My one pet peeve with way people do worldbuilding for rainworld is everything is always 'eh its a purposed organism thing' for anything like slightly cool and out there. You dont get just how WEIRD evolution can get. Imagine how weird it could get with evolution backed by a bunch of guys also throwing things together generations ago. There are ants that explode on command as a defense mechanism and lizards that can fire slime blasts from their tails in REAL LIFE, is "they made this bug electric on purpose" the best you can do. No they did something fucked up to a bug a billion years ago and now its extra fucked up

Sherlolly prompt please? “For science!” and Friends to lovers!
Taken from my Trope Duos prompt list (prompts are now closed).  #16: “For Science!” and, #17: Friends to Lovers.
Two of my absolute favorite tropes together, you’d think it’d be easy to write… but NO, I stared at this prompt for WEEKS before I finally managed this fluffy bit of Teen!lock.  Please forgive my tardiness, and happy reading! (I hope…)
*
For Science
Molly Hooper.
Yes, she would make the perfect test subject.
For some weeks now, Sherlock had been forming an idea in his mind, an idea regarding his future.  He had no desire for the staid and proper career paths to which so many of his peers, and his superiors, subjected themselves.  He much preferred the idea of working on a freelance basis, particularly in regard to his field of choice: criminal justice.  Scotland Yard was out of the question, the “detectives” there were lazy at best, incurably stupid at worst.  No, he would be their consultant, offering a second (superior) pair of eyes whenever they were out of their depth.  It was quite genius, really.
Using the new memory technique he’d learned, Sherlock had begun constructing a palace within his mind, storing any and all information that might be relevant to his career.  Most of it could be found in books, on the internet, or buried within his subconscious, but there was one area in which these methods fell short.  Social and emotional context was best studied on another person, and also in person, with the subject providing both something to observe, and their own descriptions.
Which brought him back to Molly Hooper.  As a young woman who typically wore her heart on her sleeve, the observation aspect would be fairly easy, and despite her being a year behind him, she was in his chemistry class.  Therefore, she would provide much better insight than the other dullards in the school.
Also, there was the matter of her being his only friend.
Not that Sherlock minded, he couldn’t care less what the rest of the idiots in the school thought of him.  They were, as previously stated, idiots, and he aimed to keep such people at as far a distance as possible.  That said, it would be difficult to convince anyone with whom he was not on good terms to assist him in any experiments, much less this particular one.  Fortunately, he did have Molly, and her innate kindness and similar interest in the sciences substantially increased the chances of her accepting.
His decision made, Sherlock waited until lunch and sought her out in the dining hall.  As usual, he found her seated in a corner table, isolated from the rest of their classmates.  Unlike him, Molly actually liked people, but her shy disposition kept her from reaching out to them.  The two of them would never have been friends, had they not been assigned to one another as lab partners.  The year had set off to a rocky start (Molly timid and stammering and occasionally clumsy, Sherlock aloof and insistent that he preferred to work alone), but over time, he had grown to respect her intellect, so obviously above the cattle surrounding them.  In turn, she had found her strength, no longer stammered, and was unafraid of standing up to him.  Granted, some things had been easier before she’d grown a spine, but he found her much more interesting now, and, most surprising of all, she never bored him.
The focus of his thoughts lifted her head as he approached the table, her usual grin curling her lips.  “Hello, Sherlock!” she greeted cheerfully.
He offered a nod of his head, taking the seat opposite her.  “Molly.  Enjoying the roast pork?”
Molly glanced down at the barely-touched meat and gravy on her tray, wrinkling her nose.  “Not particularly, no.  The potatoes are rubbish as well.  Still,” she added, “it’s better than nothing, I suppose.”
“Mm, debatable,” he countered, and she rolled her eyes with a fond smile.
“Well, most of us need to eat regular meals, Sherlock.”
He groaned dramatically.  “How unbearably dull.”
Molly sniggered, then took a purposeful bite of the roast pork, holding his gaze the entire time.  She grimaced, but did not look away, even after she had swallowed the disgusting food.  “There, see?  I’m not afraid of doing unpleasant things.”
Sherlock raised an eyebrow at her in response, then used her bold statement as his means of changing the subject.  “Speaking of which,” he began, “I have rather an unusual experiment I’m hoping to undertake, and I’ll need assistance.  After some consideration, I’ve decided you would be best suited to help me.”
It was Molly’s turn to lift an eyebrow.  “Had to sit and think about that one, did you?”
“Yes, well, I never said it was a lengthy period of consideration, did I?”
Molly speared another bite of pork.  “Right, come on then.  What’s this experiment?”
“Kissing.”
The fork clattered onto the tray, sending several drops of watery gravy splattering in all directions.  Sherlock frowned and scooted backwards to avoid the spray.  “What the hell was that about?”
Molly’s eyes, already bordering on too big for her face, nearly doubled in size.  “Y-you… you want to… that is…”
“Really, Molly, I thought we’d gotten past the stammering by now.”
“Don’t be a git, Sherlock,” she snapped, and he noted with satisfaction that her voice was much steadier.  “Explain yourself.”
Sherlock sighed and leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table (thankfully, the gravy eruption had not reached his side of the table).  “You already know my career plans, of course.”  She nodded in confirmation.  “It has recently come to my attention that certain behaviors, certain… reactions… would be most helpful to understand.  Particularly the reactions following specific forms of sexual stimuli.”
Molly blinked a few times.  “So… you want to know what it looks and feels like to be kissed?”
“That’s rather oversimplifying the matter, but… essentially, yes.”
She fixed her eyes on a spot of stray gravy, gnawing thoughtfully on her lower lip.  Sherlock waited, mustering no small amount of patience to do so, knowing if he pressed the matter, she would be far less agreeable.  Finally, she lifted her eyes to meet his.  “This is all just… an experiment?  Strictly for science?”
“Of course,” he nodded.
Molly inhaled slowly, deeply through her nose, and Sherlock saw the decision in her eyes before she vocalized it.  “Okay.  I’ll do it.”
*
Two days later, on an unusually sunny Saturday, Sherlock and Molly took the weekly bus into the nearby town, and made for the most secluded spot available: a little cluster of trees within the town’s small park.  The boughs of four fir trees, standing close together, created a nearly fully enclosed space, the gaps just wide enough to slip through sideways.  Molly grinned to herself at the smell of pine and earth, grateful for the memories and the brief distraction it brought.  Too brief, she mused, as Sherlock sidled in behind her, reminding her of the reason for this unorthodox destination.
Her nerves were sky-high as he invaded her space, his fingers gently closing around her upper arm to turn her around.  Molly didn’t meet his eyes immediately, opting to focus on his shirt buttons (bad idea, they were straining to keep their place against his surprisingly toned torso), counting to three in her mind before finally lifting her head.
…And finding the same nervousness in his face..
“Right,” he murmured, his voice breaking so slightly, she thought she must have imagined it.  “So… shall we?”
Molly swallowed thickly.  “Well, ah…  first let’s… let’s talk about some of the… chemical reactions.  You’ve done, erm, some research on that?”
“Yes,” he said a bit too loudly, clearly grateful for the delay.  He cleared his throat.  “Preliminary research indicates that the act of kissing another human being produces a flood of dopamine, serotonin, and, in cases of great affection in one or both parties, oxytocin.”
“Mmhmm,” she nodded.  “What else?”
“Physiological signs of this release of chemicals include flushed cheeks, dilated pupils, elevated pulse, and labored, erratic breathing.  And, in the male’s case, there may even be an erection.”
Molly fought the embarrassed blush that bloomed beneath her cheeks at his use of… that word.  “Right, well… I think that, erm… just about covers it.”
Sherlock, whose expression had become passive as he recited the science behind kissing, snapped his gaze in her direction.  He looked… well, he looked properly terrified, to be honest, like she’d just told him his mother was coming for an impromptu visit (which had happened once, though the headmaster had been the one to inform him, rather than Molly).  Certainly not for the first time, Molly wondered if this really was such a good idea.  Yes, she’d secretly fancied Sherlock since she clapped eyes on him.  Yes, she’d fantasized about snogging him on numerous occasions, though usually in a more romantic setting.  And yes, she was also aware that this was as close to that fantasy as she would ever get.  But if he was going to be miserable the whole time… she couldn’t do it.
“Look, Sherlock, we don’t have to do this.  I know you want to gain as much knowledge as you can, anything that might help your career, but if you don’t want to kiss me—”
“It’s not that,” he interrupted her, his eyes downcast.
“Oh… then… you do want to?”
“No.”
“No?” she parroted back, just a little bit hurt.
He hesitated, a familiar little crinkle forming between his brows as he pondered this.  Molly had a feeling that crinkle would become much more prominent in a few years, as often as she saw it.  Finally, he looked at her, his crystalline eyes wide and worried.  “I’ve never kissed anyone.”
Molly paused, waiting for the rest of his explanation… but after a few moments of silence, it became clear that that was the whole explanation.  “Well, I sort of knew that… I mean, if you had, you wouldn’t be carrying out a snogging experiment, would you?”
Sherlock was perfectly still for fully ten seconds, before finally asking, “So… you don’t mind?”
“Of course not!” she laughed, taking care that she didn’t come off as mocking him.  “It’s not like I’ve been snogging boys left and right myself.  I’ve only had one real boyfriend, and... well... you know how that turned out.”
“Hm, yes I remember,” he mused.  "How is dear Jim faring in prison, I wonder?"
"Who cares?" she muttered.  "My point is, you don't need to be self-conscious."
"I'm not…" he began, but cut himself off when he saw the look of annoyance Molly gave him.  "Okay, fine.  I may be the slightest bit out of my depth here "
Molly smiled.  "I should be recording this."
"Don't make jokes, Molly."
"Don't be a prat, Sherlock."
"I'm not—" he was cut off again, this time by Molly, who had abruptly grabbed his face and crushed her lips against his.  Sherlock instinctively closed his eyes as his mind raced to process all the new data and stimuli presented to him.
Warm… soft… smells like cinnamon… wonder if she tastes like it too?  As if reading his thoughts, Molly's lips parted on a breathy sigh, and Sherlock slid his tongue out to taste her.  Mmm, yes, tastes like cinnam—oh, God…  Her hands had drifted upward, fingers carding through his hair, and he simultaneously shivered and flushed, heat spreading all the way down to his toes.
In the back of his mind, a voice whispered that he was supposed to be doing something… but for the life of him, he couldn't remember what it was.  All he could think was, not enough.  She wasn't close enough, he wasn't touching her enough.  Well, he soon remedied that, firmly locking his arms around her and lifting her off the ground.  Molly gasped against his lips, and the sound sent another flash of heat through him.  A quiet groan met his ears, and as her wide, startled eyes met his, he realized it had come from him.
They remained still, eyes locked and panting for breath, before Sherlock slowly lowered Molly back to the ground.  His arms dropped limply by his sides, and she took a step backward, avoiding his gaze.  At one point, her eyes did stray in his direction, and the pink blush on her cheeks darkened.  Sherlock followed the trajectory id that embarrassed glance, and found—oh.  Well, he had been enjoying himself, hadn't he?
"I-I’m sorry," she stammered.
He frowned.  "Why on earth are you sorry?"
Molly shrugged one shoulder, still not looking at him.  "I dunno… I just… it's fine," she mumbled quietly as her arms wrapped around her middle.
Sherlock watched her begin to shrink into herself, and felt a painful tug against his navel.  In his current, befuddled state, he did not pause to think about what he was doing, he simply acted.  His hands found her shoulders, gently pulling her back toward him. She stiffened, and he held his breath, as if the slightest puff of air would send her running.  Her dark eyes lifted, and finally, the scientific portion of his brain kicked in, noting the physiological signs in her.  Eyes dilated… face flushed… breathing irregular… his left hand shifted slowly up along her neck… elevated pulse.
He couldn't help the gratified smirk he felt stretching across his face.  Molly's eyebrowed pulled together in confusion.  "I'm afraid the results of this experiment were rather… inconclusive."  Cradling her face in both hands, he bent his head, his intent obvious.  "Further study is required."
Molly grinned, all shyness cast aside, and her fingers toyed with the collar of his coat.  "Well… I suppose I can manage that.  In the name of science," she added with mock seriousness.
Sherlock dove in and captured her lips again, hoisting her up off her feet as he had before.  This time, Molly's legs wrapped around his waist, and she eagerly kissed him back.  And as the endorphins and hormones flooded his brain once more, Sherlock decided this was easily the best idea he'd ever had.

