words struck fear in Soda’s heart.
“No.”
“My dear?”
“I don’t want that, Gundham.” He took a shaky breath “I don’t want you to be with me if I’m treating you like shit. I don’t care if I’m hurt or whatever, if I treat you like shit you leave, okay?”
“It’s understandable that-”
“No. Gundham, please, I just-” another shaky breath as he pulled far enough away from Gundham that he could meet his eyes “- I don’t want to end up like him, okay? So you can’t… you can’t just let me get away with this shit. E-even when I’m upset.”
Gundham took a moment to consider his words, looking unconvinced.
“Please Gundham. I couldn’t… I couldn’t take it if I hurt you.”
Gundham stroked his cheek and finally nodded.
“Then I will do my best to keep your behavior in check, and in return I will ask only one thing.”
Soda smiled and cocked his head.
“Yeah?”
“You must be kind to yourself as well, dearest.”
It caught him off-guard.
“You have made a habit of speaking of yourself in a depreciating manner. I will not allow you to speak to me in such a way, and I will not allow you to speak to yourself in such a way either.” Gundham smiled and cupped Soda’s chin. “You are the consort of the great Overlord of Ice, my love, all must treat you with respect.”
Soda couldn’t help but laugh a little. It made his face hurt even worse, but it was worth it.
Gundham pulled him close again and quietly chuckled along with him.
Eventually they stood, and Soda looked around his room until he found a mostly clean face cloth to wrap the icepack in, before pressing it back to his swollen eye.
Gundham simply stood in the middle of the room, seemingly uncharacteristically unsure of himself.
“Um, Gundham? What’s, uh, what’s up?” Gundham looking nervous made Soda feel nervous, it was just too unlike him.
“I am… simply unsure if I should stay.”
“Huh?”
Gundham hadn’t once hesitated to spend the night in Soda’s room since they had returned from their vacation.
“I would be happy to stay with you this night, my dear consort, but…you have gone through so much so quickly, I would understand if you wished to have some time alone, or simply some time away from me, as I am .”
Soda was about to protest, of course he wanted Gundham around right now, having the person you love around in a crisis was like the number one thing you were supposed to want, right?
But the more he thought about it the more he realized Gundham had a point. Maybe he felt calm for the moment, but he was sure he’d have another outburst soon, and as much as he appreciated Gundham’s comfort and reassurance, sometimes a guy really just needs to let himself have a good long ugly cry in private, just to get it all out.
“Actually, yeah… I think, um, I think maybe I’ll sleep alone tonight? If that’s alright?”
“Of course it is alright, dearest.”
Gundham smiled for a second before it faltered.
“But please, do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything, my love. Truly anything, big or small, I will do my best to accommodate you.”
Soda smiled a little but could already feel his emotions welling up again at Gundham’s hesitance.
“I will, Gundham. Or? I won’t I guess? Uh, I mean, I’ll text you if I need anything, okay? Just, uh, try not to worry about me to much for now, alright? I’ll… be okay.”
He’d probably be okay, right?
“Of course, I’ll do my best.” Gundham moved to the door as Soda opened it, turning back as he walked through it. “I love you, my dear Soda.”
Soda felt his throat tightening again.
“L-love you too, Gundham.” Maybe it was a little choked, maybe he closed the door a little too fast, but maybe he just didn’t want Gundham to have to deal with any more of his crying that night.
He waited a moment for Gundham’s shadow to disappear from below the door, before once again sliding to his knees.
He expected to sob, the way he had before, but to his surprise he just breathed out a few more shaky breaths.
Maybe he had had enough of his own crying for one night too.
Maybe he just needed another minute.
He decided he might as well get ready for bed. He looked around his room for some cleanish pajamas and found a shirt Gundham had forgotten at some point. It passed the sniff test, smelling only mildly like BO but mostly like Gundham, so he threw it on along with some loose shorts he was mostly certain he had only slept in a few times that week.
He still didn’t feel like crying.
Soda sat on his bed and pulled out his phone, maybe he should just ask Gundham to come back if he wasn’t going to have another breakdown…
He felt guilty when he saw all the still unread messages from Gundham, but he’d deal with those later. For now, he was more interested in some of the other texts he had.
He had told most his friends that he was planning to come out to his father today, so there were a decent number of texts asking how things went.
As he scrolled through his various messages he began to feel guilty, many of his classmates had not only asked how things went but had followed up a while later with concerned messages. Fuyuhiko had even threatened to send some of “his guys” to Soda’s house - to Soda’s Father’s house -  if he didn’t respond soon.
Luckily it seemed like Gundham had done some damage control while Soda had been out of it, as there were also a few messages saying things like “Gundham says you’re safe, but I’m here to talk if you need it!” and offering various words of support and love.
So, turns out he wasn’t done crying.
What had he done to deserve such good friends? He was just a stupid fuck-up and yet there were so many people ruining their nights by worrying about him. The worst part was he couldn’t even find the energy to respond to them. These people were making the effort to try to reach out to him and he couldn’t even do them the courtesy of responding.
His dad was right, he was useless.
He opened the rest of his messages without reading them, just to clear the notifications, then fell face first onto his pillow and tried not to sob. His throat was starting to feel sore, and all the crying really wasn’t helping.
His phone vibrated and he ignored it.
It vibrated again.
And again.
And again.
He grabbed it to put it on silent, but the most recent message caught his eye.
I swear dude if you don’t respond in the next five minute I’m coming back and kicking your ass.
It was Hajime. He and Nagito had decided to go camping for the weekend, and he had been pretty upset when Soda had told him he was going to talk to his dad while Hajime was out of town. Soda had insisted it would be fine and that Hajime should still go, and Hajime had only agreed on the condition that Soda would keep him updated with how things went.
Something he very much did not do.
He shot off a quick “I’m fine,” and almost immediately after he hit send his phone began ringing.
The bastard had tricked him, he couldn’t say he hadn’t noticed Hajime calling now.
He sighed and answered his phone.
“Yeah?” His voice was kind of scratchy, but he didn’t think he sounded like he was crying at least.
To his surprise, instead of the snarky response he had been expecting, he simply heard a relieved sigh and a slightly distant sounding “He’s okay,” before a louder “You had me really worried man.”
Soda choked back another sob. Hajime sounded so genuinely relieved, he could only imagine how worried he must have been.
And he had been planning on just letting him worry…
God he was an asshole.
“I…” Soda really didn’t know what to say.
“It’s okay, I heard from Gundham so I know I should have just dropped it but… I dunno, man, I just really needed to hear your voice I guess? Like to be sure you’re alive?”
Soda let out a deep, shaky breath. He knew Hajime would be able to hear it over the phone, but he needed to calm himself down.
“S-sorry Haj. I shoulda just texted you. It’s my fault for being such a fuck up.”
“Soda, shut the fuck up right now or I actually am going to come back there and kick your ass. You’re not a fuck up, your dad’s a piece of shit, and you 100% are not allowed to feel shitty about not responding to people while you’re in the middle of a fucking crisis, got it?”
Soda froze before laughing at Hajime’s outburst.
“Weren’t you the one g-getting mad at me for not responding, d-dude?” He did his best to keep his voice light, but he couldn’t quite manage it.
“Yeah I know, I shouldn’t have. I probably just made you feel worse, huh?”
Soda paused for a moment.
“Yes and no?”
“What’s that supposed to mean, dude?”
“L-like… yeah seeing your messages and shit made me feel… really shitty, but… now that we’re talking I feel… I dunno, man, just... less shitty?”
There was a quick burst of static that Soda assumed must have been an amused huff from Hajime.
“Soda?”
“Yeah?”
“I love you, man, okay? Don’t forget that.”
Tears welled up in his eyes and he had to swallow around a lump in his throat before responding.
“I love you too, Haj…”
There was a brief pause, both of them feeling a little awkward about being so open, but enjoying the feeling none the less, then-
“No homo.”
They said it at the same time.
Soda’s body shook with laughter, he could hear Hajime howling on the other end of the call and could just barely make out Nagito asking what was so funny in the background. His face hurt so bad, but he couldn’t really make himself care just then.
When their laughter died down Soda sighed.
“Thanks for this, Haj. I… I think I really needed to hear some of that shit…”
“Anytime, Soda.”
There was a brief pause and Soda knew Hajime was debating whether he should end the call or not.
He didn’t want to cut into Hajime’s camping date for too long, so he made the choice for him.
“Anyways, I’m feeling pretty tired, so I’m gonna head to bed now.”
“Okay, man, just… call me if you need to talk more, okay?”
“And risk catching you while you’re in the bone zone? No thanks, dude.”
“First off, never call it that again, second, I’m serious, Soda, call me.”
“Yeah, yeah, dude.”
“Soda.”
“I will. I promise! If I need to talk I’ll call you, even if I think you’re probably fucking, okay? Happy?”
“Yes. Now get some sleep.”
“Okay, mom. Good night.”
Soda heard Hajime’s faint chuckle as he hung-up, and found himself genuinely smiling for what felt like the first time that night.
Sure, maybe him and Hajime weren’t great at actually talking about heavy shit with each other without making it all into some kind of joke, but maybe jokes were the exact kind of thing he needed right then.
Jokes and something to fucking drink.
All the crying he had done that night had really killed his throat, and while the laughing had felt better, it had still just made him that much more aware of how dry his mouth was.
His phone buzzed as he stood to look for a drink. He picked it up expecting to find some snarky message from Hajime, only to see Sonia’s name on his screen instead.
Hello Soda, I do not mean to bother you, but I have made too much tea, and was wondering if you would like some.
Soda smiled at the message. ‘Made too much tea,’ as if Sonia wasn’t a master when it came to all things tea related.
I can leave some at your door if you are not in the mood to chat! I don’t mind!
Was he in the mood to chat? Talking with Hajime had been great, exactly what he needed probably, but would talking with Sonia be the same?
Their relationship had significantly improved over the past few months, the two of them would even sometimes hangout without Gundham around now, but they had never really talked about serious stuff before, they always just kept things light.
But he could really go for some tea, and maybe letting someone other than Gundham see that he was alive and in one piece would help him stop feeling so guilty about ignoring his friends.
Tea sounds good, thanks. I wouldn’t mind a quick chat either.
Great! I’ll be right over! ヾ(^▽^*)
Less than a minute passed before Soda heard light footsteps coming down the hall. He did his best to throw most of the dirty clothes scattered around into the laundry basket and hide some of the clutter before Sonia made it to his door.
“Soda? It’s me, I’d knock but my hands are full.”
“Be right there.” He lanced around his room and deemed it acceptable before pressing his icepack back against his eye and opening the door.
Sonia smiled brightly at him, and he pretended not to notice the way her smile faltered when she first registered the icepack as he invited her in.
There was a small, low table in the middle of the room and Soda gestured for Sonia to set the tea down there. They both sat in uncomfortable silence for a moment, maybe this had been a bad idea after all, Soda wasn’t really in the mood to stumble through an awkward conversation right now.
Sonia reached for a cup at the same moment Soda did, and the strange mirrored movement caused them both to giggle a little, breaking some of the tension.
“I am sorry for coming over like this, I admit I simply wanted to check that you were okay and didn’t prepare a topic for conversations.”
“It’s alright, Sonia. I mean, I kind of knew, you never mess up tea.” Soda smiled at her as best he could while holding the icepack to his eye.
“I apologize for being deceitful.” She smiled back. “I simply couldn’t think of-”
Soda shifted the icepack in his hand, pulling it back from his face to readjust the cloth wrapped around it, only for Sonia to abruptly stop talking and cover her mouth.
Oh right, his eye probably looked pretty messed up right now.
He covered it back up quickly.
“Sorry Sonia, it’s-”
Sonia stood, and Soda assumed she was about to excuse herself, but instead she stepped around the table, knelt beside him, and pulled him into one of the tightest hugs he had ever experienced.
“I’m so sorry Soda. You d-don’t deserve any of this.” Was she… crying? “Your… the man who did this doesn’t deserve you as a son.” He could hear it for sure now, she was definitely crying. The lump in his throat came back in full force, and he had to fight not to sob along with her.
“S-Sonia, it’s alright, d-don’t cry…” God now he was crying.
“It’s not alright!” She yelled and pulled him further against her. Soda hid his face against her shoulder. “It’s really not alright, Soda…”
Sonia rubbed Soda’s back gently with one hand, while stroking his hair and keeping him close with the other, while he sobbed against her and did his best not to get any snot on her clothes.
She was soft and warm and comforting, and he couldn’t help but remember being held in much the same way by his mother, years ago before she had passed.
It made him sob harder, but Sonia just kept holding him.
They stayed like that for a while, just holding each other and crying together while their tea got cold.
Eventually, after they had both calmed down a little, Sonia released him, shifting her hand from Soda’s head and back to hold his free hand instead.
“Soda, I…” she looked up, into his good eye, “I think you’re very brave.”
He couldn’t help but blush.
“N-not really, I mean I was pretty scared…”
“But you are!” Sonia lifted his hand and clasped it between her own, holding it between her chest and his. “I don’t believe I would ever have been able to speak to my parents of my preferences had I not know before hand that they would be supportive! But you did! I think that makes you extremely brave!”
He didn’t feel brave, but maybe she had a point…
Wait.
“Your preferences?”
Sonia blinked and tilted her head.
“Gundham didn’t tell you?”
“N-no?” Wait, was the girl he had spent so long being creepily obsessed with not even into guys to begin with? “Sonia, are you, uh, not into dudes?”
“Oh, no I am, but I like women as well.” She blushed a little, but smiled. “I believe we are the same in that regard, correct?”
He just nodded.
Damn, first Hajime and now Sonia? He really needed to stop assuming all his friends were straight.
“But, uh, doesn’t that get complicated? Like with you being a princess and all?”
Why the fuck had he said that. That was like the opposite of the right thing to say.
He was definitely 2 for 2 with fucking up when his friends came out to him.
“Oh, a little. I am expected to produce an heir one day, but there are ways to do that even if my partner and I are not able to do so on our own.”
“Ah, right, that makes sense.”
Soda nodded and decided to chug his cold tea to stop himself from saying anything else dumb.
Sonia visibly cringed as he drank but didn’t stop him.
“You know I don’t mind making you some more, Soda.” She spoke as he lowered his now empty cup.
“N-no thanks, it’s good. Even cold it tastes fine.” He did his best to smile convincingly.
Sonia quirked an eyebrow but didn’t say anything, instead smoothing out her skirt and giving her own cold cup of tea a disdainful look.
There was another slightly awkward silence before she stood once more.
“Then I think… If you would not like any more tea, I shall leave and allow you to rest for the night.”
“Ah, yeah. Thank you… for the tea and… thank you.” Soda stood as he spoke, and Sonia reached out to squeeze his hand once more before gathering her things and heading for the door.
“Good night Soda, sleep well!”
“You too, Sonia.”
“Oh, and…” Sonia smiled and paused for a moment, flicking he eyes down to Soda’s chest. “You look very good in that shirt. It’s cute on you.”
With that she left, letting Soda close the door behind her.
His shirt is cute? What shirt was he even wearing?
He looked down.
He felt his whole face heat with embarrassment as he remembered he had thrown on one of Gundham’s shirts earlier.
Oh.
“It looks cute on you.”
So Sonia had definitely recognized it.
He covered his face with both hands and laughed at himself. Why was he even this embarrassed? Sonia had been one of the first people to know him and Gundham were dating. He was just being dumb.
He pulled the shirt up to his nose and inhaled, smiling.
He was pretty sure he knew the exact night the shirt had ended up in his room. They had both been a little drunk and giggly, happy in each other’s arms as they had collapsed onto Soda’s bed.
Soda’s heart throbbed at the memory.
He wanted to see Gundham.
It had gotten pretty late though, maybe sending a text first would be a good idea.
Soda picked up his phone and clicked on Gundham’s name to open the messaging tab, pausing once he did.
Three little dots appeared at the bottom of the conversation, then disappeared, then appeared again.
Soda waited, but a message never came through.
Was Gundham… unsure? Soda watched the dots and imagined his boyfriend typing and erasing messages, unsure what to say or even if he should say anything, and the thought made him smile.
He decided to put Gundham out of his misery.
I’m coming over. Let’s watch a movie
He grabbed a random movie off his shelf, he didn’t really care what they watched. His phone buzzed, then buzzed again.
Dearest, I know you need space right now, but I just wanted to remind you that I love you and that you may call on me for anyt
Ignore that! I did not mean to send it!
I am happy to hear you are coming to my abode, my consort, I will ensure it is ready for you.
So he really had been sitting there trying to come up with the perfect message to send Soda, huh?
God, Gundham was such a dork.
Soda loved him for it.
He wasn’t really sure what time it was. Movie credits were scrolling across the little TV screen on the other side of the room, playing gentle music over Gundham’s quiet snores.
