Good evening and hello, members or visitors of Elsternwick! So terribly sorry to keep you waiting with these updates, the mod team’s been busy working on various things, but first, let’s open with our new arrivals!
Please Note: If your muse isn’t on this list, don’t worry! We had to make a cut-off for this current run due to a surprising number of apps that took us off guard, we’ll add them to the list starting next week!

And that does it for character updates!
For this update, we’d like to announce that we have reworded our stance on “Characters from upcoming games”, as well as our spoiler window!
Before, it was that any character from a game that was “Unfinished” would have to wait until the game was finished for you to apply them, but upon further discussion with members, we concluded that this was a bit too much, so, now
You are allowed to apply characters from games that are in “Early Access” (As much as you could if a show’s season isn’t over!), so long as they have a characterization or plot that is set in stone and is unlikely to change! Basically, if the character has enough to work with, you’re good!
Though, if a character is mysterious with a backstory that is largely made up by headcanons or fan interpretation, we ask that you wait until there is much more to work with! (An example of this would be Kris and Ralsei from Deltarune, there’s quite a lot about them that we don’t know...)
And in the case of a character taking a shocking left turn, please look into updating them, or making them canon divergent! <:
And secondly, we would like to revise our stance on “Spoiler characters”, essentially, from now on, a month wait is enough for most characters that are considered spoilers (Minor to Moderate), after a month has passed since a game’s release or a spoiler episode, you should be good...
Unless they are considered a “Walking Spoiler”, a massive spoiler of a character that can change the flow of a story and who’s mere existence is a spoiler in itself. For that, you’ll likely be waiting 2 months or more, and the mod team will review if it’s ok for that character to be played, given how they may spoil something for people joining!
Over all, it’s much more of a case-by-case basis now, we may even shorten the wait time to apply characters from a new IP to two weeks! But, for now, we hope this results in many new and interesting characters joining us!
For other updates, we’re hoping to have posts up about some of the changes we’ve made to Elsternwick, including the Job System (Pretty simple!), an update to our wording on the ban list, and a few other fun surprises, and we hope you’ll look forward to reading about them!

Ella Mai Will Bring Her ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ Album On A North American Tour

Ella Mai announced that she would be going on tour in 2023.

The R&B singer has announced dates for her “Heart on My Sleeve” tour. The 34-date trek kicks off March 31 in Wallingford, Conn. and travels across North America, with stops in New York, Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles, wrapping June 1 in Toronto.
The tour comes in support of her latest album Heart on My Sleeve, which was released in May. A deluxe edition is set for release on Feb. 2.
“The deluxe tracks are some of my favorite songs currently so I’m happy to be able to share them with the world,” said Ella. “I get to bring new life to a body of work that is a year old but remains very close to my heart. Likewise with the Heart On My Sleeve Tour. This is the first time I’m getting to perform some of these tracks live. It’s almost like reading your diary aloud in front of an audience, but there’s no better place for me to be vulnerable than in my music and on stage with my fans.”
This will be Ella’s third headlining tour since 2018. She most recently joined Mary J. Blige on her “Good Morning Gorgeous Tour” last fall.
Tickets go on sale Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. local time, with a pre-sale starting Jan. 25. See dates below.

Day 2: Flowers

The first time she found one, she was rather surprised. Soul wasn’t one for mushy things, especially not giving her flowers out of the blue. It was after one of his Death Scythe missions. He brought her back a book, telling her he thought she’d want to read it. When she finally decided to open it, a pressed flower fell from its pages. When she asked, he told her it was a morning glory and said nothing else.
The next time she found one, it had been in a book she was currently reading. She supposed he put it there while she was sleeping, but she wasn’t entirely sure. Tsubaki had recently come home from Japan, bringing flowers to keep herself thinking of home. Maka was sure this was one of the camellias she had brought back. When she asked, he told her he overheard her say she liked them and Tsubaki agreed to give him one. He said nothing else.
Finding the pressed flowers between pages of books became her favorite past time, but she would never tell Soul. She was sure he already knew, however, since more and more were appearing. She would always ask about them, not sure what she was hoping he’d say. Sometimes she would try guessing what the flowers were, other times she’d just ask. What she loved most was his little stories behind each one. He never spoke more than a sentence or two about them, simply telling her where he got them or how.
Now was different. They were stationed together in London to meet with the European division about new policies from Lord Death. Soul forced her to go sight seeing, claiming she needed to experience more than what Death City had to offer. “Live a little”’ he had said. He wasn’t necessarily wrong, she could use a change of scenery. They traveled a lot for work but they never really had time to stay and visit. This time they had plenty of time; their meeting had adjourned, they didn’t have any calls from Lord Death, and they had the next three days ahead of them. It was almost like a vacation.
The air was a little cold and the weather was rather dull, but Soul told her it was always like that. Sun was a rarity in England. He told her about the time he visited with his family for one of Wes's performances. The weather had been just as dreary then, too. They walked through the city stopping at the different attractions and visiting the local shops. Mostly, they walked through each one, simply admiring the different trinkets and bubbles. It wasn’t until they passed a flower boutique that anything really caught their eye.
Maka pulled Soul to a stop, admiring the lilies that were on display. The shopkeeper told her they were the heart of London and offered her one to which she politely declined. They continued their stroll through London, enjoying their break and the company the other provided. Soul returned to the booth the next day.
She found it when they returned home, stored away in her copy of Sugarplum Dead. When she asked, he told her he liked seeing her happy. The kiss that followed was languid but sweet. She told him the lily was her favorite and he inquired why.
“It’s my favorite shade of red.”