Got Eagle on your quiz, cool but didn't feel right so I'm looking for any other form suggestions (both Pullman and analysis-based)? I'm a Chaotic Good INFP 6w7 (641 tritype) Slytherin with an Aries sun and a Sagittarius moon. Despite being an introvert, I'm still assertive and charismatic/able to "make friends everywhere". I'm idealistic enough that I believe nothing is truly impossible and often prone to tears at unsolvable problems. I'm creative and individualistic but also value my intellect.
hey! :)
i definitely agree, the eagle doesn’t seem quite fitting for you based on your description... i can see elements of it in how assertive you are and that element of ambition and individualism. but a bird of prey definitely is not the sort of animal to be Fi-dominant and driven by that sense of idealism and creativity. you sound like you’re a counterphobic 6?
if birds feel right to you, have you tried looking at galliformes? these are going to include partridges, pheasants, fowl, etc. many species within this category fit a lot of your more ambitious tendencies: individualistic, assertive, and often have high standards, but much less driven, goal-oriented, and cutthroat than a bird of prey. the chukar partridge, for example, would be someone more introverted but socially-motivated as they're an understanding, compassionate, and protective sort of person. they're extremely hardy, and while can be prone to anxiety, are driven by a strong sense of curiosity. the siberian grouse is in a similar vein with being rather socially flexible, communicative, having strong boundaries, and are protective of friends... much less anxious but still curious like the partridge. and the reeves's pheasant is a gorgeous bird that's extremely hardy and adaptable, but assertive and determined as well. my only consideration is that these species are typically more gregarious, but you say you’re very social so they still may fit.
outside of birds, definitely check out mustelids. counterphobic 6 describes these species to a T: they’re resilient, spontaneous, curious, socially flexible, and driven. you’ve got species like the eurasian otter who’s independent but friendly and open-minded, communicative, boundary-keeping, intuitive and perceptive, easily distracted, and spontaneous. and then there’s more internal species like the ferret-badger who are going to be adaptable, resourceful, internally motivated, unobtrusive, capable, curious, and socially tolerant. the nilgari marten is also a good choice as they’re more social than most mustelids, also highly cooperative, adaptable, driven, and alert. i think though what’s important about these species is they’re going to be fairly self-focused. this is someone who’s very absorbed in their narrative — not cruelly, but they’re not the sort who will do things they don’t want to do just for the sake of others.
and finally let me toss out some wild cards and see if anything resonates with you. i kept coming back to river dolphins, who are much less social than their ocean cousins and typically travel in smaller, bonded groups, which might be a good compromise between introversion but still someone who makes friends whenever they go. the amazon river dolphin, for example, can be found alone, in a pair, or in a small pod. this species is ambitious, curious, observant, playful, adaptable, and selectively outgoing in that they're not shy but just not extroverts.some wild canid species might pin down your social behavior... typically canines i lean more towards Fe, but certain species like the culpeo may fit? they’re independent and socially selective, spontaneous and not inclined to plan, communicative, opportunistic, and, curious.
hope this helps! :)

Aurora was born on February 14, 1980, at 3:33AM, in London, England. This puts her on the natal chart as an Aquarius sun, Capricorn moon, and Sagittarius rising. I’ve put what that means under the cut, and I’m kinda surprised by how well this describes the entire character I’ve created, not just Aurora. kinda creepy????
SUN IN AQUARIUS
The eleventh sign of the zodiac is Aquarius and these people are perfect representatives for the Age of Aquarius. People born under this sign possess the social conscience required to bring society into a a new millennium. Aquarians are philanthropic, humanitarian, and genuinely passionate about improving the world. They want to make the world work better, which is why they put a lot of energy into social institutions and how they work. These people are visionaries; they constantly think about how conditions could be improved. Aquarians also engage others in this, which is why they have a big social circle. Making this world a better place for all requires teamwork in the eyes of an Aquarius. The symbol of Aquarius is the Water Bearer. The Water Bearer brings an essential liquid as a gift, and Aquarians do that through their new ideas and thoughts. Aquarians have inventive and original thought processes and won't hesitate to share their ideas with the owrld. However, they are much happier when everyone agrees with them. The Water Bearer may be a bit impatient with people that disagree with them. Due to their fixed quality, these people may be stubborn in their opinions. Saturn and Uranus rule Aquarius. In ancient Roman mythology, Saturn was viewed as the father of multiple gods, as well as the original ruler of Aquarius. Uranus is considered the oldest of the gods in Roman times, but was discovered much later than Saturn. These planetary elements together are quite vibrant and strong in this sign. Aquarians enjoy thinking and putting their ideas in the world in part to Saturn's association with being a taskmaster. Uranus puts the visionary spirit in Aquarians. Air is the element of Aquarius, which means they are very intellectual. They have broad minds and love to explore complex and scientific ideas for the greater good. Therefore, Aquarians are quite inventive and artistic. This sign loves new inventions and will be quick to share new technologies with others. Aquarians think that new thought and originality are needed to make a change in the world. They also are individualistic and freedom-loving, so they very much enjoy travel. Though they are pretty compassionate and sympathetic, they like it best when things go their way. Some may think their behavior is eccentric, but when the Water Bearer's heart is in the right place, these are overlooked. Aquarians tend to surround themselves with many people, usually friends and family. THey appreciate their vast friend group and want to give back to them as much as they are able to. Overall, the greatest strengths of an Aquarius are their humanity, intellect, and vision. They are committed to improving the world and try to help everyone they can.
MOON IN CAPRICORN
The moon rules the moods and emotions. The placement of the moon in your chart determines your inner self; it shapes your soul and what you need to feel emotionally secure. It controls what goes on below the surface of your personality. The moon sign may influence how strongly your sun sign is expressed, which is why people with the same zodiac sun sign may behave differently. Capricorn Moons are stable, ambitious, traditional, and disciplined. Capricorn is a very business-oriented sign, so people with this placement tend to be practical and serious when it comes to their emotions. They are natural leaders, known to be capable and reliable in crises. They have an inner need to prove themselves and live up to the best that they can be, though they are rarely satisfied with themselves. Public image is very important to Capricorn Moons, so they try hard to avoid doing anything that will diminish their image in the eyes of others. Capricorn Moons feel secure when they have high social status, a lot of achievements, and solid foundations. They achieve emotional fulfillment when supporting others, working towards a goal, and accepting responsibility, as they love to be relied on. They enjoy material matters because it gives them a sense of tangible balance. Capricorn Moons have an inner knack for achieving success and they are very good at finding realistic solutions to problems. Ruled by hardworking Saturn, Capricorn Moons are constantly putting effort into various tasks. They set the bar high for themselves and it may be hard for them to relax. As an earth sign with a cardinal quality, Capricorn Moons have a lot of initiative and will back that up with patience and endurance when working towards a goal. They want to achieve “self-mastery” because they feel out of control when they have to depend on others. They have a very pragmatic approach to life and will create realistic goals and boundaries for themselves. This sign doesn’t like being told what to do and they have an inner need to feel useful and productive. In Capricorn, the Moon is in its “detriment,” meaning that emotional connections are not very easy for this sign. Capricorn Moons try not to let their emotions rule them, so they may find it hard to relate to people with different beliefs and opinions. They tend to use sarcasm and dry humor to hide their dark emotions. This may make them appear detached, but Capricorn Moons have a loyal and loving demeanor beneath the surface. They are good at appearing calm and collected because they don’t want to compromise their public image by showing emotion. Though they may not use words to express their feelings for others, their actions will show it.
SAGITTARIUS RISING
The rising sign, or ascendant, is the Zodiac sign that was rising eastern of the horizon when a person was born. The ascendant is known as the mask one wears when meeting new people. It takes in both appearance and personality, which is why some may identify with their ascendant more than they do with their sun sign. The rising sign represents the first personality traits people exhibit naturally or in uncomfortable situations. The world is loaded up with fun experiences, new adventures, and, most of all, hope, with Sagittarius Ascendants. There is an undeniable confidence and eagerness with Sagittarius rising individuals. Excellent plans, big promises, and a drive to explore and experiment are parts of Sagittarius rising personalities. However, follow-through may not always be on the calendar. These people are fairly restless and dynamic individuals. They seem to always be searching for things that are just out of grasp — and many do this their whole lives. They can be very blunt at times, yet they are typically likable enough for others to pardon this. Most Sagittarius risings have a lot to say and give. Their sentiments and knowledge are usually fascinating and energizing, although sometimes these ideas lack details.