Soda rolled himself over, leaving his head on Gundham’s chest but shifting from his side to his back, and stared at the ceiling.
He had spent a good many nights in this room over the past few months, but the ceiling wasn’t familiar the way the one back in his father’s house had been. He didn’t think he’d cry if he never saw this one again.
Gundham grunted in his sleep and wrapped an arm around Soda’s back.
But he’d cry if he never got to see Gundham again. Or Sonia, or Hajime, or any of his friends. Even Nagito.
He’d cry if he lost them, he’d cry if they got hurt, and he’d cry if they cried.
Because he loved them.
Because they loved him.
Because even if he had lost the home he had known all his life, many of his own possessions, and even the man he had called father, he realized he hadn’t lost everything.
His home was with Hajime, while they laughed and made jokes at each other’s expense.
His home was with Sonia, making polite conversation and sipping tea so good he could hardly believe it was store bought.
His home was here, in Gundham’s arms late at night, feeling safe and secure even as his whole world was being turned on its head.
His home was with the people he loved.
All he had lost that night was a house.

Kazuichi Souda
You wait impatiently, filing your nails to spend the time.
People around you stand with their briefcases in hand, waiting to return from their job. But that’s not what you care about. Not any of these normal, average people. The person you are waiting for is extraordinary. And he’s going to get off of that train.
Even though he got accepted into the best school in Japan, and you didn’t, there were no hard feelings.
Because you aren’t anything like these briefcase carrying average people.
You are the girlfriend of the SHSL Mechanic!
Now, you stare down at your nails, done perfectly and painted pink and yellows.
He’s coming home, finally, for spring break.
Every night he has facetimed you, telling you about his time, telling you about all of his friends and the fun times they have together.
You wonder if he misses you the same way you miss him.
In the distance you can see a train, white and smooth with the green front, and flashing characters for a name.
Ah!
Your heart leaps and you fight the urge to jump up.
Is he wearing the school uniform? His work jumper?
Does he have the patches you gave him? Oh, what a wonder!
You wonder if he still has that silly beanie he wears to hide his roots.
Calmly, even though you are about to explode, you stand up, leaning weight onto one of your legs before wrapping your arms around yourself.
You can hardly contain you breath, either, having to open your mouth to get more air.
He’s really going to be here!
The train stops, coming to a slow halt.
When the doors open, you can hardly believe it! He moves his way out, twisting through the crowd.
His beanie, his jumper, it’s all there! It really is Kazuichi!
You take a big step towards him.
For the last few months you have been waiting for this, hoping that he would return back to you. And now here he is.
Wrapping your arms around his neck, your lips meet before your bodies do. The drawback has him stumbling but he gains his composure, holding onto your waist, keeping you pressed against him.
He pulls back, letting your feet touch the ground, before diving back in for another kiss.
Nothing in the world can bother you anymore.
His arms feel like safety, holding you warmly.
Gundham Tanaka
“Be more productive.”
“Productive?” He scoffs. “I do not have time for such foolish things like that.”
You just shake your head, continuing to jot down notes onto your pad.
He sits at your desk, spending his time on your computer researching whatever it is the SHSL animal breeder researches.
And here, on your bed, is all of the work he should be doing.
“There are no cons to being productive,” you mutter.
In the swivel chair he turns, just barely, to glance at you from over his shoulder.
“My temper when it comes to mandatory tasks is rather faulty.”
“And it’s going to get worse if you don’t do it, Tanaka.”
Another scoff leaves his mouth as he turns back around. “Calling me by my given name. Touché.”
“What if I said I just want you to sit next to me?”
“Ah!” He laughs. “I will not be fooled by such tricks.”
“So you don’t want to be next to me?”
Damn you, woman! Pulling at his heart strings! Your logic has no flaws.
He gets up, his frame broad and confident, before making his way towards you. “Maiden of the night and the winner of debates.”
He plants himself next to you while you lean your back against the headboard.
“Taker of hearts,” you say. The proximity of you two thins, ever so slightly, on your behalf.
“Taker of a heart.” He matches your movements.
One of his hands reaches up, stroking your hair, the touch giving you permission to feel his poisonous skin.
You kiss him, and he draws you close, his hand making a fist.
Your hands pull up his shirt, sliding your hands underneath his layers to run your fingers up and down his body.
The touch makes him shiver, a small whimper coming out of his mouth.
So you pull back. Both of your noses touch, just barely, and he hovers over your face.
You whisper, “are you sure you want to do this?”
His beady eyes roll. And he answers with actions rather than words.
Pushing you backwards, up against the headboard, and raises your thighs up so they rub against his waist.
His knuckles turn white from gripping onto the bed, his hands gripping the wood, locking you in place.
You’re squished.
Every inch of your torso is pressed up against something, and you can feel him between your legs.
Then, he attacks your mouth again, slipping his tongue in and out of your mouth, forcing you to make the cutest noises.
Nagito Komaeda
After your stroll around the new island, you cross the bridge back to the cabins.
Nothing new was found, no more clues to why you were here.
You still search everyday.
What if you miss something?
So you make it your job to be the investigator to get everyone off this island!
“Still walking around, I see?”
The love interest, as you coined him. He lets you hold him when you’re scared, and he runs his fingers through your hair to calm you.
Now the two of you are on flirting basis.
“Are you feeding off of my hope?” You tease, walking up to him. His white hair is brushed, from this morning when you snuck into his cabin. He doesn’t look as tired as he usually does.
He joins you on your walk, which you don’t mind about.
“Are you making fun of me? How unfortunate...” He replies with his usual breathy tone, casting his gaze down to the floor.
“Oh, Nagito, you know I like you too much to do that.”
Quickly, you place a kiss to his cheek.
He stops walking, his hand going to the area.
The shock on his face almost scares you. Did you do something wrong?
Is he surprised at your words or your actions?
“What? It’s not like--”
You stumble back, but hands catch you, pulling you close.
He kissed you, and rough, holding you to him like it was his life’s purpose.
And knowing him, it probably is.
But he’s... actually kissing you?
Soon enough it ends. And he pulls back, embarrassed at himself, returning to the walk like nothing happened.
“You kissed me.” You gawk.
“Sorry I put you through that. It’s a shame you had to kiss someone like me.”
Truly, you never thought he could make you so flustered. You can hardly walk, cheeks heated and heart beating.
“Wh-Why did you?”
He turns to you, an innocent smile on his face. “You said you liked me, and I like you too. Simple, right?”
“Right...” you agree with a chuckle. Unbelievable. Hajime was right, he absolutely unpredictable. “Right.”

So I did the random word generator, and I got paper. And that made me think of paper airplanes. So, how about reader making a paper airplane and throwing it through the SDR2 Boys window, and inside the paper airplane is a love letter confessing reader’s feelings toward them.
T h a n k you for this bc I gotta practice writing the bois. I absolutely love writing these types of scenarios owo
..........
Teruteru
“Oh? What could this be~?” The chef noticed the paper airplane that appeared on the floor of his cottage, picking it up.
It was only then he noticed his partially opened window and chuckled. For him, it was easy to put two-and-two together.
“Ah, how cliche. Do I have a secret admirer on this island? Perhaps they wanna share all their secrets with me~?” The thoughts running through his mind almost made his nose bleed, though he managed to control himself as he unfolded the plane to read its contents.
And it turned out to be a simple love letter from you--short, sweet, and innocent. You even marked it with a heart at the bottom of the page.
Teruteru’s face became tomato-red as he clutched the letter to his chest, before hurrying out of his cottage and to the hotel restaurant, unable to contain his excitement any longer.
“I’m on my way, my new beloved~!!” He trilled, knowing you’d be waiting for him there.
...............
Gundham
“Huh..so this is what the mighty winds have carried into my domain.” Gundham mused as he looked at the paper airplane that somehow landed on his bed. He looked outside for a moment, wondering who could have sent it--but there was no one.
“A mysterious messenger, hm..what do you think, Cham-P?” He glanced at the large golden hamster on his shoulder, seeing his nod of approval. “Fuhaha! Then it’s decided! Now..let us see what this message entails.”
With a hum, he unfolded the note and read it thoroughly, gawking about halfway through it.
“...wh-what...this...is this...a-a proclamation of love?!” He tugged his scarf over his blushing face. “But..who could love such a....ah..” Then he reached the bottom of the note and saw it was none other than-
“[Y/n], but of course. There’s...a certain aura to them that..I can’t help but feel enchanted by,” he muttered to himself. “But I shall harden my heart until I know this proclamation is true, lest I turn out to be a blind fool..”
With that declaration, he got up and summoned the Dark Devas to his side, before venturing out of his cottage, clutching the note tightly.
............
Kazuichi
“AH!! I’VE BEEN AMBUSHED!!”
The scream made you stop in your tracks as you looked back, seeing the door fly open and a certain mechanic come rushing out.
“[Y/n]! Thank god you’re here!” His hands flew onto your shoulders. “I got hit by an object!! I-I think someone was tryna kill me!!”
‘Oh boy..’ You thought, realizing that your plan didn’t go accordingly. “Well, did you see what the object was?”
“N-No...but...what does it matter?!!”
“.....wouldn’t it help to find out what it was if you’re convinced it was attempted murder?”
“..that’s true. C’mon. I don’t wanna go back alone.” Kazuichi dragged you into his cottage, making sure he locked the door once inside. “It came through that window, hitting me in the back of the head....damn it. I just wanted fresh air and I can’t even get that!” Then he shut the window with a huff.
“Was it this?”
Looking back, he saw the paper airplane in your hand. “Yeah-!! Wait...a paper airplane? Seriously? That’s what attacked me?”
“I sent this.”
“...so YOU attacked me?!”
“I didn’t mean to!” You snapped, causing him to fall silent, before you unfolded it and handed it to him. “It’s a letter...for you. It’s got nothing to do with murder, I promise.”
He cautiously took the paper and read it, mumbling to himself. By the time he was done, his face became red. “[Y/n]...is this true?” He looked up at you with a toothy grin and stars in his eyes. “You like me??!!”
“Yeah..” You smiled back. “Though I was hesitant to send it since, y’know....you had eyes on Sonia-”
“Oh! Don’t worry, I only admire Miss Sonia from afar!” He explained. “As the princess she is, I only wanna respect and defend her. Nothing more! I-I’ve honestly...liked you for a while too. My bad for not reading this sooner.”
“It’s okay,” you chuckled. “At least I have my answer.”
...............
Fuyuhiko
“Sheesh, try not to poke my other eye out next time, okay?”
“Wh-Wha..” You spun around to see the Ultimate Yakuza, realizing he was clutching the note--that was once a paper airplane--in his hand. “Sorry, Fuyu..I had no idea where it would land so I uh...booked it. Kinda. How did you know-?”
“Saw you taking off before this even got into my room,” he explained. “I still got one good eye to keep a lookout for things.”
“..ah, I see..” You rubbed your neck awkwardly. “So um...you must’ve read it.”
“It’s laughably cliche, but...I...uh...d-do feel the same way as you..” Fuyuhiko mumbled the last part, but you could hear his confession clear as day, and your eyes lit up.
“R-Really? I mean...I...I wasn’t sure, since I know you’re still trying to move on from-”
“It’s okay.” He sighed, looking back at you. “It..hasn’t been easy, but..you were the first to forgive me after that trial. Even though...I acted like a total shithead to you when we first got here. Still feel kinda bad about it..”
Your racing heart eventually calmed itself, as you smiled gently and approached him. “It’s okay. If..you wanna make up for it, maybe we can..uh..hang out at the movie theater sometime today?”
“Tch, like a first date?” He chuckled. “Alright. I’m in.”
............
Nekomaru
“[Y/N]!!”
The booming voice made you nearly slam the mailbox door on your hand. You had a habit of checking it mornings and nights.
You whirled around to see Nekomaru rush over to you, a wide grin on his face as he clutched a certain note in his large hand. “I have received your confession letter and accept it wholeheartedly!!”
“R-Really?” You gawked. “Just like that..?”
“Of course!” He laughed. “Your method of delivery is unique! Very old-school. And clearly you’ve put all of your heart and soul into this letter. If I were to ever reject that hard work, my name wouldn’t be-!!”
“Nekomaru Nidai?” You chuckled, feeling calmer now that he was serious.
“See? You already know me better than I know myself!” The Ultimate Team Manager grinned as he hugged you to his chest. “Can you hear that? My heart is beating with great spirit and love!!”
“Yeah, I definitely hear it loud and clear.” Smiling, you hugged him back, happier than ever.
...............
Twogami
When Byakuya found a paper airplane on his desk, he didn’t know what to think at first.
This was childish at best--sneakily throwing it through the window and then taking off? If one of the others wanted to talk to him about something, then they should’ve just rang the doorbell.
Surely he wasn’t that intimidating of a leader...even if some didn’t like it.
But curiosity eventually won over everything else, and so he took the paper, realizing there was a message on it. “Hmm, very strange..” He hummed, opening it to read what it said.
And he swore his heart stopped, realizing this was a confession and the sender was....you?
Did you really think of him that way? Even though..he hasn’t fully told you the truth about his Ultimate?
And if he did, would you still send him something like this?
.............
Hajime
Hajime didn’t know why he woke up earlier before the morning announcement--until he noticed something right next to his face. “Huh..? What’s this?”
Sitting upright, he picked up the object. “Oh, a paper airplane. Haven’t seen one of these in forever.”
With a small chuckle, he unfolded it, having noticed letters on the inside of it--and also a red heart, oddly enough. He read the message written and...his heart began racing as he realized this was a love letter.
Even though he had his suspicions, he couldn’t believe someone on this island would love a talent-less person like himself.
Why?
As he read the sender’s name, Hajime jumped as he heard a knock on his door. He quickly stuffed the note under his pillow before going to answer it--seeing you on the other side.
“A-Ah..[y/n]..hi. Thank you for knocking..” He tried to play it cool, tugging on his shirt collar awkwardly, though you just smiled.
“I take it you read it already?”
“What? Oh! Uh..yeah..” The poor boy’s face grew redder by the second.
“I thought the paper airplane idea was too childish, so...I figured I’d come here and confess myself. But...seems I’m a little too late for that.” You chuckled nervously. “So....?”
“I-I don’t know what to say..” He admitted. “Why me? I’m the most ordinary out of everyone here.”
“Oh. Hajime.” With a small laugh, you took his hand into yours. “Because it’s you that I feel happiest around..all those times we’ve spent together..meant a lot. I had fun and I’d like to do more of them with you.”
“A-As..your boyfriend you mean?” Hajime gulped, smiling as he tried retaining his composure. “Sure. I’d..love to do that.”
............
Nagito
“Heh..I never would’ve guessed a nobody like me was at the center of someone’s heart..”
“Uh, I’m right here, Nagito.”
“Oh I know.” The white-haired male chuckled as he spun around on his heel, facing you. He looked down at the love letter you had cleverly disguised as a paper airplane. “But..come to think of it..Mikan’s words had me a bit...crushed..”
You tilted your head, remembering the third trial. “You mean, when she said-?”
“That I had nobody who loved me? Well, it seems she was wrong about that.” His smile seemed to stretch wider as he put the letter in his pocket. “I guess I can’t call myself a stepping stone anymore..now that I have a new purpose--one that fills me with a much greater hope!” He wheezed out a small laugh.
While his laughter usually unnerved the other students, you could only smile and feel your heart grow warmer whenever you heard it.
“Yes, yes..perhaps this was the love she was talking about.” Nagito put a hand to his chest. “But this love wasn’t born from despair.”
“Nah, that’s just a twisted sense of love.” You reached out to take his other hand into yours, bringing him slightly closer to you. “This is real, genuine love.”
His face became a bit flushed, though it wasn’t from the despair disease, but from the simple realization that..
He was lucky enough to be loved.
..........
Izuru
“So, instead of talking to me, you sent this.”
“Oh!” You turned around to see the “Ultimate Hope” standing before. There was an open note in his hand that you tried to deliver to his room in the form of a paper airplane.
The keyword is “tried”, as he was quick to call out to you before you had the chance to run away. So you felt embarrassed, especially as he skimmed over your letter.
After a long and awkward silence, Izuru finally looked up at you. His face remained blank, though you could tell he was curious about your message.
“Yep, that’s my uh..confession.” With a sigh, you approached him calmly. “I know..love is something foreign to you, but...I figured I’d take my chances. Even if the world’s gone to shit, I had to at least get this off my chest. And before you ask...no, it’s not because of your talents.”
“....I see.” He muttered, his gaze returning to the letter. “You understand what I am and what I’ve done, and yet...huh...?” Then he put a hand to his chest, stunned for a moment as he felt his heartbeat slightly quicken.
Wait..
His heart?
What was happening to him?
