Pertaining to Sapsorrow, will we ever get to see the sun dress *ahem* in action?

The moon must rise before the sun shines above the horizon.

The next chapter of Sapsorrow is the dance of courtship between Mihawk and his governess, courtesy of the Clown adhering to the traditions of Kuraigana. Mihawk never got the opportunity to woo his bride, and now he must in order to win her favour. Thanks, Clown.

The following chapter will be the tying and untying of the sensual sundress: tied by a blindfolded Benn Beckman, and hopefully untied by Mihawk - if there's no complications that has him losing all composure and cut the damn thing off.

But rest assured, dear anon. More is to come for this tale.

snail update

so yesterday i went outside and the place i normally get snails was an absolute graveyard of shells it was awful

there were a few snails clinging to the base of the plants but that was it.

the ones in my tank are doing good, better than the outdoor snails. i lost my spray bottle for two days and they got very upset about that, even though i made sure to keep the soil moist they still got pretty discolored - but theyre doing great now. theyre vibing it up with the plants put in there, as well as the lettuce ive been supplying. dw it isnt iceberg, it's actual green and red lettuce

no new eggs on the dish and i cant find the eggs in the nursery anymore so idk how all that is gonna turn out.

i moved my pothos to the other window, so the plants should get more (top) light now.

and also!!!!!!!!! NEMA THE SPIDER IS BACK!!!!!! i noticed her in the opposite corner after her being gone for the past two months. idk where she went during that time or what she did to survive but yeah she's doing great in there and has probably been keeping the fruit flies at bay. i love you nema <3 shes lucky she's just a noodly little spider or i wouldnt be able to tolerate her but i love her anyway thank you nemmma

With the new Clangen update i'd just like to quickly clarify that upcoming moons (up to moon 34, to be exact) will not be influenced by any of the game's updates, as they have already been planned out

I'm doing a shop drop today, and I thought I'd give a preview of my pricing! This pretty much spans the range of my prices, although there are a few cheaper and more expensive items in the shop. Explanation of how I price things below the cut:

I price my work based on time it takes me to make them, size, and level of detail/sophistication of work. I start by paying myself a baseline of about 10 dollars an hour, but then I flex that based on how big the sculpture is. For instance, sculptures that are only 1 inch long or so, like my cicadas and hedgehogs, are rarely ever going to break 10 dollars even if they're super nice and detailed. Then I adjust the price for level of detail and sophistication, which is why the sakura fox and the moth are more expensive—they are fully detailed pieces with unique personality.

Shipping costs just depend on where the sculpture is going to and what size of box I need to use. It's easiest for me to ship to the USA and Canada, but I can look up other countries and arrange sales on a case-by-case basis too. You'd just need to message me about it, and I could unlist the piece in question so no one else bought it while I was doing the research.

Glimpse into my life: Paging Doctor Chopper

Hey everyone, Snail here! I spoke a while ago about chef-husband having a small accident at work and then gave a little tag update about selecting a one-piece doctor.

Trigger Warning, injury discussion below the cut.

On the 29th of Jan, chef-husband had a fall at work. He took his apprentices/students to an inflatable water park, overshot his landing on one of the ramps, and dislocated his shoulder. Upon getting out of the water and setting it back in, he broke his shoulder completely.

He's been off work for 7 weeks so far, recovering as best he can while in a sling, and managing the pain while awaiting further x-rays. He got an MRI yesterday, and the damage is worse than we initially thought.

Chef-husband has debris in the joint, the socket has a large tear in the cartilage. One of the main tendons is 50% torn, the broken bone is a little displaced, other small tendon, a build up of fluid, and some muscle damage.

The likely scenario from here is for him to get an Arthur-scope to clean out the debris, whereas the worst case scenario is full on surgery where they open him up and assess the damage and go from there.

So far, all we do is wait and hope for the best!

Doctor Chopper would be my first choice for a quick fix for him, but it would be fun to ask Franky or Kid to make him some chef-style attachments: brulee torch, meat cleaver, bone saw just to name a few! Maybe some tongs for him to do a quick 'click, click' at the bbq.

snail update

while i was out on my destressing walk i found a dead aquatic snail that has a super curly shell and im SO happy about it. idk how they got all the way up here in the mountains but im excited anyway. i looked around like a hungry troll for half an hour trying to find more

also, i figured out where all the snails hide when it seems like theyre all just gone. they go underneath the food dish ((((: and laid eggs on it (((((: so yeah i need to wait until theyre done their little orgy down there and then I'll remove the eggs after the leave. if i take the eggs in front of them they'll go lay in a different spot and, honestly, under the dish is the best spot because i change it every day and would be able to catch it soon enough.

I'd just leave the babies in the tank but the mesh top isnt small enough to keep the hatchlings inside.

i dont wanna have to lift up every leaf, every rock, every twig, and every pjece of moss to find a clump of eggs, ya feel???

also only the limax is still around. the other two arion subfuscus adults have passed on (all of them are slugs btw). the limax is actually super massive now, i accidentally put her in there when she was just the size of a little inchworm and now she's the size of an average handheld eraser. GIRTH INCLUDED. she only looks girthy when she's coiled up but limaxes are so long dude they stretch the entire tank long and look like a thin little line

but yeah theyre vibing. i put some more plants from the river in with them, too, so hopefully they have more self suffiecient food sources in the next week or two.