Race in 5e: Who Is at Your Table?
I had to write an argumentative essay for one of my classes this semester. I was really into the idea I had, and gave it a shot! I think this might be one of the best pieces I’ve ever written.
Word count: 2995 TW: Discussions of race science, orientalism, and references to white supremacist rhetoric
Writing is difficult, and it’s even more difficult to write collaboratively. This applies to TTRPG as much as it applies to novels. Sure, the DM could simply railroad the players into sessions of combat, lock them into a certain path, or make their other options so terrible that they simply must go the way the story is leading, but it’s bad practice. After all, though it’s not a traditional story, written down in book form for distribution, TTRPG relies on the interplay between the DM’s idea for what should happen in the story, and the players’ ideas. Unlike writing a book, however, TTRPGs rely on another influence, rather than just the set of people who have agreed to tell a story. There’s always at least one other person in the situation, who might be completely unknown to the DM and players. I refer, of course, to the game designer. TTRPGs have far more freedom than video games, but the decisions made by the game designer have the same amount of weight in both mediums. In Skyrim, for example, this looks like a prioritization of combat mechanics over puzzle solving mechanics or relationship mechanics. Though both are implemented in the game, there’s not nearly as many options in playstyle for relationships, or variation in puzzle types, for it to be considered a romance game, or a puzzle game. In TTRPG, the influence of the designer is often far less apparent. In 5e, your character can do basically whatever they want so long as the other people at the table agree that it’s something they want to interact with. However, with some exception, you will not be able to run a game set, for example, in real-world Chicago or on a transport vessel in space. Players tend to be locked into a fantasy setting. Like Skyrim, 5e is a system that prioritizes combat in a magical, pseudo-European medieval setting. It’s a mix of mechanics, and built-in worldbuilding that can allow us to come to this conclusion - each spell, if it doesn’t explicitly add or remove hit points from a target, changes the rules for when and how combat can happen, and each class is described in their flavor text in high fantasy terms, often opening with the examples of ways each one can be useful in combat. True as all this may be, it is, at its core a neutral thing, and I find myself blessed to occasionally be at the tables of others as a game designer and homebrewer. All games must make assumptions about the kind of game players want, and must do their best to fulfil those expectations, the same way a speaker might attempt to predict the thoughts, previous knowledge, and counter-arguments of their audience. However, in 5e, there lies a certain set of assumptions that I personally find troubling, and in fact in need of some serious reworking. The way that race functions in 5e represents an old-fashioned way of viewing the world. In the most direct terms, yeah, it’s kinda racist. Therefore, the assumptions 5e makes in their race system, represented in mechanics that both promote archaic ways of thinking and force the narrative in directions the players and DM may be uncomfortable with, means that it is time to either dramatically change the way race works, or pass over the system entirely.
When a DM is preparing to start a new game of 5e, one very good place to start is the Dungeon Master’s Guide, or DMG. In it, theoretically, are the tools for DMs and players alike to better understand exactly what the game they are playing looks like. In many ways, it’s a behind the scenes look at what goes into planning a session. For example, each “encounter”, or a portion of the game in which the players fight enemies or find ways around them, there’s a bit of calculation which can tell you what enemies will be appropriate for your party size and level. However, in a new game, before even doing that, you should go to the beginning of chapter 1, on page 9. It lists the assumptions the rules make about your setting, which is a helpful tool for anyone attempting to rectify the base rules with a far-out, high-concept world. They are as follows: “Gods Oversee the World”, “Much of the World is Untamed”, “The World is Ancient”, “Conflict Shapes the World’s History”, and “The World is Magical”. On paper, that’s all you need to know (though it might be worth noting that on page 43 the book contradicts this and gets more specific about what sort of multiverse is required to support the rules). These are five basic rules anyone can follow, rules that most people working to create a fantasy setting would have followed anyway, especially in such a combat-focused system. However, in the Player’s Handbook, (abbreviated as PHB) there are additional assumptions about the setting you’ll be playing in, most notably in the section on the different races that appear in 5e. For starters, each race has a small box that explains how the other races in the game are likely to view them. Taken from page 37, when the book is discussing how Gnomes (a small race of humanoids with large heads and thin limbs) think about their place among other races, “It's rare for a gnome to be hostile or malicious unless he or she has suffered a grievous injury. Gnomes know that most races don't share their sense of humor, but they enjoy anyone's company just as they enjoy everything else they set out to do.” They give no explanation for why gnomes tend to be “Good”, in terms of 5e’s morality system. Perhaps this isn’t an oversight, and instead they are allowing you to fill in the blanks yourself? Do the gnomes perhaps have free healthcare, while some others do not?
I am of course being facetious. I am certain the creators didn’t think quite so far ahead, and instead just wanted to paint a picture of the world they envisioned. It’s not some great sin of design, of course, to do this, and I will admit I am guilty of it in my own design. However, this is just one of the smaller examples of 5e making decisions for the DM and the players. Unlike some other portions of the rules, that brief note can be ignored with little to no need for creating a replacement. You could just as easily scribble the note out of the book, and leave a black sharpie stain where it once sat. Unfortunately, there are other decisions made about race that are much harder to ignore without a level of homebrewed (or player-created) mechanics. For example, a little later, on page 43, the book tells you about the specific mechanical benefits that half-orcs get. Two in particular stand out to me as disturbing. The first, Menacing, means that “You gain proficiency in the Intimidation skill”. The other is Savage Attacks, which reads “When you score a critical hit with a melee weapon attack, you can roll one of the weapon's damage dice one additional time and add it to the extra damage of the critical hit”. There is no way in which these cannot be seen as narrative decisions on the part of the creators. Exactly what is it about an orc’s presence that would mean it is more intimidating than any other person? One could surmise that, perhaps they are much larger than most people, or that their rarity means that people are not used to their size and tusks. Perhaps I only speak for myself, but I do not often find myself intimidated by people who look different from what I am used to. The explanation the rules provide is that full-blooded-orcs are barbaric raiders, who wantonly destroy and kill, and are considered evil. Why is it, however, that there’s an entire group of people, people with thoughts, feelings, social structures, who can produce viable offspring with members of other groups of people, that the book deems evil? I submit that, in the minds of the creators, there is some sort of orientalist mystique behind the savage barbarian, one that is physically superior, and yet is still no more than fodder to be torn through by the heroes of the story. This isn’t even the worst example of racism built into the game, but to explain this next portion, I will need to explain a concept.
At its base level, phrenology is, as per the Encyclopedia Britannica, “the study of the conformation of the skull as indicative of mental faculties and traits of character, especially according to the hypotheses of Franz Joseph Gall”. Gall, born in 1758, measured the heads of his colleagues, convicts, and people in asylums, in order to determine traits such as intellect and potentiality for criminal behavior. As with many things invented in late 18th century Europe, this practice was used to fuel European imperialism. The article Of ‘Native Skulls’ and ‘Noble Caucasions’: Phrenology in Colonial South Africa, by Andrew Bank, explains very quickly that “The leading proponents of the new discipline almost uniformly adapted their science of the brain to issues of racial differentiation”. I assume that from here it isn’t difficult to see the direction I am heading with this. Elves, Tieflings, Humans, and Gnomes are given bonuses to Intelligence. Dwarves, Humans, and Elves are given bonuses to Wisdom. Elves, Half-Elves, Humans, Tieflings, Dragonborn, and Halflings are given bonuses to Charisma. Of the races present in the PHB, Half-Orcs are the only ones that don’t get any bonuses to the so-called “Mental Stats”. Physical stats, on the other hand, include Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution, and Half-Orcs get bonuses to Strength and Constitution. In mechanical terms, this leads to a fairly good balance. The other classes serve as either well-rounded jacks-of-all-trades, or are specialized for certain casters, or help fit an archetype of dexterous fighter/caster combinations, while the Half-Orcs are specialized for non-caster tanks, such as the Barbarian or the Fighter. This makes narrative sense as well; if Half-Orcs are raised by the orcish side of their family, they are far more likely to be brutal in martial combat, trained to fight and kill anyone who might have supplies or treasure for them.
However much this might “make sense”, I have to ask why this was an addition to the game. I see three possible answers, and by my approximation, they are likely to all be true. The first is that the creators wanted more narrative control than they let on. The second is that they needed those stats to be stand-in numbers to represent various types of spellcaster and are simply ignorant to their implications. The third is that the creators simply find race science unobjectionable. Earlier, I suggested that the game designer joins the players and the DM at the table, through their work. At my table, ignorance and suggestions that some races are simply more intellectually powerful than others is not tolerated, and I should only hope you feel the same way.
At this point, you’re thinking so loud that I can practically hear it, even in the past. “Ignorance isn’t tolerated? What if the ignorant person in question is willing to change, and well-meaning?”, but if this is what you were thinking, I say with the deepest respect that you’re being just a touch too literal. Of course, if I’ve sat down and agreed to play with someone I know, I am willing to go over why what they said made me uncomfortable. TTRPG is a dialogue, one where the players and the DM must negotiate, not battle, for the story they want to tell, and where everyone must speak up when something happens that makes them upset. The difference between a literal player’s presence and the game designer’s figurative presence is that there is no arguing with a book. In some ways, it’s easier to change a book’s mind. Simply write your own rules, and move on, there’s no need to debate an actual person. You may also be thinking that 5e simply utilizes the mechanics of previous editions. While that is technically true, what is the point of creating a new edition if you can’t change things moving forward? And what’s more, each of my criticisms can be moved onto 1e. The biggest criticism I expect against my argument however, isn’t any of this. Obviously, only one of the races in 5e is human. Nothing in 5e indicates that one race of human is significantly better or worse than any other race of human, and so surely it can’t be racism. Again, you may be thinking a little too literally. In the world supposed by 5e, each race is seen as a person, and (depending on the setting and narrative your group constructs) has the same rights to freedom and life, and yet some are just more mentally skilled than others as soon as they are born. How often in reality do the dregs of society say something along the lines of “it isn’t that I think [members of a certain race] aren’t people or should be enslaved, it’s just that I think that white people are inherently smarter” to make an effort of sounding more reasonable? It isn’t that I think the races in 5e are 1:1 parallels to real-world racist stereotypes. Instead, it’s a matter of philosophy, race-based pseudoscience, and ideology that makes 5e (and previous editions) racist, without major rules upheavals.
However, in some cases, it would require such an overhaul of a system that it isn’t worth it. Most people would look at the rules for 5e’s races and pale at the thought of changing it completely. Do you get rid of stats completely? Do you select whatever stats you want by yourself? Perhaps you instead get certain bonuses when you select your class, rather than your race? These are all possibilities, and I have played games that utilized some of these options. Aside from the strength of reducing the amount of racism in 5e, it also increases the amount of choice a player has when creating their character. It isn’t unheard of to have a dwarf that uses Dexterity and Charisma as it’s primary abilities, but it is poorly optimized in comparison to the options of Half-Elf or Tiefling, and though it takes a bit more work than just handing a player the PHB, I believe it is worth it in the end. There’s no shame in admitting defeat, though. It’s not every day that I feel like fixing another person’s game, and I design games. And I do it for fun. It is the talent I am blessed with, and my lifelong burden. I understand not wanting to put in the effort. However, my suggestion isn’t that you walk away from TTRPG forever, scorned by the problems in 5e, never to roll a die again. Instead, it might be worth your time looking into other systems of play. Whenever I recommend a system to someone who has only played 5e and is looking for a similar aesthetic, I always turn them toward my personal favorite, Dungeon World (abbreviated as DW). DW is, in many ways, the game that I thought I was playing when I first started playing 5e. Looking through the PHB, it seems very comprehensive to incoming players. But to go back to the example of Skyrim, there’s a suggestion when you start it for the first time that you are about to enter a world of endless possibility, only to be shoehorned into a game that directly prioritizes combat. Dungeon World, while it has far less comprehensive rules for combat, one of its biggest strengths is that it has far fewer rules in general. That isn’t to say that it’s harder to follow. Instead of having intense, complicated rules for combat, every moment in the game is subject to “moves” in which, when you say that your character is doing something, the GM - Game Master, in contrast to the Dungeon Master of 5e - can tell you that the outcome is uncertain, and that it might be difficult. When this happens, you roll two six-sided dice, and the game provides very comprehensive rules to help you resolve it. When you choose a race, you get one extra move and nothing else - an option easily alterable, if one finds it uncomfortable. Blades in the Dark, a similar fantasy system, resolves roles in a similar manner, once again, with a much lesser emphasis on violence, and a much stronger emphasis on magic heists. It’s races have no mechanical benefit, and can be completely ignored if so desired.
Creating a system is difficult, I know. Playtesting aside, it’s a combination of finding something special that you want to create, deciding what the players will be looking for, and editing draft after draft. It’s also difficult, both logistically and emotionally, to kick someone out of a campaign. It’s my belief though that a line should be drawn when someone in the game insists on adding not only social, but biological inferiority to characters of certain races. It’s a privilege to have your work at someone else’s table, and it’s a privilege that can be revoked. Once again, playing 5e isn’t some ethical failing, or mortal offence. However, it is worth evaluating what changes can be made to 5e’s race system, and if it’s worth it to you to not switch to another system. If you have found any of this compelling, consider your other options. In addition to what I’ve already mentioned, there are designers out there who can bring you into space, cities filled with dark magic and/or under control by cosmic monsters, or honey conventions where there are a few bears trying to steal stuff. Next time you get the urge to roleplay, just consider what I’ve said here, and think about who you’re inviting to your table.