What is this?
“Huh, they might’ve suppressed your old feelings. But..not all of them, it seems.”
He wasn’t sure what to say to that exactly.
This was something he definitely couldn’t have predicted.

Yukizome ask him with excitement "what?! Can't believe you got one before me?!" Kazuichi breakdown "no one want you, you know." Hiyoko said mean things to kazuichi, "have you do 'it' with her?!" Once again teruteru got punch by yukizome.
Nagito laugh at everyone behavior and point to someone and say "that's my hope if you asking." They follow his fingers lead them to.....
"(Y/N)?!?!"
(Y/n) once again look the window and then shift her attention to everyone with bored eyes "what?", And everyone keep asking the same thing with nagito to (y/n).
And of course (y/n) answer the questions one by one, and then she stop, she got up from her seat walk to the window, open it, and jump out of it.
Everyone shouted except nagito, as a future husband childhood friend (+ best friend) he walked to the window, but first he bow to the teacher and everyone else, and joining (y/n) everyone look through the window to see if they are okay.
The fact that they're fine from falling us shocking, everyone sigh relief and packing their stuff and go to their dorm
For (y/n) and nagito, they didn't life in a dorm, they life together outside the campus, peacefully, no shouting, no chaos, as they walked to their house, the classmates minus chiaki and ryota, don't forget about yukizome, following them, as (y/n) and nagito stol walking "well this is our stop." Nagito grab (y/n) hands and kiss it.
(Y/n) look at nagito action, she avoided nagito face because her cheeks is reddened a bit, "let's go, what are we waiting for?" Nagito ask her with a warm smile, the group who spy them is dying, especially kazuichi and teruteru.
Nagito step closer to (y/n), grab her right cheeks and slowly lift her head to Making her look at him and....
Everyone look at them intensely wishing them to kiss, it's obviously nagito noticed it, although he was originally want to kiss (y/n) but not in the public, (y/n) open her mouth a little and close her eyes.
Nagito bring his face close to her, they're not kissing, only a small gaps between their lips, and yet their breath becomes heavy, they stay for a while like that, holding each other really close and then they parted away.
The group is currently crying, they can't handle it so they back to their own dorm, and then nagito took a chances to actually kiss her, (y/n) look at nagito who is not looking at her, she follows where's nagito was looking and see their classmates walking away with tears and yukizome who is crying, shouted 'youth' repeatly with both arms up.
The couple looks at them sweatdrop, nagito hands still gripping on (y/n) cheeks and waist, he brings his attention to the women who he's holding, moving his hands from her cheeks to the back if her head and start kissing her jawlines.
(Y/n) shocked and covering her neck and look at nagito, "w-why did you do that?" (Y/n) wanted to back up but nagito hands still on her waist, "hm? Oh, just.. forgot it." Before (y/n) can answer that, a pairs of lips touching (y/n) lips, pulling her to a kiss by nagito.
(Y/n) eyes shot open, shock for a second and then giving in, and finally they parted away, nagito smiled at (y/n), he let go her cheeks and grab (y/n) hands, walk in to the house.

Exhaustion.
That was the only you could way you could describe how you felt. A deep lethargy had lay to rest in your body and etched itself into your bones.
School was always making you work hard but this part week had really overworked you. Finally the weekend was coming up and all you wanted to do was lie down and sleep forever until you were nothing but a memory.
But life has a funny way of changing things.
You see, you never were supposed to be outside at the park in the first place. But before you could get to your dorm you had been stopped by Mahiru to talk to you about being a model for some of her cottage-core photos, then when you finally got to your dorm you realised you had locked your keys inside your dorm. and when you went to find the ultimate lock-pick you were stopped by another one of your friends who was looking for their missing dog.
And that’s how you ended up at the park at 7:38pm
The sun was starting to hang low in the sky and you couldn’t see anyone else at the park except for your friend who was climbing the statue and yelling out their dogs name. And not to be rude but you wanted to hurry up and find this dog so you could go home. Hearing a bark in the distance past the trees you yelled to your friend who must’ve heard the same thing as they jumped down from the statue and ran toward the noise, Before they did turning at you to yell
“please stay here in case I’m wrong!”
So now there you were. Alone in the park and waiting for your friend to come back. Tired and beginning to hit the wall as they say you slowly walked over to the nearby hill, somehow managing to make it to the top without falling over. Flopping into the grass you lay down.
You didn’t even hear footsteps until someone lay right next to you.
“Hello There Mortal”
Ah, Your lips twisted into a small smile as there was only one person you knew who had that mixture of the way they talked and how deep their voice was.
Gundham Tanaka.
Right then you couldn’t even be bothered to lift your head so you kept your eyes closed and smiled in awareness.
“Hey Gundham”
“Our meeting must have been foreseen by the elder gods as I have been thinking about our last meeting”
The last time you’d seen Gundham was a few weeks ago when one of his Four Dark Devas had wandered off and ended up in your room. Your roommate (having a cat) was not fond of this as San-D nearly became San-Dead if it wasn’t for you recognising him and deciding to bring him back to his master. But the fact that as soon as the hamster saw you it decided to jump at you and hide in your clothes.
To be honest even though you were friends you hadn’t seen each other in a while. But neither one of you saw the need to explain or give your excuses. You both were ultimate's at Hopes Peek Academy of course you weren’t always gonna have time to hang out. But seeing this moment as a chance to catch up you slowly opened your eyes and had the pleasure of getting an eye full of a beautiful lemonade pink sky. And as a soft wind blew making the flowers and grass tickle your sides you couldn’t remember the last time you felt this okay.
“How’s life been treating you?” You craned your head lightly to see the boys face. His eyes fixated on the sky he answered you without much thought.
“As well as life at this academy can be”
Nodding you turned your head back to face the sky.
“Have you ever thought about the fact that when we’re looking at the sky we’re not just looking at the sky but out into space and far far into the universe?”
Shaking his head he seemed to change the way he looked at the sky as if he was considering what you just said.
“Well is there any proof that any of this matters and were not living on a giant dog write now? For all we know we could be made up things in San-D’s head”
He chuckled at that. And a tiny head poked out of his scarf as if it had heard its name. You wouldn’t be shocked if he did recognise his name given how amazing Gundhams Ham- uh Devas were.
Crawling across the grass and onto the chest the tiny creature looked down at you and feeling a laugh rise from your gut you dramatically gasped and threw your hand over your head.  “I have been defeated”
You couldn’t see from the angle but were pretty sure Gundham was rolling his eyes as the rest of the Devas seemed to want to join in on the conquering of planet (Y/N) as Cham-P waddled over to you and crawled on top of you as well while Maga-Z and Jum-P seemed to be happy on Gundhams head and chest.
“If we are all living in Sand-D’s head I can guarantee that I would be ruling over everyone as the supreme leader of the Tanaka Empire!”
You giggled slightly, Even when the two of you were alone if was rare of him to break character, which is why it was a shock when he said
“Maybe all of this is just in our heads”
But you learned not to make a big deal of it when Gundham dropped some of his walls. You wanted to make him comfortable so whether he was Tanaka the Forbidden One or just Gundham you still talked to him like you were (Y/N).
“I heard about a thing called Solipsism, It’s basically a theory where everything you see is created by your own mind like you said”
“Oh really?” He titled his head quizzically, which looked a bit weird since he was lying on the ground but he still managed to pull it off. Swatting at your leg feeling something itch before realising it was just one of the flowers you turned your head to look at him once more. A deep feeling of happiness set into your gut as you began to realise how much you’d missed Gundham, even just talking to him like this made you feel so....whole. Even though you hadn’t known each other as long as others at the school have. You’d only known each other for about a year now it definitely didn’t feel like it.
To say that you bonded easier with Gundham than the others would be an understatement. An odd testament when you realise exactly how different Gundham is to the rest of your classmates. But to you, that just made him more approachable.
Yawning slightly you leaned up, putting your arm on the ground next to him hovering over his head. Picking one of the flowers you smile lazily as you tucked it behind his ear.
“It’s very hard to explain so to cut it short its basically the belief that nothing outside your mind exists”
Laying back down you couldn’t but laugh, There was a deep pink tint to his cheek. Though you couldn’t tell whether it was from the sunset or a blush at first you managed when the sky changed from pink to orange, and then the hue lighting his face was almost golden. But the pink was still there, and it matched with the flower you’d put behind his ear very nicely.
“If everything around me is my imagination your the best thing I could come up with”
If you weren’t sure his cheeks were pink before you were now. And you began to worry you’d overstepped your bounds. Moving to quickly get up and apologise but his hand reached out across your stomach and slowly pulled you back down onto the grass with him. Turning your head back to face him you saw one of his rare smiles, though he had pulled his scarf up past his mouth you looked over at Jum-P on his chest and couldn’t help but giggle at the hamsters knowing look.
His hand reached out and picked a flower, but he must’ve lingered with it in his hand for to long as Maga-Z jumped off his head and and grabbed it out of his hand, crawling over to you and pushing it behind your ear.
His voice came out a little muffled due to the scarf over his mouth but you still heard him well enough.
“Tell me more about that theory”

Epilogue:
It was pretty dark by the time the two of you decided to go back to your dorms. And it was only halfway there you remembered.
“Fuck!”
Gundham looked over at you confused.
“What’s wrong?”
You sighed, “Shit I forgot my dorm room is locked, I was supposed to go find a locksmith but then my friend needed help finding her dog-”
He interrupted your rambling by grabbing your hand.
“You can spend the night at mine”
By now you were used to Gundham talking normally. But you shook your head.
“I couldn't-”
“You’ve got nowhere to go, As long as you don’t mind a few animals you can stay with me”
You looked up at him, he was already pulling you toward his dorm.
“I’m not leaving someone I care about in the cold when I can help”
As he opened the door to his dorm a smile stretched onto your face. You had to remember to thank your friend later, and give her dog a snack.

“I’m alive?” [For Sondham Sonia/GUNDHAM?] Your writing is 💕💕💕
I’m so glad you like my writing 💛💛💛
This is an Idea for a little scenario from Cruise Ship AU! I have plans for a full-fledged Sondham fic in Cruise Ship AU so this is a taste of what’s to come I guess lol
🌻🌻🌻
Gundham stared at his reflection in the cramped bathroom, leaning on the faux-marble vanity
He sighed. “I can’t believe I’m doing this.”
Could this cost him his job? Potentially. He’s thought about that. He can’t remember the last time he was disciplined, so maybe this would be worth the risk.
The ship was docked at its private island. He’s never actually stepped on shore. And when she found that out, she insisted he abandon his post for the day to spend time with her.
“I was going to do so many things alone! It would much more fun with a companion!” She pleaded
And he gave in. When he first met her just a few days ago, he felt like he lost his inhibitions. She’s captivating. He looks forward to stopping by her family’s suite each day for a chance to see her. She’s kind, and curious. She’s asked about him and his life.
So he’s taking a chance.
Not like he isn’t taking a chance whenever he goes out of his way to see her. But this is something entirely different.
He left the employees’ quarters to meet her on the dock.
He stepped onto the gangway and felt the sun beat down on his pale skin, and felt like he could sweat immediately seeing Sonia sitting on a nearby bench
She’s beautiful. Her long blonde hair was gathered into braids that cascaded against her frame, adorned with a sleek swimsuit, dark shorts, and a sheer black shawl. She was glistening in the sunshine.
And then she saw him. She grinned ear to ear and stood up, gathering a bag closer to her and waving with unbridled enthusiasm
He walked down to join her. “I am so glad you are here!” She was practically bouncing with excitement, “Part of me was not expecting this.”
Gundham shrugged, smiling, “I do not take promises lightly.”
“Then come with me! I have a reservation in fifteen minutes,” she took hold of his wrist and practically dragged him down the dock toward the island
Gundham followed Sonia’s lead as he took in the sights around him. The island itself was clearly designed to be accomodating to vacationers. Before the bombastically colorful front gate, one of the first things you saw were giant water slides towering into the sky.
The sky was perfectly blue and the waters looked crystalline. The sand on the shore was almost was white as the clouds. It was almost too perfect
Sonia continued to hold on to Gundham as she trudged through tourists. They passed by souvenir stalls, rows of chaise lounges, private waterfront cabanas, snack shacks, musicians playing calypso, and tropical flora and fauna— which Gundham always took note of. There were far more lizards here than he anticipated, which was exciting.
By the time Sonia finally said “we made it,” Gundham thought she had made a mistake.
When Sonia said ‘a reservation’, he thought it was for a meal. But there was a shack in front of them, storage lockers behind them, and... water vehicles of some kind parked in the water beside them
They weren’t boats; they were much too small. Gundham had never seen a vehicle like this before. It appeared to be a scooter or motorcycle on water
Sonia finished talking with the attendant in the shack and approached Gundham, jingling a small key on a ring. “Anything you do not want getting wet goes in a locker,” she chirped
Oh. So she did have a reservation to... ride. He didn’t take her as someone who’d want to do those sorts of things.
Gundham did his best not to stare as she removed her shawl, revealing more of her figure. He swallowed, but then quickly averted his eyes when he saw her start to take off the shorts she had on. He could feel himself growing more and more flustered as his imagination ran wild
He bit his lower lip as he looked at his feet idly kicking the sand
He had to snap himself back when he felt a finger tap his shoulder. Sonia was standing in front of him expectantly. “If you have a phone on you, I suggest leaving that in my bag in the locker,” She giggled
“Right,” he nodded and followed her advice, taking his phone out of the pocket of his swim shorts and placing it in her tote bag once he was at their locker.
She has not said anything, Gundham paused, standing still in front of the locker, contemplating an insecurity of his, I do not think she will make any remarks...
He took a deep breath and decided to remove the shirt he had on. Sonia had only previously seen him in uniform— a uniform where he was able to cover his scars. They adorned both of his arms, and he had some across his chest. When on the clock, he went out of his way to appear more friendly and approachable than he desired to be. Even with his brooding presence, Sonia had led him this far. The last thing he wants is for her to be scared of him.
Gundham did his best to control his breathing while he folded the shirt. We ARE on a beach, he told himself, This is perfectly acceptable.
He took one last deep breath before turning around to face her. A weight fell off his shoulders when she smiled and clasped her hands together with glee.
“Come on,” she instructed, “We have to listen to the safety information!”
They sat among strangers and listened to an instructor guide them through driving the vehicles, which Gundham learned were called ‘wave runners’.
His leg bounced with anxiety as he tried to focus his nervous energy on gripping his own knuckles
When the presentation was over, they put on life vests and went to the docks.
“Is it alright if I drive?” She asked with pleading eyes. But they were entirely unnecessary.
“Y-yes, that is fine,” Gundham did his best to hide his fear. This is not the type of activity he would do to seek a rush of adrenaline.
Sonia climbed on, taking hold of the steering handles with zeal. Gundham waited for her to settle in before cautiously sitting behind her, and searched for some sort of handle on the side of the vehicle to grab.
There was no such handle.
Well, he had to hold on somehow. He very carefully wrapped his arms around her waist, doing his best to maintain a respectful distance between them. She’s beautiful and she did invite him out, but he can’t make any assumptions.
On the insteuctor’s cue, the fleet of wave runners started off. Sonia turned over her shoulder and asked “Are you ready?”
Gundham nodded yes with a tight, forced smile.
He felt like he was flying. And not in a graceful, peaceful way. It was as if he were a crash-test-dummy in a race car, headed toward his inevitable demise. Sonia’s profile over her shoulder was the last thing he saw. Removing one of his senses just amplified the others. He couldn’t look at anything, but he could hear the motors speeding through the waves, he could smell the salt of the sea as it hit his face, he could taste his mouth getting drier, and he could feel how he had suddenly grasped on to Sonia with all of his might. There was no distance between them anymore. His brain was telling him that if he let go, he would fall off, and who knows what would happen after that?
He was squeezing his own arms for stabilization, and listening to Sonia laugh, trying to center himself. This went on for what felt like eons.
Until they suddenly stopped. “Gundham?” He heard her say his name and opened his eyes. He picked his head up to see her looking down at him with wisps of hair in her face and a concerned smile
“I’m alive?” Were the first words out of his mouth
She laughed, and covered her mouth with one of her hands. “Yes, we made it back! Our time is up.”
“Oh,” Gundham suddenly felt incredibly embarrassed, “That was not... so bad.”
“Gundham, you have not let go of me.”
She was smiling, but Gundham instinctively released his grip. Was his face heating up from the sun, or because of her?
“I think I owe you a stiff drink after that,” she continued, swinging a leg over the side of the waverunner, “Come on; my treat.”
She stepped off the vehicle and offered Gundham a hand. With his heart in his throat, he accepted it.

Switch! (Gundham x Fem! Reader) Part 3
~
All of you unanimously agreed that you shouldn’t tell anyone about what happened unless you absolutely had to.
