Fuck it. Take some dsmp countries worldbuilding for an AU I'm working on.
Snowchester. originally it was l'manberg's industrial sector of claimed land, including a nuclear research lab (not limited to weapons but mostly yea, i like to think they had a decent physics department and were trying to figure out nuclear reactors to help power the city when things started getting worse) but ofc it turned into an industrial town since workers migrated there. you have small farms of hardy vegetables and their own traditions and such. it ends up gaining independence of lmanberg as like a separate country but it's still a colony yk since they wanted to be allow the people of snowchester to be seen as their own people whilst being able to easily keep their lmanberg citizenship and such given they're all first generation migrants basically. snowchester's main things are engineering (electrical, mechanical, anything they can get to do with mechanics), physics and nuclear physics. they've got some primary industry in extracting natural materials required for the nukes (the specific area is where there's a lot of very deeply buried inactive nuclear ore) and ofc secondary industry in the processing of those materials too since they're refined there too. snowchester has very little tertiary industry, and quite a bit of quaternary in terms of engineering and designers and such. meanwhile l'manberg has quite a bit of quaternary and tertiary industry but not nearly as much secondary (they mainly export food products, however, and often jewellery too) and basically no primary industry.
snowchester remains one of the more populated areas on the server after the egg, with how it's self sufficient and a bit too cold for the vines still. some are creeping up the shore though and nobody's too sure how long they have til the town is uninhabitable.
the dsmp specialises in primary industry and tertiary. all its manufacturing is either outsourced to lmanberg or the badlands. cause like. the badlands is an extremely good place to have a lot of manufacturing and quaternary as well, and they just do fuck all everything. they are THE manufacturing specialists (also cause sam would definitely like that kind of thing and help out with it).
kinoko exports agricultural goods and has one of the most popular brewing industries on the server, as well as being renowned for the general quality of ingredients and the amount of cafes. also has a lot of builders, there's a decent amount of construction done there due to the materials used in most of the buildings, it attracts a lot of carpenters and construction workers who want to test their skill working with mushrooms sturdy enough to build a house with. las nevadas is entirely tertiary and quaternary industry, they outside a lot to lmanberg and the badlands. basically after el rapids dispersed they created las nevadas so the few people who lived there moved to las nevadas, and people probably migrated from elsewhere too, but el rapids was planned to have a decent entertainment industry. las nevadas has lots of builders and carpenters and jewellery sellers but it's all bespoke stuff, and a lot of it is high end or hand made goods too. it's where you'll go to find the best restaurants and hotels and night clubs and casinos. it's where you meet the big business execs and where there's a lot of cramped office buildings, and the food is quite lovely since it's so close to kinoko they get fresh ingredient imports every day.
also foolish's summer home is a tourist attraction and resort. you've also just got foolish there. he's always seen building smth.

Steve’s face softened at that. “Those are a little easier than a tie. Just give it a try and if you can’t, I’ll help.”
“Okay,” he said quietly as he delicately took them out of the box.
Steve opened his other drawer that had all his ties. He glanced back at Jonathan and then back to the drawer. He sorted through a few, trying to find the right one. Finally he found one he was happy with and walked over to Jonathan.
The poor guy was struggling with the cufflinks. Steve had to take mercy on him.
“Let me,” he said, holding his hand out for the cufflinks.
Jonathan’s face burned brighter as he gently placed them in the palm of Steve’s hand. Steve took the cufflinks and motioned for Jonathan to stretch his arms out. He complied, reaching his arms out so Steve could fasten them. Steve’s fingers grazed against Jonathan’s skin as he fastened the cufflinks.
“See,” Steve said once he’d finished. “They elevate the whole look.”
“Yeah,” Jonathan said unconvincingly.
“Come here,” Steve motioned for him to stand in front of his mirror. Jonathan begrudgingly complied. He stood in front of the mirror and Steve came up behind him. He drape the tie over the back of Jonathan’s neck, letting the ends dangle against his throat. Steve’s fingers brushed against Jonathan’s skin as he took both ends in his hands.
“So watch,” Steve said, demonstrating how to tie the garment. He dictated every step, making sure Jonathan was watching the reflection. When he was done, he undid the tie and handed it to Jonathan. “Your turn, Byers.”

Life Stages CAS Challenge by @someone-elsa
Create a sim in all of their life stages. Or use a sim you’ve created before and create their other life stages. Or use a sim born in game or a premade. In addition to the six life stages you can create in CAS, you can add your own (like a tween for example, also maybe they don’t even live to the elderhood?). You can write their life story if you wish or let us guess. My inspiration for this challenge. Have fun and tag some people to try this out if you like! ooooooogh. I love it so much when I get to just experiment with style and learn new things. Also sharing it. definitely sharing it.
17. Talk to me about the minutiae of your current WIP. Tell me about the lore, the history, the detail, the things that won’t make it in the text.
I love this worldbuilding i did on the industries and human geography of dsmp countries for tteote/tobrs. it's p fun. also how egg immunity works, which is if if remember right actually based on one's certainty of who they are and what they want to be and their satisfaction with life and such. this is why tommy would've been immune to the egg before the 16th, and why early into his protegehood he'd be basically entirely immune. plus i can use this as an emotive narrative device <3
24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?
depends really, most of the time i'll outline and head in. sometimes i won't prep at all and just dive right in. sometimes i'll do outlines for all the chapters before writing, prewrite scenes and such.
i kinda like doing it too. it's nice, gives some downtime and time to think on the events and pacing as i write.

do you ship steddie along with stonathan? :) because I love your stonathan story it’s so good but would u ever make a steddie fic? also don’t take this as me being a hater or anything simply because I love steddie more than stonathan (because again your book is amazing!) I was just curious:)

Thank you for reaching out! This ask is very sweet. I do ship Steddie, but I am definitely more of a Stonathan shipper. That being said, I do have two prequels planned for once I finish TTEOT. One would be following Jonathan and Argyle, and the other would follow Steve and Eddie. That said, I likely won't begin work on that until after I conclude TTEOT (which still has a chunk left to go).
Other than that I don't really have anything else planned at this time. If you had any ideas/prompts and wanted to come off anon to discuss something like that further, I'd certainly be open to it!

TtEoT Update
Hey everyone, I’ve decided to stop posting Til the End of Time on both Tumblr and Wattpad.
I want to finish writing and editing the story first. Once it’s improved (a project I’m currently working on) I plan on publishing it, as it’s not part of any fandoms and is my own original work. If I do get it published (and copyrighted, I don’t want to risk anything. not trying to sound full of myself though!), I’ll start posting parts of it again, along with the usual content related to it (maps, character bios, oneshots/drabbles, etc.). I also start school again soon, and I won’t have much time to write or post anything, so that’s part of why I’m making this decision.
I’ve removed all posts on tookishrogue and my Wattpad, but that’s only until I finish writing, editing, getting it copyrighted, and published. Like I said, once all that’s done, and if I have time, I’ll post on that blog again. If I do, it won’t be the TtEoT that I posted before, I’ve already changed a lot of it and I’m only on chapter one of the rewrite.
I had planned on posting other stories I plan to write on tookishrogue, but I won’t unless I get them published/copyrighted. As of Saturday, my Wattpad and side blog on here are both completely gone. The accounts are still there, but there are no posts whatsoever.