* Education + Intelligence
Owen is smarter than he leads people to believe; mostly because it’s none of their business. Masrani Global and InGen’s Security Division spared no expense in hiring the most qualified animal handler for the job. INGEN’s genetically engineered raptors were complex, lethal animals with a rich history of maiming their creators on Isla Nublar. Victor Hoskins, head of INGEN’s Security Division, was not going to repeat Hammond’s mistake by hiring an unqualified warden. With Owen’s unique academic and military background, he was the only man qualified for the job.
He often dons a dry but easygoing persona. A little crude, a little unassuming. Assertive, and paradoxically noninvasive. As a veteran, transitioning into civilian life is complicated, at best. Painful, at worst. And it is easier when he makes every effort to seem harmless. At the end of his military career, he had no desire to be feared. With his past and extensive skill set, Owen is hardly normal, but he’d like to pretend to be.
When his military ranking reached E-5, Owen was eligible to attend the Special Operations Independent Duty Corpsman Course (SOIDC). SOIDC is a 24 week course  taught at an army installation in South Carolina. The course trains Petty Officers in advance medical skills. These skills are very broad, and include: surgery, anesthesia, nursing, dental, and veterinary. On clinical training, the students rotate through various departments: Obstetric/Gynecological, Emergency, Labor and Delivery, Surgery, Radiology, and Orthopedics. The courses were offered upon his rank promotion to Petty Officer, and Owen took them, having already received a comprehensive emergency first-aid course while undergoing qualifications training and SERE.
In addition to his training as a Navy SEAL and DEVGRU operator, Owen is an official animal behaviorist (specializing in Behavioral Ecology). Educated by the Office of Naval Research’s (ONR’s) Marine Mammal & Biology (MMB) program, in association with DARPA, he predominately studied and researched Marine Biology, Monitoring and Detection, Integrated Ecosystem Research, Effects of Sound on Marine Life, Behavioral Response Studies (BRS), Diving Physiology, Physiological Stress Response, and Population Consequences of Acoustic Disturbance (PCAD).
* Eidetic Memory
Owen has a fairly impressive eidetic memory, which allows him to have an almost faithful mental image of the event in his mind. For example, out of the approximately 50 persons he meets regularly and weekly, he can recall facial features right down to their blemishes, scars, eye color, hair color, and beauty marks; maybe around five different sets of clothing each have worn, as well as jewelry and tattoos. Details and events can be remembered with perfect clarity for up to five years. Essentially, it allowed him to be a very quick learner, picking up skills just by watching and carefully repeating the actions. Owen’s eidetic memory is extremely useful in memorizing schedules, maps, faces, numbers, memos, body language, and facial expressions.
He was always acutely aware of the person his attention was on. It nurtured his empathy, and shaped his emotional intelligence.
Owen’s memory is stronger with smells and visuals, and less potent with sounds and taste. While he can remember speeches and dialogue, he can not always remember the sound of a person’s voice after long periods of absence. He can recognize an animal by phenotypical features, but not always by the sounds they make. His eidetic memory is not perfect, but in certain aspects it is precise enough to be useful. Sherlock Holmes calls his mind an attic. Owen Grady calls his mind a packrat, eager to hoard information. Math and numbers were especially comforting for him, as it was a science that encompassed everything, from something as mundane as balancing a checkbook, to the more complex math in physics. Math was in everything. No matter what language, culture, or country, math remained the same.
As a boy, it was fairly difficult for him to concentrate, and he had had terrible studying skills due to the convenience of acute memorization. He would get bored easily due to an insatiable drive for new information, annoyingly curious, asked too many questions that Teachers were too lazy to answer. It alienated him from his peers. Most assignments felt repetitive to him. His particularities made it rather difficult to socialize. He often came off as a know-it-all, and even bossy. “He only thinks he’s smarter,” Claire Dearing had said about him.
Owen is unapologetic about his own intellect, now. But he is not the bragging type. Too solitary. Too private. He did not enjoy school, but the work was not objectively difficult. Socializing was the only part he did not always succeed at. It was only when he joined the wrestling team in high school that he actually made some progress, enjoying the rigorous exercising and functional teamwork.
He can remember very specific details of memories with family and loved ones, but understandably they did not always remember, in turn… which was initially hurtful during his developmental stages as a child, before he understood that his personal experience with memory was not common. But he had help from his grandfather, who had raised Owen’s similarly-minded mother. Owen learned from a very early age to mentally compartmentalize and organize his behavior in order to manage his very particular memorization skills.

An organized(?) collection of my headcanons on Skarlet's personality/psychology. Cut for length. Contradictions are natural as people habitually contradict their own psychology and declared values based on context and other external factors, and you can never 100% predict someone’s behavior.
As always, DO NOT steal my headcanons.

[ THE BIG FIVE + SUBCATEGORIES ]
(results taken from test that can be found here)
► Extraversion - 97th percentile -  You are extremely high in extraversion. Extraverts are sociable, like to take risks, and feel lots of positive emotions. The six facets of extraversion are:
▷ Activity - 98nd percentile -  You prefer extremely high levels of activity, such as being on the go and staying busy.               ▷ Assertiveness - 91st percentile -   There're extremely high chances that you'll take charge and lead others.              ▷ Cheerfulness - 33rd percentile -   You experience low levels of happiness, joy, and other positive emotions.              ▷ Excitement Seeking - 92th percentile -   You like to seek extremely high levels of thrills.              ▷ Friendliness - 99st percentile -   You're extremely high in your desire to be around other people and show an interest in their lives.              ▷ Gregariousness - 91th percentile -   You're extremely high in flocking toward other people and being talkative and sociable around them.
► Agreeableness - 17th percentile -   You are very low in agreeableness. Highly agreeable people tend to do whatever it takes to have positive relationships with other people. The six facets of agreeableness are:
▷ Altruism - 91st percentile -   You are extremely high in generally wanting to be good to other people, including helping them when they need it.             ▷ Cooperation - 4th percentile -   There are extremely low chances that you'll try to get along with other people.             ▷ Modesty - 14th percentile -   You have very low levels of modesty. Modest people don't like to brag or show off, because those types of behaviors can be harmful to relationships.             ▷ Morality - 11th percentile -   Sticking to the rules and treating everyone fairly is of very low value to you.             ▷ Sympathy - 64th percentile -   You have high levels of sympathy for other people, which includes caring about them and wanting what's best for them.             ▷ Trust - 6th percentile -   You're extremely low in believing that other people are generally good and not out to harm you.
► Conscientiousness - 57th percentile -   You are about average in conscientiousness. Highly conscientious people are diligent, hard-working, and responsible. The six facets of conscientiousness are:
▷ Achievement Striving - 78th percentile -   You have very high desires to work hard and get ahead.            ▷ Cautiousness - 4th percentile -   The odds are extremely high that you'll just jump into things without really thinking them through. You spend extremely low amounts of time planning what to do.            ▷ Dutifulness - 33rd percentile -   You're low in sticking to your word, keeping your promises, and upholding your obligations.            ▷ Orderliness - 16th percentile -   You prefer very low levels of cleanliness and order in your environment.            ▷ Self-Discipline - 95th percentile -   You have extremely high self-discipline—which is the ability to get to work quickly, stay focused, and avoid distractions or procrastination.            ▷ Self-Efficacy - 92nd percentile -   When you need to do something, you have extremely high ability to get it done and do it well (or maybe more accurately, you believe that your ability is extremely high).
► Neuroticism - 44th percentile -   You are about average in neuroticism, which means that you experience about average levels of negative emotions, like anger, fear, and stress. The six facets of neuroticism are:
▷ Anger - 61st percentile -   Your levels of anger and irritability are high.           ▷ Anxiety - 29th percentile -   Compared with other people, you have low stress, fears, and worries about the future.           ▷ Depression - 78th percentile -   This is NOT "clinical depression." This score simply tells you that, compared with other people, you feel very high amounts of sadness and like yourself to a very low degree.           ▷ Immoderation - 90th percentile -   You have extremely low self-control when it comes to resisting temptations; there are very high chances that you'll give into your desires and binge (on shopping, eating, drinking, or whatever your vices are). Note that self-discipline (a facet of conscientiousness) deals with your ability to focus your attention on accomplishing goals, whereas immoderation refers to your ability to resist temptations.           ▷ Self-Consciousness - 5th percentile -   You like to draw extremely high levels of attention to yourself, and feel extremely low amounts of unease when interacting with others socially (especially strangers).           ▷ Vulnerability - 21st percentile -   The chances that you'll be overwhelmed by difficult circumstances are very low. Notice that this is different from anxiety (which refers to general stress- and fear-proneness) and self-efficacy (a facet of conscientiousness that reflects your confidence in your ability to accomplish tasks). Vulnerability specifically refers to your propensity to feel overwhelmed by difficult situations.
► Openness to Experience - 99th percentile -   You are extremely high in openness to experience. Openness is a broad, diffuse personality dimension with many seemingly very different facets. In general, highly open people like a variety of new experiences, whether physical, emotional, intellectual, or cultural. The six facets of openness are:
▷ Adventurousness - 89th percentile -   Your prefer very high amounts of variety and new experiences in your life (i.e., you have very high openness to new experiences).          ▷ Artistic Interests - 96th percentile -   You have extremely high love for art, music, and culture (i.e., you have extremely high openness to aesthetic experiences).          ▷ Emotionality - 97th percentile -   Your attunement to your own and others' emotions is extremely high. Whereas cheerfulness and excitement seeking (facets of extraversion) capture your propensity to feel positive emotions and neuroticism captures your propensity to feel negative emotions, emotionality refers to your overall openness to/desire to truly feel emotions.          ▷ Imagination - 95th percentile -   You have extremely high imagination (i.e., you have extremely high openness to experiences of the imagination).          ▷ Intellect - 90th percentile -   Your desire to play with ideas, reflect on philosophical concepts, and have deep discussions is very high (i.e., you have very high openness to intellectual experiences).          ▷ Liberalism - 71st percentile -   Your political liberalism is high (conversely, your political conservatism is low). This is a facet of openness to experience because liberals tend to desire progressive change, whereas conservatives tend to prefer less political change.