You owned a small workshop that specialized in woodworking. The place, though fairly popular, didn’t need too many people to run it. You had two employees working with you that you would have to explain the situation to.
Gundham ran the famous Tanaka Breedery with occasional help from his mother who had retired last year. Obviously, he would have to tell her. They may have to tell a few of their close friends if need be, but they would cross that bridge when they came to it.
You and Gundham also agreed that you wanted to stay at your own apartments. It would take some arranging, but you were both more comfortable with that.
~
Normally, when you packed a bag, it was for yourself. You’d never packed a bag filled with your stuff for someone else. Sure, you’d donated stuff before, but you’d packed up half your room. It may be a bit excessive, but you wanted Gundham to have everything he needed to take care of your body.
Thinking about it still felt strange and brought back that spark of anxiety, so you busied yourself with packing instead.
You also knew he preferred darker clothing, so you tried to keep that in mind. Your closet was split down the middle with colored clothes on the left and darker clothes on the right. You put as much of it as you could into the suitcase and zipped it up.
~
When Gundham got to your apartment, you exchanged bags, and you wished him luck, to which he responded with, “Make no mistake, mortal! I am still the great Gundham Tanaka! This is but a small setback in my mission to rule this world!”
The eccentricity of it made a genuine laugh spill past your lips. “Yeah, okay. Go get some sleep.” You smiled, nudging him towards the door. “It’s getting late, and you still need to get up early tomorrow if you’re gonna go to work in my place.”
Gundham waved his hand dismissively. “Yes, I remember. This ‘woodworking’ that you speak of. How difficult can it be?”
You raised an eyebrow, slightly offended by the disregard for what you did, but in the end, you just shrugged. “Eh, no need in arguing. You’ll see tomorrow anyway.”
With that, you stepped back into your apartment and closed the door.
Now it was time to face the next challenge.
Showering.
That was where things got a bit tricky, but you had a plan. You threw the suitcase Gundham had given you onto your bed and started to sift through it.
Gundham didn’t own many colorful things. What was there, you assumed had been gifts from Sonia. You snickered when you came across a pair of joggers with little images of Totoro with various expressions and poses. It was adorable, but definitely not something you would’ve expected from Gundham.
He actually seemed to have put a fair amount of thought into what he packed. Just as you’d done for him, he tried to leave clothing that suited both his taste and yours.
There was a LOT of black, but there were also some whites, reds, different shades of purple. You noticed a bag filled with various accessories, and when you picked it up, a note fluttered onto your bed. You picked it up, squinting slightly before remembering that your horrible eyesight didn’t transfer with your soul. It was strange to be able to see so well without glasses or contacts.
Mortal,
I have left these pentacles and charms to sheild your soul from the darkness that lurks within my body. Affix them to your bodily form each day, and they shall offer you protection from the Other Realm.
You reread the words several times, but each time, they were the same. You emptied the bag onto your bed and gaped at all of it. He expected you to wear ALL of this?
You put everything on your dresser, deciding to deal with them later. You found a pair of pajamas and headed into the bathroom.
You had some semblance of a plan as you turned on the faucet in the shower to let it get warm.
Taking off your clothes was one thing. Doing it with your eyes closed was difficult, but that still wasn’t as hard as blindly navigating your bathroom.
Your bathroom was a good size, not too big and not too small, but the counters were cluttered and you knocked over several things in the process.
Once you finally reached the shower, everything else went fairly smooth. You even managed to dry off without slipping and cracking your skull open, so that was a win in your book.
Getting dressed again was a bit of a challenge with no sight, but once you were done, you opened your eyes, blinking several times to adjust to the burst of light.
Gundham’s hair actually looked fairly normal when it wasn’t defying gravity with all the hair gel. You brushed it out and combed your fingers through it to get it to lay flat. You couldn’t help but notice how soft his hair actually was. It was nice.
You finished up, brushed your teeth, and headed back to your room. It had been a long day, and you fell asleep as soon as your head hit the pillow.
~
Another obstacle faced you when you woke up.
Gundham’s hair.
No matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t get it to look the way it normally did. You sighed loudly and pulled out your phone.
“Hello.”
“How the fuck do I handle your hair?”
You heard an equally loud sigh from the other end of the line before he answered you. “I will transport myself to your abode. I require assistance with your tresses as well.”
“Alright, see ya then.”
“Indeed.”
~
When Gundham got to your apartment, you were almost surprised by how normal he looked. He was still sporting several long necklaces, each one with a different rune or symbol, but considering how he usually dressed, this was as normal as it would get.
What surprised you the most was what he had done to your hair. This time, it wasn’t a good kind of surprise.
“What have you done, mortal?!”
“Me? What the hell did you do to my hair?!”
Your hair was in complete disarray. It was tangled to hell and puffed out like a cat’s tail when it got scared.
“You know what, I don’t wanna know. Just come with me.”
It took you almost ten minutes and a lot of complaints from both of you to get your hair untangled. Once that was done though, you dragged out the straightener you had.
“What is this contraption?”
“A hair straightener? I’m surprised you haven’t used one.” You held it out for him to inspect. “As the name implies, you use it to straighten your hair.”
“How does it work?” He asked curiously.
“Here, I’ll show you.” When he turned his head to watch you, you nudged him to face forward. “You can watch in the mirror, but you have to hold still, okay? I don’t wanna burn you.”
You gathered a section of hair and slipped it into the straightener. “These two metal plates produce heat, and when you close the hair in them, it heats it up and helps flatten it.” You explained as you worked, and once you were done, you let it drop into place. “See?”
He ran his fingers through the section of hair. “Fascinating.” He murmured, and you cracked a smile. You’d never see someone so mystified by a hair straightener. It was cute.
You straightened the rest of your hair and pulled it up into a high ponytail. If he was going to work in your place, he didn’t need any hair getting in his eyes.
You were still a bit nervous about him taking your place, but if people suddenly saw you two switch jobs, they’d ask too many questions. It was already strange enough that you’d swapped personalities. If anyone found out you’d swapped bodies too, it could turn into a serious disaster.
You didn’t have time to worry about it before Gundham turned to you with a frown. He dragged you over to the stool beside your vanity. “Sit.”
He fixed his hair in a surprisingly timely manner. It was quite clear that he’d done this many times, and you briefly wondered how long he’d had this hairstyle.
Once he was done, you looked in the mirror and nodded approvingly. “Thanks, Gundham.”
“There is no need for gratitude. I simply did not want you to leave here looking so atrocious.”
You lips twitched, and you clenched your jaw to keep back a scowl. “If you want a challenge, I could do a lot worse.” The fact that you said it with a smile made it all the more unnerving.
He glared at you. “Fool! What nonsense do you speak to threaten I, the great Gundham Tanaka?”
This was gonna be a long day.

Gundham & Yasuke
Summary: The Forbidden Tanaka’s FTEs in the SDR2 Protagonist Matsuda Yasuke AU. YES.
Rating: PG
Warnings: Language and blood/injuries.
Notes: Unsurprisingly, Tanaka was the winner of the poll for which FTEs were to be done next. So his FTEs, quite hilariously, are getting posted on the anniverary date for sdr2′s initial release. That feels pretty...fitting. Writing Tanaka’s dialogue was really hard but I did my best. Despite my best efforts, these two don’t get along the best that they could. Cursed.
Read this fic among others HERE
Main story is HERE
Commission? Donate?
It went without saying that he didn’t have a normal middle school experience so he didn’t interact with a lot of people who exhibited the so-called eighth-grader syndrome. But he knew that once kids had the cognitive ability to identify their lot in life and long for more, such desires could get...twisted, to say the least.
Just about everyone wants to be fucking special if they’re not too focused on surviving. And most people grew ashamed of the lofty aspirations and special interests they developed in that delicate era. Matsuda understood that much, even if he was considerably detached from it. In some ways, those people were like animals. Strange beasts that acted on impulses and instincts. That still had intelligence but not, like, awareness. When it came to engaging with these types, Matsuda had no choice but to accept them even as he shook his head at their delusions of grandeur.
He understands he’s supposed to do that in theory.
In practice, however...
“Sharp-tongued fool!” Tanaka bellowed. “You draw too near to the barrier of the Ice Kingdom!”
It’s a beautiful day outside. It’s always a beautiful fucking day. Clear, sunny sky. Warm but with a pleasant breeze to keep it from being too sweltering. It’s such a nice day—and Matsuda Yasuke does not want to be here.
Without another word, he turns on his heel.
“Aha!” Tanaka sneered. “To think just the warning prose would be enough to make you turn tail and run. A cowardice I did not expect, but perhaps... I should have.”
While walking away and listening to that guy cackle to himself, all Matsuda had in response was to flip him off.
He proceeded to avoid Tanaka for the rest of the day—and would’ve avoided him for the rest of his life had fate not had something else in store.
--
It was another beautiful day. The perfect day for a walk. He was thinking by the ranch so that he could admire the chickens as he passed. Unfortunately, he not only came across chickens but also the cow that used to be a chicken he quite liked.
Also Tanaka Gundam.
And their eyes ended up meeting.
There’s no real point in reasoning with someone who exhibits grandiose delusions, he reminded himself. It’s no good to denounce them, but it’s also no good to enable them. It’s a delicate line that I do not want to fucking bother with.
Matsuda does look away, intent on ignoring the other. Despite that resolve, his thoughts don’t shut up.
I didn’t have any peers in middle school for obvious reasons. I never actually spoke to someone my own age who felt this way. I was too busy being fixated on my own goals and lofty aspirations.
A couple of steps forward. It’s fine. If he continued the way he was already going, he can just pass Tanaka. It’d be easy. Simple.
...
Fuck.
He pauses. He turns. Tanaka has already turned away, but as if guided by the third sense of a fucking Evil All-Seeing Eye, he turns back to Matsuda. His brow quirks.
“Has the barrier truly weakened so?”
“I don’t know,” Matsuda replied intelligently. “For some reason, I feel too worn down to go through the effort of pretending you don’t exist.”
Tanaka cackled lowly.
“Such an insolent remark. It seems you do not truly know your place. But that is just as well. Even now, your true name is one that seems out of my grasp.”
“I’m Matsuda Yasuke. Nice to meet you.”
Tanaka clicked his tongue, scowling at Matsuda’s blank expression and his deadpan tone.
“That,” he snarled. “Is merely a brush against the surface. It does not encompass the deepest depths of your rogue soul.”
Alright. So he wants to know what makes me tick. If I had to guess.
“Your true name,” Tanaka requested impatiently. “I have no need for superficial titles.”
“That’s cold,” Matsuda huffed. “The name my mom gave me isn’t superficial.”
...even if it is ironic.
For some reason, Tanaka does perk up. He gives a nod of approval.
“A fair retort,” he concedes. “That maternal bond is its own scarring shackle.”
That admission was the first true crack in the wall between them. Or so Matsuda supposed, and he felt himself slip just a little bit further.
What a headache...
“Anyway,” he went on with a wave of his hand. “It’d be incredibly foolish to give you my true name, right? If telling a demon my name gives them possession of my soul and telling them my birthday gives them control of my life... Then telling someone like you...”
Tanaka nodded again, grinning so widely it was damn near grotesque.
“I see...the sharp-tongued fool is still retaining a sharp mind...”
I shouldn’t have played along even in jest. Fuck.
“What special abilities do you possess?” Tanaka purrs, drawing closer now. “What hidden capabilities have you acquired?”
Tanaka stalks even closer, his eyes are flashing with curiosity and hunger. Probably because this fucking weirdo wouldn’t understand a normal interaction if it bit him in the face.
I still hate that stare. I fucking hate that stare.
“You already know that,” Matsuda snapped, forcing himself to stay relaxed. “Neurology is my talent. You even know my name and birthday because of those damn student files...”
Calm down, calm down. It’s just fucking Tanaka—
Tanaka does halt. His head tilts quizzically.
“Hmph.” With nostrils flaring, Tanaka seemed to duck into his own scarf. “I suppose you are human after all.”
“What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
“Simple.” Tanaka chuckled. “I sensed your apprehension, Matsuda Yasuke. I sensed—and yet, I could tell it was not a chill brought about by the Ice Kingdom.”
Matsuda does flinch at that.
“I shall take my leave for now so that you may re-gather your peace,” Tanaka declared. “Till next time, sharp-tongued fool.”
Tanaka gave him a salute. Matsuda barely had a chance to wave back before Tanaka flipped his scarf and coat so that it would dramatically billow behind him as he made his overly dramatic exit. So fucking extra, and yet—
He left so that I could take the time to calm down.
And how the hell was he supposed to feel about that?
--
“Even now, I can hear the crackling of the Ice Kingdom’s barrier.” Tanaka was cackling. Another beautiful day. Yet somehow this weirdo was set on shrouding himself in asinine mystery as well as his own dark layers. How the hell was he not burning up?
Tanaka noticed his staring and merely smirked. “What brings you today, Matsuda Yasuke?”
Aah. Even with that pompous fucking tone, it’s an understandable question.
“I don’t like things to be unbalanced,” he said which was a bald-faced lie but sounded persuasive enough. “Since you interrogated me last time, I thought I’d ask you a few questions of my own.”
“Hmph!” Tanaka snorted. “You seek a comprehension that may underlie a deep terror that cannot be contained! Do you not fear for your sanity?”
“No, I’m insane already,” Matsuda said flatly. “I drove myself insane years ago.”
“Is that SO?!” Tanaka boomed, incredulous or admiring, Matsuda wasn’t sure. “Your humanity is one that only hangs by a thread, then?!”
I...can’t disagree with that, huh.
Matsuda shrugged.
“We’re not supposed to be talking about me. Let’s talk about you.”
Tanaka remained guarded but gave a nod.
“Very well. Demi-human or no, I shall not lose to you.”
That’s more like it. You’re much less annoying this way.
“What talents do you have?” he settles on since it’s only fair. “Even if it’s not the full roster, I’d like to know some...special abilities.”
“You shall only get a portion,” Tanaka said, sniffing. “Despite my appearance, I’m an active fiend. Between sorcery and human hunting, I manage my website.”
Matsuda blinked, trying to imagine this guy at a computer. Actually, it was really easy to imagine. There’s no way Tanaka learned to talk like an edgelord on his own.
I bet he spends a lot of time looking up stupid shit like Norse mythology. But, if he has a website, then...
“I have encrypted my research with magic,” Tanaka informed him. “Thus, only those worthy can gain access.”
...if he means through password then I could probably hack in with ease.
“If I had to guess what kind of research it was,” Matsuda mused. “Then—probably something like a pet diary, right?”
There were a series of muffled squeaks from Tanaka’s scarf. Tanaka burst into a boisterous boom of laughter.
“Even with your wits, you would only be able to access the dummy site!” Tanaka grinned victoriously, even though no conflict had taken place. “Your skill level would only open the gates of the Exciting Breeding Journal.”
“...Alright. That’s fine by me.”
You’re literally here because of your talent in animal husbandry.
“Favorite food?” Matsuda asked next. Tanaka stiffened. Growled, even. Because he was pissed off about getting such a lukewarm response? Matsuda didn’t bother inquiring, instead pressing, “Do you have one?”
“The orange melon that bears the face of the devil,” Tanaka huffed, put out. “No other food compares in terms of high nutrients or versatility in cooking methods. More importantly, its seeds are the most effective food source for my Four Dark Devas of Destruction.”
...a pumpkin. He’s talking about a pumpkin, right?
“However! Those seeds must be carefully washed, carefully dried, carefully peeled,” Tanaka rambled on. “And lightly fried.”
“How meticulous,” Matsuda muttered. “But nothing less for...them.”
“Indeed. A difficulty that beguiles pain and pleasure alike matters not in the face of a grand purpose.”
I can agree with that even if I hate how it’s worded.
“There is more when it comes to the caring of beasts,” Tanaka rumbled. “Shall I lead you deeper?”
“Uh.” Matsuda waved his hand. “Next time. Let’s talk more next time.”
Tanaka gave him a truly wicked grin. For once, it actually felt malicious.
“Take as much time you need to prepare yourself, sharp-tongued fool.”
Matsuda made a face but bit his tongue.
Piece of shit.
--
Tanaka wasn’t out and about today at the ranch. He wasn’t in the diner, either. It went to reason that he was likely in his cottage.
It’s only because I found some pumpkin seeds that I’m even going...
When he knocked on the door, he found it unlocked. Since he wasn’t an animal, he was going to wait for Tanaka to answer the door rather than barge in but...
“Ku—!”
He heard a noise. A sharp, strangled sound that was undeniably made through gritted teeth. Matsuda opened the door immediately.
“Is everything alright?”
