And what the fuck is up with how the guys treat Juice... Like I've heard people talk about how he kinda stayed a prospect before. But it never really hit me until I rewatched, and I don't like it. I might be taking it too seriously but I don't think it's fair, like, he does everything he can for the club but they still act like he's not really one of them, at least in the earlier seasons. Then there's season 4 in which he get closer to Chibs and we finally see him be cared for by one of his brothers. But aftet that and the betrayal, I feel like the way he's handled truly resembles a kid who fucked up and not someone who was trapped and made a bad decisions. We can really see it in the way Jax handles both Tig and Juice's betrayals. He resents Tig but ultimately saves him, even though we suspect he didn't originally want to. But with Juice, he immediatly gives him up, it's weird, like he doesn't care for him and is more angry about the fact that he strayed from his authority than about the fact that he hurt the club. I just don't think Jax would have accepted that another brother be given the same treatement Juice got in prison, even for the same crime against the club. And it pains me to see that such a deep, sensible character was so easily given up on, it badly reflects the club's attachment to brotherhood and mutual care.

Abel getting kidnapped really fucked up Jax and Tara’s relationship. It was the moment that planted the seed of doubt for Jax. Her being there when Abel was taken really fucked him all the way up.

I knew he would die. Between the Geto parallels, and the whole narrative of Gojo wanting his students to surpass him and make a better jujutsu world or whatever, and Gege’s straight up hatred of the character, and the juxtaposition of a super uplifting scene (him winning) with an impending black moment—I get it. I knew he would die. The signs were all there.

But just like I said a few months ago, I think this is boring.

The whole manga hypes up how strong Gojo is and talks about how his birth literally changed the world. Then this hyped up character gets sealed for like 100+ chapters. Then he gets out, is still hyped up, fights, and then… dies.

Like I’m a lil bored? Or maybe I’m just not being hit with a heavy emotional punch from this?

I mean, what the actual hell is the point of having a character THAT important/powerful just to off them? I know he’s just beaten an unbeatable enemy but idk. I feel like I’m missing an important emotional moment. (Which is entirely possible because these are just leaks and I haven’t read the full chapter)

For example, Gojo never has an emotional struggle with fighting Sukuna despite him wearing Megumi’s body. There doesn’t seem to be a moment of the mentor passing the torch to the student the way there was one with Nanami and Yuji. Jesus, he doesn’t even get to confront the monster who is in Geto’s body one final time.

I stand by my original idea. Instead of just killing him for the sake of getting rid of him, why not do something more meaningful? Why not take his eyes? Take away the only thing that makes Satoru Gojo special and make him be just like everybody else. Make him live in a world where he is essentially nobody, where he’s unimportant. Make him grapple with that.

And if you’re going to kill him then why not make it more interesting and have him completely fail? Why not make him fail so spectacularly that in his dying breath he realizes that being the strongest meant nothing because he couldn’t protect his students or anyone else he cared about?

I just hate seeing such interesting characters wasted like that. Of course, I’m sure there are people who will disagree SO HARD with me that I’ll get pissed off DMs about it. But that’s how I feel. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Or maybe I’m totally wrong and when I read the full chapter I’ll be blown away by the emotional payoff (assuming it isn’t just through a fucking flashback). Maybe I’ll read the full chapter and love the death.

I really hate that the Irish use Jax. The whole season, they use his son to get what they need. But the worst part us when fucking Maureen puts John Tellers letters in Jaxs bag and Tara finds them. If she hadn't done that then Tara wouldn't have known Clay killed JT and wouldn't have been in harms way, she wouldn't have been nearly kidnapped and had her hand broken. She would have stayed a bit happier and not turned against Gemma and probably wouldn't have fucking died. This whole show. I hate this show.

I love love love!! The sons of anarchy au!! I’m not familiar with the show, but you mentioned it was like a Greek tragedy but with motorcycles? Are you still doing that in this au or is it more lighthearted?

The show is pretty great (it has definitely aged lol) but the gist is a biker, Jax Teller, struggles to balance being a father and being involved in an outlaw motorcycle club. Sons of Anarchy, aka SAMCRO, is a motorcycle club that operates both illegal and legal businesses in the small town of Charming.

in this AU the club, The Justice League, is gonna be more vigilante justice stuff instead of illegal business like gun-running. It's definitely not gonna be as tragic (pretty much everyone is dead or in a very bad place at the end of the show) but it's gonna be sad.

Like when Jax dies in the same way his father does after he kills his own mother after he learns she had killed his wife in a misunderstanding. Very greek tragedy.

Plus like, Jax killing himself being the very last scene in an effort for his sons to not be brought up in the violence. But the cut before has his oldest playing with his Sons of Anarchy ring as he is taken away from Charming. *chefs kiss*

I'm really gonna lean into the cyclical nature of life in this AU, just like the show did.

Like how Bruce sees himself in Dick and by being his father, has doomed him into making the same mistakes he had. And after Bruce dies, Dick is the leader of the JL and has to raise Damian, repeating the cycle again.