[ ZODIAC | SCORPIO ]
( all information is compiled from these three sites  1  |  2  |  3  )
► Strengths: resourceful, brave, passionate, stubborn, magnetic, passionate, loyal, protective, trendsetting ► Weaknesses:  distrusting, jealous, secretive, violent, obsessive, possessive, vengeful, manipulative ► Scorpio likes:  truth, facts, being right, longtime friends, teasing, a grand passion, underground music, spicy food, an air of danger, one-of-a-kind objects, wireless devices, organic ingredients, vinyl ► Scorpio dislikes:  dishonesty, revealing secrets, passive people, simple-minded people, insincere flattery, personal questions, living at someone else’s house ► Ruling Planet: Pluto, Mars ► Element: Water ► How to Spot Them: intense eyes, a hawk-like gaze, smooth movements ► Where You’ll Find Them: in the studio producing a platinum album, sitting at the corner table of an underground bar, taking things apart and figuring how to put them back together again ► Keywords: Intimacy, Sex, Secrecy, Power, Intensity, Obsession
Passionate, independent, and unafraid to blaze their own trail no matter what others think, Scorpios make a statement wherever they go. They love debates, aren't afraid of controversy, and won't back down from a debate. They also hate people who aren't genuine, and are all about being authentic—even if authentic isn't pretty.
Because of all of these traits, a Scorpio can seem intimidating and somewhat closed off to those who don't know them well. But what people don't realize is that even though Scorpio may seem brusque, as a water sign, they also are very in tune with their emotions, and sometimes may find themselves caught up in their feelings.
This leads to Scorpio's central conflict: Their feelings are what drives them and strengthens them, but their mutability can scare them and make them feel vulnerable and out of control. Because of this conflict, Scorpios, like their namesake, the scorpion, put up an outer shell and may seem prickly.
But once people get beyond the shell, they find a loyal, loving person whose passion knows no bounds. Scorpio dives into all life has to offer with 110% enthusiasm. A Scorpio will be your most loyal friend, most dedicated employee—and your worst enemy, if they want to be.
LOVE + SEX
Scorpio is the most sensual sign of the zodiac. Scorpios are extremely passionate and intimacy is very important to them. They want intelligent and honest partners. Once Scorpios fall in love, they are very dedicated and faithful. However, they enter into a relationship very carefully, because sometimes they need a lot of time to build trust and respect for partners.
In love, Scorpio can seem cautious at first, and may set up a series of "tests" for their potential partner, deciding to cross them off their list if they don't meet their demands. The trouble is, they tend to keep their partner out of the loop on what, exactly, they want, making their partner feel like they have to play mind reader. If a Scorpio and their partner can get past this initial hurdle, the connection will be intense, in both highs and lows. A Scorpio will love harder and fight harder than any other sign, and wants their partner to be absolutely honest. They will be—even if it's not what the partner wants to hear. In the bedroom, Scorpio is generous, imaginative, and always up for anything—all night long.
The Scorpio personality is both complex and fascinating. Scorpio women are secretive, sexy, magnetic, but they also appear aloof and calm. The Scorpio woman has a great capacity for kindness and a desire to do good in the world. If you want to seduce her, you have to be patient and willing to let her take the reins of the relationship. Be a good listener and pay full attention when she is speaking. Dating with a Scorpio woman can be really entertaining, but do not let her wild side fool you into thinking that she will be an easy conquest. Don't expect a sexual encounter with the Scorpio woman on the first date.
Earning her love requires a lot of time and patience, but once she falls in love, she will give everything to the relationship. The woman born under the Scorpio zodiac sign can be very possessive but also completely devoted partners. Be honest and avoid getting into arguments with her, because she is not the type to forgive and forget easily. The woman born under the Scorpio star sign is curious, so in order to keep her happy, you will need to find new ways to satisfy her curiosity. If you can allow her to retain her pride, she will respect you for it and will fall in love with you quickly.
FRIENDS + FAMILY
Honesty and fairness are the two qualities that make Scorpio a great friend. People born under the Scorpio sign are very dedicated and loyal, when it comes to working. They are quick-witted and intelligent, so they would feel better to be in the company of witty and fun loving people. They are full of surprises and will give you everything you need, but if you let them down once - there's no return. Scorpios are very emotional, when they are in pain, it is simply impossible to make them feel better. They are very dedicated and they take good care of their family.
CAREER + MONEY
Scorpios are fantastic in management, solving and creating. When a Scorpio sets a goal, there is no giving up. Scorpios are great in solving tasks that require a scientific and thorough approach. Their ability to focus with determination makes them very capable managers. They never mix business with friendship.Jobs such as a scientist, physician, researcher, sailor, detective, cop, business manager and psychologist are appropriate for this powerful zodiac sign. Scorpio respects other people, so expects to be respected in return. Scorpios are disciplined enough to stick to the budget, but they are also not afraid of hard work to bring themselves in a better financial position. However, they are not inclined to spend much. Money means security and a sense of control for them, which means that they are good at saving money and make decisions carefully before investing in something.

[ MORAL ALIGNMENT | CHAOTIC NEUTRAL ]
( information from this site ; read more here )
A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. A chaotic neutral character does not intentionally disrupt organizations as part of a campaign of anarchy. To do so, he would have to be motivated either by good (and a desire to liberate others) or evil (and a desire to make those different from himself suffer). A chaotic neutral character may be unpredictable, but his behavior is not totally random. He is not as likely to jump off a bridge as to cross it. Chaotic neutral is the best alignment you can be because it represents true freedom from both society's restrictions and a do-gooder's zeal. Chaotic neutral can be a dangerous alignment when it seeks to eliminate all authority, harmony, and order in society.
Chaotic neutral characters believe that there is no order to anything, including their own actions. With this as a guiding principle, they tend to follow whatever whim strikes them at the moment. Good and evil are irrelevant when making a decision. Chaotic neutral characters are extremely difficult to deal with. Such characters have been known to cheerfully and for no apparent purpose gamble away everything they have on the roll of a single die. They are almost totally unreliable. In fact, the only reliable thing about them is that they cannot be relied upon!
Chaotic neutral characters like to indulge in everything. This is the insurgent, the con-man, gambler, and high roller; the uncommitted freebooter seeking nothing more than self-gratification. This type of character will at least consider doing anything if they can find enjoyment or amusement. Life has meaning, but theirs has the greatest meaning. According to chaotic neutrals, laws and rules infringe on personal freedom and were meant to be broken. This character is always looking for the best deal, and will work with good, neutral, or evil to get it; as long as he comes out of the situation on top. The chaotic neutral is constantly teetering between good and evil, rebelling, and bending the law to fit his needs.
Chaotic neutrals can also be completely random and unpredictable. They may shift allegiances at a moment's notice, or remain with a leader for years. The chaotic neutral character feels that there is no plan at all for the universe. Things just happen. They tend to believe in luck and chance, rather than fate or destiny. They don't care what happens to others, yet will not necessarily go out of their way to harm others. If someone stands in the way of their happiness, they may kill that individual or move on to something else. Their priorities tend to change as they experience new things in life. They may even appear to adhere to another alignment for some length of time, only to switch at an inappropriate moment. They can be the worst tricksters, conning people, not for gain, but for sheer amusement. The chaotic neutral may not be driven by fame or wealth, but may only take actions just to see what happens.

[ TEMPERAMENT | SANGUINE ]
( results taken from test that can be found here )
Your temperament is sanguine. The sanguine temperament is fundamentally spontaneous and pleasure-seeking; sanguine people are sociable and charismatic. They tend to enjoy social gatherings, making new friends and tend to be boisterous. They are usually quite creative and often daydream. However, some alone time is crucial for those of this temperament. Sanguine can also mean sensitive, compassionate and thoughtful. Sanguine personalities generally struggle with following tasks all the way through, are chronically late, and tend to be forgetful and sometimes a little sarcastic. Often, when they pursue a new hobby, they lose interest as soon as it ceases to be engaging or fun. They are very much people persons. They are talkative and not shy. Sanguines generally have an almost shameless nature, certain that what they are doing is right. They have no lack of confidence.