And indeed—Tanaka was holding his bloodied hand in a death grip. The hamsters were chirping and chittering, but unaffected. What happened was clear, especially in how Tanaka’s shoulders were hunched.
Thankfully, Matsuda carried around packets of wet wipes. He rummaged through his pocket for one, stepping forward and reaching out.
“Let me...”
“NO!” Tanaka shrieked, and like a startled beast he scrambled away from his hand. He was panting, still gripping his injury with a wide and wild-eyed stare. Seeing Matsuda there did little to calm him down, as he growled, “The blood that flows through my veins bears a fearsome curse. You must step away now to spare yourself their potency.”
Thankfully, Matsuda carried around disposable gloves. He slipped them on, tearing the wet wipe packet open, and made his way closer.
“Come on. We really don’t want that bite to get infected.”
“This is not my first blood sacrifice,” Tanaka snarled, even showing his teeth. Gross. “I have no need for your medical sorcery. And furthermore, that meager covering...!”
“Oh my fucking god, shut the hell up.” Matsuda snatched up his hand, prying the other off as Tanaka shrieked some more. Thankfully, Matsuda was able to pull it away and got to work dabbing and cleaning the wound. Tanaka had completely frozen now, but Matsuda was still fuming.
“Don’t ever fucking call me meager,” he snapped, and thankfully Tanaka had spare clean bandages for him to re-wrap his hand with. “Crude and foolish I’ll take. Meager I won’t.”
Tanaka finally scoffed as Matsuda made sure the bandaging was secure.
“A demi-human like you has such pride.”
Look who’s fucking talking.
“You should not have endangered yourself, however,” Tanaka went on. “I was not telling falsehoods about my poisonous blood. It is only by a thread that you have not already deteriorated. As crude and foolish as you are, I do not desire your demise.”
“I’ve dealt with my fair share of poison, so you’re worrying too much,” Matsuda replied but winced from a sudden headache. As he rubbed removed his gloves to rub his temples, Tanaka stood up.
“You once again face the ramifications for your hubris!” he exclaimed and rushed back to deal with his hamsters. “I grant you relief, and I advise you to take your leave immediately.”
“I’m fucking fine, it’s just a migraine,” Matsuda griped and disposed of the gloves and wipes. “Should you really be handling those hamsters again so soon?”
“They are not mere hamsters!” Tanaka bellowed. “The fangs I have taken are that of the Crimson Steel Elephant, Maga-Z!”
Maga-Z blinked its bright beady eyes at Matsuda.
“For the sake of the Invading Black Dragon, Cham-P,” Tanaka went to coo over the largest hamster which was orange, not black. “A golden demon, one who understands fear all too well... Much attention should be heeded to make sure they do not get overly stressed out... While many devil beasts of this ilk are aggressive and fearfully territorial, the golden variant is the most docile and intelligent. They recognize me as...”
He trails off. It’s as if he’s too moved to speak.
I have heard hamsters had an unnaturally high rate of cannibalism, Matsuda thought. But I suppose like with dog breeds, they come in all sizes...and temperaments...
It was obvious Tanaka knew his shit, being an Ultimate at all. But seeing it firsthand, watching him dote on the beasts with a cottage interior largely dedicated to their cage and tube, the guy definitely loved animals. Like, a lot. Despite his delusions of grandeur, he at least seemed to love animals a healthy, non-obsessive amount.
“They’re living well,” Matsuda commented blandly.
Tanaka scoffed at him.
“For demons that live a mere 1095 days, the luxuries in life mean everything. I would never settle for less.”
“I see...” He scuffed the end of his shoe against the wooden floor. “That’s good.”
Shouldn’t have worn open-toed shoes, but I don’t have any alternatives. Oh, right.
“I got pumpkin seeds.” He tossed the bag and it landed on Tanaka’s lap. The hamsters jumped, and even Tanaka flinched. Matsuda, however, turned on his heel. “Sorry. Bye.”
With that insincere apology, he headed out. He could feel a disproving stare on his back but that didn’t lessen his steps in the slightest.
--
His favorite chicken-turned-cow was in a good mood today. She was accepting pets and even nipping at his fingers. All he had on him was candy. Not any fruit much less hay although...
“If you plan to feed that creature, you should be wary of apples,” Tanaka rumbled from behind. Where the fuck he came from, Matsuda wasn’t sure, but he wasn’t surprised to be hearing from him. “You can risk over-eating which will cause a bloated stomach for the animal.”
“Ah, thanks for the advice,” Matsuda said sincerely, turning back and frowning when he noticed the other’s own hanging head. “What’s with the long face?”
“I would hope that you do not consider that creature to be your familiar, Matsuda Yasuke,” Tanaka murmured sullenly and solemnly. Like he had come across something truly pitiful to the point of depressing.
Although he seems more focused on the cow itself...
“I don’t have a familiar,” Matsuda huffed.
Tanaka quirks an eyebrow at him. Furrows it, even, as if Matsuda is the one not making sense. How seriously annoying. But rather than inquire further, Tanaka just shakes his head.
“Creatures like that one are born to be slaughtered,” he said, turning on his heel. “What a wretched fate, one that cannot be escaped even with the use of the Evil All-Seeing Eye. If one is to form a bond with such an unfortunate beast, they will invite only calamity.”
“That’s...” Not necessarily true. There is livestock out there allowed to live full lives. But they’re exceptions that prove the rule, I suppose. And the fact that I even thought to use a word like allowed... “Woof.”
Tanaka barked back. “This sentimentality only arose because I have not encountered any new beasts. I shall go searching as to put my mind at ease.”
He walked on, and Matsuda found himself following. Tanaka didn’t seem to mind at all. The opposite, in fact.
“There are many creatures I’ve tamed, sharp-tongued one,” Tanaka went on to say. “The Cerberus. The Phoenix. Even then Midgardian Serpent.”
Looks like I was right on the money about him looking up Norse shit. That’s just another fucking word for Earth, asshole. I’ve read enough shitty fantasy manga to know.
“I saw a toucan one time,” he commented in lieu of verbalizing his thoughts. “And I guess there are the seagulls. Or those mascots.”
“Those uncute fiends cannot be trusted with their speech,” Tanaka hissed. “As for the others... Ah, the ravenous, feathered beasts.” Tanaka nodded sagely with approval at that one. “They are a perilous project as they are quite fearless and impulsive. Even when greater threats arise, they gather like a court waiting to hand down judgment.”
I think...that’s more something that crows do rather than seagulls.
He does think about it though, birds judging one another. If he looked up, he’d even see a seagull or two soar overhead. A phrase rose to his mind, unbidden.
When the seagulls cry...
“Hm?” Tanaka paused when he noticed that Matsuda had stopped dead in his tracks. He turned, and whatever expression was on Matsuda’s face—whatever that was had Tanaka clicking his tongue. “What is on your mind?”
“Something stupid,” he grumbled, shaking his head. “Even in peaceful times, I can’t help but worry about how easily things fall apart. Sometimes for something as petty as a broken promise.”
Is it speech alone that gives us the means of betraying one another?
Tanaka did stiffen.
“It sure is fortunate for us that we’ve yet to deal with any storms,” Matsuda went on to say. “In fact, it’s perfect weather every single day. Isn’t that strange? It almost doesn’t feel real, and if it’s not real... Does anything that happens here matter?” He paused again. “Like I said. It’s stupid.”
“Your inane ponderings still have an air of malice,” Tanaka muttered darkly.
Huh.
“Are you saying I’m someone to be on guard around?” He cracked a dry smile. “I’m not that fucking interested in messing with people. I just lack patience.”
Tanaka gave him a look. Wordlessly, he shook his head.
“I think... I will seek solace elsewhere. Do not follow me.”
Matsuda didn’t. Simply watched the other go. It might’ve been one of those annoying situations where the person was saying the exact opposite of what they wanted, but even if he could tell that was the case, he still wouldn’t have followed.
After all.
He lacked patience.
--
Tanaka seemed especially moody today. Although no matter how sullen his air was, the island sun wouldn’t let up in the slightest. In a way, that was pretty cruel, right? In that much light, it made it difficult to hide. Or something like that.
Wonder what he’s being so fucking temperamental about...
Matsuda makes his way over, waving as he does. He stops, however, when Tanaka regards him coldly.
“Matsuda Yasuke,” he rumbled in a gravelly tone of voice. “The sharp-tongued fool whose practices engage in the constitution of the mind... Would you like to duel?”
Huh?
Matsuda dropped his hand.
“...have you finally fucking gone actually insane?” He sighed. “Don’t answer that. No, I don’t want to duel. And if you push it, I’ll leave. I don’t have time for that bullshit.”
Tanaka’s cold stare became more of a glare.
“I’m afraid I do not have such luxury around you,” Tanaka said sharply. “You grind down my defenses with this continued, unsightly association. Despite wearing the face of a human, you, Matsuda Yasuke are...!”
“I’m just human,” Matsuda replied before he could finish. With an unimpressed shrug, he added. “And if you wanted me to stop bothering you, all you had to fucking do was say so.”
“I allowed these exchanges out of a sense of curiosity, arrogantly unheeding the danger,” Tanaka went on, muttering as he did. “Truly, I have been foolish.”
The sun shone down on him. On a day this bright, there wasn’t anyone to hide. Tanaka ‘Gundam’ looked a bit ill. When Matsuda took a step closer, however, he recoiled. With a sharp hiss, Tanaka held up his hand in warning.
Like an agitated cat.
Matsuda drew back with a sigh.
Someone like this—really is so needlessly fucking difficult. And for what? An inflated sense of importance? Wasn’t getting into Hope’s Peak enough?
...if he complained too much, he’d veer uncomfortably close to hypocrisy.
Hope’s Peak was just another step for me, but I wonder what it was for someone like this? Where the hell would he be if he didn’t get in? Honestly—I doubt it would’ve been all that significant.
“Alright,” he said. “Did you get anything out of our interactions at least?”
Tanaka stared at him, but being a normal fucking person without magical powers, Matsuda was more than capable of staring back, unaffected. For some reason, Tanaka did shy back a little.
“I have keenly observed you,” he said lowly. “Namely how your regard only shifts when directed towards creatures already marked for death. I suspect—you are a creature of calamity. The eye of the storm.”
“So, what,” Matsuda drawled. “Like a demon?”
Tanaka hummed, seemingly considering it. “No... That is not quite right.”
“I’m not sure what you mean, then,” Matsuda huffed, waving his hand dismissively. “But—I think I get what you’re saying. I just think it’s funny coming from you—and that you don’t understand.”
Tanaka’s stare blazed with an offense, and Matsuda paid no heed at all.
“How I regard creatures marked for death...” Matsuda snorted. “I’m a fucking doctor. Obviously, I treat them differently. It’s part of my fucking job.”
Although he’s referring to the cow, isn’t he? Seriously...
“I guess it’s weird,” he admitted. “With how shitty of an attitude I have. But I take my job seriously. If you can’t get something that simple, then your Evil All-Seeing Eye is pretty fucking lacking.”
“You...” Tanaka growled. “You’re truly impertinent. You wield your blade recklessly and foolishly. You and I both know—that it runs deeper than mere duty for you, Matsuda Yasuke.”
...so what if it does?
He supposes he should be impressed that Tanaka isn’t that fucking dense. That the animal freak is, in fact, a little perceptive.
Smiling mirthlessly, Matsuda reached out to pat the flinching other’s shoulder. He gripped him for just a moment.
“That’s all you need to know about me,” he murmured into Tanaka’s ear before pulling back. “I think we’re at enough of an understanding. Thanks for your time.” He gave a salute as he headed on his way. “We don’t need to talk again. We especially don’t need to duel. Have a wonderful fucking day.”
“One day,” Tanaka swore. “You will meet your cruel, disastrous end. That is the decree of the Tanaka Kingdom!” As Matsuda got further away, Tanaka boomed after him. “Mark my words, sharp-tongued FOOL! You are MARKED for des—!”
It was such a headache that Matsuda tuned him out. But as he found himself alone, he did wonder.
Marked for destruction? Or something else? Despite all that time, rather than growing close, that weirdo is now convinced that I’m hopeless. He might be right. Actually, I’d still consider us closer if he can recognize that. I still don’t really care. I don’t.
He walked on, moving forward because he had nowhere else to go.
Decree. What a fucking riot. If I do die, it won’t be because of an idiot like him. But whatever makes him feel better I suppose.
Matsuda shook his head, brushing the whole thing aside except...
If I die... It won’t be until I reach the very fucking pits. I won’t settle for anything less.

The Ultimate Matchmaker x Hajime Hinata
WARNING: SFW at first, but will get NSFW because I, too, am thirsty for the orange juice man.
You were the Ultimate Matchmaker. You took much pride in your profession. It didn’t take much more than one conversation to understand just the right kind of match for someone. Several of your classmates at Hope’s Peak came to seek your advice. This boosted your confidence exponentially because some of your clients were...odd. Especially the one you were supposed to meet today.
This specific one left a note in your locker saying “MYSTIC WIZARD WIELDING POWERS OF EROS, MEET ME IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF OCCULT SCRIPTURES AT THE HOUR OF 4.”. It didn’t take you very long to figure out that this was Gundham Tanaka. You giggled at his exaggeration and shut your locker, suddenly meeting a familiar green-eyed gaze.
“Hajime...?”
Oh my lord, Hajime. As the Ultimate Matchmaker, you’d never really had many crushes. The ones you did barely lasted a day because once you stole a glance at them, your mind would automatically come up with a perfect match for them. And that match was always someone else. But for Hajime...he was interesting. Your mind couldn’t figure him out.
“Hey...(Y/N)...um, how have you been lately?”, he asked, clearly very nervous.
“Oh, I’ve been alright. Just life, you know? Gets tough every now and then,” you stated. Hajime always could tell when you weren’t telling the truth. You could’ve pretended you were enthusiastic, but you always felt extremely groggy after math class.
“Oh, I feel you, (Y/N). Today I got partnered with someone I really don’t like for a group project. I can’t even explain how tiring that is,” he sighed, clearly exhausted. “That’s enough about my boring day, though. My advice for you is to find ways to relax. Get a massage, go to the beach...do something for yourself, you know? You deserve it.”
“Do something for myself, huh?”, you wondered aloud. Oh you could do something alright. You could do that boy right in front of-
` “Yeah, of course. I’d be glad to help you come up with ideas. Everyone needs to unwind once in a while,” he said, softly smiling. The school bell interrupted your conversation, causing Hajime to jump. “Oh, um, I gotta go!
“See ya, Hajime!”, you exclaimed, waving energetically at him.
You were distracted the whole day. First off, you had to mentally prepare yourself to translate Gundham Tanaka, and secondly, Hajime. You could not stop thinking about him. Honestly, sometimes you creeped yourself out. But you just couldn’t help it. He was an enigma. A mystery. You had to know. Who was his match?
After your last class, you headed to the library and sat at a table, waiting for your client. “Nishishi...you tooootally fell right in to my trap!!!”, you heard a voice exclaim.
“K-Kokichi?!”, you screamed as you leapt out of your chair.
“Oh, you soooo thought it was Gundham! But that was a lie! Actually it wasn’t just a lie, no no no! It was a scheme, a plan, by a mastermind...to ask you out,” Kokichi whispered the last few words in your ear.
“Kokichi, um, I had no idea you felt that way, but...analyzing your personality, you’re a better match for-“
“Oh no no no, don’t misunderstand, Miss Matchmaker!”, Kokichi quickly interrupted. “I mean that a very very special someone asked me for advice on how to ask you out!”
“That’s a lie, Kokichi.”
“Neeheehee...that’s right! Actually, a certain Ultimate Supreme Leader was playing ‘Truth or Dare’ with some reserve course students, and...one of them likes you! And so I helped! By my own volition, of course!”, Kokichi was bouncing off the walls. “But that’s enough about that. Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to present the man, the mystery, the mastermind, the...LOVER BOY...Hajime Hiiiiinata!!!!” Kokichi ran outside the library and proceeded to shove Hajime into the building, cackling all the way.
“Hajime!”, you exclaimed, a faint blush glowing on your cheeks. “U-um,”
“I’m so, so sorry (Y/N)! I tried to tell him not to get involved,” Hajime quickly interrupted whatever you were fixing to say.
“Hey, it’s alright, Hajime. If what Kokichi said was true...for once...then um, I like you too,” you said, looking him in the eye.
Hajime’s eyes widened. “Wh-wh-?!” Before both of you could process your feeling for each other, all of a sudden your lips met.
“KOKICHI!”
“Nee hee hee hee! I’m only trying to help- after all, Hajime is quoted as saying that a massage is a good way to relax, right? I don’t know, just an idea.”, Kokichi cackled as he strided out of the library.
To your surprise, Hajime simply looked you in the eye and says: “That’s not a half-bad idea.”
You simply grinned and took his hand. “Everyone does need to unwind once in a while.”
(NSFW AHEAD)
Before you could even assess whatever had happened with Kokichi, you were lying face down on one of the tables in the library. Hajime was gently rubbing on your shoulders and back as you got used to the feeling, waiting to really get going until you were comfortable.
You finally sighed and found a comfortable position. Almost immediately, Hajime’s thumbs were rubbing circles in the small of your back. You didn’t even realize that the old books, the long day, whatever problems you had faced...had all just melted away as he rubbed you. But. There was still something...missing.
A part of you longed to be more vulnerable. To completely open yourself up to him. But how exactly to...do that? And how exactly to ask? You stole a glance
at Hajime, god was he hot- “(Y/N)? Is there something the matter?”, he asked. This man didn’t miss a beat.
“N-no. Not really, um, it’s just-“, you blushed, trying to hide your face.
“Oh! Um, it’ll probably feel better if you take off your shirt, (Y/N),” he stated bluntly. I think he took the hint- WAIT WHAT?! Your shock was evident. “If you feel uncomfortable at all, I-I can just take mine off too.”. Oh no. If he took off his shirt I don’t know what I’ll-
“Yeah, that’s fine with me!”
What.
Whatever primal instinct had defied your logic’s attempts at keeping things PG...was strong. Like it had been waiting for centuries and centuries for someone to break down your walls- someone like Hajime Hinata. Usually you beat yourself up for just letting words fall out like that, but the moment skin touched skin any anxiety that had existed just disappeared like it was never there at all.
That was when he kissed your neck, making you gasp in surprise. That was the nail in the coffin. That was when you knew you were giving it all to Hajime- tonight. You flipped over onto your back to experience your first kiss, a passionate expedition like no trip you’d ever been on. You blushed and prepared to flip back onto your stomach, but Hajime stopped you. “Wait, (Y/N). The next place I want to massage is on this side, so...um...”. You immediately knew what he was implying.
You undid your bra clasp, throwing the uncomfortable piece of clothing into close distance to your schoolbag. Hajime immediately went to work on your breasts, gently rolling your nipple with his tongue. You let out a low moan, all inhibitions lost. You almost didn’t notice that he was playing with the zipper on your skirt. You sighed and closed your eyes, giving him the go-ahead to take it all off.
He then began to tease your thigh, slowly working his way up between your legs, driving you absolutely wild. You pulled down your undergarments, letting him tease you, barely even touching you with his fingers and still making you wetter than Niagara Falls. A tongue slowly licked you, making you moan out hais
name. As he began to speed up, you certainly let go of any reservations about being quiet in the library.
And then you noticed. “Um, Hajime;” you said, looking at the obvious arousal in his pants. You quickly sat up, palming him as you took off the rest of his clothes.
“Oh, (Y/N)...” he moaned. That was irresistible. “Next time, I’ll let you have at it all you want, but...I have just got to have you. Right now.”
Well, if that wasn’t the hottest thing you’ve ever heard. Also...he mentioned a next time.
“Then take me,” you gasped. He quickly put a condom, and then slowly entered you, making sure you weren’t in any pain. Once he started moving, he went pretty fast, but not faster than you could handle. You matched his speed, relishing the moment until your vision started to blur and everything suddenly felt like it was taking place in the stars.
All that existed was him and you, breathing heavily as night began to fall. The last words said that night before you fell asleep in Hajime’s arms were “Hey Hajime. I have a little hunch that I’ve found the perfect match for you. On a completely unrelated note, I finally found someone who’s perfect for me.” You both giggled and fell asleep, letting calm overtake the both of you.

No relationship is perfect, even fictional ones (no matter how much we want that to be untrue). What are the worst fights each of your couples have gotten into? For Byakuya and Aoi, what was the worst parent-child fight?
Your question pains me, but I shall answer.
ALSO, TW:  Parental Abuse Mentions in Naegiri’s and Kuzupeko’s . Please don’t subject yourself to this if you think it will trigger bad memories or harmful feelings. It is absolutely the last thing I would want for you. Stay safe, and remember to reach out if you find yourself in a position with harmful thoughts or feelings. You don’t deserve to go through anything alone, and you shouldn’t.
NAEGIRI:
**Note: This one in particular is based a lot in headcanon. If you feel differently, that’s totally okay.
These two are a complicated situation. They are deeply in love, but one of their worst fights was actually a series of fights. They all just pertained to one big issue: their engagement to one another.
See, Makoto asked Kyoko to marry him and she very enthusiastically said yes, but they failed to consider another party who felt that they had to be consulted on it. And that third party is Kyoko’s grandfather, Fuhito. Now, there was no way that he was letting this slide — He had kept Kyoko from having any meaningful relationships outside of her work for the most part, and he’d met Makoto. He thought that Makoto was the one putting all of these ideas in Kyoko’s head that Fuhito himself didn’t agree with. He had actually told Kyoko a few times to break it off with Makoto for the sake of her legacy and career, but she had stubbornly refused. So when Kyoko announced her intent to marry him… well, Fuhito was furious. To the point where he actually disowned Kyoko in the middle of her engagement party.
Now, considering that in my personal headcanon, Kyoko has abandonment issues (stemming from the fact that Jin, her mother, her godfather/uncle, and most likely Yui all ‘abandoned’ her in one way or another), this affected her very deeply. Since Fuhito was the one who cared for ever since she was young, and the only stable figure in her life that stayed around for awhile… She actually wanted him to take her back, but wanted to do so without giving up Makoto. As this was occurring and Kyoko was venting out her frustrations, Makoto slowly grew to realize that Fuhito was... not a good parent. She told him tales of being forced to fight for his affection, of being shamed when she failed, of being disallowed privacy and relationships, of being shown conditional love, and of being used to get back at her father. Even Fuhito’s policies on Kyoko’s emotions struck him as totally off. He grew concerned that she’d been groomed into thinking that he was the person who had cared for her before anyone else, and so she revered him.
This is what made the two of them start fighting. Kyoko was trying to get Fuhito back, and he just wasn’t budging. Meanwhile, Makoto was trying to convince her that she shouldn’t be going back to him at all. The differing opinions led to quite a spat between them, as Makoto didn’t want to force her to do anything but didn’t want her to go back to someone who was clearly bad for her. Kyoko, on the other hand, understood Makoto’s side of things but still found herself rooted in her emotions. She spent a lot of time fighting with herself, knowing that Fuhito was bad for her, but still feeling like she should go back to her relationship with him. This ended up manifesting her relationship with Makoto, and it got so bad that she actually called off their engagement once or twice as she tried to figure things out. Thankfully, they did get back together, but they remember it as a pretty harsh time in their relationship.
KUZUPEKO:
If the fight started with someone, just putting it out there: it probably started with Fuyuhiko. He’s the more confrontational of the two, more prone to stirring up trouble if he’s not careful. And he wasn’t. Their biggest argument probably started a couple months into the two of them sort of having a flirtationship. If you can recall, the two of them originally agreed to not officially start dating until Peko could get herself into a position where she wasn’t so reliant on this idea that she was Fuyuhiko’s tool and nothing else. I think her struggle to abandon this idea was why the two of them started fighting in the first place. They were probably taking a walk together, having a pleasant conversation, when Peko brings it up without thinking. At this point it’s almost like reflex to her, saying she’s happy to walk with Fuyuhiko if it’s “what her master needs from her”. This probably isn’t the first time it’s happened in their little walks, and I think that’s what sets Fuyuhiko off.
Has Peko been getting better with this kind of thing? Of course. He’s impressed with the progress she’s made so far. But so often, she still keeps regressing to treating him like her master, and it’s begun to get under his skin in ways he can’t describe. In this particular moment he feels himself losing a bit of patience with her, and without thinking about the repercussions of having done so, he snaps at her. It takes Peko entirely by surprise, and for a moment, she’s not sure how she’s going to react... but then the hurt comes bubbling up before she can stop it.
All of these words come tumbling out of her mouth before she can stop them, reminding Fuyuhiko that it was for him that she became a tool, and that it was his parents that pushed her to be that way. She asks how he can dare shout at her for not doing a good enough to job to fix the problem that his parents caused. I’ll let anyone reading this decide whether or not she starts to tear up at the mere suggestion that this is somehow her fault.
And while Fuyuhiko cannot stand to see Peko so upset, there’s a part of him that’s hurt, too. How could Peko suggest that he would ever want that for her? The hurt from her words comes flaring up before he can stop it, and he asks her whether she’s felt this way their whole lives. Peko narrowly avoids the question, and to Fuyuhiko, that’s the only answer he needs. He leaves without another word — well, almost without another word. When Peko asks where he’s going, he promptly tells her to leave him alone from there on out.
And that’s where they leave it that night. From then on, it’s a series of horrible silences between the two of them whenever they’re together. Their friends repeatedly try to repair their relationship as Peko’s search for her own identity goes on, but they are unable to get the two to reconcile for at least a week. Peko wishes to reconcile with Fuyuhiko but feels like she doesn’t know how to, so she enlists a team of friends to help her out. Her little team consists of Mahiru, Ibuki, and Sonia — the girls who are usually most gung ho about helping her out with the whole identity thing. They devise a proper way for Peko to disclose her feelings and explain herself, without hurting Fuyuhiko’s feelings further. Meanwhile, Fuyuhiko is interested in fixing things too, but... he’s a little too stuck in his own feelings to figure out how he’s going to do it.
So to help him figure things out, Hajime puts on his therapist hat and sits Fuyuhiko down to talk about his feelings. They spend hours detailing his childhood with Peko and how their relationship came to be what it is. Hajime helps him work through his side of things, and then, when he’s calm enough, they work through Peko’s side — and Fuyuhiko is reminded why she might feel the way that she does. Extra care is taken to explain to him why she might feel like that, and slowly but surely, Fuyuhiko relaxes and realizes that he made a mistake. After calming down and coming up with apologies, the two are able to talk it out and end up feeling a lot better... but it’s still the most that they’ve ever hurt each other.
SONDAM:
Honestly, I don’t think Sonia and Gundham are big fighters. Like I know every couple fights and it’s totally natural, but I don’t think that they probably fight all that much. When they do fight, though, I imagine that it gets heavy. They can both be skilled at shouting and make everything awkward for everyone else by doing that.
The subject of their biggest argument, though, would probably be the whole “can we get together” argument that’s born mostly of caution and sadness, rather than actual anger. Per someone’s writing request, I did write about this (https://danganronpa-21.tumblr.com/post/613213832365670400/if-i-may-intrude-upon-this-event-could-i-have-a), but a short explanation would be that the two of them get into an argument over whether they can actually be together. They are mutually in love with each other, but due to Gundham’s perception of his demon blood, he refuses to put Sonia in that kind of danger.
And in spite of me having written it, I imagine the argument spans beyond the written one. Sonia likely was not ready to let things end the way they did, and attempted to persist with the relationship talks. Gundham, on the other hand, was persistent in his attempt at resisting. Several times they tried to sit down and have a discussion about each other’s side of things, but it always ended up being very emotional with both of them insisting upon their respective sides. Sonia would end up teary-eyed, promising Gundham that she didn’t care about what dangers it could present, and that she wanted him to at least try to be with her. On Gundham’s side, he’s adamant that she silence her feelings for him because no matter what, he’s convinced that he will hurt her. He’s convinced a close relationship with her will only put her through intense pain. He cares too much for her to risk it.
And that’s where their friends come in. After watching them have their heartbreaking back and forth, they try to devise a plan to convince Gundham that the relationship is safe to pursue. After all, they both want to be together. It’s just that Gundham’s demon blood makes him worry that he simply can’t be with Sonia. So what do they do? Put Mikan on the case. She’s a nurse, and thus has a convincing understanding of anatomy. If they can show her how to act convincingly enough, they know they’d be able to persuade Gundham to give a relationship with Sonia a chance.
So that’s exactly what they do. Since Mikan had already done blood tests on all of them in the past to get their results (in case of a need for it) and to ensure that they were all healthy after being Remnants, all she had to do was open up Gundham’s files and try to convince him with some technical jargon. Which is what she ended up doing, claiming that she had done some advanced tests on his blood which did equate them to being half demon and half angel, but that they had come back with a muddled result -- one that indicated that Gundham might have some semblance of control over who would be able to touch him. She claimed that should he wish it, it would be possible for him to safely come in contact with Sonia and any of his other friends, so long as he trusted them enough.
And that big fight? It was over from there. As soon as Mikan had them both convinced, that was where it ended.
YASUKANON:
I think the really big thing that Yasuhiro and Kanon ever get into a fight about is when Kanon gets pregnant with their first child, Leon. While her announcing her pregnancy and their engagement were a happy moment that coincided with all kinds of glee, actually preparing for marriage and family life is something entirely different for them. Though they do have Hiroko around to guide them and help them avoid the same mistakes she and her ex made... It’s still really, really hard for them.
I think what they get into a fight about is each other’s behaviours. While the pair love each other very much, I imagine going into marriage and motherhood, Kanon starts to get concerned with Yasuhiro’s more... childish approaches to life. She worries about whether or not they rushed into this, and whether or not they’re ready to have a child together. The more she looks at their life together, she starts to notice that maybe they’re not, and greatly questions what they are getting themselves into. Yasuhiro, on the other hand, doesn’t see any of what they currently have going as a problem. He’s under the impression that everything is in place, and that they’ve set themselves up to have a perfect life. I imagine this is probably a product of their conflicting upbringings. Kanon’s family was wealthy and her parents were able to cater to her in many different ways, so her home with Yasuhiro and her being in college at the time didn’t seem like much. Not including Hiroko’s income, they only have what Yasuhiro gets from his job at Hope’s Peak — at this point, Kanon would be doing post-Tragedy college, so most of her energy would be focused on school. The two of them really hadn’t even been together that long when Yasuhiro proposed, either, versus what Kanon knew love to be growing up. It’s a constrast to what she knows, but similar to what Yasuhiro grew up with — maybe even better! So he doesn’t see why it’s a big deal.
Unfortunately, this comes across to Kanon as “not taking their situation seriously”. And while she’s not so insecure in her relationship with Yasuhiro as to accuse him of actually not caring, she is deeply worried that he doesn’t realize the gravity of their situation. That general anxiety manifests into a sort of accusatory behaviour, which starts the fight with Yasuhiro. When she starts throwing out the idea that he doesn’t care about their situation in the way that he should, his feelings are pretty hurt. He loves Kanon, and he already loves their baby, so he doesn’t understand why she would ever think that he doesn’t care. So the two of them end up in an argument about Yasuhiro not caring and Kanon not understanding that this is just how he cares.
It eventually ends when the two decide to break off the argument and take some time alone. Hiroko ends up sitting down to talk with Kanon and explain things. Sort of telling her tales of what life was like when her son was growing up, and why he might not think their current status is such a big deal. Furthermore, she pledges her support to the couple and ensures her that she, too, wants to help take care of her grandchild.
“I’ll teach you two to be independent, but I don’t mind helping you out a little bit so you can stay on your feet while you’re learning.”
After that conversation, Kanon would eventually go apologize to Yasuhiro for the way she acted. She’d assure him that she didn’t mean to hurt his feelings, and that she was really just scared because she’d never been in this position before. Yasuhiro would accept the apology, and apologize too for making her think that he’s unreliable. They promise to be as reliable as possible to each other from there on out, and foster a good home life for their future child.
AOI AND SAKURA:
Coming up with something for Aoi and Sakura to fight about is... hard. They’re both kind and cheerful people, and they really do get along well. I think the subject of their worst argument was absolutely someone that Aoi was dating.
Now, Sakura’s not usually rude about the people Aoi dates. She just wants her mother to be happy, and as long as the person treats her well, she doesn’t mind.
However, this would be one of the situations in which Sakura finds that this person isn’t treating her mother properly. And unfortunately, it’s in a way that isn’t noticeable to Aoi. This partner is a guy I’m just going to call Kenzou, for the sake of giving a name. In Aoi’s presence, I’d think he comes across as a charming guy. He claims to think that Aoi’s a real catch, but doesn’t treat her as such. He’s such a smooth talker that a lot of the shadier stuff he does tends to go right over other people’s heads, but it never goes over Sakura’s.
Kenzou absolutely plays mind games with Aoi. Pushing her to spend less time with her friends and her daughter and more time with him, breaking up with her over little things and then rushing to get back together with her the next day, and probably even bringing other women around to make her jealous. She ends up so convinced by the good times the two of them end up having together that she doesn’t consider the bad to be that big of a deal. Thus, she ends up getting kind of defensive when Sakura suggests that Kenzou might not be the right guy.