[ ENNEAGRAM | TYPE 4 WING 3 ]
( information from this site ; read more here )
Fours are self-aware, sensitive, and reserved. They are emotionally honest, creative, and personal, but can also be moody and self-conscious. Withholding themselves from others due to feeling vulnerable and defective, they can also feel disdainful and exempt from ordinary ways of living. They typically have problems with melancholy, self-indulgence, and self-pity. At their Best: inspired and highly creative, they are able to renew themselves and transform their experiences.
► Basic Fear: That they have no identity or personal significance ► Basic Desire: To find themselves and their significance (to create an identity) ► Enneagram Four with a Three-Wing: "The Aristocrat" ► Enneagram Four with a Five-Wing: "The Bohemian" ► Key Motivations: Want to express themselves and their individuality, to create and surround themselves with beauty, to maintain certain moods and feelings, to withdraw to protect their self-image, to take care of emotional needs before attending to anything else, to attract a "rescuer."
We have named this type The Individualist because Fours maintain their identity by seeing themselves as fundamentally different from others. Fours feel that they are unlike other human beings, and consequently, that no one can understand them or love them adequately. They often see themselves as uniquely talented, possessing special, one-of-a-kind gifts, but also as uniquely disadvantaged or flawed. More than any other type, Fours are acutely aware of and focused on their personal differences and deficiencies.
Healthy Fours are honest with themselves: they own all of their feelings and can look at their motives, contradictions, and emotional conflicts without denying or whitewashing them. They may not necessarily like what they discover, but they do not try to rationalize their states, nor do they try to hide them from themselves or others. They are not afraid to see themselves “warts and all.” Healthy Fours are willing to reveal highly personal and potentially shameful things about themselves because they are determined to understand the truth of their experience—so that they can discover who they are and come to terms with their emotional history. This ability also enables Fours to endure suffering with a quiet strength. Their familiarity with their own darker nature makes it easier for them to process painful experiences that might overwhelm other types.
Nevertheless, Fours often report that they feel they are missing something in themselves, although they may have difficulty identifying exactly what that “something” is. Is it will power? Social ease? Self-confidence? Emotional tranquility?—all of which they see in others, seemingly in abundance. Given time and sufficient perspective, Fours generally recognize that they are unsure about aspects of their self-image—their personality or ego-structure itself. They feel that they lack a clear and stable identity, particularly a social persona that they feel comfortable with.
While it is true that Fours often feel different from others, they do not really want to be alone. They may feel socially awkward or self-conscious, but they deeply wish to connect with people who understand them and their feelings. The “romantics” of the Enneagram, they long for someone to come into their lives and appreciate the secret self that they have privately nurtured and hidden from the world. If, over time, such validation remains out of reach, Fours begin to build their identity around how unlike everyone else they are. The outsider therefore comforts herself by becoming an insistent individualist: everything must be done on her own, in her own way, on her own terms. Fours’ mantra becomes “I am myself. Nobody understands me. I am different and special,” while they secretly wish they could enjoy the easiness and confidence that others seem to enjoy.
Fours typically have problems with a negative self-image and chronically low self-esteem. They attempt to compensate for this by cultivating a Fantasy Self—an idealized self-image which is built up primarily in their imaginations. A Four we know shared with us that he spent most of his spare time listening to classical music while fantasizing about being a great concert pianist—à la Vladimir Horowitz. Unfortunately, his commitment to practicing fell far short of his fantasized self-image, and he was often embarrassed when people asked him to play for them. His actual abilities, while not poor, became sources of shame.
In the course of their lives, Fours may try several different identities on for size, basing them on styles, preferences, or qualities they find attractive in others. But underneath the surface, they still feel uncertain about who they really are. The problem is that they base their identity largely on their feelings. When Fours look inward they see a kaleidoscopic, ever-shifting pattern of emotional reactions. Indeed, Fours accurately perceive a truth about human nature—that it is dynamic and ever changing. But because they want to create a stable, reliable identity from their emotions, they attempt to cultivate only certain feelings while rejecting others. Some feelings are seen as “me,” while others are “not me.” By attempting to hold on to specific moods and express others, Fours believe that they are being true to themselves.
One of the biggest challenges Fours face is learning to let go of feelings from the past; they tend to nurse wounds and hold onto negative feelings about those who have hurt them. Indeed, Fours can become so attached to longing and disappointment that they are unable to recognize the many treasures in their lives.
There is a Sufi story that relates to this about an old dog that had been badly abused and was near starvation. One day, the dog found a bone, carried it to a safe spot, and started gnawing away. The dog was so hungry that it chewed on the bone for a long time and got every last bit of nourishment that it could out of it. After some time, a kind old man noticed the dog and its pathetic scrap and began quietly setting food out for it. But the poor hound was so attached to its bone that it refused to let go of it and soon starved to death.
Fours are in the same predicament. As long as they believe that there is something fundamentally wrong with them, they cannot allow themselves to experience or enjoy their many good qualities. To acknowledge their good qualities would be to lose their sense of identity (as a suffering victim) and to be without a relatively consistent personal identity (their Basic Fear). Fours grow by learning to see that much of their story is not true—or at least it is not true any more. The old feelings begin to fall away once they stop telling themselves their old tale: it is irrelevant to who they are right now.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Tumblr media
Kugane Dweller: Where Ritsuka came from before ascending the ranks quickly within the bakufu’s offices it unknown to most. Support for him is split. Elder traditionalists are against a foreigner having the power he does but those that work with the miqo’te know that his managerial skills and intellect are a boon especially as Hingashi opens more and more to the outside world once more.
————— ♦ • ♦ —————
RP HOOKS
Diplomat - Though he’s ascended above a simple clerk’s level within the last few moons, Ritsuka frequently meets with foreign businesses and contract-holders establishing themselves in Kugane and Hingashi as a whole.
Shop Owner - Though his government work keeps him into the long hours, Ritsuka does enjoy working at his modest flower shop with Saeha. The open hours are erratic but all of his wares are fairly priced and excellently tended to.
Lurker of the Night - Ritsuka isn’t above getting his hands dirty or using tricks to get what he needs. Trained in shinobi arts, he slinks about the city’s high roofs on most nights. Though he tends to avoid confrontation on these lil missions, he’s capable of defending himself when needed.
(spoilers) Those with ties with Limsan pirates may know of him. The brothel he born into tattoos all of their slaves and Ritsuka is still marked on the inside of his forearms with the Serpent Sons’ black serpent sigil. He usually keeps them covered with long sleeves or leather bracers.
(spoilers) Dwellers of Limsa Lominsa that attended high class parties may have seen Ritsuka perform. As the top earner of The Pearl, he was frequently rented out to nobles’ parties as a dancer, entertainer, and company in both a more proper role and more risque ones depending on the atmosphere. He’s been gone from that life for six years now.
Tumblr media
————— ♦ • ♦ ————— —
LOOKING FOR
Long-term relationships. Not necessarily romantic. Ritsuka is very difficult to get through to beyond casual meetings so I do warn that it will take time and patience. I’m unwilling to compromise his character but things can be discussed OoC if needed. I’m quite open to that, in fact!
Try to woo him if you will but you’d likely be met with an annoyed glare.
Information-trading, contract work is something he can take on the side if paid well enough but he will be primarily concerned with his own safety first.
Mature/violent/political RP are all on the table. ERP is going to most likely be a ‘no.’ Though Ritsuka uses his body to get what he needs, he doesn’t sleep around just for fun. It’s simply another tool to use.
Discord and in-game are both welcome.

I’ve seen some zodiac/astrology traits posts for HPHM MCs which I’ve enjoyed and also really wanted to do myself so...
Adeyln-Keira Black: February 11, 1973 - Aquarius
Element: Air
Quality: Fixed
Color: Light-Blue, Silver
Day: Saturday
Ruler: Uranus, Saturn
Greatest Overall Compatibility: Leo, Sagittarius – Jacob is a Leo, Bill and Charlie are Sagittarius (Idk when anyone else’s birthdays are)
Lucky Numbers: 4, 7, 11, 22, 29 – Her birthday is the 11 (anniversary had been planned for Jan 29)
Date range: January 20 - February 18
AQUARIUS TRAITS
Strengths: Progressive, original, independent, humanitarian
Weaknesses: Runs from emotional expression, temperamental, uncompromising, aloof – ahahaha the accuracy of running from emotional expression! Yeah, she’s pretty stubborn and likes to be right
Aquarius likes: Fun with friends, helping others, fighting for causes, intellectual conversation, a good listener – literally yes to all of this
Aquarius dislikes: Limitations, broken promises, being lonely, dull or boring situations, people who disagree with them – she actually likes her alone time but being alone and being lonely are technically different things so… sure? (Oh there’s more below that proves this!); Yeah she likes to be right
Aquarius-born are shy and quiet, but on the other hand they can be eccentric and energetic. However, in both cases, they are deep thinkers and highly intellectual people who love helping others. They are able to see without prejudice, on both sides, which makes them people who can easily solve problems.
Although they can easily adapt to the energy that surrounds them, Aquarius-born have a deep need to be some time alone and away from everything, in order to restore power. People born under the Aquarius sign, look at the world as a place full of possibilities.- Idk about that, especially at the moment with Jacob and everything, pretty pessimistic
Aquarius is an air sign, and as such, uses his mind at every opportunity. If there is no mental stimulation, they are bored and lack a motivation to achieve the best result.
The ruling planet of Aquarius, Uranus has a timid, abrupt and sometimes aggressive nature, but it also gives Aquarius visionary quality. They are capable of perceiving the future and they know exactly what they want to be doing five or ten years from now. – she will cut a bitch and punch you in the throat!
Uranus also gave them the power of quick and easy transformation (animagus? =p), so they are known as thinkers, progressives and humanists. They feel good in a group or a community, so they constantly strive to be surrounded by other people.
The biggest problem for Aquarius-born is the feeling that they are limited or constrained. Because of the desire for freedom and equality for all, they will always strive to ensure freedom of speech and movement. Aquarius-born have a reputation for being cold and insensitive persons, but this is just their defense mechanism against premature intimacy. They need to learn to trust others and express their emotions in a healthy way. – Call out to my MC!
AQUARIUS LOVE AND SEX
Intellectual stimulation is by far the greatest aphrodisiac for Aquarius. There's nothing that can attract an Aquarius more than an interesting conversation with a person. Openness, communication, imagination and willingness to risk are the qualities that fit well in the perspective of life of this zodiac sign. Their compatibility with other signs can be complex, Integrity and honesty are essential for anyone who wants a long-term relationship with this dynamic person. In love, they are loyal, committed and not at all possessive - they give independence to their partners and consider them as equals. – She may be a bit possessive though… maybe protective is a better word for it?
AQUARIUS FRIENDS AND FAMILY
Although Aquarius-born are communicative, they need time to get close to people. Considering that they are highly sensitive people, closeness to them means vulnerability.
Their immediacy behavior combined with their strong views, makes them a challenge to meet. Aquarius will do anything for a loved one to the point of self-sacrifice if necessary.
Their friends should possess these three qualities: creativity, intellect and integrity. When it comes to family, their expectations are nothing less. Although they have a sense of duty to relatives, they will not maintain close ties if the same expectations as in friendship are not fulfilled.
Aquarius – Fixed Quality
The sign of Aquarius belongs to the element of Air, and its fixed quality is probably the most difficult to understand. It comes with the middle of winter and stands for the coldest time of year. In a way, this is a combination that speaks of hibernation and preparation to wake up from a long sleep. This might be the best image to depict an Aquarius. Air never stops, it moves quicker than anyone else, and when it is fixed, it seems to be trapped in its movements without the ability to ever stop. This explains the stress and limit breaking of all Aquarians, as well as their need to fight the system and anything that takes control over their activities.
And because I find Birthday Horoscopes interesting…
February 11th Persona Profile
People born specifically on the 11th of February are believed to have a charismatic, bright and authoritative temperament. This sits alongside the wonderful typical Aquarian imagination and friendliness. The ruling astrological planet for this particular day is the Moon giving you evenly balanced views and priorities. If you have this birthday the ability to harmonize your life without losing focus of your ambitions and responsibilities will be strong. – She’s going to find her brother, be Quidditch Captain, win a World Cup, become Prefect, and graduate with high marks!
You are also quite competitive and socially aware for a water bearer and will generally take life's little disappointments with much resilience. Your lightheartedness is just the right amount to offset your sometimes too serious nature. Individuals with a February the eleventh birthday are friendly, warm, loyal and hardworking with a good sense of direction. Although you are fairly instinctive in your approach to life this perception does not always extend to emotional situations. – Idk about friendly, she comes off as pretty cold before getting to know her and getting close; not sure about a good sense of direction, she has no idea what to do after Hogwarts; but very competitive and has a good sense of humor to balance out her also serious, and admittedly dramatic, nature.
February 11th Personal Relationships
For an Aquarian, the person born on the eleventh day of February is not unusual in their partner preferences of both a friend and a lover. You will ordinarily get bored very quickly with any personal relationship that is mostly physical. (– Doesn’t care much for physical contact.) To you, especially when you are younger, romance is often regarded in second place to your other objectives. (– Absolutely!) A single status seems to suit you for quite a while as you enjoy its freedoms but you will eventually long for the security of a long term love union. In a soul mate you seek someone who can fulfill your ideals of an ultimate body and mind closeness and trust. They must be understanding of your ambitious motivations and be able to appeal to, and reason with, your intellectual side. Committing to a romantic partnership may be difficult but you do it wholeheartedly and will be totally devoted once betrothed to another.
February 11th Strengths and Weaknesses
The strongest parts of your character are probably in your inventive thought, helpfulness and humble appreciation. These strengths make you a popular individual who appears to be highly resourceful (hello, Slytherin!) and admirably equal in their give and take allocation. Identifiable personality weaknesses for those born on February 11th are your tendencies to be occasionally excessive or insensitive. These negative idiosyncrasies occur most often when you are completely absorbed in something. You are also likely to get rather grumpy if you are distracted during one of your periods of creative thought as it disrupts the flow. – Don’t throw off her groove!