Aoi wonders why her daughter would tell her something like this, assuming that maybe she’s just not comfortable with the idea of her mother dating someone so seriously. Rather than being upset with her initially, she sits her daughter down and has a discussion with her about Kenzou. She tries to calmly talk to her about how she feels, but Sakura only ends up more upset. She ends up insisting that her mother doesn’t get it, for she’s actually upset about the way Kenzou treats her. Sakura gives her best attempt at explaining why she thinks Kenzou is a bad fit, but Aoi ends up hurt and they argue briefly.
The only reason why it’s a brief argument is because Sakura chooses to just shut it down, resulting in a tense evening between the two of them with limited words and interactions. Before bed that night, Aoi attempts to reconcile with her daughter, but Sakura is unwilling to hear it. It’s unusual for her to be so stubborn on something, so honestly, it does make her mother worry. Aoi sleeps really poorly that night; she can’t stop thinking about what Sakura told her. Come the morning, she calls up Kenzou to meet him for coffee, and dumps him.
When she returns home to tell Sakura what happened, Sakura is initially rather apologetic about “making her break up with her significant other”. Aoi immediately dismisses the thought, giving her daughter a big hug and thanking her for looking out for her. She then apologizes for not listening initially, promising to take her concerns about her partners seriously from there on out.
BYAKUYA AND JUNICHI:
Their biggest fight is definitely an identity fight. About who Byakuya thinks Junichi should be, versus who Junichi wants to be. The fight doesn’t end up going exceptionally far because Junichi still finds himself bound by Byakuya’s expectations, but also because he’s only nine. He’s unfortunately pushed through the expectations and demands of his father as he isn’t old enough to “know better”.
It starts with Junichi doing poorly on a task Byakuya assigned him as apart of his son’s “personal studies”. And when I say doing poorly, I mean totally screwing up. Like little Junichi just bombs it. Can anybody really blame him? He’s nine years old. He’s not prepared for this kind of thing yet. Of course, Byakuya doesn’t see it that way. He has high expectations for his only son.
This leads them to start arguing about whether or not Junichi is trying hard enough with his studies and if he’s fit to be the Togami heir since he apparently “doesn’t care about his studies”. Naturally, Junichi is angered by his father’s suggestion that he doesn’t care. After all, his whole life he’s tried to do everything he can to please his father, including throwing away or hiding certain parts of himself that he might want to embrace. He’s done all of that in favour of being the perfect heir that his father wants; only for Byakuya to suggest that he doesn’t really care and doesn’t want it that bad. The mere idea is so infuriating for Junichi that he just up and refuses to speak to Byakuya for three days.
It’s a frustrating three days for the two of them for sure. Byakuya continues to try and lecture his son about taking his responsibility seriously, about not acting so childish, and about not respecting his elders... yet to no one’s surprise, the speeches don’t sink in. Junichi keeps right on ignoring his father for what he accused him of, and furthermore actively refusing to do any of the things his father expects of him. All expectations are thrown out the window, and god it kills Byakuya. Here he is, with his one and only shot at having an heir, and he’s beginning to realize that he’s completely ruining it -- not only just from a Conglomerate standpoint, but from a fatherly standpoint. At the rate he’s going, he’s certain that the boy is going to grow up to hate him. He knows he’s going to have to do something.
And honestly? Given that this is a reoccurring issue with the two of them, I’ll admit that I don’t think that they ever solved it entirely. But I absolutely believe Byakuya was able to stop Junichi and apologize for accusing him of not caring, and explaining that he was putting pressure on him because that’s how he was raised. Given that he had to try and beat his other siblings, Byakuya had the responsibility to try and be the best all the time. In his head, he thought that he should raise Junichi the same way, but the problem became that Junichi had no competition. Shaming him into wanting the title wasn’t going to make him want it anymore. So he insisted that they try to work together more from there on out, to fix things as best they could... It’s tough to say whether it worked, but it at least got Junichi to start talking to him again.

SDR2 Girls Finding Their S/O Dead
“If it isn't too much may I request the SDR2 and v3 girls finding their S/O dead?”
Yay, finally writing for some DR2 girls!! I’m so glad this was requested, I can’t wait to start! Story under the tag! Warning: All of these deaths are probably medically wrong, but I tried my hardest
Chiaki Nanami
You and Chiaki didn’t talk until the night of the party
You had asked her what game she was playing on her handheld, and both of you were delighted to know that you had a common interest in it
But when the lights went out and Togami’s body was discovered, you were both quick to help find clues and get alibi’s from everyone
From then on out, you guys were always together, whether it be playing games together or just lounging in silence while each of you does your own thing
So when you didn’t show up to breakfast with Chiaki, everyone was suspicious, and those suspicions were doubled when Chiaki revealed that you hadn’t come to her beach house last night like you usually did
Everyone quickly split up to find you, Chiaki checking around with Hajime
No one saw a clue of you until Chiaki and Hajime made it to the airport, where they saw a horrific sight
Your body, propped up against a planter, blood staining the collar of your shirt
Your girlfriend immediately ran over, hands hovering over the multiple small puncture wounds in your neck
While Hajime ran to gather others, she looked at your body, careful not to disturb a single thing. Who would do this to you? Everyone seemed to be perfectly fine with you!
Everyone rushed in, multiple shouting your name and Chiaki’s
Everyone started searching for clues while Mikan checked the body
The room was practically spotless besides the blood pooling over your shirt
Mikan had confirmed that your cause of death was choking on blood due to multiple stab wounds to the neck with an incredibly small weapon
Hajime took alibis while Chiaki left to check your beach house
It was locked like it was earlier when they went to find you, so she quickly called for Monokuma to let her in
The place was spotless, like it usually was since you slept over at her place
She looked over it one more time when she found a note on the bookshelf, surprised she missed it earlier
Chiaki picked it up and read it, the piece of paper simply saying that they needed your help, and to meet them at the airport after dinner
Who needed your help? Why didn’t you tell her before you went, just in case something happened?
Knowing you, you trusted your friends enough to think this outcome would’ve never happened.
Chiaki heard the trial announcement ring out, and quickly put the note in her jacket pocket, walking to the beach
When the trial started, they brought up the obvious things, the note, and the unusual wounds you suffered
They went through each alibi, slowly realizing they didn’t have much to go on since everyone went on their own ways after dark.
That is, until Fuyuhiko came up and confessed he saw a figure head up that way before going to the beach, and seeing you walk over a few minutes later
He gave the fuzzy details he had, and Chiaki and Hajime were able to pinpoint who’s alibi and looks matched up.
“Mikan...did you do this?”
Mikan started blubbering, saying she was too weak to do it, too fragile to commit a murder
But when the evidence started being laid on heavier, she snapped.
Mikan began cussing everyone out for bullying her, even those who hadn’t, demanding that she was the true victim
She confessed how she lured you there and had actually asked you to help her commit a crime on others, thinking you wouldn’t say no
When you refused, she had threatened you, and when you still refused, and even attempted to walk away, she snapped, pulling out a syringe and stabbing you multiple times in the neck until you fell, bleeding out.
Everyone watched as Mikan broke down crying, saying that she only killed you because everyone else was so mean to her.
Sadly, that doesn’t save a revealed blackened, and everyone watched as she was dragged away screaming, to her doom
Chiaki watched through winced eyes as Mikan was executed, quickly leaving after it was done and heading to her own dorm
She locked the door behind her and laid down on her bed.
Oh, how empty it felt without you by her side.
Akane Owari
Akane grew to love you practically the second she met you
She laid eyes on you and boom! Need for your attention acquired
You took longer to grow into the relationship, but when you did, the bond you guys had were strong
The only time you guys spent apart was when she was training with Nekomaru, as you took that chance to mingle with others around the island
So it wasn’t suspicious when she didn’t see you immediately after they finished their sparring
What was suspicious, however, was how the two of them didn’t see anyone
They walked around the main island, finding everyone at the diner
“Hey, is everyone having a party without us?”
Mahiru looked at both of them, eyes lingering on Akane
“You didn’t here the announcement? That’s why you guys were so late...”
“So late to what? Where’s Y/n?”
Akane saw Mahiru’s eyes shift to the kitchen and briskly pushed passed everyone in her way
She threw the door open and looked down, seeing you, knife in your chest and eyes covered by pink flowers
She started crying, yelling and pulling you onto her lap
She watched as the flowers fell from your eyes into your lap, already wilting from being cut
Everyone watched as Akane yelled, tears on her face showing a grievance no one should have to go through
Nekomaru crouched next to her, letting her cry on him, and eventually beat on his chest as her anger returned, now demanding for whoever had done this to her S/O to come clean so she can hurt them
When no one fessed up, she stormed out, walking aimlessly until she calmed down and returned, asking anyone for clues to the culprit
All they had had were some scuffs on the floor, a bruise on your ankle, and the flowers
Pink chrysanthemums, Fuyuhiko called them. Traditional flowers for funerals
The trial came, and no one looked hopeful
Any words that could be twisted against you got the speaker a glare from Akane
She listened as Hajime put together the evidence, slowly weeding out people from the suspects list
So when it came down to Peko, she connected it instantly
“The bruise on her ankle was mostly certainly from Peko’s bamboo sword, used to knock her down so you could land the final blow!” Hajime pointed at the prime suspect
It took every nerve in Akane’s body to not pummel Peko right then and there
Peko refuted intensely, trying to pull up evidence to point it at someone else
But that’s when she slipped, giving them a huge break in the case
Akane’s shoulder’s tensed, turning all of her attention to the accused
“Wait...you said that you were at the beach when this happened, but Komaeda saw you going in the direction of the diner, so your alibi is false!”
This earned a scream from Fuyuhiko, letting out a stream of curse words in a pitiful attempt to save his friend
But in the end, it was useless, Peko finally giving up and apologizing
Akane tried to jump over her stand and lunge at Peko, but the blackened was pulled away, causing Akane to hit empty floor.
They all watched as Peko was executed, Fuyuhiko crying the entire time
After it ended, they all went their separate ways, Akane  ignoring Nekomaru’s condolences as she turned her back, running to her dorm
As soon as her door shut she began sobbing, punching the wall
She didn’t care if anyone heard her
You were gone
Nothing could bring you back
Sonia Nevermind
When you two met, there was an instant connection
You guys realized you liked each other extremely quickly
Just like the rest of Sonia’s life, it was a fairy tale
If a fairy tale included Souda’s constant whining and nosebleeds when you two did anything intimate
But that fairy tale ended when your body was discovered, brutally beaten with a hammer in your own dorm
While everyone investigated, Sonia had shut down
Everything in her life had always been perfect, worry free
So why this? Now?
The feeling of despair only further sunk in when it came out that they had very little clues as to who had done this to you
The bat, a towel and a door with signs of forced entry were all they had to find their murderous friend
So once the trial started, it took what seemed like hours to Sonia for them to finally discover a lead
Everyone had initially suspected Souda, on the motive of his undying love for the ultimate princess
But then it turned to another boy, someone no one expected
“This towel had been used to soak up some of the blood, perhaps to stop it from dripping out of the door. But we found something quite unusual. Gundham, care to explain why there is hamster fur, stained red with blood, stuck to this towel?”
Gundham choked up at Hajime’s words, his heterochromatic eyes staring at him in disbelief
But he couldn’t find the words to stand up for himself, quickly making it clear what his role in this trial really was
And that was when he confessed
He too, had fallen for the princess, killing Y/n out of raw jealousy
The voting ended as quickly as it had come, and they all watched as Gundham perished, leaving behind his beloved Devas.
Sonia took them, cradling them in her arms as she walked back to her room, silently sobbing
Everything changed after you were gone
People noticed that the once outgoing teen was now meek and docile, having lost all her energy after her second half was taken away
Even Souda backed off, barely talking to her
Life had color when you were here
Now, her sight showed nothing but the grey, monotone life she now had to endure.
Hiyoko Saionji
No one believed Hiyoko could ever make a close friend with her foul mouth and matching attitude
But when they met you, and saw how you saw the good in everyone, they knew you could do it
seriously how did you see the good in komaeda tho
The first time you two actually walked was when you criticized her for mocking Mikan, quickly calming down the argument with your calm voice and sensitive words
You were the first one ever who had been able to defuse her, which made her stick to you like glue
Everyone seemed relieved, you had decreased the fights on the island drastically
And at the same time, you two grew every closer, inseparable after only a week
It was dark outside when it happened
You two were walking along the beach, filling the air with laughter and witty banter when you two saw a shadow approach from behind
You turned around first, her turning in time to see them hit you with something, causing you to fall back
Hiyoko let out a scream as the assailant grabbed the back of her kimono, and the world went black, the last thing being heard was the ocean crashing to shore, and the crunch of sand
When she woke up, she was being forcibly shaken by Ibuki, almost everyone surrounding her
As soon as she sat up Ibuki engulfed her in a hug
“Oh thank god Hiyoko is safe! Everyone thought you were dead too!”
Hiyoko shoved her off, standing up and wiping the sand from her clothes
“Get off me you nasty, good for nothi- wait, did you say ‘dead too?’
Everyone suddenly turned away except for Chiaki, who walked up next to her
“Y/n was attacked, I’m sorry.”
That was all she needed to hear before she ran off the beach, leaving Ibuki calling for her
She ran around the island, stopping when she saw a group in the park
She screamed your name, shoving through them before anyone could stop her
Laying in the grass curled up, was you.
She felt the contents of her stomach rise up, unable to take in the blood around your neck and fingers
She felt a hand on her shoulder, twisting around to see Mahiru, tears staining her cheeks
She let out a sob, burying her face into Mahiru’s stomach, not caring who heard her wails of anguish
She just lost the most important person in her life, why would she care about anything else?
She refused to look at the body, having Mahiru escort her to her room, where they stayed until it was trial time
As they stood in the circle, Hiyoko rubbed her burning eyes, tears long dried up and unable to produce more
As much as everyone hated it, they had to ask her what happened, all feeling guilt as she hiccuped and stuttered through the traumatic even all over again
She silently thanked them for leaving her alone for the rest of the trial, letting her merely listen to their statements
Then it came out that only one person has a weak alibi- Souda
The second they questioned him he cracked, stammering out an apology, explaining what happened
“I...I was going after Hiyoko! I thought I knocked out Y/n, but they attacked me when I tried to drag Hiyoko off...and I hit her again, but I think I hit her too hard...”
Hiyoko’s head snapped up at his words, the feeling of emptiness now being replaced by hot anger
“I panicked, and dragged her to the park in hopes that it would save me some time. I thought about going back and killing Hiyoko too, but what’s the point? She didn’t see me!”
Hiyoko wanted to march right up to him and punch him, but settled for screaming profanities and harsh insults towards him, resulting in him pulling his beanie even lower, trying to cover his eyes
She continued screaming until he was dragged away, where she collapsed onto the floor in a heap, exhausted
Nekomaru picked her up and turned her away from the execution, not wanting her to have to see the gruesome death of their friend
He carried her into the elevator and all the way back to her room, where Mahiru stayed with her for the rest of the night
She accepted Mahiru’s warmth as she started to fall asleep, but it could never replace the warmth of her own heart when she was with you.
Mahiru Koizumi
You and Mahiru didn’t get off to a great start
You two first interacted when you pulled her back from going off on Hajime when he first tried to introduce himself
She glared at you, spewing some ill-mannered words before storming off
You had thought that that was the end of it, until she pulled you aside at dinner and meekly apologized
After that, you two kept running into each other, before finally your relationship had blossomed into something more
It was after the second motive when it happened
You had played the game, quickly realizing what it meant
You two had a confrontation, ending in both of you yelling and storming off in different directions
That was the last time she ever heard from you
The next day she was dragged by Hajime to the beach house, where you were laying on your side, dead
Mikan had deduced that you had been strangled to death, the murder weapon being a wet suit, still laying by your deceased body
She lashed out at everyone who approached her, focused only on your body and glaring at others
She would occasionally let a few tears slip, wiping them away before anyone could see them
But a few did see them, horrifically aware of how their strong friend was breaking down
When the trial started, everyone expected Mahiru to be angry as ever, demanding justice for her s/o
But she stayed quiet, only looking through her camera
Somehow, this was more scary, surely leaving the blackened feeling terrible for their actions
Chiaki was the first to speak, stating the obvious about the case; the murdered, the location, and the weapon
This got the trial rolling, people throwing in and refuting evidence when deemed necessary
The whole time Mahiru stared into the screen on her camera, slowly flipping through photos of the two of you, analyzing the smiles on your faces, the way you two would pose and laugh together
She only snapped out of her daze when a shout erupted
“Like hell I’m the killer!”
Hajime pointed at Fuyuhiko, the Yakuza leader’s face now red and his body shaking
She watched intensely as Hajime laid the evidence out, turning everyone to his side of the debate.
Peko continued to stick by her friend’s side until he gave up, guilty eyes confessing to the heinous act
Fuyuhiko explained how he knew Mahiru played a part in killing his sister, and wanted revenge by turning her s/o against her
“I told her of the things Mahiru did, but she just...kept defending her. I got angry, and before I knew it I was hurting her, and I didn’t stop until she was dead.”
He turned to Mahiru, tears in his eyes
“I am so sorry, Mahiru. If I could take it all back I would.”
All Mahiru could do was turn away, looking anywhere but at him
And thus, the execution started, Peko and Fuyuhiko sharing pained goodbyes before the blackened was dragged away to his fate
Mahiru watched the execution, no expression in her eyes as she watched the one who murdered her s/o die
After the execution they all went back to the surface, her going to the dining hall
She sat alone in the room, the only light coming from the camera she had in front of her
A picture of you sat on it, one you guys had taken on your first trip to the beach together. You laying in the sand laughing next to the sandcastle you two made together
Everything was perfect then
And now, all she had were painful memories
Mikan Tsumiki
She was one of the first to find you
When everyone started getting sick, you had been one of the ones infected, having caught the phobia disease
You were scared of everything, even your own girlfriend when she tried to help you
So you sat in your own hospital room along with the other patients, Mikan refusing to leave the building while she took care of her patients
But she had fallen asleep overnight, only waking up when the front door slammed open, Hajime, Gundham, and Hiyoko racing in
“No time to explain, we have to check on everyone!”
All four of them raced through each room, checking each ill student to make sure that they were safe
Until they got to your room, the door thrown open
And they all saw you, arms tied to the head of the bed, blood covering your stomach and staining the sheets under you
Mikan screamed, pushing past the other three and throwing herself at your side, checking your pulse and shaking your shoulders
Gundham announced that he was going to go get everyone and left, Hajime comforting Hiyoko in the hallway
The only thing she could hear was the body discovery announcement ring through the building, tears blurring her vision as she held onto your body
Slowly, everyone trickled in, shocked to see the scene playing out before them
They all jumped into investigation, Mikan quickly identifying the cause of death as multiple stab wounds to your stomach, almost passing out at all of the blood on your body
She sat in the hallway until the trial started, where Akane walked with her to make sure she was alright
During the trial everyone could tell she was shaken, her bursting into tears whenever they had to show photos of your body or ask her to speak
Everyone knew how much this hurt her, which make Hajime’s gut sink as he realized who the killer was
“The only reason we knew someone was hurt was because Gundham got a suspicious letter, right? But only one person’s alibi gives them a chance to write that note. I hate to say this but...Mikan, was it you?”
Akana and Souda immediately began scolding Hajime for accusing her, Mikan herself bursting into tears over his words
But Chiaki shut them down, asking them calmly to listen to Hajime’s words
Mikan continued crying, repeatedly stating how she wasn’t the killer, how much she loved you, and how her alibi was rock solid
But Hajime persisted, and everyone watched as Mikan’s demeaner went from sad and broken and angry and harsh
“There’s no way I killed Y/n! I loved them! You’re just trying to cover for yourself!”
Mikan slowly cracked, and everyone got to see her true colors
She screamed at Hajime, only stopping when Chiaki raised her voice at her to stop.
“Monokuma, may I ask something? Is Mikan sick too?”
Monokuma jumped for joy, gleefully stating that Mikan had the remembrance disease
They all turned to the nurse, watching as she panted and hugged herself
“I remember everything! I know what the world is like- I know what we’re in! I gave Y/n a way out, you should be thanking me!”
She began laughing, only repeating the words “I saved Y/n the trouble...”
And she continued until she was led away, turning back one final time to wave to her fellow classmates
“See you guys later.”
Ibuki Mioda
Ibuki was the one that started to like the other first, having introduced herself in her own bubbly manner
You two always only ran into each other, until she asked you for some feedback on a new song she was writing
After that, you two were inseparable, always creating wild memories, whether it be having a beach party of two or setting off fireworks
you almost caught Komaeda’s hair on fire but that’s besides the point
You two had planned a day to hang out in the music venue, as Ibuki was teaching you how to play some notes on the guitar
You both agreed to be there at noon, so Ibuki strolled in a little before that
“Y/n~! Mioda is in the house! You ready to get our jammy jam on?!”
She threw open the door smiling, expecting to see you sitting on the stage, feet dangling off of it like you usually were
Instead, she found you on the floor only a few feet from the doorway, blindfolded and beaten, tear tracks running out from under the covering on your eyes
Ibuki stared, wide eyed, and before she could even scream, she blacked out
When she woke up, many of her classmates were circling her, her head in Peko’s lap
Dazed, she sat up, asking everyone why they were having a sleepover, before seeing the look on everyone’s faces
Memories flooding back, Ibuki jumped up screaming your name, eyes darting to your body
She threw herself to the floor, ripping the blindfold off of you and cradling you in her arms, crying
“Y/n, come back to Ibuki, please! Ibuki needs you to wake up!”
The only response she got was your head rolling back, engraving the despair in Ibuki’s heart
She felt a hand on her shoulder, and looked up through blurry eyes to see a few of her classmates offering their condolences
Ibuki sniffled, looking at you before laying you back down, backing away from your corpse
She tried her best to help throughout the investigation, helping them find the weapon, a bat, in the storage closet
Even thought she was investigating, people could tell her mind was elsewhere, and everyone could guess where it was
It was on the memories of the two of you, all the crazy things you did that led to nights of cuddling and laughing afterwards
Once the investigation period was over, everyone walked to the elevator
Ibuki stayed back a few minutes, crouching down next to you and brushing the hair out of your face
Her last goodbye to you
Finally, she got up and left, looking back one more time before closing the doors to the music venue
When they all got to the beginning of the trial, everyone was put off by how quiet Ibuki was
It started off quietly as all the trials did, no one wanting to start a conversation about a deceased friend that would only lead to another one dead
But slowly, the conversation gained momentum, the group obtaining alibis and new clues from the crime scene
Slowly Ibuki started integrating herself into the conversation, determined to help solve your case
This trial had been a relatively quiet one, which is why it scared everyone when Ibuki suddenly shouted at the top of her lungs
“OMIGOD GUYS! Ibuki knows who did it!!”
Everyone stared at her stunned as she rambled off a ton of confusing sentences, before finally just yelling
“So it was Teruteru!”
Everyone immediately turned to Teru, watching as he stuttered and pulled at his shirt collar
“I have no idea what you’re talking about!”
That was when Chiaki gasped, simply saying, “The time of death!”
That’s when it clicked for Hajime, realizing that the time of death was at the exact gap in Teru’s alibi, Teru himself not even realizing it yet
All three of them laid the info out, causing Teru to break down and confess, stating that he just wanted to go home
They all voted after the confession, and watched as he gave his teary goodbye and was dragged off to the brutal execution
Ibuki didn’t watch, instead already walking towards the elevator so she could leave as soon as it was over
She left alone, making sure the doors shut before anyone else got on
Silently, she walked to the supermarket, grabbing a few things before she headed to the beach
A few people walking past saw her sitting on the sand, but didn’t dare bother her
Ibuki sat alone, watching the ocean as she lit off fireworks, remembering how you two would sit here covered in blankets, saying nothing as you watched the colorful light-show
She shivered
It was cold without you
Peko Pekoyama
Peko really thought you two were going to make it
After you two confirmed your relationship, she swore to protect you on the same level as her master
And she did, making sure any suspicious places were deemed safe and that any wounds you may suffer were properly cared for
You two always made it a habit to tell each other where you were, so when Peko realized that you weren’t in your said location, she began to panic
Expression remaining calm, she hurried around the island, not stopping when people tried to ask her where she was heading
She only stopped when she heard a scream, immediately turning towards the noise and sprinting
She raced towards the beach houses, running towards the dining hall
When she burst in the room, the sight alone made her sick to her stomach
Hiyoko was there crying, standing over your lifeless body
Peko ran over, falling to her knees and pulling you up, talking as if you would respond
“...Y/n? Please, get up...I need you to get up...please!”
Everyone else soon filed in, but Peko didn’t notice them
She continued to hold you, eyes closed as she held you as close as possible, as if it would bring you back
But it wouldn’t
Nothing would
She felt a hand on her shoulder, looking up to see Fuyuhiko
Letting her walls fall more, she got up and hugged him, holding onto him tightly as everyone investigated
She let her tears dry and sniffles stop, and eventually began helping with the search, stoic as ever
She stayed like that through the trial, listening as she let Hajime and Chiaki carry the conversation, glaring at Komaeda every time he made a snide comment about the crime
She had felt her hopelessness form into anger at hearing the murderer confess after being cornered
“I-I’m sorry! Ibuki didn’t mean it!”
Everyone turned to Peko, expecting her to lash out harshly at their blackened friend
Instead, they were greeted with the same cold Peko they were used to, somehow now being much more scary
“The only thing I’m sorry for is that I couldn’t protect Y/n before you killed them. I can’t say I’m sad to see you go, but I don’t speak for everyone.”
With that, Peko turned away from Ibuki, closing her eyes and allowing her breath to steady
She wanted to kill Ibuki, but she knew that wouldn’t be what you wanted
She listened as Ibuki gave shouted goodbyes, then her screams as she was dragged away and executed
Everyday after that, Peko seemed normal to everyone, only allowing a shadow of despair to cloud her when your name was said, and even then she quickly dispersed the darkness with a small comment on you or a swift topic change.
She couldn’t let her friends, especially Fuyuhiko, know how broken their loyal protector was.
What she didn’t know was that almost every night, anyone passing her dorm could hear the sniffles, or even sobs she gave through her door as she remembered what she had lost
You two were going to get out together.

Omigod. I finally finished one! I can’t believe this took me like what, three weeks?! I’ve been busy with a combination of school, writers block, and pure laziness, so I apologize for the late update! The next one is already halfway written, so I hope it gets out soon! Thank you :)

@more-than-a-princess answered [+]
If someone had told her a month ago that, on an uneventful Friday night at Hope’s Peak, she would be sequestered in Gundham’s room, in her pajamas, with her computer on half of her lap and Cerberus on the other half, Sonia would’ve first laughed and then asked how they’d been made privy to her dreams when she kept them from everyone.
But now that it had happened, she was almost wholly content. From her position, lazily leaning against his side to the small licks from the pomeranian at her hand, the dog’s way of demanding she pet him, she’d had the most peaceful evening that she’d been afforded in awhile. Not that she’d minded the most recent ones: from preparing for the annual masquerade ball to their whirlwind holiday through Europe and everything in between. But there was something to having no plans at all, beyond catching up correspondence, classwork, and official obligations she’d let slide as she’d let the most recent days be consumed by him and their new, mutual happiness.
There was only one snag: a question that she could no longer put off, no matter how much she tried, insisting to her parents that their relationship was still so new. But it had become clear to the King and Queen of Novoselic, just as it had been to Class 77-B when they’d returned from Europe: the two of them had been dating far longer than they officially would admit. A fact that made her both blush and made questions like this far more difficult than she’d anticipated.
Tumblr media
“Gundham,” Sonia began slowly, setting the laptop aside. Cerberus took her tension and forgotten computer as an opportunity, jumping fully into her lap as she in turn began to run her fingers through his fluffy fur. “I don’t want or mean to pry, as I hope you’ll understand that I’d be happy to wait until you’re comfortable discussing the topic. But I’m afraid my family isn’t quite as patient.”
That was the polite way of putting it. Her father stressed the urge of doing things correctly while her mother damn well threatened a private investigator, something Sonia had immediately put her foot down on. At least she’d been able to engage in a shouting match over the phone in the privacy of her own dorm room less than 48 hours after they’d returned to Japan. Most of her classmates had never witnessed Sonia raising her voice to anyone, so most of her floor had opened their doors in surprised as her bitter tones rang out through the long hallway.
“It’s just that…well, they’re uncomfortable not knowing anything about your family. And truthfully, so am I, though I would have preferred to wait until you’re ready to talk about them. At the very least, my mother seems to understand that you’re not, in her words, a ‘temporary fascination,’” Sonia sighed over the last two words, a label her mother had assumed and then wished not only for the duration of her trip back to Europe but for months upon months before, when Sonia would talk of little else of how much she enjoyed Gundham’s company and their friendship. But it had become clear to both her parents that the breeder, and Sonia’s love for him, weren’t going anywhere. And if the Royal Family were going to, some albeit grudgingly, accept it, then they’d made the only reasonable demand they could: to know as much as they could about the young man who had become so close with their daughter, whether it was information he willingly gave or not. “So it would be simpler if you could just tell me a little bit about them, anything you’d be all right with me passing onto my family, it would keep them out of our hair for a lit-”
But she didn’t have a chance to finish her request. Gundham had swiftly silenced her with a kiss. Even if it was likely a distraction, she didn’t care: kissing him, unexpectedly or planned, was terribly exciting, from quick pecks that made her cheeks flush pink to the one she was experiencing now, the sort that made her heart beat faster with a shiver down her spine and brought back all the sordid memories of Paris that she never wanted to forget. Sonia closed her eyes, humming gently into their liplock, hands brought up to hold his shoulders before wrapping fully around him, drawing herself closer while nudging the dog off her lap. Cerberus simply would have to understand that she would never tire of such affection from him, nor would she ever deny him a kiss just as passionate in return.
Sonia breathed in deeply once he let her lips go: there was no chance at hiding the crimson color that had blossomed over her cheeks, causing her to chuckle before shaking her head. He’d avoided her question and yet she could only smile. “Now that’s not fair. If you kiss me like that I’m afraid I’ll be inclined to agree with whatever you say. And that’s hardly good for politics and diplomacy, either for the good of a country or keeping peace in a family.”
Tumblr media
How strange it is that he has grown used to this. The breeder now comfortable with the idea of Sonia spending the night in his dorm but also sharing his bed. No longer nervous as she leans so casually against him. No longer hyper aware of her figure against him. Now he is only mildly aware as his scarred hand idly traces a gentle finger across her shoulder, the arm draped over the back of his gothic couch while she leans against his side.
Gundham’s other hand holds up a zoological journal that he reads, the breeder keeping himself abreast of all the recent animal related discoveries. It is a quiet time, peaceful as the two sit content in both their pajamas and each other’s presence. Animals join them, of course. Cerberus having chosen Sonia’s lap as a place to nap and receive loving pats, and the Four Dark Devas of Destruction perched in various stages of comfort on his shoulders and head. It is nice. A moment that brings a level of tranquility to Gundham that he has never truly felt before. A moment when everything feels right for once. He is quite happy to continue in this silence, to bask in her warmth against him and the soothing affect of Sonia’s presence.
But, alas, the princess breaks that peace.
At first the breeder hums as she says his name, Gundham listening but not turning away from his reading. Then he notes how serious her tone has become. Brows furrow for a moment, the breeder uncertain why such a tone is necessary, but his features do soften. The journal is lowered and he turns his gaze towards her. If this is something important to her then he will take it seriously. An internal promise that he reneges rather quickly. Asking about his family is an innocent enough inquiry but he feels a stab of panic, fear gripping his heart.
In a way she already knows where he came from, everyone in their class does. He has said as much in more than one of his many dramatic tirades. The truth of who and what he is has always been there, hidden beneath the fantastical layers of his narrative. Words describing a sordid affair between an angel and a demon. Him being born to be loathed by both families and all others. A sad, unwanted beginning being turned into something portentous. But that is not what Sonia, and in extension her parents, want from him. They want the truth placed before them, plain and damning. A thought that terrifies.
Instead of giving her that answer Gundham grasps at the first idea that pops into his mind, which when it comes to Sonia that happens to be kissing her. He acts on that instinct, shifting in his seat and tossing the journal aside. He leans towards her, hand cupping her cheek as he presses this kiss to her lips. It is a passionate thing, designed to make her forget these questions, the breeder hoping to draw her mind away from attempting to unravel the intricacies in his story. He imagines Sonia learning the truth of his unconventional family would only lead to disaster. After all, she loathes unfaithful lovers. It is only logical that she would hate the product of such a union.
The kiss lasts for some time, long enough for Gundham to position himself towards her. She hangs onto him, pushing close as his own motions bring them closer. It deepens for a moment, the breeder groaning as he feels an urge to push her backwards onto the couch and beneath him. Then the kiss breaks, breaths needing to be taken. The blush on her features, that smile, both indicators that his plan has worked, even if her words indicate she knows what he is doing. At least, Sonia does provide him with a new opportunity.
“Whatever I say, hmm?” he hums, smirking at her as he lets that sultry tone enter his deep voice. His hand shifts, moving to toy with her golden hair. “Then perhaps you will be so kind as to convince your illustrious parents that my origins are of little importance. Surely, all that matters is that I adore you. That I would traverse the Inferno to simply make you smile. Or snatch the darkest secrets from the depths of the Cosmic Void if that is what you wished of me.”