For your OCs: what plans, if any, do they have for the future? What are their favourite subjects and hobbies? What scares them? What are their senses of humour like? Where do they feel most safe? If they had a tumblr, what would they post about? What are their home lives like? What things do they find comforting? What are their tastes in films/books/music?
Okay, let me see if I can answer all of these!
Adam: He’s not too sure what his future plans are, but he’s really into photography and theater. He’s mainly focused on just graduating high school right now. He hasn’t taken it yet, but he’s anxiously waiting to take a drama class. He also likes English, and he sneaks into Melly’s art class sometimes. His mother scares him, and he scares himself often with dark thoughts. Sometimes, Rocket scares him, but in a “i’m worried about you” way. Adam once had a sense of humor, but he lost when he tried to kill himself. He’s slowly getting it back by hanging out with Rocket and Melly. Adam feels most safe with Rocket and Melly. Adam does have a tumblr, and he reblogs encouraging messages and photos from Melly’s tumblr. Adam comes from a religious family, hence the name referencing “Adam and Eve”. His mother was low-key the one who first encouraged Adam to try and take his life, so he doesn’t like being home much. He finds comfort in Rocket and Melly, and he also likes going to this small park that has a gap in a cluster of trees that leads to a small pond. Adam doesn’t watch many movies or TV because of his mom. He reads a lot and enjoys fantasy because he likes to escape from reality for a while. He mainly listens to theater music, but he will occasionally dabble in pop music if he hears something from Melly that he likes.
Rocket: Rocket never thinks about his future. He’s got scouts calling and emailing him all the time for baseball scholarships, but he just doesn’t care. He only likes baseball because he likes throwing things, and he likes the brief feeling of release when he throws a pitch. His favorite subjects are whatever classes Adam are in. Rocket is a natural intellect, so he doesn’t have to try in his courses. So, he sneaks into Sophomore classes with Adam a lot. His hobbies include guitar and Adam. There’s too much to list that scares Rocket, but he holds his own, making it seem as if he’s fearless. But, he’s primarily afraid of life. Rocket can easily be pegged as both the “class clown” and the “mystery boy”. He’s got a great sense of humor and can have the whole room laughing if he feels up to it. His biggest gag is mocking Wesley, and Wesley lets it slide with a tired laugh. Rocket feels safest with Melly and Adam. Rocket doesn’t have a tumblr because he thinks social media is stupid, but he’s always sneaking onto Adam’s tumblr. Rocket’s home life is ordinary. He’s got a dad and mom who are both supportive of whatever he chooses, but the two constantly worry about his reckless behavior, that often involves drugs in some way. Rocket finds comfort in Adam and Melly and weed, and he’s got a sporadic taste in films. He’s not much of a reader; he usually only reads what Adam’s reading so he can understand what Adam is talking about. And, he enjoys rock music and indie music.
Melly: Melly wants to travel the world and paint plus sizes ladies. She wants to break the mold that only skinny is pretty. Her favorite subjects are art, and her main hobby is art, but she dabbles in modeling when she’s feeling up to it. She’s fairly fearless, so if she expresses fear, it’s in the form of worry when Rocket seems like he may fly off the deep end. Melly is sassy and sarcastic, so she’s always spitting out sarcastic one-liners that has everyone either annoyed or rolling with laughter, but she’s never saying them to make people laugh. Melly feels the most safe either with Rocket or when painting. Melly’s tumblr is filled with her art pieces as well as pictures of pretty people, including herself. Melly has great parents and a younger brother and sister, who are twins. Her dad travels for his work, but her mom is there and supports her to the best of her ability. She finds comfort mainly in painting, and because she paints so often, she doesn’t have time to watch many movies or read. She will listen to just about anything music wise, but she’s got a soft spot for current pop songs.
Wesley: Wesley wants to take baseball all the way. He wants to go to an Ivy League college and play baseball. From there, he wants to go pro. He doesn’t really have a favorite subject, but he would be lying if he said he wasn’t slightly looking forward to his senior drama class. His hobbies are centered on baseball, and while he enjoys writing, he doesn’t have much time for it. Wesley has a strong fear of failure; that’s why he’s always pushing himself to succeed in everything. Wesley doesn’t have a sense of humor; he’s too busy making sure his team is doing what they should be and making sure he’s doing what he should be. Though, Rocket has gotten him to laugh a few times. Wesley feels safest on the field with a bat in his hand. Wesley simply doesn’t have time for tumblr. Wesley’s parents are the primary reason he’s afraid of failing. They are very pushy. Wesley finds comfort in baseball. He likes historic films; he doesn’t read for leisure because he doesn’t have time, and he likes to listen to classic rock.

35 - 40 dazai. 41 -45 chuuya
get inside their head , detailed headcanons
osamu ,
35. what activities do they enjoy but mostly consider to be a waste of time?
there aren’t especially many activities or hobbies that he enjoys or participates in during his spare time aside from, perhaps, reading  ( he’s incredibly well read and enjoys a wide variety of genres, though he’s especially partial to nonfiction, horror, and mystery ) and listening to music; the latter of which he does tend view as being a waste of time--- unless, of course, he listens while doing something else, which he usually does.
36. what makes them feel guilty?
dazai’s actually quite a pro at dissociating himself from his feelings because of feelings like guilt which he feels can become something of a nuisance when ruminated on for too long. though his mind is frequently running a mile a minute, gears incessantly turning, he does his best to force his emotions back, to drown them out and to bury the more... distracting thoughts. though, in truth, there isn’t too much that he feels genuinely guilty for  ( even when taking into account all of the brutal and horrific things that he’s done over the years ).  perhaps, there is some culpability for oda’s death, for being unable to save him, and for at least part of chuuya’s seemingly depthless rage  ( due to his betrayal ).  but otherwise---
37. thoughts on privacy? are they a private person or are they prone to ‘tmi’?
although he has a tendency to act as if he’s an open book, he rarely, if ever, speaks of himself, of his own personal thoughts and feelings, keeping them locked deep, deep within. furthermore, he, in himself, is a walking perennial facade; rarely can anything that he says or does be taken at face value, because he’s a terrifyingly exceptional liar, has mastered the arts of both manipulation and deflection, and is impossible to read unless, for whatever reason, he wants to be read  ( which is incredibly rare ).  and, oftentimes, even when he is being open, honest, he speaks with such an air of jest that it’s incredibly difficult to decipher the meaning behind his words, to tell that he is, in fact, being truthful. in other words, he’s incredibly, incredibly private.
38. what recharges them when they’re feeling drained?
isolation, sleep--- in all honestly, that’s about it. he needs to be alone, he needs time to think and to reflect in private or to pop in a pair of headphones, kick back, and block the rest of the world out for a while  ( in the hopes that he does, that he can, fall asleep, which doesn’t often come easily ).
39. would they say they have a superiority complex? inferiority complex? neither?
well, he certainly doesn’t feel inferior, i can’t solidly say that much right out of the gate. dazai has his faults and he’s aware of them, but he also knows how high his level of intelligence / intellect is, he knows that his ability renders nearly all others entirely useless, he knows how useful that he genuinely is and in numerous regards. he’s extremely confident  ( not cocky, however, even if he may occasionally act the part ).  at times, yes... perhaps he may believe himself to be slightly superior to others, but he wouldn’t say that he has any sort of complex. he’s never once believed himself to be above everyone, he’s never once viewed himself as being perfect, not in any light, in any regard.
40. how misanthropic are they?
not very. while he generally keeps to himself  ( outside of work and personal interest related endeavors ),  he doesn’t go out of his way to avoid people, nor anyone in particular, really, aside from, perhaps, chuuya. he also has no particular feelings of dislike, let along loathing, for humankind. he bears a lot of complicated thoughts and emotions, but that certainly isn’t among them.
chuuya ,
41. hobbies?
he likes to drink  ( not overly frequently and never in excess, namely because he’s something of a lightweight ),  and socially. he also enjoys knife throwing  ( and he’s quite skilled ),  practices mixed martial arts, enjoys fighting and sparring, likes listening to music  ( his preferred genres are rock and alternative ),  and, occasionally reads.
42. how far did they get in formal education? what are their views on formal education verses self-education?
to be perfectly honest, he can’t even remember ever being enrolled in school. granted, he can’t remember much of anything prior to the arahabaki merger  ( his memories prior to the age of seven just... don’t exist ). so, he’s never really had much of what you’d call a formal education at all. everything that he’s learned has either been self taught, picked up during his time spent aligned with sheep, or learned from his experience working for the port mafia. as a result, he’s fairly adamant in that formal education isn’t necessary, not unless you’re planning on going into a line of work where that sort of thing  ( along with the certificates or degrees that come with it )  is needed for employment.
43. religion?
conflicted--- agnostic, perhaps. he doesn’t quite believe in the idea of any sort of all might deity who’s gone and created the universe and all of the stars and planets and creatures within it, but he also can’t say with absolute surety that nothing exists, not before life and not after death. who’s to say there isn’t a heaven or hell, who’s to say that reincarnation doesn’t exist? certainly not him. and he isn’t about to shirk the idea of gods altogether when arahabaki in itself is a god, one of calamity and destruction.
44. superstitions or views on the occult?
he doesn’t particularly have many thoughts on the occult; things such as magic or the supernatural or what have you. he is, however, a touch superstitious. not very  ( he isn’t going to be bothered by a broken mirror, or accidentally walking beneath a ladder, or anything of that nature ),  but he does subconsciously find himself avoiding certain habits or actions. for example, he won’t open an umbrella indoors, he has, on occasion, knocked on wood, and even if he claims not to put much belief in the occult, he’d certainly never use a ouija board because you just never know.
45. do they express their thoughts through words or deeds?
he expresses his annoyance, or frustration, or anger through words, but--- ultimately, through deeds. he’s a prime example of actions speak louder than words as his behaviors, the decisions that he makes and the actions that he takes, frequently contradict the words that come out of his mouth. now, he isn’t much one for physical gestures of affection and intimacy, nor is he the sort to splurge on gifts for people, but he will go out of his way to help or do nice, or at least, decent things  ( well, occasionally anyway--- and depending on the person in question ).  furthermore, for all of his talk of wanting to kill dazai, wanting him dead  ( even going so far as to threaten to end him himself time and time again ),  he’s never once hesitated to protect him or to save his life, which says a lot more than he wants it to--- or that he’ll ever admit.

The Secret Society of the Illuminati
New Post has been published on https://hititem.kr/the-secret-society-of-the-illuminati/
The Secret Society of the Illuminati
– This week on BuzzFeed Unsolved we’re masking the Illuminati. Is is an actual thing? What the hell is it? – it is not a factor. – okay, process it with an open intellect, let’s get started. – best. – Shockingly, the Illuminati sincerely has an extraordinarily actual historical foundation. In 1776, in Bavaria, Germany, Adam Weishaupt, a German professor, prompted the superb of French philosophy. As a rule secularism and rational notion, decided to type an institution to shield these beliefs. Adam Weishaupt viewed becoming a member of the freemasons to help propagate his views however unfortunately, would not manage to pay for the admission cost. (laughter) So as an alternative, Weishaupt formed a secret group of his possess. He known as it, The Order of the Illuminati. I do not consider they met with the aid of the instruct tracks it used to be in general a basement, kinda like this. It was most likely whatever like this. – Yeah, well we will bet yeah. – I don’t know why i am holding that, k. The Illuminati had an anti-religious stance and concerned with the goals of self-capabilities, self-improvement, social reform and free concept.Naturally, conservatives viewed this a hazard to the church and by using the mid to late 1780s, the Illuminati used to be stopped and the energetic recruiting people into secret societies, was criminalized. Nevertheless, Weishaupt and the Illuminati would go Kobe in the fourth quarter. And continue to push on, persisting with meetings and finally spreading to France earlier than disappearing into obscurity. However, some individuals think, they survived. This is a part of an interview I had with an proficient.- good they believe that the core crew was fashioned back then and has evolve and so again in the 1920s, there have been some fascists who believed that the Illuminati had been a gaggle of Jews who controlled the sector. Right after World warfare II, extremist anti-communists believed that the Illuminati have been a gaggle of communists who managed the sector and most just lately the Illuminati conspiracy theorists believe that the Illuminati are a part of the new World Order.- Many humans feel the Illuminati seeked to make a dominant one world totalitarian govt, referred to as the brand new World Order. Correctly, in a 2013 countrywide ballot with the aid of public policy polling, 28 percentage of voters ballot feel within the probability of a brand new World Order. Some individuals suppose that the affect of the Illuminati and the brand new World Order, goes as high as the president of the united states. Here is an eerie clip from an historic George H.W. Bush speech when he used to be in workplace. – we’ve before us, the possibility to forge for ourselves and for future generations, a brand new World Order, an international with the guideline of regulation, now not the law of the jungles, governs the behavior of international locations, after we are successful and we will be able to be. We had an actual threat at this New World Order. An order in which a credible United nations can use its peacekeeping role to satisfy the promise and vision of the UN’s founders. – All this begs the question, what is the New World Order and what will it do? Assuming the Illuminati and the brand new World Order are one within the identical, let’s hop down the rabbit hole and take a appear at one of the most theories as to who’s in the New World Order. This primary conception is from a man named Mark Koernke. AKA "Mark from Michigan." A proper wing militia activist and propagandist who believes that the new World Order is made above the U.S. Govt, the UN and more than a few different businesses pushing an global agenda. He believes this institution will do away with American’s rights, type an all strong executive and put non-Illuminati contributors in camps run by using F.E.M.A. The 2d theory is from David Icke who believes that world leaders including Queen Elizabeth, President Barack Obama and the Clintons are honestly form transferring wizards. These lizard elite, are at the back of the freemasons and the Illuminati. The lizard race feeds off the human race and occasionally demands human sacrifices. Actually, the identical 2013 national poll photo an previous expose that four percentage of voters polled believe that, "Lizard humans manipulate our societies." The third theory is that the brand new World Order is hooked up to the anti-Christ considering that the Illuminati are Satanists.Pat Robertson, a conservative Christian wrote a book on the brand new World Order, that claims the crew is responsible for the French Revolution, the writing of the Communist Manifesto and the creation of the Federal Reserve, all in the service of creating, "a brand new order for the human race beneath the domination of Lucifer and his followers." The fourth idea is from Donald Marshall who believes that the Illuminati are killing celebrities and changing them with clones, used to brainwash society. I’m going to fuckin’ look it up right right here. – appear up Dolly the sheep. – alright first-class i will seem it up and did she begin off as just a little baby sheep? – sure. – whatever, ok, it appears there used to be a sheep clone. – Oh, apparently. – Purported famous person clones outed by means of web (mumbles), incorporate Beyonce, Eminem, Al Roker. And many more, but clone theorists additionally consider they’ve video evidence. – Marshall Mathers, some of you may comprehend him as Eminem however he is gonna join the Saturday night time crew with a tune intro commencing subsequent Saturday night but folks I wanna take you the world premier…Marshall are you k? – Yeah sorry– (laughter) are living television freaks me out somewhat bit. – good there you go, live television freaks him out a bit bit. – good, here’s Al Roker’s clip. Realize what she’s says, after which discover what his face goes to. – Why is that this a code phrase. – Some persons believe maybe it is like a trigger sequence the place his brain’s now receiving recommendations and being intellect manipulate. – Al Roker’s the Manchurian candidate and he’s gonna kill the president. – (laughs) Yeah. – Like they are saying in Catholic tuition, go away room for the holy ghost. (mystery track) – The expression he has on his face when he is frozen, is so fuckin’ funny to me, every time I watch it ‘reason I have no idea what it is, it can be like look. – you recognize what really, he looks like he just pooped his pants. (laughter) Who’s next? – this is Beyonce, incidentally, she did this for goodbye, I had to pace up the video. There she is going and then I fast forwarded the video here. She’s in some weird trance, I truely do not know what she’s doing. – She’s writing Lemonade in her head correct now. (laughter) – whether or not or now not individuals suppose this clone thought, many conspiracy theorists agree, that primary celebrities are within the Illuminati. They point at apparel picks and hand gestures. Often that of a pyramid, which is visible as an Illuminati symbol, as proof that designated celebrities are in the Illuminati. Beyonce and Jay-Z have been known to make a pyramid like symbol with their arms. Despite the fact that, this is additionally just like the emblem for Jay-Z’s label, Rockefeller files. – right (laughs). – however the flip on that, perhaps there is a rationale why he selected that image, see what I simply did there? – Yeah, you did it correct. – I did it.The title of their baby, Blue Ivy, has been interpreted to stand for, born living underneath evil, Illuminati’s very youngest. (laughter) – Wow, I can’t think they’d identify her anything with so apparent of a secret message in there. – nevertheless, both stars have denied their affiliation with the Illuminati in songs. Here’s a excerpt from Beyonce’s Formation, "Y’all haters corny with that Illuminati mess," and here is excert from Jay-Z’s verse in a song Free Mason, "I stated I was once robust, not that i’m a mason i am red scorching, i’m on my 1/3 six, but a satan i am no longer." other celebrities comprise Kanye West, who owns a necklace containing the emblem of the attention of Horus, which is related to the Illuminati and likewise obvious on the buck bill. Which by the way, the Fed, greenback bill, there it’s correct there, it is pretty apparent. Kayne’s interruption of Taylor Swift on the 2009 video track awards was said to be a method of initiating Taylor Swift into the Illuminati via humiliating or hazing her. However, here’s a quote from Kanye on the Illuminati, "i’m tired of men and women pinpointing musicians as the Illuminati. That’s ridiculous. We do not run anything; we’re celebrities." different celebrities which were accused of being within the Illuminati comprise woman Gaga, Rihanna, Madonna and Katy Perry simply to call a number of. She what you simply did. – Jesus Christ. (laughter) i am sorry Kobe. – The entire room is shaking correct now. Oh my God, I believe we just had an earthquake. – i’m sorry Kobe. – hold in intellect that it can be lovely convenient to make a claim that somebody is within the Illuminati. Hell, swiftly perusing my co-employee Quinta Brunson’s Instagram feed, I might see a couple of references to the Illuminati. – fairly? – just looking by means of the pics. Yeah, there’s even a snapshot the place i actually make the Rockefeller sign, in one among her portraits and it used to be rapidly called out by a remark, Illuminati verified. She additionally seems to be absent from her desk fairly traditionally. Perhaps to take care of Illuminati affairs. What if you’re within the Illuminati? – seem, i’m not in the Illuminati. – Wink. – i am not in the Illuminati, Quinta’s no longer within the Illuminati, you’ll be.- it’s lovely difficult to get into. And on that notice, i might prefer to point to a internet site called IlluminatiOfficial.Org and on that website, there may be a page referred to as join the Illuminati. An awfully interesting proposition certainly. So I reached out for an interview and here’s what I acquired again from their public members of the family director. Here is what the alleged Illuminati PR director wrote again based on my interview request, "unluckily contributors of the Illuminati aren’t currently on hand for on digital camera interviews." She also recounted, "there are numerous misconceptions about my client’s organization," and referred me to the website’s beliefs section. Which, is summary and quite exciting to claim the least however let’s consult with the professor an additional time. I assume the final question would be, what percent would you put on that the Illuminati is truely an actual factor. – good it used to be an actual factor, again in 1780 nevertheless it’s not a real thing anymore. I might say one hundred percent, it’s now not an actual thing. Many of the conspiracy theories make this loopy jump at some point, the place you’re following the path of evidence and it is smart and it is sensible and it makes sense and out of the blue, it’s crazy.- I would see an international where typically matters go past science or fact, that leap of faith is what you must make, to get to the reality. Might be that is just the loopy individual inside of me. (laughter) – i admire how you just out yourself as one of the crucial loopy men and women that she finds hard. – this is the thing, I saw the seem on her face after I mentioned that, she didn’t looked joyful. Am I gonna say outright the Illuminati is a real factor? No, i’m now not gonna say that but, is it possible? Yeah, it’s viable, why not? The fact that there might be some, all understanding institution beneath everything. – Are they Skyping, how are they assembly, the place are they assembly? They’re like, oh let’s simply meet in Toledo this yr (laughter) at the Radisson.- we have angered them once more. – Yeah. – do not talk about Toledo. (laughter) The factor i am pronouncing is, nothing’s unattainable. Typically you just gotta look at some thing with an open intellect, it’ll look crazy on the skin and i’ll admit, this all looks crazy. – So it is viable that there’s an institution centered by way of lizard folks, who most likely abduct and clone celebrities. – i’m no longer pronouncing pronouncing there may be lizard, ah fuck that’s what i’m saying. – Say lizard men and women out loud. – No. – Yeah. – No (laughs). – own it Ryan, say lizard people out loud. – We might sit down right here and speak about this all day but regardless, the existence of the Illuminati will stay unsolved.- well tell us in the comments if you happen to feel Ryan’s in the Illuminati ‘motive now i am sold. – (laughs) k. The good news is, you made it via this episode. The unhealthy news is, this is the last episode for this season of BuzzFeed Unsolved however, double excellent news, (laughs) Double excellent news. – Double excellent news is– – Double good information is there may be a new season children. And if i’m nonetheless alive in October, the new season will start. So hopefully i’ll see you there and i will be respiratory. If you happen to aren’t assassin and all of the persons that I’ve slided have not killed me, the Zodiac or the guys in Black or the Illuminati or of course, Quinta Brunson. .
